✓ Found a notes app which is nearly 100%I have tried many notes apps on iOS which served the purpose so far. Happened to try minimal app and I quite like the simple “minimal” UI which I felt was lacking in the other apps. Plus, the app supports markdown, export and import features and pretty much everything the other apps does. Another key highlight is the search which is quite important for me. It does tags, find in note highlighting the search keyword within notes and spotlight search on iPhone which is mind blowing. I am really looking for the app owner to include more features in the future to include images, PDF documents and the ability to search within similar to apple notes. There is a promise and the developer is keen to understand our requirements and improve each day!!.Version: 1.5
✓ Using Minimal To Take The Leap into Writing for a LivingI was borne to write and its been a niggler all my life. The keyboard and computer screen have really only replaced the typewriter in my middle lifetime, but I haven’t found the feel for writing on the laptop as organic as typing messy ink on paper. I’ve been trying writing apps on and off for a number of years, and finally the simple palette of minimal and it no pressure, simply laid out template has been a winner. To those reading this review - downloading the app is pointless unless you sign up to the free trial. I did feel misled into thinking could try this app without having to signup to one of those free trials that automatically convert into membership. To the devs - are there plans for 3rd party cloud syncing? That’s the one feature holding me back from purchase. ✓ I like this app a lotI get distracted very easily by clutter and it frustrates me sometimes. I just want to make quick organised notes but some apps are a bit too tedious. It’s very quick to make your text bold or italic etc, quick to put it in numerical lists or simple bullet points and it still looks great! ✓ The Best Note App for Professional WritersMinimal is hands down the best note app for professional writers. Minimal backs up to both the user device and iCloud which makes it MUCH SAFER in respect to data loss than competitor note apps. Additionally, the clean minimalist interface is simple and intuitive to use and the formatting options are perfectly balanced with exactly what is needed on a daily basis for professional writers. I highly recommend the Minimal app and I have recently migrated my entire professional note library to Minimal I contacted the developer and requested a shorter title/line text feature for a future update so hopefully this will help those of you who have extensive note libraries like myself. ✓ Customisable Text ControlsI downloaded this the other day and I've got to say, it's name is lived up to! The only deficit is being unable to change font style (to my knowledge so far) and configure the commands for italics, bold, etc. They all use their own symbol, like //// and **, but when copy pasting into other sites, those symbols aren't recognised for their command on the text inside. This makes it so that every time, I'm manually inputing the appropriate symbols for the site to actually get italics or bold or underline. So, what I'm wondering is, is if there could be something implemented that allows the user to customise the symbols that dictate text behaviour? Give a list of options they could switch between, and still have the text behave normally in this app? Like using • A user could switch from //// for italics and replace the command with • So, when in the app, highlighting text and switching to italics would go from //example// to •example• It'd look the same in this app and allow easy transfers of text to other sites that use wide ranges of shadow text commands. - Happy user..Version: 1.3.3

✓ The other directionI’ve tried a bunch of other writing apps, and I really appreciate how the design of Minimal just goes in the other direction of most of the other apps. It’s lovely to write in, and the markdown in the display is very subtle. I like writing in markdown and reading without the markings. Minimal does an elegant job at that. While Minimal has a good set of features, it doesn’t have a million of them. It’s really easy to “put pen to paper” and start writing. The other direction I mentioned - I love love love how notes disappear if they aren’t in use. I don’t need bi directional links for everything I write. Sometimes I just want to write without thinking of everything at the same time. Long story short, Minimal is well designed, and helps me stay in the moment..Version: 1.3.1

The world of note-taking is crazy right now. New ones are popping up what feels like every day. And this dork is tired and wanted to find a note-taking app and be done. And I did. Finally. I have every notes app you can imagine on my mac and don't get me wrong, there are some powerful and unique apps out there, but when it came down to it and I looked at how I was actually working, I saw that the majority of the "notes" I create get to a point where they graduate and are used somewhere else after I was done. A natural progression in my workflow. Emails, blog posts, presentations, or even jotting down ideas that I wanted to get down, so I didn't forget them. But even with the spontaneous ideas, they would end up somewhere else entirely in my workflow, like Miro, ClickUp, or Things. In the end, as I mentioned, I found my note-taking app. Finally. The aesthetic is so beautiful which invites me to write more productively. The design has been implemented to reduce distractions and keep you on task which has been very helpful for me. First I would get rid of premium and replace it with cool things like the purchases in the game Blackbox. For instance in that game you can buy a $3 coffee for the devs and get a cool icon or get fun irl merch. I have never been a fan of apps with premium but there isn’t much that isn’t accessible. We should be able to write underneath other writing and make it apparent that this content refers to the original line. Right now, we can only make bulleted lists in the same column as the rest of our writing. This, for me, defeats the purpose of creating a bulleted list within a note. I can’t tell what’s a part of the list and what’s not! Please please please fix this and create a “tab” button within a note. This app would be perfect, then. Eg.
