MealBoard - Meal Planner for Positive User Reviews

Simple and effectiveDoes what it says it will do. No ads which is fantastic. Use it everyday..Version: 4.1.10

Great app!Love Love LOVE!!!!!! This app! It is revolutionizing my meal planning! I especially love that I can import my favorite healthy recipes in off my favorite websites. Saves me so much time. Of course I also like that I can add my own or old family recipes. Populates my a grocery list, that's me add the recipes to my weekly meal plan, then it remove the groceries items from the pantry when I make a recipe. Just can't get over how much I seriously Love this app! 1. It would help if we could share recipes on Pinterest to brag to our friends about what a great app this is. It's also free advertising for this app. 2. Additionally, when you go to move items from your shopping list to the pantry you have to click on a trashcan icon. This confused me for a while and I thought that the app did not move shopping list items to the pantry. I stopped using the app for a long time until I discovered the move to pantry option I was searching for was in the trashcan... It would be less confusing if you change the trash can icon or make two separate icons for deletion (trash can) and for groceries being moved to the pantry (maybe a door). Just a suggestion :) Thank you for creating this awesome app!.Version: 3.6.4

This has made being prepared so much easier. Thank you!Easy to use, I only wish the calendar had another view that you could zoom in and just see the current week at a glance (the font can be quite small).Version: 4.1.16

So easy to useLove it! It is so easy to import recipes from lots of different websites. This app has taken the headache out of my weekly meal planning.Version: 3.9.4

Makes weekly meal planning & shopping simpleThis app has slowly evolved over the years & now once setup is a great tool for planning family meals & weekly shopping lists which makes life a lot simpler :-).Version: 3.6.6

Very impressed!!This app is worth every cent. It's only by playing with it that I became aware of all its features e.g. By filtering recipes by ingredient it's now super easy to include items already in the pantry. Yes, it does take time to set up your recipes etc but I've quite enjoyed finally sorting through mine and adding new ones. It has saved me in dollars as I no longer have to throw out unused items as I shop only to what I need. Meal planning is a breeze and the template feature gives me a guideline to a nutritional week of food. Totally recommend..Version: 3.6.5

Great AppGreat App, Easy to use, saving lots of shopping times. Unfortunately, App is based on US market, so few functions I can not use in Australia. Other than that all good and easy to use, customer support is great and quick response. Recommended to everyone..Version: 3.5

Love it!!!This app is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I upgraded to the paid version and at $9.99 one time and no data collection, it was a no-brainer for me. I have tried many different apps to help plan meals but this one is exactly what I was looking for. It lets you go out to the web and search for recipes and then brings them in very quickly. It’s important to categorize them as you’re bringing them in because you’ll probably want to reference them later. I haven’t used all of the features yet but one thing I discovered today while cooking is that the phone screen never goes to sleep and as you complete each step you can touch the screen and that step will be lined out. There is an option to create templates from your weekly meals, but I haven’t tried that feature out yet as I’ve only had the app a couple of weeks. Overall, I seriously love it and can definitely envision using it for a long time. It seems like an app that will get better with use and has transformed weekly meal planning for me from some thing that I always dread doing..Version: 4.1.10

Love this app! It's so cool :) definitely stops me wasting food, and makes me plan. Only suggestion is to make the function where it adds ingredients across recipes better, it can't seem to add if you have 1 cup and 1 tablespoon for instance, maybe have drop down menus for measurements or separate them so it says 3 cups and 3 tablespoons instead of just taking the first unit of measurment (eg. 6 cups in example before). Would also be cool if you could add a part serving ( so if the recipe is saved as 4 servings you could change it to 1 for a day and it would divide ingredients by 4) but otherwise I love it! Really helpful app.Version: 2.3

AwesomeHave been using this since 2010, and it goes from strength to strength. Looking to make meal planning easy, reduce waste and generally make life easier. This is the lifestyle app of choice. Figuring out what to have and what to shop for is no longer a chore..Version: 3.6.5

FabulousI have been using this app for a number of years now and it is, by far, my most used and favourite app. From storing and importing recipes, to meal planning with shopping lists, I use it pretty much every day and think it is fabulous. Well done and thank you..Version: 4.0

Amazing!I love this app, I have added all my favourite recipes, I do my meal plan for the week and create the shopping list on my iPad, then take my phone to so the shop, it is very very convenient 11/10 from me 👍🏻.Version: 4.1.14

Where has this app been all my life?I wanted an app to put all my recipes into, not show me other people's recipes, import from the web easily, allow search of recipes by one or more ingredient and one or more food type, allow meal planning, store and manage food inventory and grocery lists, show my recipes for which I have all ingredients available to cook on demand, backup to cloud for device sharing and without extra cost or subscription, and allow web entry of recipes but not require a client be downloaded and installed on a computer. I've tried several recipe-type apps over the years including Paprika, Pepper Plate, at least 5-7 others I can't remember their names right now. This might sound too flowery or enthusiastic but that's how I feel about this app. It's the only one I've found that does all of my wishes/requirements seamlessly and so well and for so little $! But it also does even more functions I didn't consider a must have like optionally tracking prices, doing something with coupons I haven't used but it's there, creating meal plan templates, and it's so customizable! What you get for this price is extraordinary in the app market and I'm so impressed and thrilled with it. Highly recommend!.Version: 3.9.5

Mealboard - Great AppI've been using Mealboard and find it a real timesaver & very easy to use. Just what I was looking for - so easy to customize it to suit my needs. Thanks grocery shopping is now almost fun!.Version: 0

BrilliantIt all fits together so well. The web based version where can create recipes and add ingredients is so helpful. Quite rudimentary but serves the purpose well. Looking forward to more developments of this app The new version for iPad is brilliant where it allows you to import recipes from other online recipe sites like food network and All Recipes. Would like to see change where first letter for new entries for ingredients/shopping list are capitalised..Version: 2.9.6

Great appLoving all the features in this meal planning app. Highly recommend.Version: 3.9.5

Works great for meAfter looking at several other meal planning apps, I found this one. You do need to load a bunch of recipes when you get started but they have a search feature that gives you access to dozens of recipe sites so you can quickly upload new recipes to the app. I also created my own "recipes" so I can put non recipe type meals on the menu (e.g.: "turkey sandwich" for lunches or "stuffed baked potatoes" for dinners). I email the menu to myself and then print out the menu from my email to post on the fridge. I love the shopping list. I don't have the patience to manage my pantry, but I will just check off all the shopping list items I know I have at home before I go shopping. I also share the menu to my ICal which allows me to see what's for dinner when I'm at work. It would be great if it had a sign in, so that my phone app and my iPad app would be able to sync. Overall, I find this app simple to use and customize and has saved me time and money by reducing over-buying of food..Version: 3.5

Best Meal AppThis is by far the beat meal planner app I have paid for. Worth every cent until now. I have been a user for more than 7 years..Version: 4.0.4

Good meal organizerWorks well though the shopping list organiser needs some tweaking. It often doesn't understand the volume descriptions so the items get stuck on the list. Not a biggy, just a bit of an annoyance. Also would be nice if it could export the shopping list to the relevant shop lists though I understand this may not be an app shortfall, it just would be nice, also syncing between devices doesn't work well. Takes a bit of time and effort to organise the pantry content but once it is done, WOW, does IT make life in the kitchen easy. Note that on the negatives I am really nit picking, but that is because there are no major issues, by and large this is an excellent app, I love it and is now part of my life. Keep up the good work. 👍.Version: 3.6.9

The App I’ve always wantedI’ve been planning my meals on a weekly basis for some time and this app is a massive time saver. Logs your own recipes, compounds all the ingredients together for the week to build your shopping list - which is partitioned by the food isle for you making the food shop even easier. Also, you can save your weeks / monthly meals plans to reuse again and again! For the one off payment of £4 it’s a bargain. All other apps I’ve come across have been subscription based. It also syncs to other devices effortlessly. 100% must purchase if you like to organise your meal times!.Version: 4.0.6

Brilliant App!So useful for food planning, shopping lists and adding your own recipes! Wouldn’t be without it now!.Version: 3.9.5

Exactly what I was looking forI really wanted a planning app that gives me control over the meals I want to make. So many of them just give you their recipes. I love this app. I can add my own recipes, the shopping list management is great and nice little things like being able to flag meals as leftovers etc. It helps me stay organised so that I’m shopping when I need to. Thanks, Ray! (Can you make it pink?).Version: 4.1.11

Sorting out my life! This great little app is helping me get it together with meal-planning and shopping. Love being able to total my shopping list as I go..Version: 2.9.2

Revolutionary!Rarely does an app delivery on its life changing promises but MealBoard does! Simple to import recipes, user friendly interface, sensible easy to use shopping lists. And recipes adjust to how many you want to cook for it’s help me rediscover my love for cooking. We are eating better and with more variety and reaching for deliveroo much less!.Version: 4.1.9

Excellent ToolThis app is an excellent tool for meal planning and grocery shopping. The ability to import recipes from hundreds of websites is a fantastic feature. Highly recommend this spp!.Version: 4.1.5

Almost perfectThe functionality of this app is unrivalled as far as I'm aware. The interface could use some freshening up to make it a tad more visual and user friendly, but really that's my only very small complaint. I've been using this app for years and I always come back to it for its awesome functionality. 😊 Also, I'm Australian, and the barcode function has never been something I've bothered with. Yes the initial set up takes a little bit of time, adding each product, but once it's done it's done..Version: 3.6.9

Great appThe developer is always quick to respond to queries or feedback. The 4 week option is great and the latest update has improved things. This is a really useful app and the ability to sync the shopping list from the ingredients of your recipes is such a fantastic timesaver. The recipes available in the import function have increased. I use it every single day and literally couldn’t be without it..Version: 4.0.3

Best. App. Ever.I have been using this for a few years now and have thousands of recipes on it. I have it organised to match the layout of my supermarket, which means I do my grocery shopping quickly and efficiently. The combining of same ingredients is great, as is removing each item as it goes into my trolley. It is a brilliant app that makes meal choices and pantry management simple. The updates are always useful too. I recommend it to anyone who cooks as much as I do (which is a lot!). My one request? More colour options please!.Version: 3.7.3

