Get family safety services — Roadside Assistance, help in a crash, family locator and Emergency Services — with the OnStar Guardian® app. No matter where you are, we're with you and your family – in any vehicle, on your motorcycle, even through your home’s smart speaker. Eligible OnStar Members receive the OnStar Guardian app as part of their plan. A standalone plan is only $15 a month. Plus, you can share the app with up to 7 friends or family members at no additional cost.

Roadside services provided by Signature Motor Club, Inc., a member of the Allstate family of companies. Roadside services are for passenger vehicles (cars and trucks) and motorcycles only. Limitations and restrictions apply. Towing services can be used four times per year then additional charges apply. Additional charges apply to tire changes when a spare tire is not provided.

Up to seven additional individuals can be added to the “My Family” section within the app.

✓ Great addition to the new carWith my son turning 18 this year, we wanetd to get him a car for his birthday. A big factor for us when getting a car is my sons saftey. One thing that drew us to GMC is the OnStar Guardian app that you get with the car. With incredibly helpful servies such as mobile crash response, roadside assistance, emergency services and location services. The features that come with this app make me feel a lot more confident and comfortable with letting my son go off and drive on his own, as if in the case he gets in a crash or accident he will automatically get the assistance he needs through the app! THe app has offered a great deal of satefy and security for me and my husband with letting our kids go out on drives without us..VentrisJVersion: 2.6.1

✓ Help when I needed itWe were on our way home from an out of town funeral (all dressed up) when we had a flat tire. On Star knew our location, when we couldn’t even determine our unfamiliar exit we had to take. Within a short time, they sent someone to fix our flat & we were on our way home. What a relief !!! ✗ Data Harvesting App / Avoid if you care about privacyMy father purchased this service in advance of a long road trip and granted access to his location to his children so we can track his trip. In order to access the app interface, however, the app requires each “viewer” to grant access to our phone’s microphone, fitness data and location. The GM website for the app then makes clear that this data is being harvested and sold. This is entirely inappropriate and deceptive on GM’s part and I recommend using other services that are not predicated on invading the privacy of customers..Patrick in NYCVersion: 3.0.4

✗ Useless kindaI had to call them and give them an address to locate my car instead of just putting it in the screen like I normally would have .. I do appreciate one of the workers telling me it’s a hardware issue I have that was causing my inconvenience. I know onstar is suppose to come equipped in the cars actual body of a vehicle on ANY 2015 Chevy and not the rear view mirror that’s aftermarket pfffttttt.
