✓ Very good and one of the best bible appsIt is truly a lovely bible program, it's very concise and the sound effects make it so much more interesting to read and listen to. I used it on my Windows laptop when I first signed up then on iPad and now downloaded on iPhone so I can can listen to it everywhere I go. There's only one criticism, and I read it from another reviewer when I first started using this program, it is the fact that there's no auto scrolling! ✓ I would recommendI love the Bible app.. I particularly like that you have dramatised Professionally-Narrated Audio of the NIV (New International Version).. There’s also one for the KJV (King James Version/ Authorised Version), but I find that quite hard to follow in some places.. Anyway, with a quick registration with an email and a password, one is also able to save bookmarks, notes and also highlighted bible verses to the app. I think it’s a great app that fulfils a gap in the market (by having the audio professionally narrated and also dramatised)... ✓ Reading Along is a Great Way to Study!I use this application to help me do my daily Bible study! Praise God for the ministry of Faith Comes by Hearing. The world is noisy to the point it can easily cloud your mind when reading. Reading along with the app helps block out the noise and helps me focus. Alternatively you could read out loud; however, I appreciate hearing the pronunciation of words and names I’m not familiar with which helps me study and know God even better! Below is a good place to start for unbelievers as well as believers! The bad news is you’re going to die for your sin, but that’s what makes the good news so good! Jesus can save you from it! ✓ I want the old version backThis bible apps was one of my go to app for the past two years until this new update. Now it’s not as quiet and meditative as it was before. This is the Word of God I don’t need to hear some echo of God to interrupt my quiet and simple narrative nor do I need background music. I just want to read the Bible audibly and meditate on it as I would do reading it. Since I’m on the road a lot I relied on this app so much and I’ve not been able to stomach the noise now you’ve included in it. If I want entertainment I know where to go. Please include the classic option to silence everything else but the reader. It was so creative how you had different narrators for each book. It was almost like hearing those prophets unique voices. Please you’ve cause me a lot of confusion lately I need to return to that quiet place. Thanks for the good work so far but please include the very quiet or as I’m calling it the classic option. ✓ My fave Bible app!Thank you so much! This is my absolute favorite Bible app to use (and I have many)! I listen to this EVERY single night when I go to bed after praying. I put my air pods in and listen until I fall asleep. I listen/read when I have spare time and just want more of God’s word. I love the entire narration and music in the background, the different characters and the whole scene! It paints the whole picture for me, making the Bible come alive! ✓ Please Help Me!!!How do I change the book I’m reading? I was reading 2Kings and I can’t change the book to Obediah. It goes straight to Chronicles. I have pressed the book (Chronicles) but it does nothing. I’ve even swiped to the left but it is taking me through all of 1Chronicals. I used to be able to tap on the book and it would take me to where I had an option of Old Testament New Testament and then list the books but now I get nothing. The videos are an excellent addition to this app and the various voices used for different characters is a great idea to keep you listening. The Jesus film wasn’t the best Jesus production I’ve seen, but hey, it’s free so who’s complaining?(The Chosen is my favorite by the way, another free app that I definitely recommend!) it also has a film with direct scripture being read while actors act it out. At first, I had trouble finding passages or even the language I was looking for, if it was labeled in the script of that language. I reached out to the developers and they adjusted it so you can search for a script using the Romanized alphabet. Now I can go to Kurdish Behdini for instance, and by understanding the order of the books in the New Testament, I can choose a chapter and play the audio file. Once I have played the file in my friend’s language, then we can go to the English and try to discuss it a little bit. If their language has online translation accessible, I can use that to aid the discussion..Version: 3.6.9

✓ This app is well made!This app is so good, I’ve been looking for a Audio Bible App that doesn’t have Robots reading to you and that sound like its really going on; a Dramatized Audio Bible. This app is just too good, I highly recommend it but there’s 2 bugs that I came across, one is when the app is in the background and your phone is in sleep mode it would play backwards instead of going chronologically. Another is that if you have WiFi on and it happens only with WiFi on - after a chapter is played it’ll pause and you’ll have to manually press next and play again. Of course if anyone is dealing with this you’ll need to listen to this app without WiFi for now until this bug is fixed. Those are 2 bugs, once these are fixed this app would be 10/10, right now its 9.9/10..Version: 3.3.8

