WordGo: Start a Bible Study for Positive User Reviews

Great app, room for improvementThe app is awesome, the ui is exceptional, like the animations are smooth. The content and studies are good too. My only thing is that the ux side needs some improvement. I lead a group and the app is constantly logging me out, is not big deal for me I have a password manager. but other in my group the keep forgetting their password. Second is the switch between courses, that is something I noticed brings confusion. Keep the good work I know mobile development is not easy, been there. Thanks for this app!.Version: 2.3.6

Excellent way to study the BibleThis app is an excellent way to start or maintain a habit of regular Bible study. It’s great for groups or individuals. It has lots of options to accommodate your needs: adjustable time commitments, a variety of study topics, the ability to study alone or with others. My only suggestion for improvement is to allow someone to “catch up” (do 2 lessons) or “pick up where you left off” rather than defaulting to the lesson assigned for the day by skipping lessons. If I miss a day or a week and come back to it, I don’t want to skip lessons, I want to continue the study in order. Especially when I’m doing it as an individual..Version: 2.3.6

Great StudiesI enjoy the studies. The lectures are excellent. I like that I can go at my own pace. It’s a little cumbersome for me to navigate. It seems to not always open where I left off. That may be something I’m doing wrong. I would like to be able to have it on my laptop. Using the phone is not as easy for me. Also, I attended BSF classes. There was no mention of this app. I learned about it from my daughter. I have shared about it with others. I have not, formally, done this as a group, but have discussed passages, as I’ve gone through them, with others. I prefer this over the BSF meetings..Version: 1.8.1

Have enjoyed the studies but it gives answersThis app is pretty good for a shortened version of BSF. I have done two different studies with two different women’s groups and it has created some pretty good conversation. I don’t feel like I get a whole lot out of the study but the conversations it creates are good. Sometimes the thought questions in the app seem to come out of nowhere and are a stretch to apply to the lesson. What I don’t like about it is it gives “insights” for almost every question, and tells you the answers. The first time I did the study, it didn’t give those insights to all the members of the group, only the leader. That was helpful and forced the members to think about the questions instead of just looking at the answers. But this time everyone has the insights. I wish they hadn’t changed it. I also have some who would rather have it printed than doing it on a phone. I wish there was that option..Version: 1.8.2

Hope you will try Word Go!WordGo is the best App for Bible Study. It is the perfect fit for summer time when other Bible Studies typically take a break. What I like is the variety of studies (Old Testament and New Testament) and the opportunity to choose what to study. The length of studies can be short (2 weeks) while others are longer (6 weeks). WordGo is an excellent app!.Version: 1.8.1

Excellent content to learn about bible and Gods loveThis app is great. The content is helpful, engaging, and an overall excellent resource for learning your bible and understanding context and content. There is a learning curve with the app. If you set your time study time under :30 it will skip questions. (Seems like a glitch but it’s not). Things can be a little hard to find at times, sometimes I just have to push every button to find it so they could work on making it a little more user-friendly but overall the content is the best I found..Version: 1.2.4

Great truths!!My husband and I are both BSF leaders. He is online and I am in person. We decided to do WordGo together and at first it was difficult to navigate BUT once we got the hang of it it was easy. Thank you BSF for coming up with this app so that we are able to study so much more during the summer. We are doing the study of 1-3 John snd on the first day I had to cry when I learned the truth that John was know as ‘son of thunder’ snd in developing his relationship and focus on Christ he was transformed. I struggle with anger and so it was a great comfort, a great promise and just shows me more and more how our faithful, loving God cares about me!! To God be the glory!!.Version: 2.3.6

Quality Bible studies, easy accessWordGo offers super, high quality Bible studies in lengths of two, three, four, and six-weeks, which makes it easy to fit into my varied schedule. I also found it easy to invite friends to join in Bible study with me. The questions, background notes about each passage, and the teaching sessions are excellent. These studies move me to look deeper inside, and focus on God and living more like Jesus Christ..Version: 1.8.1

Small group successWith huge gratitude again for BSF and endeavors to keeping us believers in the word! Common thread in our small group was the struggle to stay in Gods word throughout the week. WordGo has created the space and opportunity to keep our group accountable by staying in Gods word easily with this app! We now are coming together and sharing each week sharing what we have learned from God through each book of the Bible. I love we are going so fast and covering so much in God word! It was exactly what we needed. Thank you again! Can’t wait for more books of the Bible to be added into WordGo! Praying for y’all as well!.Version: 1.8.1

Have done several mini studiesKeeps me in the word all summer long!.Version: 2.0.20

