Herald Sun. for Negative User Reviews

There are still ads even if you pay!Thankfully this is just a free service that comes with my herald sun university subscription. If not, I would be very annoyed. 1. There are still ads even though you pay monthly subscription fees. 2. The ads look horrible and take up a third of the screen on EVERY article. There is white space above the ad, and also to the sides of the ad. Not to mention full screen ads before each article is loaded. 3. Just the whole app in general is not very visually appealing. The colours and patterns aren't very aesthetically pleasing. 4. Not such a big deal, but should still be updated to retina support already. The new iPad has been out for over a month. Advice to everyone: 1. Get an app called "Zite" - no annoying ads, takes articles from various websites about practically any topic that you choose and then displays them in a nice magazine format. 2. Get "The Age" app - looks very nice and clean design. Sure there are ads every now and again when you turn the pages, but much easier to handle, and isn't annoying at all. 3. Save your money. Herald Sun already makes a killing from advertising, and you are just donating money monthly if you subscribe to this app and pay the monthly fee. You are literally paying to look at ads, which the Herald Sun gets paid to put there..Version: 1.7.0

Terrible backwards stepThis new version is a terrible backwards step that actually makes you want to drive to the shop and buy the normal paper instead... It is very clunky, slow and poorly laid out. The idea of having the PDF of the print version is a great idea, but a 100mb download?! Serious? Also, outside of the print edition, if I click on sport - I have a 37mb download before I can read anything? That is a joke. The idea of a digital paper is meant to be convenience. Even on a lightning fast wifi access point, I have to wait ages to read the basic news. Quicker to look online or at a competitors news app. I hope the large number of negative reviews will make the herald sun back pedal to the existing version or fix this one very very soon..Version: 2.0

Price Increase? Adios! Not sure what the logic is behind the tripling of the monthly price--significantly higher than any other comparable e-paper--but I cancelled my subscription this afternoon. Very disappointed..Version: 4.0.4

Poor app. ,,not worth a quarter of the priceI was going to give my input of this terrible app,but everything I want to say has been said. I do find it amusing listening to the journolists on radio and TV trying to tow the company line about paying for news, however, such a poor app with adverts and a third of the news that is in the actual paper is going to get what it rightfully deserves. The age just kills this app for content and quality, and it's free. My free subscription is about to expire, and that will be the end of me as a reader. I strongly suspect it will also be the end of what was once a great paper, that looked after its readers. Well done rupert Murdoch ,here's another paper you have killed..Version: 1.7.0

Embarrassingly poor.Age app, tap the icon, wait two seconds, read paper. Australian app, tap the icon, wait three seconds, read paper. Herald sun app, tap the icon, scroll through 7 editions starting with the oldest as opposed to the newest, tap download, wait 5-7 mins for download in foreground (other apps download in background and are ready to go) ,watch spinning wheel after download finished for another few minutes, acknowledge error saying "sorry, we had a problem etc, close app, restart app and repeat entire process a few times.... After repeating this frustrating ritual every morning since January 7th, countless re-installs, and hours searching forums for a solution, I have given up on the herald sun. If it was some low budget school newspaper with a circulation of a few hundred you could maybe forgive the abysmal quality of this app. I remain dumbfounded by the apparent apathy exhibited by the digital platform staff and management towards the PAYING CUSTOMERS by allowing this untenable situation to continue. WILL SOMEBODY WHO IS EMPOWERED TO MAKE A DECISION WITHIN THE NEWS CORP ORGANISATION PLEASE EXTRACT THEIR HEAD FROM THEIR BUM AND FIX THIS NOW..Version: 4.0.6

Can someone please fix thisI don't understand why these problems are not getting fixed. We are all having major dramas with this app, the only reason I'm keeping the app is for the footy news. But when you can't even bring up a new days paper to download, it's very frustrating. Then, in an instance when you can download something, you must be near wifi to open it again, which is ridiculous when you want to read it on the train. Please fix it as soon as. The updated app is terrible, a)the whole page does not fit on the screen and then when you tap on a article, then hit the arrow to go back where you just were, it throws you back to the cover. My subscription is under serious threat..Version: 8.5

Buggy and not reliableI'm trying to convert from print to electronic for all of my favourite magazines and thought it would make sense to do the same with the daily paper. The app freezes and the copy of the print edition cannot be relied on to be available for the morning commute. Downloading the print edition is clunky and cumbersome especially on the weekend when there are multiple magazine sections that all need to be accessed individually. Customer service complaints do not get timely or relevant replies. At this stage I would recommend remaining with purchasing your daily newspaper at the train station and keep growing landfill..Version: 3.0.2

Rhys deanSigned up 2 days ago still can’t access my account even though they took money out I have sent them emails on there site to resolve no reply and you will notice that they don’t send you a confirmation email so you can’t have evidence for court should you dispute there customer service or services this newspaper is money hungry and corrupt I cannot call there line because I have schizophrenia and can’t talk on phones but have notified them that my subscription is cancelled and that I have closed my credit card worst newspaper they take advantage of the people paying their bills.Version: 9.2.5

