✓ It improved my life!The Solar Scanner app has improved the quality of my life in many ways! I have a skin condition that causes rashes and physical illness when I'm in the sun. This app helps me know when it's safe to go outside as I need to avoid sunlight or UV light as much as possible. This is vital for me since I thought I would have to spend most days home, however, with Solar Scanner I am wiser about my time outdoors and I pick the time that would be least harmful for me and my skin. Solar Scanner is a great convenience and a wonderful app with plenty of useful features! I personally use the forecasts and the ability to share the UV index to my family members and best friends! Thanks to the ability to share, I no longer have to explain myself as to why I cannot go outside when it's sunny and warm. Moreover, I appreciate that especially on days when the UV index is high, Solar Scanner warns me about a higher UV index which has been helpful for my skin condition. I have to be mindful of the sun radiation and go out at times when the UV index is quite low since that is considered safe for me. ✓ Does its job perfectlyTo be honest, downloading Solar Scanner is the best decision I have done this year! Who knew that a simple app can save my life? I am not exaggerating because this app has actually opened my eyes regarding the ultraviolet radiation that I encounter each day. There is a UV index display that states the current radiation outside. This information is what I share to my coworkers who are assigned in the field as a reminder for them to take a break. I transfer the details to them through the app’s export feature itself which I deem very convenient because it made the whole process a lot faster! As for me, there are push notifications sent out by Solar Scanner if either the UV levels or temperatures exceed a certain point. I take that as a signal not to push through with my plans of going out for a swim with my sister. Speaking of temperature, I really find the conversion feature entertaining as well. My partner who was used to Celsius all his life always used to tell me temperatures in that unit of measurement whenever I asked him – and I didn’t understand of course. Now, I can just easily convert the value that he states through Solar Scanner; I don’t even have to ask him anymore! I am so lucky that I got interested because of this app’s logo. I've been testing the app's capabilities for several weeks now and I would say that this app has impressed me. The app provided me with several practical and helpful features such as weather updates, current UV index and UV forecasts. It informs me on the latest updates of the UV index and alerts me once the UV index passes the safe UV radiation level. I never thought that I would use this feature in my everyday life but it has prevented me from overexposure to the sun countless times! I have previously tested out other apps and they haven't impressed me but the Solar Scanner app is the right choice for somebody like me! The ultraviolet index display is what I use whenever I am set to go outside for appointments or for my scheduled sport practices. In moments wherein I cannot put these meetings on hold, I use the data provided in the app to estimate how much I need to prepare to ensure my safety from the damaging rays of the sun. Solar Scanner also gathers the UV index for the entire week which helps me think ahead of time when scheduling important outdoor activities. I use that 7-day information, along with the current temperature and cloudiness levels which are also reported by the app, to decide when to go for a jog. What’s even more interesting is that all of these data can be instantly made known to my friends through the built-in share feature! ✓ YES! PERFECT!Wow! I am happy to have found this app. There are so many things I am able to do, just right at my phone screen! If you would have told me this app could have given me all it does, I wouldn’t have believed you. The fact that it gives me a FORECAST of the UV Index for the week. I’m astonished, I can’t find that with other apps. Not only does it give me the forecast, but also gives me the sunrise and sunset times! The knowledge has kept me from staying out driving out too late to avoid the dark skies. It gives me the temperature so I’m always able to dress for both the temperature and lather myself in sunscreen if the UV Index is too high. I really like the versatility of Solar Scanner. I like the little quirky feature it has to convert temperatures to Celsius to Fahrenheit. I like to test my skills to know if I can figure out what the Fahrenheit temperature is in Celsius. ✓ Easy to useI really don’t like to click around an app and desperately try to find all the features and information it wants me to find. It’s quite a waste of time and confusing. The Solar Scanner’s app is very uncomplicated; the easiest app I’ve ever maneuvered. It gives me the weather and UV Index on all one screen. I don’t have to click between two apps to get the information and that has made my life so much easier; I don’t have the scavenge around the app to find the displays it tells me I can get on the app. I’m never really having to question where things are placed. The Solar Scanner makes it even less difficult by sending me notification whenever the UV levels or the temperature gets to a significant number, making it convenient to get the information without multiple checks of the levels through the app throughout my day. The best convenience I find in the app is that it has a feature where, from the app, I can send my peers the UV Index without having to go through the trouble of screenshotting, finding their message icon, and digging through my photos to send it to them. It’s so user friendly and inclusive of all levels of expertise with technology. It is very easy to use and anyone with varying knowledge on technology can immediately familiarize themselves with the workspace and the features without going through tons of trouble. Most notably, the app provides information about ultraviolet radiation that is quite important for me.
