✓ SuperbThis is the first App store review I've ever written. My view is that the previous succession of negative reviewers are not seriously committed to learning a foreign language or fully conscious of the pitfalls involved. I've been circling around learning Mandarin for a long time. The Pimsleur lessons are just fantastic and I'm so glad to have discovered them (using it in combination with Heisig's book for the writing feels just right). I love the way Pimsleur gets me to relax and 'tricks' me into speaking without conscious effort. I love the clean, clear, clutter-free feel of the lessons. The repetition is really valuable; I can't stand doing this process with an actual person - I feel deeply silly (and it gets expensive if you're paying by the hour). This is precision-targetted language-learning nirvana. I can't tell you how encouraged I am by these lessons. Thank you, Pimsleur..Version: 2.3
✓ BY FAR THE BEST.I am not the kind of guy who just loves a good, juicy, book on grammar. (I’d rather go to the dentist.) I’m extremely active, travel a lot, and I communicate for a living. I go to Central America a lot and NO ONE you’re going to encounter in daily life is an expert in Spanish grammar in Central America, as is the case with English in the USA. I have had the luxury of having access to R. Stone and the Bbl app. Nope. Pimsleur? YEP. It’s different. It’s way better. It’s not a pain. I don’t get annoyed. I learn EXTREMELY QUICKLY. And it’s almost weird; I live in an area of Los Angeles where there are tons of Spanish speakers and I find myself walking around listening in on other’s conversations without even meaning to. It’s pretty fascinating. (Apparently… I am considered attractive to some in the Latin American culture… who knew... :-) I no longer need the basic stuff but you know, who wants to only know how to order a beer and where the bathrooms are in conversation? It’s nice to talk about the things that people really care about, so I’m refreshing now and will go as advanced as the course goes. I’ve had the Pimsleur audio course for years, and I have now abandoned everything else except for the Pimsleur app. It. Is. Different. Better. Do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!.Version: 4.4

✗ Poor Customer ServiceI updated my payment method (PayPal) but Pimsleur cut me off the next day, despite PayPal saying they had been authorised to take money from my account. I tried to update my payment information again by logging into Pimsleur but it would not allow me to update any of my information. I then emailed them and they told me to create a new account with the same email address so I did not lose my progress. I tried this but as my email already exists in their system it won’t allow me to create an account. Despite further emails asking for help I have had no response from them. Very disappointing!.Version: 5.2
✗ Bugs need fixingGreat app & program. That being said, when I go into the reading materials (for Hebrew), they never come up. Just a continuous loading screen. On 2 different hi speed wifi’s and mobile data- just loading screen. Fix and I’ll give 5 stars..Version: 2.15
