✓ A remarkably good answer to a complex problemI use this app every day. It is a "home screener". I find it one of those "perfect" apps that grabs my ideas and snippets, and organises and files them away in a meaningful way for extraction later (ie in the supermarket aisles). I quickly built my individual list of items and prices (my wife is VERY particular), and even pix of the item for the tough stuff. Modifying for Australian terminology and having more Oz items in there would be the only thing I'd change..Version: 0

It comes preloaded with hundreds of grocery items (food and other) and you can add your own items to the list too! The items listed come organized by category (produce, meats, frozen, canned, etc) so when it’s time to go shopping, you’ll save time hunting for what you need! When creating your list, you can add in the prices of items which are on sale in your local flyer. You can also create different lists for different stores! If you’re like me, you’ve made many shopping lists and then left him home during a shopping trip. With this app, the list conveniently goes with you wherever you go! ✓ Was great but now problems with no response from customer supportI’ve use this app for years and have loved it. This week it stopped syncing across my devices, I deleted it on my iPad and when I opened it up again the “login“ failed. I have contacted their support 4 times this week, but they have not even acknowledged my questions. The phone number listed in the app is no longer working. This is hugely disappointing. ✓ Almost perfectGreat app. If I could suggest some improvements they would be; 1. Additional icons for other aisles 2. Ability to edit store location. It would be great if I could pre-add stores and then add their location when in store. 3. Ability to disable auto lock. I have to constantly unlock my phone 4. ✓ Joint shopping list is goodWhile I have little need for some of the new apps which may be more relevant over seas, the shared list is an excellent feature. The amount of times my wife has devised a paper based shopping list system which has then fallen bybthe wayside, is beyond me. The ability for both of us to now access the electronic list where ever we are, is great. You can add things while they are fresh in your memory else, by the time you get home, that item is often forgotten. A great feature..Version: 0

✓ App suggestions for Shopper replacementHope other loyal Shopper app users will post their replacement app. Noticed history and favorites no longer working. Didn’t realize it was not local data. And checked App Store reviews and learn shopper is abandon ware and they shut down the sync server. Paid for gold for several years to get watch app sync which is still working as “good” as always. (Good = 1 out of 10 times it totally fails to show list. I always thought the fails were Bluetooth related. But now I think it is hitting a authentication server somewhere which will stay up until the last user cancels gold.) ✓ BrilliantGreat app. Yes ads are a pain but not as bad as I expected. The fact I can create a list & share it with my wife on her iPhone is simple fantastic. Would be better if it sync items you added and thr category, currently if you create a new item then add it to a category when it's sync to another phone the itne syncs ok but it comes in as uncategorised. In the future i dare say that prices will auto add & update based on the store you choose to shop from - that would be cool. I agree with everyone else though, charge a bit more for the app & allow people the choice whether they want ads for 99 cents or without for say 5.99 or even 9.99 but give us a choice. I would also like the option the create my own categories too. So if I have a shopping list for say Clothes & I add items to the category, then when I start to add items to my clothes lists that it only auto fills items as I type from that category. Fantastic though - keep the features coming & gives us the consumer a choice about ads. Look foward to future updates!.Version: 0

✓ One of the best Apps in n the App StoreAfter using this app for many years, I signed up to become a Gold (paying) subscriber, not for the additional features it offered, but because I love this app and want to support them. Shopper is an app I use every day. When I run out of something, I immediately add it to my list in Shopper. I have a grocery list, a drugstore list, a hardware list, a list for our vacation home, and holiday lists. If my husband calls on his way home and asks if I need anything from the grocery, I simply sync my grocery list to him. He checks items off the list as he gets them. If he isn’t able to get an item, it stays on the list. A few years ago, I was asked to give a presentation to the members of a ladies club, many of whom were older and struggled with technology, on how to get the best usage from their smart phones. As part of the presentation, I recommended three apps, and Shopper was the first one on the list. It is the one app I wouldn’t want to live without. Kudos to everyone at Shopper. ✓ My go-to shopping list appI’ve been using Shopper for several years, probably since I’ve had my first iOS device. It’s simple to set up and use, and flexible in its settings. I especially love how I can share a list and everyone in the family can add to it from their own device. It syncs everything! I’ve had two occasions to email their support team. One time was to figure out a list sharing situation, and the other was because I accidentally deleted a list. Oops! Both times I received friendly and helpful responses. ✓ Awesome app with super pro-active customer support!I have been using shopper for years. I tried a few others but decided to go with this one. It is so easy to customize your lists and create new ones. I was able to take my own pictures to use as thumbprints on my lists. Pet Supplies has a picture of my best friend, Jack, a rescue Eskipoo. I decided I wanted to move some of my frequently used lists up and others down on the list. I emailed technical support through the app and got a reply within two days. Two days later I got a follow up email to see if I needed anything else. I had a another question followed by more questions. The email replies to my questions were within minutes of each other. This is not the typical customer support for an app. The app gets 5 stars and the technical support gets 6 stars. Unfortunately 5 is the highest I can get. ✓ Great app for shopping and recipesI love this app for 3 main reasons. First, it lets me create template lists, which I use these for specific stores and recipes. That way, I can have a default list of products I usually buy at specific a store, and I simply uncheck the ones I don't need that day. Or if I'm making one of my frequent recipes, I just select that template and it adds everything to my shopping list. Second, it intelligently combines everything...so if 3 different recipes call for garlic, it will add up the total number of cloves in my shopping list. And third, it organizes everything by aisle/department, which you can further customize to match the layouts of your stores. ✓ A joy to useA very nicely designed app. I initially just wanted to avoid carrying around shopping lists on little scraps of paper, but the benefits go well beyond that... Since we tend to carry our phones everywhere, you can add items to your lists (I keep a separate list for each shop) as soon as you think of them. As you're shopping, tick off each item as it goes into your trolly, and it is removed from the list (goes into the virtual cart) to show you only what you still need. If you enter the price of each item as you shop, it keeps a tally of how much you're spending -- no more scanning the receipt for errors after a big shop. The only thing I find lacking (and the only reason I haven't given this five stars) is that it doesn't sync shopping lists with other iPhone/iPod users. It would be great if family members could each add items to the same lists. Emailing of list items doesn't really cut it. Maybe a future version?? :).Version: 0

