STORE ROUTES & USE OFFLINE
With Maps 3D you’ll have the option to plan, record and share your routes, turning your iPhone into a fully-fledged GPS device so you can log key coordinates and elevations. You’ll also have offline access to worldwide 3D map data which limits the drain on the battery and means that you can pre-load maps to store when you don’t have a signal.

✗ Not bad - but room for improvementI purchased this app because I've been looking for a way to create routes for use with Cyclemeter. It's not bad, but has a few annoying features. It needs a landscape view. It zooms far too easily accidentally when moving the map to navigate a longer route. And most annoying of all, it only does the snap to roads on calculation of the track, which as a result needs to be done regularly, so as not to miss an unanticipated diversion. Lastly on completion of a planned route there seems to be no way to get a rapid full screen view of the whole route, and though I can easily save a route its not clear how I can cancel it and restart with a single tap. However, I will persevere with this app because some things are very good. The cursor positioning is good, the off-line maps and elevation data are good, and the export and import with Open-In to and from other apps is excellent. Not money wasted at all, this app is better than many I've tried. An iPad version would be great, too..Version: 3.1
✗ Doesn’t Save Waypoints or Maps in BackupI love the way this app works. BUT, I have lost waypoints and your maps have to be re-downloaded after a phone change/upgrade (due to a technical issue with iOS). I was able to export waypoints that were part of a track, but Tracking can drain your battery life. The current version does a better job of exporting tracks, but all my waypoints that were not part of a track are gone when I upgraded to the iPhone 8+.Version: 4.1.4
