✓ Excellent DictionaryWordWeb dictionary has to be my favourite all-round useful application. I have had it on my computer for some time, and once I got my iPhone searched it in the app store to discover for a mere ~4 AUD I could have the full audio version on my phone, which on the computer is much more. Works great a will be a very useful tool in my study etc..Version: 0
✓ On the way to becoming the best.The pronunciation part is inconsistent, varying between English and American accents. This would be confusing for second language users. Contextualizing the word in a sentence is very helpful. I have encountered a few instability issues/ sync freezes caused by this program. An update should fix this..Version: 0

For example the word 'Bath' is pronounced in English rather than American. All other words that would very similar in both languages are actually pronouned with the American tougne..Version: 0

✓ Subtle differences missedGenerally I think this is a good app, and I can see it coming in very handy during play rehearsals when there is disagreement about a word's pronunciation. What is slightly disappointing is that while clear dialectical differences between UK and US English are marked (eg LABratory or laBORatri) common accent differences are sometimes ignored - US English tends to be far more rhotic than UK English, and have darker dark Ls, but these are sometimes ignored and you'll often hear a clearly American voice giving what is supposed to be a UK pronunciation (and vice versa), albeit only subtly different. I accept though that for a mobile app (and one that's already pretty large) some compromises had to be made. The accent issue is slightly disappointing - you couldn't use this app to study a different accent, and it maybe hard to convince someone that yes, that really IS the correct UK pronunciation when the spoken example is in a US accent - but overall, for the price, this is a remarkable thing to be able to carry around in your pocket..Version: 0

✓ Astoundingly goodNot just the best iPhone dictionary (and you can switch between British and American spellings), it's also amazingly fast, suggesting words before you've finished typing. Clear examples of just about every word in use, and it pronounces the results - in English. A built-in crossword look-up facility, too. To cap it all, it's free. Worth the 235 Mb download? ✓ Not for Touch?I was so phsyced to use this app but i guess it does not work on my Ipod Touch. But I feel good vibes coming from this app because it looks very well put together. If you have an Iphone i recommend you getting this app, but then again i did get it on sale for free.