✓ Long time shopper app userMy wife and I have been long time shopper app users. I’m sure we don’t use all the features, but the fact that you can share lists makes it super useful. You can add items on the fly while your partner is shopping, and the items will show up right away as soon as they refresh the app. I recently had an issue with one of the lists, and sent a question about it via email. It took a few days because I’m not a gold member, but the response was a very thorough tutorial. Nice customer support shopper! Shopper is one of my most used apps..Version: 10.7.709

✓ Best app. EVER!!I’ve used Shopper for years. The share feature is priceless. My husband and I both share our grocery list. If one of us notices we need something, we can easily add it...and that addition is noted on both our lists. Recently I’ve added two more lists, freezer and pantry. I now have a running inventory of what we have on hand. Very handy when shopping because I can check that list to see if I have that item. It also saves so much time because I don’t have to search through the freezer or pantry to find an item...it’s listed in the app according to aisles (which is actually shelves). And customer support is fast and very helpful. I have emailed them a couple of times and each time I got a response the next day and my question was addressed in a clear simple way. Auto -organization by category/isle. It just does it for me! And I can refine to match a specific store as well. 3. ✓ Why interim?Hi. I like this app and do make use of it. I can't remember experiencing the crashes mentioned but am at a loss to understand why an update that seemingly doesn't fix anything, nor contains anything new, has been released! Added to that the disguised disclaimer recommending that users who currently have no problems should NOT install this update would seem to suggest that it is possible this version might well BREAK the app if currently running smoothly! Developer team, thank you for working towards improving this product but would it not have been better to wait until a version with bug fixes could be released? As it is, I now have to be careful not to click the "Download All Free Updates" button in iTunes and selectively click each of the app updates I receive which is, frankly, a pain! Addendum: Sadly, in order to leave my slight rant and word of caution to other potential buyers, I HAD to install it! The good thing is - no crashes apparent..Version: 8.6.5

✓ It is great!Shopper is a fabulous program. I love it! You can write your own recipes, choose what foods you are going to cook each week and then creat your own shopping list which it automatically adds up all the ingredients. Then you have the option to add/remove stuff from the shopping list. I already upgraded the program for only 99 cents! And it allows me to synchronize my shopping lists and recipes from my iphone to my iPads which I found amazing! I just wish the program had the option to allow us to add the chosen recipes to another list as "week food program" while adding them to the shopping list. That way we will also have a record of what we already chose to cook during the week. If this extra option is offered, I will definitely upgrade my program again..Version: 10.5.20

For one thing, you can go back in and 'untick' items at a later date to reuse your list - how many times do we simply by mostly the same things? It makes sense. Plus, there is a new setting to keep the phone on for a set no of minutes to prevent unhelpful 'dim down' on the screen when using this app. Now has recipes as well to help when in store for ideas. ✓ Great app a few suggestionsThis is a great app and very fast and easy to use. After a month of use I have a few requests. I mainly use template lists for recipe ingredients so it would be great to have an extra data entry field avaiable when entering a template/recipe to store a "source" for the recipe. It would also be cool to be able to save a photo for the recipe like you can in the items list. Great work though I use shopper to create my weekly recipe list and buy the ingredients I need. ✓ Greatest App I HaveI’m a 72 year old male and have struggled with my weight my whole life. I have been on every diet I know of including 2 Hospital diets. I started slow with this app, just keeping a list of what I ate and worked up from there to how I wanted to use it. There’s a learning curve, but keep working with it using & exploring different ways to use it. And you can use it in many ways. It always works, doesn’t lock up, is updated when a new operating system is updated and customer support is GREAT. I use it on my iPhone because I can take it with me, logging as I go. ✓ Really well designed appGreat app! This really does make it easy to keep track of all the things I need to get. And when I'm in a shop it shows only the things I need to buy there. I've also used it to keep track of the items needed on a self-build-house project. It's like having a quantity surveyor in my pocket! Adding a new item (without duplicating one that's there already) is really easy. I wish the iPhone's Contacts app had a similar feature! The only thing I would ask for would be to make it a little harder to delete items from your list as you shop.