Great for studying with friends!I’ve been using WordGo with a group of friends from church. We’ve completed the Ruth and Hebrews studies so far and will be starting a new one soon! 😄.Version: 1.3.0

Living loving learningI found this app very easy to navigate but there is some room for improvements which I’ve already seen some come through in the updates. Most importantly it is a wonderful way to study God’s word. The study notes each day are a nice added touch. The application questions make examine yourself and are great during group discussions. I’ve done two studies so far using Zoom video conferencing to do groups. I especially love that the length of the studies are around 4-5 weeks. I’ve seen comments about all questions not showing up. The app lets you select how much time you want to devote to study each day. If your time is short, then you won’t see all the questions. However if you have just 20 minutes each day, I think you will see them all. Thank you BSF, you are a blessing!!.Version: 1.2.4

Love this!I have loved having this option for personal Bible study! Thank you for making this accessible and easy to use. My one request: I wish there was a way to opt-out or not automatically advance the study days. As much as I want to use this daily, life gets in the way. If the next day is suppose to be week 1 day 3, I wish the app would “stay” on that day until I’ve completed that day. It’s frustrating to try to remember where you are especially if you miss a couple of days and the app auto-advances to the next week. I’ve even seen some Bible study apps with a “catch me up” feature that reverts back to the last completed day and that would also be a good option..Version: 2.0.20

Great way to study God’s Word.My family and I are using WordGo to study God’s Word. for several months now , it has been so helpful for all of us, everyone is involved by answering the questions and sharing the answers with each other, everything is explained clearly in the notes and the lectures are just amazingly helpful, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the Bible and grow in their faith. Sako Seta.Version: 1.8.2

Designed for phone onlyI’ve been part of BSF for 25 years and would love to use this app. However, I prefer using a tablet with keyboard. Since the app is designed for smartphones only, it’s usable only in portrait mode. That means landscape mode on my tablet with keyboard is unavailable. Please consider allowing landscape orientation. I’d love to do these extra studies with my kids and other friends but find typing on a phone to be a terrible hindrance for me. I’m giving it 4 stars despite not having used it. I’m sure it’s wonderful, but the lack of landscape mode knocks it down a notch..Version: 1.8.0

Still a little roughGreat way to bring the word home. I love that the notes are right there to read daily. I wish that the scripture notations in the questions would be a link or listed in the daily reading so I wouldn’t have to open another app or go find my bible. I would love to highlight the notes. As a group leader I have no idea what is sent to my invitees and if I need to make other contact with them to encourage them to come...I sent myself an invite at another email address...which I haven’t looked at yet..Version: 1.2.4

There are so many treasures here!Stick with the App and figure out the navigation and you will be greatly rewarded. These studies are a precious gift to everyone who takes the time to do them. They are perfect amounts for each day and the questions really get you thinking about God's word in very fresh ways. I am going to use these studies with my church women and with my friends outside the church. Thank you to all who contributed to this for a wonderful helpful set of studies. This is an answer to prayer for me..Version: 2.0.0

WordGo by BSF is solid biblical learningI was so blessed when I found BSF and again when WordGo came out. I do both and love the depth of biblical learning and guidance. It is easy to navigate and the lectures and daily audios help pull it all together. I love that you can select are study time, how many days etc and that the app will prepare the daily lessons based on such. I’ve shared it with many friends and am helping them understand how to use it. I also love the tutorials on how to lead a group etc. A couple of things that I think can be improved in the app: 1. The daily reminder does not seem to keep up with where I am at in the study. If I do an extra day or two, it reminds me to do the next day vs intuitively knowing I’ve already done those days. 2. I’d love to see the option added to read an introduction to the book chosen to study; or at least a reminder to those using the app to read the introduction in their study bibles. If one does not have a study bible, having it on the app would be helpful for the reading to understand who wrote the book, when, to what audience etc… 3. When trying to set up the group with my daughter I couldn’t get it to conclude the set up. She did finally get it but trying to schedule the time etc. I’ll have to play with it more. Thankful for this great app and I have no doubt that you will continue to make improvements and address any app issues..Version: 1.8.2

LamentationsI love this study. It is the state of our affairs in the world today. But God is faithful through ot all. I am uplifted and was sorrowful before. Now I know God is always faithful.Version: 2.3.6

App keeps us accountableI love how everything is is one place and it keeps us focused and on subject. I love the “insights” piece is helpful and the recordings that give background to book of Bible. We did 1 Corinthians and we would continue with 2nd, but it’s not there yet😞 I agree that it would be nice to print out answers and I would like an option to be able to read everyone’s comments/answers some way. Overall, I enjoyed using this app....Version: 1.6.0