Brilliant find and so simple to useI've been looking for something like this for ages, that lets me enter my own meals and recipes and then easily move meals around days of the week to plan. What I really like is that it's so customisable to whatever type of meal plan you want to follow..Version: 3.5

Awesome appHighly recommend. Makes life easy.Version: 3.9.4

Intuitive and usefulI've tried a bunch of apps to "store" my own recipes and plan my meals and this app beats them all by far. I'm not using it for the pantry/shopping list stuff, only for recipes and meal planning. However, it is pretty useful when I'm figuring out what I need to buy since I only have to tap on it to know the ingredients! It just helps with organizing my week, you know. Here's a few other things I really like about the app: 1. I love the calendar view. It's very intuitive, you can just drag and drop every meal and it makes planning and switching up meals so much easier. 2. I love how the ingredients on the left can be striked through if you tap them, helps to know what's left while cooking. 3. The group header in ingredients!!! Very useful to organize things 4. The interface is clear, perfectly proportioned (like, the image of the recipe is small but visible, leaving space to the actual important information, unlike others apps who's image takes up the whole screen.) I just purchased the full version, although not needed at all since the app is totally functional without purchasing. So glad it's a one time fee for everything the app is worth!! Good job devs / designers :)).Version: 4.1.14

Even more than I was looking for!I’ve been using this app for a little over a week, and have been busily entering recipes, doing meal planning, and using the shopping list. Haven't yet approached the pantry inventory, but may with my pantry staples. Love that I can create templates of meal plans for future use, and love that it puts my recipe ingredients on my shopping list. Yes, its work to set up. But once a recipe is entered, I can tap to add it to my calendar, and tap to create a shopping list, and tap at the store to mark the item in my grocery cart (and tap again to add to the pantry if I decide to go that far!). Over time, this app is going to save me time - just with the grocery list alone, not to mention having a plan for meals. Downloading recipes so far has been simple, with minor edits required, and love that all of it is synched between my ipad where I do the entry, and my phone where I do my shopping - not to mention having recipes with me for spur of the moment plans!.Version: 3.6.9

Excellent app for meal planning and shoppingI’ve been using this app for years now and still love it! Import online recipes or take photos of a recipe’s ingredients/instructions - too easy. Meals Ingredients for the week are dropped into a shopping list, very handy. Ray is also quick to follow up with my queries. Highly recommended..Version: 4.0.4

Easy to use, flexibleI’m obsessed with organization tools. They help me best use my time and balance a busy work life. I’ve been using three different apps for recipes, grocery list and meal list. This app works well for all 3. I’ve only had the app for a few hours now but here’s my pro/con list this far. Things I like so far: • you can import recipes from websites • it has categories, ingredients, etc. setup already but you can edit and customize easily • you can create a grocery list from your selected meals and also add other items like milk (my previous app didn’t allow for adding non-recipe ingredients) • customer support responded to my email within minutes and was very helpful Cons: • there isn’t a place for nutrition information.Version: 4.1.8

Import feature worth the $This app was exactly what I was looking for. I love it so much! Whenever I see a recipe on Facebook or ANYWHERE that I want to try, I just copy the link and quickly import it into the app. I love that I can organize the recipes into categories of my choice. I have a special potluck category so anytime I am going to a party, I know exactly what I can make. It is super easy to grocery shop with this app, too. You can organize the grocery aisles to match your store. It doesn’t take a lot of battery life at the store to have the checklist up. When you meal plan, you can import the shopping list to the exact days you need to shop for. I have even recently enjoyed printing the shopping list. If your phone and your printer are both on wi-fi, you can quickly print the list off. This app is everything that I was looking for, and more. It was worth paying for, and that is a rare thing in an app..Version: 3.7.4

Best meal plannerI’ve tried other apps, but keep returning to this one - reliable, user friendly. For example, there’s a helpful tool to help you import non-app-friendly recipes (although, most recipes I import are compatible), and also you can save your meal plan as a template to reuse again in the future, time and energy saving. Thank you..Version: 3.6.6

Amazing AppI have never rated apps since most are ok, but this one is amazing! It’s has made the pain of meal planning and organizing grocery lists so simple and easy. If you properly set up you meals the it’s as simple as set it and forget it. Also having it all recipes in one place ensures you get a good rotation in and not searching for the recipe online or somewhere else. Recommend 1000%!.Version: 4.1.14

Easy to useLoving this app, so easy to import from any site and definitely spending less on takeaway planning in advance.Version: 4.1.9

Just what I wantedAfter trying a few meal planner/shopping list apps this one has all the features I wanted. I wanted to be easily able to import the recipes I have in soft copy, then make these into weekly mealplans and then automatically convert those into weekly and part-week shopping lists which I can then cross things off. An important feature for me is that the shopping list should aggregate ingredients that appear in multiple recipes i.e. if one recipe requires 1 tomato and another requires 2, the shopping list should say 3 tomatoes. And the same for weights. I rejected other apps solely because they didn't have this feature. I use the web application interface to import my recipes (from a file, not a website) which is a bit dated in appearance but works well, and after that I use both my phone and my tablet for the meal plans and shopping list. There are also other features that I don't use. Like another reviewer I am in Australia but I don't have any problems. I don't use the barcode feature they complain of. I just need the metric measurements and the ability to enter and reuse non-American ingredient names, and this app does those no problem..Version: 3.5

So far so goodAm changing from another menu app at the moment and this is much improved. I would love to be able to also link dinner guests to what I have served them but I guess I'll just wait for someone to invent that part of the app. Well done..Version: 3.5

Works for meFind it really helpful being able to plan my meals and see them in my diary..Version: 4.1.5

Perfect!Great little app to organise your meal planning. Takes a bit of time to input all of your recipes but well worth the effort when it’s been done. Highly recommend..Version: 3.6.6

FINALLY!Finally an app where I can meal plan, enter pantry items and make a grocery list. Literally the best! A few suggestions: add recipe difficulty option and a favourites options and a dark theme option :).Version: 4.1.10

Most Functional Recipe App I’ve Found. This app imports just recipes from just about any website and the shopping list syncs seamlessly with the meal planner. You can also set which stores and aisles you want to shop. It has sped up my shopping and saved me 100’s of times what I paid for it. My favourite recipe app of all time..Version: 4.1.14

IndispensableI’ve been using this app for almost 10 years now. I used to run a small catering company from home and can’t imagine how I would’ve organised my shopping lists without it. It saved me many hours of work every week. Nowadays I just use it for personal use. Yet still it saves me hours of meal planning and creating shopping lists. I can also email a shopping list to my husband. It’s very customisable meaning I’ve created my own catogories, meal types, shopping aisles etc. The best thing about this app is that it is constantly being updated with new features. Over the last 10 years, it’s become more and more user friendly. The import recipe function has improved to the point that taking a recipe from online is a 60 second job meaning if I’m scrolling and find something that peaks my interest, it’s saved and being served on the table in no time. Don’t hesitate. It will change your life..Version: 4.1.13

Brilliant App!We absolutely love this app and use it week in, week out. Love that I can sync menus, send shopping lists and pop it on our calendar, so I can see it on my phone. Wouldn't use anything else!.Version: 3.5

Best App ever!Makes my life so much easier! It takes some time to upload all your recipes/ingredients but when that is done, your meal planning and shopping list take literally 5 minutes! Importing new recipes is very very easy. I am a big fan of app that can save me time and this one is by far my #1! Thank you for making this app available!.Version: 4.0.5

Can't sync to partner's deviceLove the app, simple and intuitive but to share it with my partner, it doesn't work well. Customer support hasn't responded. We are looking for a better app.Version: 4.1.9

Keeps on ImprovingI'm a mum of two and works full time. Love this app as it keeps me organized with weekly grocery & menu! So easy to use and the features has been added so many times since I got it 4 years ago!.Version: 3.5

Loving itFor years, we’ve been using a home-built database app that does much of what this app does. Over time, the custom app has become increasingly difficult to maintain (and we’re letting it go), so this has been a perfect solution! I like being able to enter/import (especially import!!) recipes on the computer, select weekly menus (and cook) from the tablet, then shop from my phone. Everything stays in sync. Normally we pick out six recipes for the week and then cook them in whatever order we feel like or have time for. Having to assign meals to a certain day takes away that flexibility, and this was a big negative for me at first. Over time we’ve gotten used to dragging and dropping recipes from one day to another and reorganizing as we go. Pretty amazing and easy! The pantry function is a bit confusing, but it’s more of a bonus than a requirement. After trying several apps, I’m glad I found this one. Very happy with it, and the whole family has access to the evening’s dinner plans and shopping list. Best of all: one-time purchase with no ridiculous subscription plans!.Version: 4.1.8

Very good appThis app does everything I want a meal planner to. It really does make life easier. It's not the best looking app ever but it's still more than adequate. I has crashed once or twice but rarely..Version: 0

Mad respect to the developersGood points about this app: 1. Doesn’t force you to create an account just to use the app. Therefore your data/privacy and also your time is respected. 2. The app doesn’t include adverts to spoil your experience while you get to learn whether the app is for you or not 3. THERE IS NO SUBSCRIPTION MODEL! The app simply asks you to pay a one off fee to get more features like syncing across devices and adding more recipes. In addition, this app is exactly what I was looking for, it’s clean, simple, easy to navigate and learn, and very feature filled without being excessive or having additional fuss. It just lets you plan out your weeks without obstructing your system calendar. A brilliant little app, definitely give it a try and consider compensating the developers for this wonderful tool.Version: 4.1.9