✓ Best Bible app out there!!I had been looking for an audio bible app that's not in a monotone voice and came across this bible app that has dramatized audio bible ranging from NIV to KJV version. When I tell you guys I have never ever been so excited to be in my word than this. I read multiple chapters and can understand much better especially with the different character voices that do such a great job of portraying the emotions of the characters. Instead of listening to music I just put this app on my radio with my aux cord. But that's not it it even has Christian movies you can watch on that app and I was able to find my native language Swahili as well as my tribal language. ✓ Still best app for variety of audio and translationsLost star because a recent update has reduced the value of the app. It has introduced a complexity which is not needed, e.g you cannot scroll down in one go the whole Bible, as you used to. The app has been divided in two, the old and the new testaments. Also, visually, the writing is more condensed making it harder for extended reading, and if you use the app a lot, that is really disappointing. I know this may sound like someone who doesn’t like change, on the contrary I do, but only when change improves what already exits..Version: 3.1.0
✓ Really good with a few glitchesI really enjoy this audio Bible app, but there are a few problems. First, with some chapters, the text is cut off. The audio continues, but the scrolling stops. This doesn’t happen all the time, but enough to where it is annoying. I don’t have specific chapters at hand, but I just got through 2 Samuel and it happened there a couple of times. Second, I don’t know what this app is doing “under the covers”, but there seems to be great delay at times, especially at boot up. ✓ Greatest thing since the Bible!Love the Drama options and the way it separates the voices and makes it easy to follow along and understand. Many years ago I was hit by a car, with severe head injuries and in a coma for 9 days. Throughout all my school years, I had very bad learning problems, and couldn't comprehend what I read. But when read to, I could tell you everything about it and answer my test and book reports correctly. This app does that very same thing. I'm able to take it all in and understand it. And the Drama version helps me visualize what's being said and makes it even more enjoyable. Within 24 hrs I was guided into a position where I could play the Holy Word of God, pause it, close the app and come back to it right where I left off. ✓ Helps bring the Bible to lifeI really like this dramatization of the Bible. I wish there were multiple versions to choose from, but I understand each is a full on performance and therefore costly. I’m fine with the version here, appreciate that it’s free for me. I also like that I can listen at a higher speed than 1x. 1x sounds drawling to me. I set it higher and read along, as this helps get the Word into my brain. However, the pace slows back down again sometimes when new chapters start. (Even though it will still show as set at the speed I chose.) So I bounce back and forth between 1.5x and 1.6x, because when it slows down I have to go in and change the speed again to get it to pick up the pace again. This is an easy work around, since I am actively reading while listening. But would be a pain if I just wanted to listen without having the app opened up in front of me. ✓ Amazing but needs improvementThis app is perfect but it has some bugs that need fixing, I downloaded everything so I could use it offline and I can’t open the app while being offline for starters. I wanted to use it in this way because when I am connected to wifi it glitches out and either skips chapters or randomly takes me all the way back to others and sometimes just repeats the same passage over and over. Ive had to download and reinstall it and then redownload everything again because it got so bad with the glitching. I download the old version of this app, so I can hear it over and over without using my mobile data. However, when I replace my phone to the new one, I download the app again, this time I got the latest version, and like before, I spent an hour to downloaded the New International Version, so I can hear it without using internet. But then when I try to opened it again, it didn’t show that I have any bible or book downloaded, so I have to keep using internet to hear it. But just occasionally there’s an insert by a narrator whose voice is flat and robotic, as if he doesn’t have any experience of how wonderful God is and is t very interested in God, just reading words that are boring to him. ✓ Like it MOSTly.For the most part, I really like the app. I only use the KJV and it’s a great way to listen to it audibly. (I’ve prolly listened to the entire KJV Bible with this and have only noticed two reading errors and they weren’t doctrinal, so all in all, it’s great with all of the sound effects.) Most of the characters voices are used for other characters throughout the Old and New Testament. Some of them are REALLY annoyingly bad, (Like the voice of Jacob in Genesis and some of the ones in Proverbs.) but I’m just being picky at that point. One other bad thing. Every now and then when I try to listen to the app, it doesn’t load, it says “oops, there’s an error and cannot play at the moment.” Or something along those lines, and it just won’t play for a while. I sometimes close the app out and reopen it and it’ll work. After all is said and done, I’m MOSTly pleased with it. It’s helped my devotions and given me a different perspective on how things are said with different voices. ✓ Keeps My AttentionDifferent voices to identify speakers and the emotion you can hear with this audio dramatized version of Scripture, makes me pay attention to whom is saying what and reintroduces the emotions of the speaker that simple reading and