Review for Word GoMyself and the ladies in our small group have enjoyed this study very much. We changed up the two week studies to 4 week studies because of time constraints for us but it worked great. We all found it beneficial and it was great to be in the word throughout the summer. We took part in three studies. I would would this 4.5 mostly because there is no perfect except Our Lord and Saviour. Thankyou again for developing word go. Blessings to the team..Version: 1.8.1

My favorite Bible Study app!Just finished the Hebrews study and starting on the 1 Samuel study. The questions are a good mix of Bible truth and personal application. I love that I can work on the study wherever I am because I always have my phone with me! Each day I find that God uses the Scriptures and questions to help me know Him better. Also love the lectures. I can listen to them while doing other things and be encouraged and inspired. So thankful for this app!.Version: 1.8.1

Increase depth of understandingIf your in need of a greater understanding of the Bible and desire to grow spiritually, this app is for you. It’s best to use the app with a group to gain the perspectives and insights of your group members allowing for deeper understanding of the Word. It’s flexible to the time you can commit to daily study. You can choose to study for 5 minutes up to 30 minutes. My group appreciated the higher thinking questions in each study as well as the descriptive notes for passages that were hard to understand. The notes provide valuable historical facts and cultural context to help readers know more about the stories they’re reading..Version: 1.8.1

What an awesome resourceI am so thankful for this app. It has been such a great resource for my husband & I but has also worked great for the young adult group at our church and for my parents who are rather isolated right now. So far I have done the advent study, the wisdom study and the James study. I just began the Acts study. Each have been really helpful in renewing a passion for the Bible and for stimulating me to love and good works. Thank you - I will keep sharing this app because it’s been a game changer for me..Version: 1.8.2

God’s Word on the moveI’m so thankful to The Lord for leading me to WordGo! This app is a fantastic tool for year around study and sharing of God’s Word. WordGo is leading the way in providing prayer time, “bite sized” Scripture passages, thoughtful and heartfelt questions, enlightening notes, superior lectures that are clear and convicting, and weekly “icing on the cake” in sharing with others. All these parts are working to fulfill the Great Commission of Our Lord to Go and make disciples, bringing the seeking heart face to Face with Jesus. Thanks again in all your efforts for God’s Kingdom. Marguerite.Version: 1.2.4

ExcellentWhat I love most about this form of study is how you learn with multiple avenues. First, you read God’s Word and express your answers on your own. I love the “insight” that you can click on just to see if I’m on the right track. Then there are notes to walk me through the passage I just went through to ensure I’m on track with my thinking. And lastly, there is a “lecture” at the end of the study to explain anything I may have had questions about. This form of study keeps me grounded in Gods Word!.Version: 2.3.6

Good start - great content - needs a few featuresI’ve been in BSF more than 10 years over two stints. The studies and the notes and audio clips/teachings are awesome! It’s been great to hear some of the teachers I’ve never had the opportunity to hear! I’m using WordGo to disciple a new believer - so we do studies together and meet every two weeks to discuss the two weeks of study we have done. However, I’ve not found a way to include 2 weeks of study into one in-person meeting. Or to be able to schedule each in person meeting as hoc (with no repeating pattern). Additionally, I’d love to be able to print some of the notes occasionally. Love the content! Keep it up!.Version: 2.0.20

So thankful for WordGo!I love studying the Bible through Bible Study Fellowship in a group setting. Now WordGo is available to do in a group or by yourself to keep reading and studying the Bible in depth. The notes give insight into different ways people may interpret passages and add insight from the time in which the passages were written. The lectures/ teaching have been excellent. I turn to these short studies when BSF is not in session..Version: 1.8.1

Wow! Great way to connect with friends and God!When the CoronaVirus hit, there were about 9 of us from different cities (and states) who wanted to connect to each other and to the Bible to seek help and guidance during this time of isolation and loneliness. I had heard of WordGo and wanted to try it. I appreciate how the app dine tunes it for you—how many days you want to study, trainings for the host, answers to questions, reminders on your phone to study (if you choose). We started with the 4 week Ruth study and it was amazing how applicable it is to what’s going on in the world right now. We also appreciated the podcast/lecture as well as the notes. One of the women in the group liked it so much she is going to start another group using it too. Well done WORDGO..Version: 1.1.0

Awesome bible study guide!WordGo app is an awesome Bible study guide that takes you through different books of the Bible. The questions are thought-provoking and the teaching is thorough. Highly recommend!!.Version: 1.8.0