Great meal planning appI’ve been using this app for almost a year now. Learning its capabilities and how to use the app was a little difficult at first but now that I’ve learned what it can do and with the improvements implemented its really a great app. I recently used the shopping list for the first time and it made shopping for my ingredients so much easier because it tells you how much you need of each item so that you can buy the right amount. The absolute best part of the app is the ability to import recipes. At first the import feature didn’t seem to work so well or maybe is was the website from which I was trying to import but I just imported about 10 recipes this week and all imported fairly well. You have the ability to make adjustments or corrections to the imported recipe if needed. It will include a link to the original recipe so that you can easily go there if you want to see the original recipe website. I’m working on my Thanksgiving meal plan and recipes now. It’s definitely worth the price..Version: 3.7.1

Helps us (indirectly) to lose weight. We use MealBoard on one iPhone and two iPads. Having so many options for sharing allows the two of as to coordinate (as a couple) and see the meal plan as it fits into our schedules. I am a big fan of the app, I love the pantry function and the ease of creating a grocery list. Being able to edit the categories and the aisles to the ones that I prefer is a big plus for me. I love how they’ve kept it simple and somewhat "text" oriented rather than "graphics" oriented. I don't need for it to be fancy, I just need for it to work! And it does! I had gone away from the routine of meal planning for quite a while and am returning to having it in my weekly approach. What I have found, by using MealBoard over the years, is that it helps me to more successfully work my WeightWatchers program. It was fun to fire-up MealBoard once again in tandem with my return to WeightWatchers..Version: 3.6.7

Great appIt would be great to have more options, that are available on the app, on the website version..Version: 3.9.3

Great Recipe Storage AppI have been using MealBoard for a few years after trying lots of others. It stores my recipes, allows me to quickly import others from the internet and organises them in a way that I can customise. The shopping list feature is very useful (I don’t have time to keep up with the pantry) but this could be a good feature for some. Nice interface and the weekly meal planner is great for busy families..Version: 3.6.9

Great app, super usefulThe best thing about the app is not having to wade through a wall of text to get to a recipe you use consistently. Bit of a learning curve, but I’m looking forward to exploring the full version, which I just bought this morning. I’ve been using it for years, and it’s proven itself to be handy, and at times a life saver. No subscription rubbish, thank goodness..Version: 4.1.9

Absolutely blown away by this app! This app is an absolute godsend. I haven’t even done any meal planning yet but I’ve been inputting recipes and it’s amazing. So easy to put all my recipes in one place and categorise them. This weekend I discovered that you can take photos of recipes and you can also cross off previous steps in the method so you know exactly where you are. Amazing app!.Version: 4.1.9

I love mealbordIt is the best app for organized cooking and baking.Version: 4.1.16

All it’s missing is integration with Google/Siri/AlexaIt has all the features I have been looking for: meal planning, grocery lists, customizable aisles based on stores, prices, etc. The only thing it is missing is integration with Smart Home devices such as Google Assistant, Siri or Alexa. I’m hoping to see that happen..Version: 4.1.14

Love this app!Works well for me. Easy to input and look up meals. Highlights for me is how the shopping list integrates so well with recipes n ease of modifying the list. Would b perfect finished with a calorie counter when doing recipes..Version: 3.6.6

Best App I Have Ever PurchasedI have been using this app for maybe 10 years now and it is a lifesaver. 🙏🏻 I love that I can paste in a link to have everything sorted out into a list and directions that I can check off along the way. I just noticed scanning is now also an option 👏🏼. My shopping list comes together in seconds after adding meals for the week. I have one meal that is “weekly staples” so I check to be sure if we have eggs, butter, etc…. On day I will use the pantry, but need to have kids out of the house to be sure things stay accurate. I now have nearly 500 recipes and do have a little feature request/idea. I would love and would pay to be able to export my recipes into a little cookbook one day. 📕 Would be so cool to hand down to my kids and use as gifts..Version: 4.1.2

So easyGreat app so easy to use and works very well indeed would fully recommend this app to keep recipes in one place.Version: 3.5

Prefect for organising!!!Only thing that would make it better would be that I can’t copy and past URLs into the recipe search. But I can do this on my laptop which is fine..Version: 3.7.3

Excellent and Versatile Recipe AppMealBoard offers multiple pathways to enter your collection of recipes! (eg importing from web browsers via a search engine, translating pics to text via OCR, manually entering) Within the app is its own search function, calendar connects to recipe files, grocery list function that can connect to your local grocery stores, print options, sharing recipes via email or texting. Visuals are a bonus that can either be imported from the web or accessed from your own library of photos. Navigating within is reasonably straightforward..Version: 4.1.14

Efficient meal planning toolI really like this app, and it has more than met my expectations. I was just looking for something that would allow me to schedule my meals, but I really like the ability to store my recipes and automatically create my shopping list based off the meal plan. I agree with the other reviews that it takes a while to set up, but I've just been adding recipes as I go so it hasn't been bad. The ability to import recipes from just about any site is amazing, and makes the entry process a breeze! Having everything in one place is amazing. I love being able to open up meal plan on my iPad while I'm cooking to get the recipes I need. The app is a bit clunky though and not so intuitive. Make sure you pay attention to the tutorials to pick up on the shortcuts, they are helpful..Version: 3.5

Amazing Saves Money and Great for RoutineOne complaint is that the recipe items don’t add up always for example if you had 1 handful of spinach, you cannot buy spinach in handfuls so if you use the 1 handful it then says that spinach is out of stock when really you still have most of a bag left..Version: 3.7.3

Full featured appVery easy to use, doesn't require paid version to be very useful..Version: 4.1.14

ExcellentLove this app! Exactly what I've been looking for. You can customise everything - Meal names, categories and all. Input your own recipes. Really brilliant. Well worth the money!!!!!.Version: 3.5

Great app with one problemAmazing app that is incredibly useful. However, there's an issue with one of its main features that makes it useful. The feature that tracks when I last used a recipe is broken. Currently I have a recipe that I used last 2 weeks ago and it says that I last used it a month ago. This is an excellent feature that keeps me from making an item too often, but it's not particularly useful if it doesn't work properly. I'd absolutely change this review to a 5 stars if this was fixed..Version: 4.1.16

I love this app, so handy and well designed!Great now that recipes are add-able and editable in the app, and miles better since I now have it on the iPad too..Version: 3.5

Great!Really love this app! I use it everyweek to plan meals and my shopping. Lifesaver with 2 young kids, organising dinner now is a breeze. Gets better the more you use it!.Version: 0

Best App EverI got this app a few years ago and it is one of the few that I use multiple times a week. It is so simple and easy to use..Version: 4.1.16

Helps organise meal planning & shoppingI love this app! I have done menus in advance for a long time, but this takes it to another level. I have scanned in all my favourite recipes, so now it’s easy to look through & see when it was last on the menu and plan a good variety of meals. Synchronising meals to your shopping list means you are less likely to forget something. It takes some time to set everything up, but it’s easy to do it bit by bit as you learn all the useful features of MealBoard..Version: 4.1.10

Best recipe database ever.Best recipe database ever. Makes planning and shopping so easy. Easy to use and fully customisable. Best app possibly best thing I ever bought in my life!.Version: 3.7.2

THIS APP CHANGED MY LIFEI'm someone who loves to cook, hates routine, and has ADHD. This app takes some time to import recipes, but once you do there are a million ways this app makes meal planning, grocery shopping, and coordinating cooking/shopping with a partner or roomate/s. The paid version is 100% worth it, and I have told so many people to download this app, MealBoard should maybe sponsor me lol..Version: 4.1.14

Great meal planning toolGood functionality with ability to copy meals and move around from day to day for planning..Version: 4.1.9

Best app I've usedAbsolutely love this app! It has so many great features and functions, and is well worth the price. I use it every week for meal planning and shopping, and it makes it all so easy. I also love having the ability to import recipes from websites. Thank you to the developers for creating such a wonderful app!.Version: 3.6

Great organiser for meal PlanningLove this app as it enables me to buy only what I need in my weekly shop. I was so fed up of buying what I thought I needed. This ending up with a lot of waste and meals that used up what I had not what I wanted. Very often shopping was what the supermarket was selling to me 2 for 1 etc. Now i have a 3 week template , rolling menu that can be changed at any time to accomodate new recipes of changing my mind. Being able to accourately buy a weeks shopping , do an inventery of whats in my cupboard Save meal plans I would not be without this app at all Thank you Mair Hefina.Version: 3.9.4

An Excellent AppI love all the features, easy to import recipes from the web, pantry control, meal plan schedule. Is even easy to add your own recipes which later you can add to your mean plans. Would love to see the ability to add shopping lists to OneNote, the Note App or other notes apps. It has it’s little bugs but they do not interfere with the functionality of the app. Really love it. But my favorite feature on the app is how simple it is to import recipes. Even if the website is too complicated, you can still, with a little more work, import the ingredients, servings, steps, name and more with ease. This because a Meal Planner without recipes would not be a Meal Planner at all. And having to enter recipes by hand, after 10 recipes in a row, would be boring nightmare. So yes, I love the app, help me keep track of my meals, and once you set up your pantry, it helps you even keep track of your shopping needs. No more “I bought these by mistake twice” errors. Very powerful. I do recommend to buy the full version. The free version has a very short limit for recipes imports. But let me tell you, is totally worth it..Version: 4.1.2

Needs to open APIs and also provide integration to Alexa for shopping list etc.Great app. But too standalone for this day and age. Needs better integrations..Version: 4.1.9

Everything I want in a meal appThis app is perfect if you like pinning recipes and cookbooks but want it all in one place that you will actually refer back to. No frills, great if you like reading and researching your own recipes. Also like how you can look at it in list form as well as in a grid form with pictures. I found the grid form with loud pictures competing for my attention in other apps to much. Suggestions for the developer: would love to see a way to back up recipes and a way to add categories to ingredients (e.g. I would like to add ‘Nuts and Seeds’ among other things). Thank you for this very functional app..Version: 4.1.16

Helpful app for meal prep and makeThis app has been helpful in getting recipes and importing them..Version: 4.1.16

The best grocery and meal planning appI have been using MealBoard for years and years. It works really great, simple to use yet very powerful. And it keeps getting better !.Version: 4.0

