✓ Leave me aloneThe reason I rating this one star is that I’ve had the app downloaded for approximately four minutes and I’ve already been interrupted three time to rate the stupid app. So here you go: one star. That’s all you get. I’m sure the app is great; I’m sure it’s intuitive, but you only get one star rating when you’re so concerned about getting people to pad you’re rating instead of actually using and exploring the app..Version: 2.0
✓ Waste of MoneyJust get the free Vizio Mobile app. I tried to use this app to adjust my tvs brightness from my phone and it met me adjust the brightness 3 “degrees” before prompting me to buy the premium package. I once again opted not to but realized that it would not let me adjust the brightness back to what it was nor lower unless I bought a subscription. I downloaded the Vizio official app and it let me have full access to the remote for free. Essentially this “free” app is good for changing the volume of your tv only..Version: 2.0
✓ DystopianI bought my TV years ago and the original remote doesn’t feature a menu button (crazy right?). So I downloaded this app to adjust my picture settings and such. I go so far as to change my picture mode and now the app is prompting me to pay a subscription fee to use its buttons. This is something straight out of Idiocracy. I can’t believe I’m about to spend $10 just to use my TV’s basic functionality but here we are. Never buying Vizio again..Version: 2.0
✓ Not freeThis is a nice app but after a few minutes or button presses it stops working and asks you to upgrade to premium whenever you press something. I went a head and paid for it and the app seems to be working good, it has the extra buttons like your playback and info controls. One problem though. If you have a custom keyboard on your device and it's taller than the standard apple keyboard, it will cover up the "done" button so you can't dismiss it. The only way I could get the keyboard to go away is to force quit and re-open the app..Version: 1.8
✓ Shouldn’t have updated now it’s trashThe old app let you use way more not even features but just usual buttons on the remote such as the home button which I don’t understand having to pay $10 to use at all or even the back button or exit button to get out of the menu/settings if you use the real remote to get there complete garbage..Version: 2.0
✓ Waste of moneyThis was honestly a complete waste of money. I paid for the lifetime premium of $9.99 and after about a week and a half the remote doesn’t even connect to my tv any more. Like literally it will connect to every other tv that is near except for my tv and my tv is most definitely connected to the same WiFi. I will definitely be filing for a dispute to get my money back..Version: 1.8
✓ Annoying pop upsHad the app for all of 1 min when it started asking me to rate and upgrade to premium every few button clicks. Click one button, ask to upgrade, say not right now, click a button, please rate. Made it very hard to even use without staring at the phone screen. I recommend VIZIO Mobile app instead. Not as sleek looking but works very well and I haven’t been bombarded with premium ads ever..Version: 2.0

✓ Charged me without me noticingI downloaded this when I was looking for a temporary fix after the battery cover on the back of our remote broke. I didn’t notice that it charged me until I checked my bank account. I emailed them through their app 3 weeks ago explaining the situation and asking to be reimbursed, but I have not received a response or reimbursement. I can’t say if the app works long term because I have avoided using it since emailing them. I planned to delete it if/when I’m reimbursed..Version: 2.0
✓ Would NOT recommendApp is overpriced and doesn’t even work right, Everytime I’d click a button it would go straight to an ad unless I paid which I’m not willing to do for a mobile tv remote that doesn’t work. This app glitches on me 24/7 anyone would be crazy to pay for it. Word of advice if you have a Vizio tv get Vizio SmartCast mobile. ✓ 9.99 gone to waste.Purchased this app because my kids lost my original remote. Connected to the same Wi-Fi as my 70in Vizio that I purchased about 2 years ago and The app won’t cast to the tv. I’m 15mins in to the app and still can’t watch my television….If I could give 0 stars I would. They could’ve given a trial but that would be too much like doing the right thing. And I can’t press any button now at all because it keeps asking me for the premium option. ✓ Will not connect anymoreI paid for this remote and it used to connect all the time. Then, it stopped connecting automatically so I had to manually set it up each time. Now it doesn’t even connect when I do it manually with the IP address. I have a brand new Vizio TV and my boyfriend downloaded a different Vizio remote app that works just fine that was FREE. I have emailed the appropriate parties to fix the issue and or receive my $ back but have not been successful with that either. It is super disheartening to not receive help after seeking it. ✓ InsaneSo recently I accidentally broke my remote and I downloaded this app and It was perfectly fine until I hit the right arrow and it pulled up a page that said premium and i clicked the x and hit the home button and it pulled it up again so I clicked the x button and I realized everytime I hit a button on the app it pulled up the page that said premium so any one who see’s this app don’t download it.Version: 2.0
✓ Needs improvementsThis is just a basic remote. Another thing is you need to add more shortcuts to the apps or let it search for all apps downloaded on that specific tv and have a button to push to take you to the page with all of them. Also, you need to be able to pause what you’re casting to the tv if you can figure that one out. Otherwise, just a lower end to mediocre remote app. Work on this stuff jeez. ✓ Try it before you pay for itI paid for the app. It doesn't work. It won't detect the tv, and if you do manual connection, you have to know information about your tv that you need a remote to access. My husband happened to have the information saved on his phone because he's a nerd, so he manually connected the app to our tv. It worked once and is now asking me to manually connect again. ✓ Please fixSome options not working until newest iOS update. Now the display is completely different, it locks up on CAST input and will not allow me to change away from that, it now automatically is using my phones volume buttons to change the tv volume but the problem with that is if I’m on the phone and need to turn down the TV, I end up turning down the phone volume at the same time. What good is that? Why did they remove the volume buttons off of the front of the remote display? I’m so frustrated with these constant updates that ruin something that was working and noone ever allows these updates to be reverted back to previous versions in case there is a problem. ✓ Nope, don’t waste your money !The first couple weeks it worked great ! So I spent the money, to not have to watch adds. And now it doesn’t work at all, it frequently disconnects from my tv. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app multiple times before it will work again. Than it wants you to manual set up, the only way to look that up is with a remote. Do you think I would use this app if I had a remote. There is now way to contacts Anyone because every time I do it says my message is not put together correctly. ✓ HahhaaThe app is a joke you get about 7 or 10 clicks before it tries to make you buy the premium( btw don’t even bother doing that) I lost my tv remote and been using this for a while now but it’s kinda annoying cause I have to reinstalling it because of its limited clicks, but I rather do that than spend 10 bucks on this. ✓ Tried to get a refund right after installFor Wi-Fi only, my Vizio is Ethernet connected. Went to request a refund right away but was unable to. Vizio does not allow Wi-Fi once Ethernet is connected. You can’t just switch between the 2. Giving 3 stars as I could not use it and due to no refund..Version: 2.0
