✓ DisappointedI'm very disappointed with the new app. It is larger to download and my favourite section (letters) is only available in the print version which is a pain to read. With the old app, I was reading more than 80% but with this one I'm reading very little, even the crossword which at first appeared more promising is irritating with the keyboard disappearing after each entry. I enjoyed using the old version for more than 7 months but with this one I'm unlikely to continue with a subscription..Fear Naught (2)Version: 2.0.2

✓ Extremely Impressed!This update is an impressive step up in line with other highly rated magazine type layouts. (Flipboard, Currents & Zite). You only need to download and read what interests you and a 7pm edition wraps up the day nicely. What I really like is the ability to also read the paper in its standard format. ✓ Not that badThe app is ok, but I really only use it to view the paper edition. I like being able to download and read the paper edition in the morning. The only problem I found though is that the paper edition has absolutely no support for multitasking. So if you need to quickly check email or switch to the browser and then switch back, you need to reopen the paper edition and find the page you were reading..Slash5Version: 2.0

✓ Absolute garbageMajor day in Australian politics and as usual paper won't download properly. I have been stuffing around on and off for nearly two hours and still can only get 21% of the paper I pay for. Turn Ipad on and off repeatedly, try and update paper, tell it not to update, tried every possible option but still no luck. I have been paying for this frustration for a year but no more. When will the people responsible for this disaster take notice of their reviews and fix this? Have given it one star because I have no choice, it doesn't deserve even one..GrassymumVersion: 3.0.2

✓ ArrogantThese people do not even bother to respond to the constant issues with down loading their paper. As far as I am concerned they need to refund me the days I cannot down load their paper. Shocking service and a rating of 1 out of 5 by hundreds of readers validates what I am saying. ✓ Now I love it ...I last reviewed the HeraldSun app in June 2012 and thought it was only average at best but I must now give credit where it's due. I only use the "Paper Version" of the app so that's what this review covers, it is now perfect! The download is fast, the print quality crystal clear and whenever you stop reading and come back later, it is exactly where you left off, this was the real let down in last years version! The best news of all is that it has not crashed on me even once! Well done to the IT team at Headquarters, now it's back to reading todays paper with Black Caviar on the cover..MartypiesVersion: 3.0.1

✓ A WatershedEvery now and then something comes along that pushes the envelop and no doubt in my mind this is it. The clarity, the easy navigation, the scope and the speed leave nothing to be desired. I do find the adds a little annoying and the price seems high because 90% of apps are free but it's still cheaper than buying a paper and it is almost real time news.