Worth every pennyI tried this as I wanted a customisable meal plan to add to my agenda. This turned out to be an absolute winner. I can easily import favourite recipes from my cookbooks (or the internet), add them to my weekly meal plan and check the ingredients I need. It can also do so much more. After a few minutes trying, I bought it. I use it every day..Version: 4.1.9

AwesomeSo so good and even better now you can add recipes by taking a pic of the method and ingredients. The shopping feature is amazing and makes it so easy. Had it for 10 years now and it just gets better..Version: 4.0.4

Excellent Meal Planning AppWell worth the money to unlock the extra features. Importing recipes from links is simple and intuitive, and results in a consistent recipe format. Adding meals to the calendar as well as generating shopping lists is very straightforward. Sharing settings across multiple devices is seamless. I went thru a number of apps before I got to this one and even the free version of MealBoard has better default options than other, more expensive apps. Highly recommended..Version: 4.1.12

Excellent, but.........I love this app, an interactive shopping list us fab - no more scribbled bits of paper. The only problem is if you leave it to check a recipe, text etc it forgets that you have highlighted items in your pantry and you can miss putting things in your shopping list.Version: 4.0.3

Really helpful and intuitive, easy to useBe sure to log-in to the website once you've synced. This is where you can modify and import recipes from Epicurious and other on-line recipe sites. Easier recipe entry there than via iphone. It's very easy to make out a weeks menu plan and aggregate all the shopping. I love that you see a list of what you need from the store and also a list of what you have at home. This helps when i'm cooking at a friends and need to pull from home stores. I really liked the sample of recipes they've already loaded on the app also. And the ability to email menus and email shopping lists is very handy. Well worth the cost for me. This app is saving me lots of time and we're eating much better, it's fabulous..Version: 3.7.3

Great App for Meal PlanningWas looking for a all in one app for meal planning and shopping list and this does it all and more. Well worth the purchase..Version: 3.7.3

Finally!!!I hate meal prepping with a passion and this has completely transformed mealprepping for me, I can now never use anything else!.Version: 4.1.5

Has changed the way I shop and cook! This app is without a doubt saving me money. The ease of being able to know what is in my pantry, fridge, and freezer from my iPhone is amazing. Even better, being able to check recipes against that inventory for shopping purposes. BRILLIANT! I thought that was it? Nope. Found out you can sync one account over multiple devices, and it’s not connected to your Apple ID! It uses its own unique account login. Mum, Dad, Kids, Housemates, Partners, everyone can have the same update to date information. Also a handy shopping list. If you found something on sale, you can assign items to particular stores with a note or direction as to why. This app has it all! Totally worth the small price tag. One feature I’d love to see incorporated would be the ability to add photos into the directions section of recipes. Sometimes a reference photo is helpful when looking for a particular consistency or colour. Also, can we get a pink colour scheme? Am I right? Keep up the great work!!.Version: 3.6.9

BrilliantBrilliant app just what I needed to plan my complicated diet recipes. Saves me hours of previous tedious work planning listing and writing..Version: 3.6.4

Great way to organise my recipesI've been using MealBoard for a few years now and it just keeps on improving with every update. Great for importing recipes from the internet. This app makes meal planning so easy..Version: 4.1.9

Great time and money saver--LOVE this app!Another update: still using the app years later, and it just keeps getting better. I can’t think of any “wish list” items that haven’t been implemented. The import from websites has improved a lot, and even when I don’t expect it to work well I’m pleasantly surprised. A keeper! Update: the developers listened to the "upload/download" concern and fixed it and of course there's an iPad version too. I do wish we could sync meal plans and shopping lists between devices, not just recipes. The ability to import recipes is awesome--I am constantly trying new things from Food Network and now many other websites. Love the new features! This is EXACTLY what I needed and we use it virtually every day! Original: We are "those people" who were eating out 5-6 days a week, but since I've started using Meal Board we are enjoying meals at home, spending less, eating more healthfully and saving lots of time! I love the online counterpart and only wish it were more robust, and that the upload/ download were a little more mistake-proof. I too look forward to an iPad version so my DH and I can share ideas in one place. All in all, I am very satisfied. This app is one of my "go-to"s!.Version: 4.1.9

Love it!!Really love this app! I’ve had it for years. I use it for all of my recipes. I even got my mum and friends to download it and we can share recipes 😊 Would love it even more if the categories sorted themselves into alphabetical order when added, but that’s a really minor thing!.Version: 4.1.14

Excellent AppI love this app, it takes time to get the recipes imported and if there was desktop compatibility it would be perfect. Once it’s set up though it is brilliant and I use it everyday, for shopping lists and cooking instructions..Version: 3.6.6

One of my daily appsI’ve had this app for over a year... maybe over two years??? Can’t remember exactly when I downloaded it but love it. I have imported over 800+ recipes (no, I haven’t tried them all yet, there are an embarrassingly high number of dessert ones in there) Pros: *** I can put one recipe in numerous categories, making my narrowing down process quicker. *** I’m a more frugal and efficient shopper with the grocery list. *** Having the website link on the recipe makes it so easy when someone asks for the recipe (although you can email it too). I usually have to screenshot it because I typically alter the original. These are just a few of the pros, I could be setting here, typing all day, if I tried to list them all. Cons: Not many of these, but the only reason I didn’t give the app a perfect 5 stars and it wouldn’t let me give it 4.5. *** Originally, you could have the item price on each one of your grocery list items. I forget which update did away with that, but as a single mom, I greatly miss it. I tried moving on to other apps but it was just too much trouble, so I came back. *** It doesn’t communicate with Alexa (or Siri)... if this could be addressed, that would be sublime. All in all, a great app, one that’s on the first screen of my phone..Version: 3.7.3

Worth paying for the full versionI really like how this app combines 3 things into one place: 1) the calendar to plan your meals 2) Your grocery shopping list 3) Your pantry (which in the past I used to have two separate apps to keep track) The game changer in my opinion is how you can move items from your shopping list to the pantry, huge time saver. I would have rated this app 5 stars but there were two things I was not able to get to work. One of them was Sharing the full version of this app with my family through the family purchases and the Apple store. I followed the instructions but could not get it to work on the 2nd device so I ended up paying for the full version on the 2nd device (but totally worth the money) now we can sync up. The second item is scanning the recipes from Books doesn’t really work on my end. When I scan the list of ingredients they get mushed up together and I just end up entering the recipe manually. importing the recipes from the web works really well, really awesome feature. one suggestion to the developers, if possible. If the ingredients on the pantry could show up on the recipes just to get a quick overview of what’s on hand..Version: 4.1.10

Almost perfectI purchased this app to take the tedium out of preparing the weekly shopping list and it's achieved that. Now I prepare the weekly menu, export the ingredients to the shopping list, top it up with items that are running low, email it to myself, print it and head off the the supermarket. I'm not interested in keeping a perfect record of everything in my pantry so I find that aspect of the app a bit over the top. However, it is very useful for keeping track of leftovers and other frozen foods in the freezer. If you just want to track recipes RecipeBook does a far better job. Recipes can be downloaded from any site (not just those approved as in this app) and they are far easier to edit. I only bought this app because they don't offer a weekly menu function (yet). It's pretty easy to create the weekly menu although I think this could be made a little easier. Some other apps (and I've tried a few) do it better. My husband does shift work so I don't cook for two every night. I'd like the menu to show the number of servings for each item. Currently I have to open every item to check and adjust which is a little tedious. The app easily produces a shopping list but the drawback is that the quantities are all related to what you normally purchase or what's in the recipe and it's not easy to adjust. Sure you only need 1 cup of milk in a recipe but at the end of the week you might need four bottles. I'd like to see a box with a + sign next to the item (the same as is used for the pantry stocks figure). This would make it very easy to adjust quantities..Version: 2.9.5

An app packed with thoughts and skillsI was an iOS developer myself and I tried to create an app with functions similar to this one for my own use. I have to say this app is very well thought and meets my needs. Now I use it every day to meal plan for the little one’s lunch boxes. There’s a bug though. The category table cells get messed up when I edit/move them then scroll the screen..Version: 4.0.6

Really like this appHas everything I need to make many planning easy. It is very easy to add recipes even if it’s not from a supported website and I like how the recipes look..Version: 3.6.8

Just what I wantedEasy to use and syncs to other devices. Had some good features and although you can edit recipes would like to add more as some instructions got cut off..Version: 3.7.3

Flawless! SeriouslyThis app does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have never found an app that works perfectly, until this one. It imports recipes that are hidden in extraneous stuff and that are disjointed and intentionally segmented. And it does it just like you want. I’m amazed at how it finds and isolates ingredients and quantities. Looking for a recipe for the ingredients you have on hand? This suggests them. Need a shopping list for next weeks menus? This has it ready! Need to pass it along to another shopper? You can do it! Seriously, this app is flawless. It has a depth of development that constantly surprises me. There are many features I haven’t explored yet, but I am extremely happy with this app. I know you will be too!.Version: 4.0.5

Remarkably feature-rich recipe and meal plannerI cannot sing the praises of MealBoard to manage recipes, menus, and grocery lists enough. It’s refreshing to buy an app outright and not have to pay a monthly fee or tolerate ads. Ray has made an incredibly robust and user-friendly app that allows me to easily import and write recipes; maintain a grocery and pantry inventory; create menus; and generate shopping lists from the menu plus current inventory levels. The interface looks clean and is simple to use. Additionally, I recently had an issue I created by installing the app on my iPad (formerly only on my iPhone) and failing to sign in before I entered a LOT of recipes and new inventory items. As such I wasn’t able to maintain this work and also assign it to my actual account once I realized what I had done. Ray had this resolved for me in a day and I didn’t lose any work. In addition to the work he’s already done to build this fantastic app, his commitment to maintaining and improving it for his customers is what we should hope to experience from all sellers/companies but in most instances that just isn’t the case. I highly and whole-heartedly recommend this app. Happy cooking!.Version: 3.9.5