Great Bible Study AppMy wife has consistently done BSF and spoken highly of it but due to schedules I could never participate. This provides short broken down sections from those same studies. I appreciate the bite size elements yet it touches on so much to help with retention, understanding, and reaching g people with their preferred learning method whether it is notes, questions, audio, etc One area I would like to see them improve is retaining the stopping point for the audio. The weekly audio is ~30m and I was interrupted so couldn’t complete on first sitting and when I came back, it was reset to the beginning..Version: 2.3.6

Inspiring AppI have used Word Go as an independent Bible study over the summer. It has inspired me to spend daily time with God and His word. I love the way it helps me organize with weekly goals broken down into daily goals. Each day’s reading is followed with questions to inspire me to think deeper. Many of the questions have insights to help me think beyond my own thoughts about the question. Each day there are notes about that day’s reading. To add to all of these tools, there is an audio lecture at the end of each week. If you attend BSF you will recognize all of these components. If you don’t attend BSF this is a wonderful way to begin studying God’s word..Version: 2.0.0

Excellent studies keep notes separateI love these studies. I love the set up, questions, notes about the studies pretty much everything. I haven’t found any bible studies that are better in twenty years. However, I have had my private notes disappear twice and my answers disappear once. I really value looking back at my notes and answers so I think I will start keeping an extra copy. Also, after we meet and take prayer requests we can’t access the prayers on the app so keep those separate..Version: 1.6.0

Great way to study God’s Word! This application has been a true blessing during the current Covid 19 situation. I’ve been able to reconnect with Christian sisters from across the country as we’ve studied Hebrews and now Joshua together. There is just enough content to challenge yet not overwhelm. As always, the notes and lectures from BSF are enlightening. Thank you so much for making this tool available and easy to navigate even for a group of “seasoned” believers..Version: 1.2.4

Wonderful courses! My husband and I got introduced to this app thru the Bible app actually. We started the James plan written by Bible Study Fellowship and we absolutely loved the plan. We wanted more which lead us to WordGo app! So far we have enjoyed the courses they have to offer. The selection is not tremendous but what has been wonderful is the way they deliver the study. You begin with reading the word, then questions and ends with notes which is a summary but also a think deeper. I hope that WordGo continues to add to their course library and that many are able to enjoy these courses about the Lord. Thank you!.Version: 2.3.6

Great Study AidReally enjoying WordGo precise yet engaging in its content and presentation of biblical truths..Version: 1.8.1

A great way to read your bible every dayWe just love this app. It helps us to read God’s word each day and the studies are so thoughtful and well prepared. Thank you guys!.Version: 2.2.23

Great App for group studyI’ve really enjoyed using this app with a group of friends. It has helped to keep us connected and accountable during this lockdown season..Version: 1.7.0

Highly recommendGreat biblical content, easy to use and well suited to groups of people. Would highly recommend for those that wish to grow deeper in the word..Version: 1.2.4

Great for Daily StudiesI really like this app. I’ve studied with my family that are in different states, so it’s been very good for our study. We have not been able to do it as a group on the app, because some could not navigate after I sent out the group message in email, it just would not work. So, we just complete it on the app as solo. We have had great discussions after the week, and learning so much together. Opens up conversations for a lot of questions. Other than the navigation of the app, I simply love it!.Version: 2.3.6

One of the BEST Bible Study ApsAs a group and as an individual, I have found the WordGo app wonderful in its teaching and encouragement to not just study scripture(it does this superbly) but to engage with the word and open ourselves to experience God’s presence as we are encouraged to apply the word to our lives. I love the insights and the recorded teaching. I love the Irish accent of the teacher. Wonderful app. We are now using it across all study groups at church..Version: 1.8.0

Excellent studies/Work in progressI love the studies in this app. They are in-depth and allow for great discussion and discovery. In addition, the notes and the lectures really cater to the different ways everyone learns. This is a great way to understand God’s word though the teachings of the Bible. The app itself takes some getting used to. The navigating can sometimes be glitchy and inconvenient. Also, as I can figure this app is only for the phone. This is becoming a barrier for some of my older family members who already are not used to technology. If possible, making this app tablet capable will make it a little better. Also, there is no way to print out information (though that might be by design). All in all I enjoy this app. We will be starting our third study in 1 and 2 Thes next Monday. Thanks for giving us another way to know God’s word..Version: 1.2.4

