✓ Used to work great now it freezesThis app used to be great and I have recommended to many of my students but here recently the app started to freeze completely and I would have to completely close out the app and reopen for it to work a short while before freezing again. At this point in time I will not be recommending this app again until this issue is solved and will be searching for a good alternative..JC6293Version: 1.3.9

✓ Bugs & bugsI recently purchased this app and since the beginning I have had problems with it. The main problem is that the specific search never works for me. When I try to search something, no options come up. The only way to find what I need is knowing exactly where it is. ✓ Highlighting tool is inconsistentThis could be a great app but unfortunately the highlighting tool is inconsistent. Half the time highlighting doesn’t work and at other times it will randomly stop working. I was highlighting requirements for 61.3 and had no problem highlighting Photo ID or Pilot Certificate but for some reason the app doesn’t want me to highlight Medical Certificate. Easy highlighting with Apple Pencil would also be appreciated.Jonathon SpencerVersion: 1.1

✓ Outdated informationThe app states that the AIM is the most current version, but May 2022 is not the most current version as of the date of this review (March 20, 2023). That version of the AIM aid actually 2 versions old, with the most recent version of the AIM dated November 3, 2022. ✓ Too expensive to be so slow and glitchyPushing the bottom option bar with the FAR, AIM, bookmarks, etc will sometimes shut the app down and not allow you to access these options, ultimately not allowing you to use the app. Flipping through the FAR’s is super slow and multiple touches are necessary rather than simply clicking the arrows and scrolling th pages. ✓ Was a good app, now too buggy to useThis was a great app, but now freezes so frequently that I can’t use it for reading the AIM. It works better for the FAR. Highlighting is also very buggy now. Sometimes when I highlight, it sticks, sometimes the highlight disappears, so I have to quit the app, restart it, and re-highlight the area. ✓ HighlightHighlighting is a bit clumsy in that it is hard to control what is being highlighted (or I just have fat fingers). When trying to highlight a word, line, etc., the highlight can jump to next line, word, whatever. Then have to cancel and start over. Besides that, great app. Update. Things have gotten worse. Now the app hangs up, literally, it will close after a few minutes, < 3. And when it is on it is difficult, some cases impossible,to search or edit bookmarks or even create a new bookmark. ✓ Needs a better search buttonThere should be a search button on the main page. I don’t want to separately search FAR or AIM. And show me the results as section titles not each word. The search feature is better and gets more results on the official FAR/AIM app. Also the layout for the AIM makes it hard to read, especially on an iPhone. ✓ Keeps freezing up!Freezes up often— 4 times in the last 10 mins! I have to force quit and re-open it often. On the plus side, it saves my place, but it’s still extremely frustrating. It’s also missing a lot of content in 49 CFR. Try to tap on any of the later parts, and an indefinite spinner will pop up. Finally, bookmarks don’t show the Part and Section numbers, just the titles. Makes it really hard to reference a specific section that you’ve bookmarked. I suggest one of the other many FAR/AIM apps..Pasta_farianVersion: 1.3.5

✓ Used to work, now crashes all the timeI have been using this for a while and it seemed to work, but as I’m preparing for my Instrument Check Ride, I’m trying to create bookmarks, and highlight sections of the AIM and each time I do that, the app crashes and doesn’t highlight. Also, when trying to look up a Section, which is key, it can’t find anything for the Section, Chapter, etc, but for in the Table of contents. That’s not helpful if it’s 200 pages into the document where I need to find the actual paragraph. Need to fix this asap. FAR AIM works most of the time. If it is not working for you, we recommend you excersise some patience and retry later or contact FAR AIM.