Amazing! The best thing about this app is the ability to smoothly, seamlessly import recipes. I have been frustrated by Pepper Plate which had limited success at importing recipes. Mealboard seems to be able to correctly pull in any recipe accurately from pretty much anywhere. If I find a recipe on the web that I want to save, I simply copy the link. When I open Mealboard and tap on “import Recipe” it automatically grabs the link from my clipboard and pulls in that recipe like magic. The only exception I have found is NYT recipes. I suspect the NYT blocks it on their end because they want you to use their app. The organization and search are very good. I can customize categories and edit recipes as needed. The only improvement I would hope for is a minor one - the ability to re-order the ingredients list on an imported recipe. I orginally downloaded it to do meal planning to help shake up our same old routine and make sure i was using up some ingredients that were otherwise going to waste. It is great for that but I love it for the import feature. Overall, I would highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a way to keep track of recipes and plan meals..Version: 3.9.4

Liking it so farThis app is doing most of what I wanted: meal plan, with recipes of my own plus ones from the web I find, and creates a shopping list. Still getting used to some parts, like the grocery/stock list but I'm sure with use and time I'll be able to work around these things..Version: 3.5

HandyThis app is changing my life. Not only am I just shopping just for what I need but it's a healthier lifestyle as I am cooking everything from scratch. I am enjoying it immensely. I'm still getting used to it but a couple of things could make it more awesome including how measurements are loaded. Every sort of measurement for an ingredient needs to be added every time you enter your own recipe. Pickdown lists would be better. I would also love it if the app would automatically take out ingredients from your pantry once you have used a recipe. Just a thought! Awesome work!.Version: 2.9.3

Brilliant meal planning and recipe appI paid a lot more for a well known app and wish I’d given this one more time, as it does everything the other app does plus far more. Very customisable you can get as much or as little out of it as you wish right down to managing your kitchen inventory. I would like to see the option to start the week on a Monday but it’s a small gripe on an otherwise stellar app!.Version: 3.7.4

Love itEspecially the capture of recipes and tagging/categories!.Version: 4.1.5

My Favorite AppThis app does it all!! I was searching for an app I could use to plan my meals, and came across MealBoard. It has surpassed my expectations. I read through each review since I was skeptical to spend money on something blindly. All of the reviewers left such positive reviews I was confident I would like it. Well, needless to say I LOVE IT!!! Here are all of the reasons you too should buy this app. 1) Easily plan your daily: meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. 2) Recipe Box to store all of your favorite recipes. You can easily look up any recipe online via the app, or link directly to your favorite recipe apps!! This is a HUGE plus! You can also type up your favorite family recipes and add them to the app. 3) Track the items in your pantry. This will save you guessing what you have at home when you forget to add an item to your grocery list. 4) Grocery shopping list. Easily add ingredients from your recipe to a list via the app. 5) Sync your devices so no matter which one you have you will see the same thing. All of that being said, spend the few dollars and invest a little time to set the app up with all of your favorite recipes and pantry items and the app will practically do the work for you!! You will not regret it. ENJOY!.Version: 3.5

Great appThis app is great. Completely customisable so fits in with my diet plan. I can add easily all my favourite recipes, even those not available online and add my own pictures too. Great for the once only price unlike others which are on going. Love the ability to create your shopping lists, making life a little easier to organise..Version: 4.0.3

Best InvestmentWhat a fantastic app! I have been using it for about 1 1/2 years now and I don’t know how I lived without it! So worth the nominal app fee. Over the first 6-8 months, I slowly added recipes as I made them but I made it last winter’s project to get them all added...1900+ in total. This app saves time - no lost time trying to decide what is for dinner tonight and quick assembly of your shopping list. I love being able to access from anywhere: my phone on the go, my iPad in the house, my laptop for recipe entry. My family can even check what is for dinner and add meals they have been craving. There are very few issues, if any, but on the rare occasion an external website changes and recipes can no longer be imported properly, support is quick to respond to the report and resolve. The only thing I would like to see in the app is the ability to save a favorite meal (main and side combo). There is a template to save a weeks worth of meals but I’d like to be able to drill down a bit further..Version: 3.7.3

My most valued app of all!MealBoard is a life changer. I can’t praise it enough. It’s made a laborious job so much easier for me. I can import recipes from the literally millions available free online. I store them and this fantastic app makes all the rest so easy. Menu planning is now well organised and there are many great features. Now I can send shopping lists to my husband by simply by clicking on “Share Shopping List”. Who ever designed this app deserves a gold medal! Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏.Version: 4.1.16

Indispensable app!I’ve been using MealBoard for several years now, and I can’t say enough about how useful it is for meal planning, grocery shopping, pantry maintenance and cooking. It is so complete in how it addresses all four of these areas and links them; and there are so many useful features and customisation options. I love the fact that the app will suggest recipes based on expiry dates you enter, which helps cut down on food waste. A big plus for me is that the developer is always making updates and improvements and adding new features. Like a previous reviewer, when I am researching new apps I always check the last time an update was made, to see whether the app is “cared for”. I can personally vouch for MealBoard improvements, because a couple of my own suggestions have been added over the years! Being completely objective, I would say that the app is starting to look a little tired and could use a bit of a refresh. But given how indispensable this app is to me, I don’t want that to sound like a complaint. It is well deserving of five stars. I wish that Apple would promote this app and give it the wider audience it deserves..Version: 4.0.4

Well doneGreat support. App works as advertised. Makes meal planning and grocery lists a snap. Like the new format..Version: 4.0.2

Best ever meal planner and shopping list managerThis program is a ripper! It is comprehensive yet easy to use. I have used many shopping list and meal managers; this one is the best by a country mile. Take the time to set it up for yourself and you will not be sorry. It will save you time and money..Version: 3.5

GreatGreat app, good mix of simplicity and functionality. Thanks!.Version: 2.6

Best App I’ve had!Love this app! Reasonably user friendly, but the more I fiddled with it, the more I realised it could do! Fantastic to be able to edit recipe ingredients from imperial to metric (once I do the calculation) and that it syncs with my calendar and that if you email the shopping list to your mobile device it allows you to tick items off while shopping!.Version: 3.7.3

Saves Time, Money & StressThis is my 5th week using the app. On Saturday or Sunday I sit down and plan dinner meals for the next week, sync my shopping list, then place my order through my grocers online app to be picked up after work on Monday. This app saves me time and money for not having to stroll through the store and the stress of coming home and trying to figure out a dinner plan. This app makes cooking much more enjoyable for life after school and work. My favorite feature is the ability to import and edit recipes....and sync the ingredients into a shopping list! MIND BLOWN!!! I found a site that I like pulling recipes from and imported many. We have tried multiple new recipes since, that I don’t think I would have without this app. After about 3 weeks of using this app, my 6 year old got upset and in a whiny voice said, “mom, am I ever going to be able to eat chicken nuggets again!?” All I could do was laugh and respond, “ok son, I’ll quit cooking so you can eat more chicken nuggets.” We did have chicken nuggets that weekend, along with a homemade mac and cheese recipe I found and planned through this app. It was a hit! Thank you developers of MealBoard!.Version: 4.0.3

An excellent and elegant app to keep food organisedUseful as a shopping list app, a recipe management app, and so much more. I'd highly recommend this app to stay organised with shopping and cooking!.Version: 3.0.2

Very useful appIt basically does everything it says on the tin. UPDATE: Still loving this app but I do wish you could add pantry items directly to menu plans without creating recipes. Hopefully there’ll be an update fairly soon to include this feature?.Version: 3.7.3

All the detail you could ever think ofWhat an incredible app! Everything I could have wished for and more. The sync works well and I can share with my partner. Meal planner/finder, shopping list, inventory of in stock items, categorisation to your hearts content. Early days but it feels like this will be a well used app. Spend as little or as much time sorting through all the options - be obsessive and controlled or relaxed and organised or anywhere in between..Version: 3.8.7

Changing My LifeSounds dramatic but I genuinely love using this app to plan our meals and it's so helpful to keep on top of what we've got. I don't think I've thrown away any wasted food since I've started using this and it's so easy to import/modify recipes or create my own!! Best fiver I've spent in a long time!!.Version: 3.9.3

I don’t normally do ratings!I’ve been so impressed with the many features of this app that I thought I would actually take the time to write a review. It’s brilliant and can cater for my very complicated meal planning -would totally recommend.Version: 3.9.4

Imports any recipeThis app has lots of cool features that I keep meaning to try but I find it invaluable for the things I use it for all the time. It has become the only place I store all of my recipes. I love being able to scale recipes. Favorites that I wouldn’t bother to make just for me are much easier when the app scales the ingredients for me. My all-time favorite feature though it recipe import. When I find a recipe in a blog post that I want to try I just copy the url and open MealBoard. When I click on Import Recipe it pastes the url and loads the site. I add categories and occasionally categorize an ingredient and it is done. It is so simple I import recipes I haven’t tried yet because it is easier than using the original site while fighting my way through a bunch of ads, and I can scale it to meet my needs. This app meets my needs very well..Version: 3.7.3

Simple, useful and no gimmicksNo subscription, clean interface for planning and the other extras are useful and don’t bloat the whole point of the app. You can also share this with your partner or family if you use the same MealBoard login, very helpful for planning in a shared household. I like the web option for importing recipes - but I’d like to see the database management stuff get a web portal in future, if possible. Only downside is the app doesn’t use all the swipe gestures for navigation making it feel a little dated. It’s also quite a powerful database management app, so the pantry management can be overwhelming. So just take it gradually. Otherwise I reckon this is a very solid and focused meal planner with some useful extras..Version: 3.9.4

Best recipe and shopping app everI have loved using this app ever since my cousin told me about it a few years ago. Our family of four each have it on our phones, linked, so no matter who is shopping, alone or multiple people at once, we can sync as we shop and get everything on our list correctly. The recipe import function was great and has gotten better with some recent updates such as the option to import ingredients as a text list. The “description “ field is a little hit or miss in terms of what is brought over from web pages. The one thing I always add manually to the description is a note of how many servings are in the original recipe, so that I can refer to that if there’s some part of the directions that makes reference to a specific quantity, especially when ingredients are meant to be divided (such as “add 1/3 cup of the flour”). I also routinely edit directions to add alternative instructions for Instant Pot and for Thermomix, two favorite appliances in our kitchen which take a little experience to know how to convert instructions. MealBoard makes it so easy for the whole family to shop and cook as a team! My only wish is that it be developed for other platforms so all my friends and cousins can use it..Version: 4.0.6