First group study finishedJust wrapped up a Sept - May study using your John series as a guide for our womens group. The study was a great tool for some of the women, especially breaking the personal studies into 6 days per week. Many of the women in my group were new to Bible study and commented that this aspect was helpful and really got them into a good routine. Great reviews overall from the group. The notes and lectures were helpful and insightful, and having the scripture on the phone was also very helpful. The app has a few quirks to it - it doesn’t pull up well during the study (at least on my phone) so that I can see the answers I’ve written. It tries to give me the keyboard to type but then it covers the answer or it won’t let me see all I’ve put down. Maybe allowing you to save an answer so it won’t bring up the keyboard would be helpful. The app also logs out instead of keeping you logged in so an option to remain logged in would be good. One other suggestion would be having a link into the scripture references when they are put into a question - this would be especially helpful for leaders during the time we gather. Other than that, the content, questions, notes, lectures all made for a wonderful first study for our group! Thank you BSF. We are heading into Joshua next..Version: 2.0.0

Test reviewAwesome study!.Version: 1.8.2

WordGo is an excellent Bible study tool! This app is soo worthwhile. Easy to use. Great questions, notes, and lectures. Very rich in reliable teaching. I use it for personal study time, and also led a group through Ruth..Version: 2.0.20

Great bible studiesI’m so grateful for Bible Study Fellowship International. Having attended them in person and found the experience very rewarding, I was thrilled when they began to offer their studies on line during Covid. I live on a remote island now, so I am able to do the studies either in my own or work with a group. They are well thought out and really help to deepen your understanding of the Bible..Version: 2.2.23

The Best Bible Study ToolThis app is a life saver. I found myself lost when it came to reading the bible, however WordGo was a game changer. It is easy to use, has in-app note sections, and has questions to guide you and still allow you to have your own thoughts/interpretations. Also, it’s free to use with almost no advertisements. I do not regret finding this, and I wish more people could utilize it..Version: 1.8.0

The best in-depth and most accessible Bible Study availableI have done several studies and can’t wait to get to the next one once I finish a study. I love all the options and the excellent teaching found in the notes and weekly teaching. The “view insights” is a great tool to take me deeper too. Thank you BSF for developing this wonderful tool to study God’s Word anytime and everywhere..Version: 2.0.20

High quality studies, rough UILove the quality of the Bible study. But always the first question of a new day doesn’t show within the Questions tab of that day. I’m forced to click on the calendar icon and see a full list of all questions. Very inefficient and annoying. In general the UI is a little confusing. Why is the weekly lecture on top if it’s meant as the last thing to do before group study? Why are questions missing from the individual days? Why can only the leader add and edit the prayer requests text box? It would be easier if all group members could write and enter things..Version: 1.2.4

Great! It’s a great app. The studies are great, the content is exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I don’t like is the weekly progress bar at the top of the screen. I wish it were at least a grid with lines but numbered or labeled with the days would be even better. Sometimes i lose track and it gets confusing which day i stopped on. The reminders and notifications are not working every day, so if i miss a few days i have no idea which day I’m on, especially now on the lent study, its a little confusing since the new week restarts every Wednesday..Version: 1.8.2

Best Bible study!I have grown so much in faith and understanding through these studies that don’t shy away from the truth, even when it’s addressing challenging topics. No fluff here, just rock solid Biblical truths! If you have been in a Bible Study Fellowship class before you will recognize the familiar pattern (questions, notes, lecture) and this truly does help you dive deeper into study than just reading the Bible. The layout makes it easy to lead a WordGo group discussion with a group, even if you haven’t led a Bible study before, and the questions keep the focus on what the Bible says, not just personal opinions. Great for personal study too! Highly, highly recommend!! If you aren’t familiar with this style of study, start with the one week intro course with lots of helpful tips on how to effectively use these courses! If you are wanting to consistently, deeply get into God’s Word daily, or are wanting to start a Bible study group and don’t know where to start, this is it!!.Version: 1.8.2

Just a small suggestionI wish there was a check box to say you’ve completed the day’s study. Each day I am sent back to the first day of the week- there’s no record that I’m completing each day! Other than that- thank you for providing such a deep Bible study for free! I am loving Revelation right now- the lessons are in depth, thought provoking, and deepening my walk with the Lord! These studies are the most comprehensive that I have found available in the App Store- and free!!!!!! Thanks again!!.Version: 1.8.1

Best place to be is in The WordI loved using this app this summer. I knew the best place for me to be was in God’s Word, drawing near and reading His Word daily- but how to study it consistently was always a summer struggle. This summer, I used WordGo, picked a book of the Bible I’d like to delve into, and set it up for my pace. I loved the daily reminder that the time I had set was soon approaching, and the set opportunity to begin in prayer with the mesmerizing screen that kept distractions away..Version: 1.8.1