familiarity with the text can dull or cause you to miss. Sometimes it will keep playing, but often it will quit halfway through the chapter I started and won’t restart, but go back to beginning of that chapter and play same verses over. I have to spend a minimum of ten minutes to load anything up if at all, it can be upsetting when you feel on fire for scripture but can’t pull up the verses you wanna talk about. Also, the text does not always sync with the audio, so if you're just listening and hear a verse that’s great and want to see the verse and just read, you have to read/scan until you find it. These suggestions will make excellent updates. The app has recently been very glitchy. I am doing the 1 year Bible plan, and if not every day, it’s every other day that when the plan launches, it starts at the last verse of the chapter. Now I often need to press a button several times when choosing a book from their new list format and the list format isn’t nearly as easy to use as the previous simple drop-down menu above the current passage. Copying text now strangely includes a copyright notice and a separate link (which makes no sense if you simply want to paste text into the notes on your phone during a sermon, etc.). As another reviewer mentioned, downloads now also take much longer. While the new app has new features like controlling playback speed, that choice of playback speed is not retained between tracks. I do appreciate the new option to turn off background music and the additional accompanying videos, but those features should have been introduced without sacrificing functionality that worked like a charm. We are sinful and have been separated from Him. What is preventing you from confessing your sins and receiving Christ? ✓ Superb range of audio bibles!This app has an excellent range of audio bible’s in particular the NIV dramatised version is superb. The book of proverbs read with passion and real feeling. This is an excellent app if you want to read along while listening to audio bibles they have the NIV the ESV the KJV the and NRSV and more. Specifically they currently have the 1984 NIV. The reason for the two star review is downloading. Downloading is very slow, took me a little while to understand how to do it, and it crashes both my new iPhone X and my old iPhone 6 when I download more than one book at a time. After the update two days ago, I did lose my downloads but I was able to download the audio Bible without any problems or crashes. So glad this is the only app that you can download and listen to off-line in case if there was ever an Internet outage or power outage. PROBLEMS: Since an update was forced in my Apple devices, my preferred version, NKJV, has been reduced to audible only and New Testament only. This was not an upgrade. It was a downgrade. The functionality of the app has also worsened. It frequently repeats the audio from the first chapter of my daily reading while displaying the print of the next chapter. It used to remain within my preferred version. Now, when I go to change the book I am reading to another book, the app goes back to the start. I used to be able to access the chapter selection page by clicking the back arrow and now it takes me back to the initial opening page and version selection. Horrible “upgrade”..Version: 3.11.1

✓ Using this App since 2013I really have been using this app since 2013. I was injured on a military deployment near the end of 2012 and sent back to the USA. I felt alone and reached out to God more than ever before. I needed to hear His word while I got dressed in the mornings and while I did assignments and was alone. ✓ Best way to understand a Bible book in contextThis is my go-to when I want to experience the meaning of the words of scripture that says, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”. I have studied scripture most of my 68 year life after age 10 and this has opened up a whole new clarity: it forces you to hear the context. Today you can get devotionals and Bible studies pretty much everywhere. I have been in some studies that were 5 questions on 5 verses. ✓ A Wonderful App That Makes Bible Reading Fun!This app is honestly so fabulous! I love the dramatic reading of the Bible because it makes the Bible so much more interesting to listen to and it makes it easier to read parts of the Bible that can sometimes get a bit monotonous — like when they’re listing out genealogies or when they’re talking about how many cubits is needed to build something. I am so grateful for the app! The dramatic reading found here is unavailable on the “regular” Bible app that everybody has so that makes me like this app a bit more and I also like that it’s available in SO MANY different languages. The only bad thing about it is that sometimes it can be a little glitchy (it can freeze sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t start reading the next chapter automatically like it’s supposed to) so I hope that they fix that..Version: 3.6.9

Hearing it dramatized helps me to imagine and understand the Word better, especially in passages that are hard to read. I only have one negative comment. The women voices sometimes seem ‘just not right’. Several times they sounded very seductive, which I feel didn’t fit with the content. I can see when the daughter-in-law was playing a harlot, but when, for instance, Queen Esther was speaking, the seductiveness doesn’t seem appropriate for how I feel she is portrayed in the Bible. This happened several times , in several books. And also the female voice in several verses seemed screechy. Other than that I love it. Such an encouragement!