Super appHave used this app for sometime and I still think it’s the best app of its type. Ray also provides great support if needed.Version: 3.6.4

I just love it!I have been fiddling around with countless free apps because I was turned off by the idea to spend any money on a recipe app since there are so many free apps out there. But not getting what I was actually looking for and getting more and more frustrated, I started to think... maybe it’s a good idea to invest some money and get a real good one. I read countless reviews and checked the associated screenshots and descriptions of several paid apps. I filtered out the ones that were “cared for” by the developer by checking its last updates and their websites and I chose MealBoard in the end. And.... so far I am extremely satisfied and overwhelmed by the stuff that this little app offers! Buy it! It’s worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY 😊👍🏻.Version: 3.7.3

FantasticI love this App. It took a couple of days to set up, but worth it in the end. Makes shopping much easier. I don't forget things now. 😄.Version: 3.5

Love this app!!!I’ve been using MealBoard daily for several years. This is my favorite app on my phone. While it comes with recipes, I entered all my own recipes and it was worth the time spent. I add recipes I want to make for the week, sync with my grocery list, and use the grocery list while shopping, checking off items I put in my cart. Sometimes, I stop at a grocery store without a shopping list prepared and add meals while there onto the meal calendar and sync with my grocery list and I’m all organized. No more forgetting what is in a recipe or forgetting to buy certain items. I can also email the shopping list to another family member to shop for me. If I want to text a shopping list, I just copy it from the email into a text. Each day, I can look at the calendar and see what I had planned to make, and then view the recipe for ingredients and directions. No need to pull out the cook book. This is also handy when I’m cooking on vacation or at someone else’s home. I can also easily edit the recipe to add important tips I discover as I’m preparing it. If I want to share recipes with friends, I can email them right from the app. If I want to print a recipe so my child can make it without looking at my phone, I can do that right from the app as well. I absolutely love this app!.Version: 3.7.3

Fantastic app!Flexible, inclusive and simple to use.Version: 4.1.14

This is the best app ever!I have used this app for years and would be totally lost without it..Version: 4.1.9

My heart has been longing for this kind of appThis is hands down my new favorite app ever. It allows you to sooooooo quickly input online recipes and the recognition of directions, ingredients and categorizing ingredients is amazing. Then being able to add meals (and leftovers) to the calendar and save them as templates for future use?! GENIUS. AND, being able to download a grocery list from your date range and see what’s in your pantry already?! This. Is. Outstanding. My life is about to be made easy. I’ve already shared it with so many people the day I got it because I’ve been looking for something like this for a while. And I’ve tried MANY meal planning apps, but most of them have a bad grocery list creator or pantry inventory thing. This is just too good to be true!!.Version: 4.1.2

Great AppGreat App!!! I’m able to use this app with my husband and share our meals and grocery list. Love that I can sync and it updates on his device as well..Version: 4.1.9

Life-saver of an app!We have only been using MealBoard for a couple of weeks and it has already significantly improved what we eat and how we shop. Just brilliant! Big thank you to the guys behind MealBoard..Version: 3.7.3

Love it!This is a fabulous app! It's so easy to use and has already made our lives so much more organised! It has already saved us $$ in reducing food wastage and its only week 2! I also love it for the fact that when I travel for work I can remind hubby to eat the leftovers LOL! Like anything it's a bit to set up but worth it. A few pointers for newbies - it works like 1.set up recipes and modify them using your words (e.g. Scallions are Spring Onions or Shallots in AU). Take note of the units of measurement they use in recipes; 2. do a food audit and use the chosen units of measurement (I've used cups for all dry ingredients and teaspoons for spices and tablespoons for sauces; baking soda and stock powder etc. as this is what was commonly recognised in recipes) 3.organise the week and generate a shopping list. The reason to do it in this order is that it's data and if you use different measurements to do your audit then the recipe does then your shopping list won't be accurate so choosing units of measurement and sticking to it makes sure you have as close as possible list of actual ingredients..Version: 3.5

Great features, nice designThis app is amazing! I am in love, and my husband is sick of hearing about it. Easy to input recipes, and adding the recipes to the meal planner is simple. The design is simple, clean and pleasing to the eye - much nicer than a lot of other apps out there. I love how the meal planner can automatically generate your grocery list. The only thing I'd like to see added in future would be the ability to calculate nutritional content based on ingredients - or even just space for us to input that ourselves. Apart from that, this app is near-perfection - definitely worth the $5 investment!!.Version: 3.2.1

OrganizedVery helpful at keeping the whole process of meal planning, shopping and recipes organized! I use it every day!.Version: 4.1.14

AmazingJust what we’ve needed this whole time..Version: 4.1.5

Love!I dont use all the features, but I would be lost without this app! Importing a recipe from the web takes seconds and includes a link back to original source so you can refer back to special notes or reviews that might have been posted with original recipe. I have actually created a “sewing projects” category and saved links back to projects I want to find again! (In this case the auto import does not work since there is technically no “recipe” but by using the tool option I save a picture and the title , and sometimes the materials needed) As others have mentioned, the ability to create a shopping list in minutes from nearly anywhere is also a life saver, and if you keep up on your “pantry inventory” (I Don’t) you wouldn’t even end up with duplicate jars of that spice you almost never use, but cant recall if you actually have it anymore lol.Version: 3.7.3

Makes planning easyI really love this app! It takes a little work on the front end but once you get it set up it helps a lot. You have to input recipes, so you can use it as your recipe book as well, though I just put in the name and ingredients. This takes the most time. But thereafter it’s just checking the list. Plop what you want to make that week and then create a grocery list! I find it has greatly reduced the amount of unused food going bad in my fridge. I do not use the supplies list or coupons. Those features to me require too much work to maintain. Especially when if I want to see if I already have green beans all I have to do is open the freezer. But you don’t need to use those at all and it’s fine..Version: 3.6.9

Seems to cover it all!Hello! Ive had the app for about a month and so far I love it! It seems to be very thorough and well written. I trusted many of the outstanding reviews on my decision to purchase this app. I do like to hear that there is no monthly fee and the developer stays well connected for suggestions, feedback, follow-up. Sounds like Ray knows customer service, which is often hard to find these days! I have many recipes, but enjoy being able to import MANY others. I still need to learn how/why to write “templates”, but I figure that will come with time as I proceed to explore the app. Thanks to all the great reviews (good and maybe not so good) bc again, I feel this is REAL, LIVE input from REAL people! I’m hoping Ray isn’t going anywhere and hope if we lose him somehow, we will still be able to continue using the app as we purchased, with all the fantastic features! Cheers to Ray!!.Version: 4.1.2

Easy and clear to useI like this app, it’s easy to use and I can see my meal plan for the whole week..Version: 4.1.9

So many great featuresI love this app so much! I’ve had it for a number of years and it just keeps getting better. The recipe import is great, it supports importing from a ton of sites (or you can manually tag if you happen to find one that isn’t supported). You can email nicely formatted recipes to friends (or choose from a number of other ways to share). I plan each week of meals and then it generates a shopping list sorted by grocery aisle so I can be a super efficient shopper. And I just found the feature to scale a recipe up or down in number of portions - no more on-the-fly math for me. Oh, and it has cloud syncing and web access if you want it. Definitely recommend!.Version: 4.0.4

WonderfulDoes everything I need it to do, I really enjoy the function that reminds me to prep the meal, defrost etc the day before..Version: 2.6

Love this!I love this app! I have it on my phone, my iPad, and my husband’s phone. He loves that he can add things to the grocery list and it will sync automatically, and that he always knows what’s for dinner. I love that it keeps all my recipes and I can read them on the iPad while cooking. I also love that it’s easy to remember all the options you have for dinners when making the meal plan for the week. I even include things like “frozen pizza” and “not here for dinner” as recipes, so that we can really see every option for busy nights. I’ve emailed with the app’s developer, and he’s really open to adding in new features and making it better. He told me he’s currently working on giving the website all the features the app has, which I think will be great too! Overall, this app saves me a couple hours each week, and streamlines everything so I never forget anything at the store. Awesome!!.Version: 3.6.9

So far, no complaintsI recently switched from Menu Planner to MealBoard because the developer never seemed to get the barcode scanner to work. I'm getting used to the functionality of this app and it's comparable, if not better. Importing recipes is definitely easier and has more compatible sites. I use Pinterest a lot, so I just copy the URL from the recipe's site and copy it here and auto import fast and easy. Even using the "tool" function to import recipes is efficient (although obviously not better). I look forward to setting up the pantry and freezer in the app to start tracking inventory! ***update*** I would like the developers to consider including an option to mark a pantry item (i.e. corndogs) as a recipe/side dish that can be added to the menu **and reduce inventory** instead of having to create a new recipe to update the pantry or manually updating the pantry for that item....I haven't been able to "quick add" a pantry item to the menu planner..Version: 3.5

MealboardSo far so good ,takes awhile to get to know how to navigate it..Version: 4.0.4

Great AppTook some time to get use to using this app, LOL still learning it. I do love having the ability to import recipes easily and keeping track of my pantry/household goods. Seems to be coming more useful every day!.Version: 4.1.9

Useful App!This menu planner and shopping list creator is great. Makes meal planning and shopping a breeze and cost effective. One recommendation would be to collaborate with supermarkets so the shopping lists can be created for the shop you go to, that would save the zig zagging trying to find products. All in all though an excellent app!.Version: 2.8.2

Love this appI love this app, it really helps me prepare for the weekend. My only really big dislike is the way it does the shopping list. I would rather be able to send the items I need to a separate lists as when you go to print out the shopping list, it shows all of the items and the ones you are need are ticked in a second list below. Although I could just print the second page, other items are still in the list. The import recipe function on this is absolutely amazing. So easy to import recipes. I just hope the shopping list feature can be improved..Version: 4.1.14

