✓ Must have for all Acupuncturist!You will use this app everyday and be a better acupuncturist for it. The support team is very responsive and interested in any app suggestions that you may have. ✓ Standard version issues initiallyThe app did not automatically upgrade to the standard version when I purchased it. This was inconvenient because I had planned on using it later that day and the next. After emailing the customer service team, I heard back from them 2 - 3 days later. They had me fill out a form to ‘restore’ the service, but once I did that, it worked by later that day. It’s a great app though. Am glad I purchased it. So if you have the time and don’t mind the hassle this might potentially cause you, then it’s likely worth it..Version: 3.1.8
✓ Great resourceThis is a great tool to have in class. I have the app on my phone and my tablet. I used this more than I used the actual book itself. It was very quick to the point. Few things I would like to see improved: more tests on functions of points in the mobile app in addition to location. I wish the app had a read out loud feature. Maybe work with apple to allow Siri to read the words on the pages? Over great app and very useful for points location..Version: 3.1.5

✓ The best resource you will ever need!Without a doubt this is the best resource you will ever need or want. I have tried many apps over the years to see if any come close to this, but this truly soars above any. Clear and concise videos supplement the text and drawings better than I have seen anywhere. This is the ideal guide to support training and just wish I’d had something like this 40 years ago. It will continue to be a valuable resource in any practice. Well worth 5 times the price! ✓ Great content and great support by the teamI started using this service 6 years ago, when I had to sit for exam to get an acupuncturist certificate in NZ as a Japanese professional acupuncturist. Thanks to this amazingly well organised program, learning by myself, I passed the test and have worked till recently in NZ. Now I became again a student of a college here and needed to brush up my knowledge. I was amazed that my account was still there as a life long member while I was ready to pay the whole price as I knew it it was truly worthy. ✓ Worst upgrade everInstead of fixing the issues from the previous broken version (paid in full), this version requires subscription before you can view any content in full!! The lite version you get grandfathered in is absolutely rubbish!! Is this how you reward paid customers? Or is this version just a cash cow to rake in more money?! -Update: review has been updated. The account transfer did not go through when i tried to log into to my existing acct. After contacting the support team, my access is now changed to: “standard”. Replaces (and goes beyond!) a 15lb, $120 book!MOA has been my go to reference for acupuncture points since before there was an app, and I love that now, Peter Deadman’s classic is ON MY PHONE. I just don’t understand how people nit pick with the interface (which has gotten better over the nine years in which I’ve had the app), but to each their own. And whatever they’re charging these days is peanuts compared to the price (and weight!) of the original time. ✓ Horrible Customer Service - UPDATEApp isn’t working with the new iOS 13 update and customer service hasn’t answered my emails. I paid a buttload for the premiere version, the least you could do is reply to your users. ✓ Upgrade of the decadeI have owned A Manual of acupuncture app since the day it was launched, and I have used it weekly, if not daily, ever since. This app has been my go to Acupuncture app for my clinical practice and clinical research because of its ease-of-use and detailed description, and my favorite part are the videos which is second to none of any other apps out there for acupuncture. I understand their need to upgrade their app to stay current with the updates of technology. I don’t mind at all paying for the upgrade since I have received my moneys worth years ago. The upgrade is user-friendly, works great on my iPad Pro , As well as on my Samsung galaxy note 9 and they are syncing beautifully. The videos are clear & crisp and they even have a separate tab so you can go straight to them faster. You can add your own notes and the pro edition has a very thorough reference section along with videos of the channels and collaterals and so much more. It took a week for the glitches to get through but it was well worth the wait because of customer service staying on top of the issues. I suggest you upgrade to the pro version whether you are a student or doctor. This app is back to being number one Acupuncture app on Apple and Google play store. ✓ The most complete app on acupuncture that you will find!I purchased this app after giving away my hard copy book to my acupuncturist. I quickly realized that I missed my book and decided to try out the app. I am so happy I did because it is so much more convenient to use and access information compared to the book. You will not find any more complete resource on acupuncture out there in terms of content and information. MOA is truly the holy grail on acupuncture. I also had quick support help from a log in issue I had for accessing the book online, which was fixed within a day. Great app, and great support! ✓ Needs improvementGiving 5 stars because it is still an excellent resource but, I keep getting logged out of the app which is inconvenient when using in clinic or to when you want to look something up in a moments notice. It is slower that the first version. The updated version offers more but the convenience and speed seems to have been sacrificed. The website is great as well but response is slow. ✓ Great App. A few tweaks would be helpfulEssential resource for any student of Chinese Medicine. I have found two major issues, which I hope the app developers would consider resolving in future updates: 1. Font size on the iPad app: the font is extremely small and there is no way to enlarge it. I do not use the iPad app as a result. Please address this issue. 2. It would be helpful if the Chinese names for the channels would be included, such as those for the Extraordinary Vessels, Governing Vessels, etc. Many teachers use the chinese names when referring to these channels, and without even a reference to these names in the MoA, it makes it difficult to navigate. The points all have english and Chinese, so it would make sense to have the same for the channels. All in all, a fantastic resource..Version: 3.2.0