Absolutely Amazing!!This is my favourite app, its perfect for planning out meals or meal prep. Also its completely free! I like to put my own meals into the app.Version: 4.1.14

Updated review: Still a staple in my kitchenThanks to the developer for keeping this app updated, and thanks for all the hard work poured into the app. Mealboard is a regular fixture in my kitchen, used for everything from pantry management to recipe scaling to shopping list creation to, yes, meal planning. Thanks, again! Updated July 26, 2020 -so many fantastic updates and I am still using this app after all these years. That tells me it was a fantastic decision, and one that I hope to keep using for years to come. I rail, rant, and otherwise absolutely fight against subscription models. However, Mealboard is one app that, if done right, I will purchase a subscription for. It is that vital to my kitchen. Updated July 30, 2021 - yep. You guessed it: still going strong. Thanks again to the developer!.Version: 4.0.6

BrilliantMealboard’s two greatest strengths are its ability to import and save recipes from practically anywhere, and its total flexibility. It doesn’t shout at you or thrust things at you - it’s modest, simple and very very well designed. Thank you so much!.Version: 4.1.12

Some really useful featuresOne of the few apps that having paid for, find it lives up to it’s promises. Shopping List is great when used with the meal planner. The Pantry is easy to use but in practice, not so easy to keep maintained e.g. every time I have a bottle of beer I really can’t be bothered to reduce my stock level, however, when using recipes this feature is much more useful..Version: 4.1.9

Excellent!I think I’ve rated this app before but I love it so much I’m happy to again proclaim how amazing it is! Literal life changer. I’m not kidding. This made meal planning and grocery shopping so efficient I got my weekends back. I was grandfathered into the free app but paid the app $ voluntarily to show support. We have used this for years. I’ll find recipes while sitting on the couch watching a movie and just import stuff and then pop stuff that sounds good into a weekly menu, sync the grocery list and order a Walmart delivery or pickup. It feels like I hardly have to expend any energy on the chore of feeding my household. The kids are gone now but we had an iPad in the kitchen and one of the kids or my husband would check what’s for dinner that night then get started on prepping and cooking and we were all able to share in the task so nobody had to manage it all. It sounds corny but I’m so grateful to these developers for giving me my life back. It was so exhausting to think of ideas and make the list and do the shopping and put the groceries away and etc etc. Between this app and grocery delivery I’m a free woman!.Version: 4.1.10

The Best! This is the app I wouldn't be without. The effort to become familiar with all it's pages is well worth it - a truly useful tool. Very intuitive and easy. I import a few more favourite recipes a week to build it up without it being a chore - so easy to do. Love the shopping being sorted into departments - so much faster to whizz around the store. And great to have your fav recipes to hand for those less organised "what's-for-dinner" visits in the supermarket. Truly 6 star!.Version: 3.7.4

No more food waste! The cost of this app is easily made back by how much money I’ve saved not having to throw food away! Not only does it let you figure out exactly how much you need for your weekly recipes before going shopping- you can also add & sort by expiration dates to the pantry. I feel like this feature is so critical, at the start of the week I can sort by expiration date and choose recipes to make sure I use everything before it goes bad. As a single student on a tight budget this is a must have! I would love to see some improvement to the scheduling portion of the app. 1. Bulk add from pantry to a meal Ex- If I’m going to have a variety of veggies with a dip for lunch, this really doesn’t justify making a recipe but it gets tedious to add each item individually. 2. Add a take out meal to the calendar. I’d like to be able to have a write-in option for a meal rather than being required to put in a recipe or pantry item. Ex- I know I’m getting take-out or going to an event with dinner I’d love to be able to write that in on the calendar to visually see my meals for the week. Would also love to see integration with grocery store apps in the future to help clip coupons!.Version: 4.1.2

Love this app but few improvements neededGreat app with potential to be perfect. Cons: When you add grocery items from recipe to shopping list, you can’t select which grocery store to add it to. Also there’s nowhere to store repeat items that you could easily add to your list. I also like being able to see more of my list at once, so a smaller font/spacing option would be nicer. However, in the grand scheme of things it’s a great app with a lot of pros: smooth interface, iPad compatible for planning, recipe imports are quick and efficient, you can choose a photo from the internet for your recipes really easily (which makes your whole app look nicer) and the meal planning ability is seamless and you can save templates (one of my favorite features). The only feature I never use is pantry - it’s too difficult to track every item in your pantry at all times..Version: 4.1.8

AwesomeWhat a great app compared to all the other ones that want a million dollars from you!.Version: 4.1.9

Brilliant App!This app is just what I needed. I plan all my meals for the week and shop and cook in advance at the weekend. This app helps with every aspect of this. Adding new recipes is really easy and creating a shopping list in aisle order has stopped me going round in circles. I emailed Ray a question about how to use the Pantry function and he replied the same day. I may have only just scratched the surface of what this app can do but so far it's excellent..Version: 3.5

AwesomeI have found this app really good. It suits all my meal planning requirements as well as making my supermarket shopping easy and fun. It has also really helped me budget my weekly groceries. The support team are so helpful. Emails with questions are responded to very promptly. Highly recommend this app for all foodies..Version: 2.7.4

Just what I've been looking forDoes what it says on the tin, and more. Stable, easy to use, fantastic shopping and meal planning tool. Highly recommended. Easy to order the list into the order that the shops aisles are are in, yet still retain another shops aisle order..Version: 2.9

A truly life changing appWe’ve used this app non-stop for the last 5 or so years, using it to load our go-to family recipes, plan meals and grocery list. It saves time and food waste - I could not recommend it more..Version: 4.0.4

The best recipe and shopping list appWe tried a heap of apps before finding this one. This does exactly what we want. Super easy to import recipes from online or write your own in. Scales the ingredients depending on number of servings. Plans our week of food and then adds the correct amounts based on number of servings to the shopping list and combines the items e.g. if multiple recipes need tomatoes it adds up how many. Sync is fast and easy between my hubby and me. Can’t recommend it enough. Also easy to email recipes to guests who enjoyed the meal..Version: 3.9.1

MealboardI've tried a number of these apps and this is by far the best. Love the fact that recipes, planner and groceries all in one..Version: 2.5

Clearly to make plan for mealsI can clearly to plan what to eat for my family in advance. No need to worry about what should eat..Version: 4.1.14

Awesome recipe/meal planning appWe're putting all our recipes into this and planning weekly meals. Love it! Also had great support..Version: 2.9.5

Great app!Long time meal planner here, I’ve used a few different products and so far I really like this one. There’s a couple things it’s not great with yet (the barcode scanning is limited and I don’t see a way to bulk import recipes from another meal planning app yet) but it’s very fluid and has the best interface I’ve found so far. Some of the others are pretty but a little clunky, especially when it comes to the pantry features, but this has got so many clever little features I love, for example at first I was mad I couldn’t add a note to my meal plan but then I realized it wants me to add actual pantry ingredients which is way more useful. And meal prepping notes can be set up as reminders in recipes..Version: 4.1.11

Great app, but doesn’t function quite properlyThe app is great, but the meal selector doesn’t work properly, which is a bit annoying. You have to click ‘Done’ then re edit to get the meal selector to work..Version: 3.9

Your meals your wayFinally — an recipe management and meal planning app that does not require that you sign up for yet another account. Get app; plan meals. Back up and share across devices using the device credentials, not another superfluous login. These developers got it right!.Version: 3.9.3

Quick and easy to useQuick and easy to use.Version: 4.1.9

This deserves attentionWhat a simple and friendly user interface and how easy it is to import recipe! And to be able to import without limit with the current version. The calendar format is so clear. I love it! What a help!.Version: 4.1.14

Must have app if you like to be organized.I’ve been using this app for at least 5 years now. So many useful features like being able to import recipes from many food sites. The best thing for us is planning the entire week of meals. It compiles all of the ingredients onto a shopping list so you don’t have to. If you’re dieting or trying to eat healthy, half of the battle is food prep and organization. The shopping list categorized the items into the grocery store sections so you’re not zigzagging around when shopping. It has so many other features I don’t use like store preference or item pricing for budgeting. I would highly recommend this app. In fact, you’re wasting your time time if you don’t at least keep your normal grocery list on it. You always have your phone, so you always have your list. You should keep all your recipes here. Then when you’re at the store and have an epiphany to make something that night you hadn’t planned, there’s all the ingredients on your phone. Get it if you want to make your cooking life simpler..Version: 4.0.3

Every organized person's dreamThis app has been very useful in helping me stay on budget and reducing food wastage. It's also great how you can email your shopping list to yourself or others and the list is in a checklist format!.Version: 4.0.3

Love this appI’ve been using MealBoard for a few years now & absolutely love it, it’s so simple to use. I have over 300 meals saved & finding a meal to feed the family is so easy.Version: 3.8.7

Robust!I just downloaded this app and have started adding my favorite recipes. First impressions, the app has all the features I am looking for in a meal planner. Calendar, shopping list, recipe box, in addition to pantry tracker and even the ability to customize the stores you shop at and which stores you buy certain ingredients. Importing recipes is easy but does require going in for some quick edits most times. The only thing that I see as being a potential annoyance is that when the same ingredient is entered a little differently now different recipes, it adds both versions to the master list. If they're organized by the same category, it shouldn't be terribly annoying, but if you don't like redundancy, it will probably bug the crap out of you. You can definitely spend hours fine tuning this app to fit your needs which makes it a powerful tool..Version: 4.0.4

Great app for meal planningEasy to use and import recipes from the web. You can easily extract the ingredients from any recipe into a shopping list. Such a great tool for meal prep..Version: 4.1.16

Great support!I’ve been using the MealBoard for years, very happily. Then one day, I deleted the app by mistake. When reinstalled I couldn’t remember how to log in. Lost all my data - recipes and menu templates, compiled over the years. Such a loss! But then I wrote an email to the support team and got immediate help in seemingly helpless situation, as I couldn’t remember anything about the log in, so long ago it has been. Thank you so much guys! Will continue using your app for the long years to come..Version: 4.1.2

GAME CHANGER!!I’m so glad I’ve found this app, I’ve raved about it to all my friends because it’s truly changed my meal prep & cooking game. It’s features are truly remarkable for a free app, I couldn’t recommend it enough. Just get it! 🤩.Version: 4.1.10

AwesomeBrilliant app for helping keep on my healthy eating plan. Would be lost without it.Version: 4.1.9

This app has changed my life!I am a mum of two kids - one 2, and one newborn. I have had so much trouble finding time to sit down and organize the weekly meals, and so ended up having to drag two kids to the shops almost everyday during this Covid crisis just to keep them fed. This app allows me to quickly, easily get a week of food organized, and in seconds create a shopping list so I can either do one big shop, or order a whole week of groceries online! We are wasting less food, spending less on take away, and eating healthier! I have tried many different apps and paper solutions in the past, but none have been as helpful and quick as this. I honestly can’t rate it high enough!.Version: 3.9

Great for storing my recipes!I have a lot of recipes that I reference often. Some are just from the Internet, some from Allrecipes, some from my cookbooks. I really wanted to keep all of my favorite recipes together in one place and this app works excellent for that. Using the Allrecipes website is a joke, and I don’t like the app because of the annoying ads that just start making noise out of nowhere. I tried a few different apps for saving the recipes and my favorite was Anylist, but I did not like the idea of paying over and over again subscription style. This app has similar function to Anylist, but with this app, you pay once and done. You can import recipes from your favorite places, or add your recipes manually. Great app!.Version: 3.8.5

Love this meal plannerBest meal planner I have ever used..Version: 4.1.8

Cool Meal OrganizingI’m only just starting to use this app but it’s cool so far You can pull up recipes from anywhere and use the import function to keep them in your database. That, alone, has been very handy for me. I’m hoping to utilize this for meal planning as well but if it was only a database of meals I liked to make that is useful enough on its own.Version: 4.1.16

Best applicationUse this app every day, gives me my shopping list for all the recipes that I have added. A Must have so I know what ing is needed when shopping. Can sync with iPod and iPad. Love this app, can easily add extras to my shopping list..Version: 3.9

Best meal app everLove this app, makes me meal plan every week easily..Version: 4.1.5

Love It!I absolutely love this app. It is so very customizable and I’ve been importing / entering recipes for two days straight now. About 20 years ago I tried a meal planning software called MasterCook. It was great for its time, but it was so unwieldy that I soon gave up. Because of that poor experience I have avoided this type of app until now. I use it on my iPad, which means I have a beautifully laid out recipe card to follow. I love that it generates a customizable shopping list that I can send directly to my printer. I’m sure that if I were more organized I would find the pantry portion something I couldn’t live without.... but I’m not there yet. Plus, I’m 67 and if I want something from the store I simply send my husband. For some reason he enjoys getting out of the house! The other thing I just love is that for recipes that I key in myself the app lets me browse and find whatever picture I want to use. And I found some really, really nice pictures. Makes me look like a star! And, last but not least, to be able to back everything up to the cloud so I don’t lose everything the next time I drop my iPad in the pool..... perfect. So, thank you. I almost never ever pay fir an app... but this one is worth every penny..Version: 3.6.9

Brilliant appThis app is amazing. I can plan meals in advance, store all my recipes, pull out the ingredients I need to make my shopping list and search for a recipe by tag eg fish/rice/veggie etc. I tried a couple of other similar apps but this one is by far the best. Adding recipes is really easy with the text recognition software. Love that I can keep all recipes in one place and convert to a shopping list, which syncs to my phone. Even a feature to let me know what I have already in the cupboard, so hopefully I’ll never buy another duplicate cumin again!.Version: 4.1.5

Great app.I’ve used something similar but that vendor I think stop support even though it’s still in the App Store. This one is great. Has a shopping list that you can pull stuff you need from recipes. The importing recipes from websites is amazing. Even if you have to do it “manually” they make it really easy for you to do it especially importing ingredients. This is one of the apps I use daily. And the only weird thing I would say about this app is that it doesn’t default you to the current day when you open it. You have to choose a start date. And then you view the days that way. And then after the time view you choose is over, you have to go back in and choose another start date. It’s not a big deal. Not enough for me not to use this wonderful app.Version: 3.6.9

Great intuitive app.Love it. Takes a bit to learn to use all the features but each part is Intuitive . Comprehensive..Version: 4.1.9

Awesome AppThis app is the answer to one of my organising challenges. I love how customisable it is and how easy it is to customise for any country. Love how it has a pantry inventory so that you only buy what you need! Love how easy the shopping list function is. Thanks for creating such a great app and making it so user friendly. Not to mention the customer service is second to none. Have already recommended this to several people. Many thanks.Version: 4.0.2

Fantastic App!And I don't do reviews! This is a first—but this app is really amazing. I selected it following research a couple of years ago for my wife thinking it would be "kinda nice." My wife is super organized, loves her recipes, really cares about her meal planning and has a demanding full time career as a an Psychiatric APRN. I do most of the actual grocery shopping. Wow—she really got serious about using Mealboard and it has amazed me how useful it is. Really exceeded my expectations. She has learned more and more and has a great data base now. We sync with my our iPhones and iPads. I can not imagine going shopping without using this app now. All our married kids now use it. It was really great for them to be able to log in on "moms" account - do a sync- and immediately get all of her data as a beginning base and then they all continued to modify their own apps on their own after that. Now they all swap and share recipes. When I help out with cooking (not one of my strong points) I'd be lost without Mealboard. So we always cook and shop with our iphone or iPad as the main control center. It takes a little learning curve but the effort you put in returns much more benefits. She can plan out cabin trip menus and gathering menus and just everyday menus and shopping lists really fast. I'm very impressed. It's been a blessing for us. I highly recommend it!! Well worth it!! Keep up the great job..Version: 3.6.6

😀This app is amazing! Never has meal planning been so easy. It holds all your recipes and is really user friendly..Version: 4.1.9

Changed our livesThis app has really helped us reign in our dining out. Having a meal plan with ready to go recipes has been a game changer in our household. This app makes it’s easy. My husband and I each have the app on our phones so we can see everything. Everything is coordinated and making supper goes much smoother..Version: 4.1.9

Fantastic app for a busy familyWith the paid version, we can coordinate shopping lists for routine cooking and special events (food tech at school etc) which makes life so much easier. I can (sometimes 😛😂) get the children to engage in meal planning, plus adding favourite recipes from existing books or websites really simplifies our lives..Version: 4.1.9

Meal planning done rightThis has been the app I have been searching for. All my favourite recipes on hand with the ability to cross reference pantry items and plan shopping all in the one place, brilliant, well worth the money.Version: 3.8.7

Best App EverI have been using this app for more than 10 years and it is still my most used app. I would struggle without it!.Version: 4.1.16

Game changerThis app has been a game changer. The ability to import or create recipes, assign them to a day and then generate a shopping list is amazing! This app is a must have!.Version: 4.1.9

AwesomeLove this app.Version: 4.1.9

Great appReally love this app. It is perfect for me. I can put all my recipes in and also keep track of what’s in the pantry. It make organizing the shopping so much easier.Version: 3.7.3

Really FabulousI never knew I needed this app until I bought it. This is just what you need if you like to have a meal plan for the month! Or if you use a few recipes from each cook book and ignore the rest. Templates work really well, and are perfect for the person who plans ahead. Such a better way of doing things. Personally, I have monthly menus that change through the year as things come into season. But you always want to change things about and this app is perfect. I like being able to add my own recipes so easily and include a picture. Love being able to import recipes from Jamie Oliver etc. Categories can be personalised. In fact, everything can be personalised. Never be in the supermarket again trying to think what is in a recipe - all your cookbooks on your phone. Very well thought out and perfect for me and my young family. Good job. Dave.Version: 3.7.3

Great app almost perfectI do like the app but it is at times difficult to get the desired results when importing and inputting recipes. It needs to use the pantry as defaults on imports and inputting recipes. I would like the menu to be able to be placed instead of the bottom an option for either left or right and also to be able to hide it when wanted. The text editor could use some glossing up and beefing up and to utilize cooking measurements and the fractional items to not be a 1 then a / then 2 for one half. Give us fractions it takes too much actual typing to again get the desired results. Make it easier to format the recipes with buttons for recipe links, headers ect… For recipes that have videos how about the option to play them from the app? As a final upgrade how about being able to click on a time and set a timer?.Version: 4.1.10

Okay.. not sure it’s fully worth it.It does what it says, but takes a lot of work to actually setup and maintain. The following issues prevent this from being really useful: 1. Barcode scanner does not work well. —- the database is limited to only a couple of stores (doesn’t work with any Costco brands, and not great with Superstore/Loblaws). So have to enter a lot by hand. —- Products get added with the manufacturer’s specific name versus the generic name, which means you have to relabel everything. Apps like MyFitnessPal have a much better barcode scanner. 2. Very limited recipe list included and no obvious way to bulk transfer a bunch of recipes from another site. The app really needs to come with something like the “top 300 cheap and basic” meals with basic things like omelette, sandwiches, pasta, meat-potato-veggie meal so that it’s up and running. Then people can add special meals. This app has huge potential with its “meals based on current stock” function, but requires the user to invest a LOT of time to get it usable. The main point of the app is to quickly keep track of stock, develop meal plans based on saved recipes, and make a grocery list for what your missing. The lacking recipe database makes it impossible to actually use right away and poor scanner means you still have to input everything by hand which is really time consuming to maintain..Version: 3.9.5

ExcellentI have found this app to be brilliant for storing recipes and planning meals. Easy to use and love how quickly I can import recipes from any website. I’m using local (Australian) websites and haven’t experienced any issues, however, I don’t use the function that prices my Shopping List - this isn’t something I would use..Version: 3.6.5

Great AppGreat app- lets you plan your meals, upload recipes easily and keep you organised..Version: 4.1.9