No respect for customersI've been putting off writing a review as I just assumed eventually there would be a fix for all the problems but that doesn't appear to be. I'm so annoyed that I have to transfer subscription twice every time I wanna read the paper if the paper is available, so many times has the paper been unavailable before 9am so I've just had to go without. Every time I empty the cache that has to be done twice, sometimes font is unreadable and today wouldn't even accept my login if I am paying I want better service than this it is unacceptable you'd think after so many poor reviews herald sun would fix this problem it just comes down to no respect for paying customer.Version: 3.0.2

Ugly interface, you need an accountQuite ugly and you need an account to view articles. Design - ugly, learn from the sydney morning herald, it's awesome!.Version: 3.0.2

A bigger disappointmentHonestly, this version is even worse than the one before. The interface is very slow, full of bugs, and not really designed well at all. The layout is really bad and is very confusing, with the file sizes being massive as well, around 38mb for just the news section, which has to be downloaded prior to reading! However, the in-app version of the print media is a nice addition, although it is of course 'yesterday's news today' and is irrelevant when presented alongside the current online news. If you're looking for a good news app based in Melbourne, look no further than The Age. Very well designed and is brilliant to read, one of the best news apps in the world. It's also free for the time being....Version: 2.0

Why break something that was working fine.Reviewed updated. This last update is a major step backwards!! Sometimes I miss a few days and go back to read previous papers but now It doesn’t show papers that I have previously downloaded marked as downloaded anymore so I don’t know what paper I’m up to and also when I go back to continue reading it it doesn’t take me back to the page I was up to anymore it takes me back to the front page. Please revert it back to the way it was because you have removed the handy features that kept me reading it. Now it keeps crashing, cannot download the paper so I can read it when on a plane or out of internet range, doesn’t load the current day. If this doesn’t get fixed soon then not worth having and will probably cancel my subscription..Version: 8.6

Go online instead.Terrible app. Do not waste your money. Does not contain everything in the print version of the paper. App itself has many bugs. VERY, VERY slow navigating to different articles. Problems with downloading contact also. ( would constantly tell me I had no Internet connection, despite my active and fully functional home adsl2+ wifi network). At present, too many bugs and very slow speed to be used easily and without frustration. I will not be renewing and will use the online site instead. It has it's flaws, but is still 100 fold better than the app. This should have been tested as beta prior to release. Unjustifiable to charge $8 for this rubbish..Version: 0

Not greatI subscribe to times, and the quality gap between the apps is astounding Slow, buggy, full of ads and doesn't update. No offline reading feature. Don't bother till significant improvements are made.Version: 0

This app is rubbishThis app is rubbish. It consistently fails to download everything, in particular, the much vaunted crime section, videos and the comic section, which frequently displays the same comics for several days. When help is sought from support staff you will be consistently be told the same thing, download and re-instal the app, as if we users are too stupid to have done that already. All too often, the latest or breaking news won't download for days at a time the suddenly come good for a short while before disappearing again. More thought needs to be put into a serious re-write of this app to establish why it breaks down so often. I give one star only because I can't give less and advise you to give it a big miss..Version: 2.0.2

Good when it worksGenerally a good app but often when reading content, app bombs out to the iPad home screen. However, after clicking on the app to access it again, you're unable to access any content at all as you're greeted by a "Loading" screen that progresses no further. Exiting and re accessing the app doesn't work and nor does shutting down and restarting the iPad. Ditto deleting the app from memory. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does work but this is not a workable solution. Very frustrating! I cancelled my digital subscription. Hopefully a stable new app coming soon..Version: 3.0.2

FrustratingWhat is with the annoying Binge pop up ad that makes paragraphs of Top Stories content unreadable and won’t close when you tap the cross? I thought that by paying for an app, you would not have to put up with such amateurish self promotion. If you insist on having advertisements, at least get it right so you can still read the articles. Also, please employ some people who can proof read the ‘Top Stories’ articles. You seem to get it (mostly) right with the paper, but the online content is quite often laughable with the amount of spelling and grammatical errors..Version: 8.7.3

Updated app could use improvementThe app has gotten better over time, however the latest incarnation could do with some improvements when viewing the “paper as published”. Too much screen real estate is lost because of the persistent header and footer, it would be nice to have an option to hide the header and footer as per the previous version where a single tap would hide/show header. Double tap opens the page at the top left, not where you tapped. Obviously if you doubled tapped on that spot that’s where you want the focus to be and not have to swipe to where you want to go. When reopening the “paper as published” it does not remember where you last left off, don’t really want to scroll through all the page’s again. As I said, an improvement, so my star rating has gone up since my last review (quite a while ago now).Version: 8.4

My subscription doesn’t recognise my appHi H/S I have tried many times to receive news from the Herald Sun app and it keeps on telling me to subscribe when I go to read a story. I changed my email address a while ago so this might be one of the reasons it’s not working. It’s getting very annoying.Version: 9.3.2

Worst AppFor the last few weeks yet again I am unable to download a copy to read off line. It happened a while ago and after some time it was restored. But no, gone again. Does anyone actually look at the App and the reviews? It is truely the worst media App I have ever known. The others I have never have a problem but this one is beyond words. And if you ring the “help” desk as I did last time I was told no one else has complained and I can’t see it on my app. Which of course was a complete lie as others certainly did have the same problem. Just fix it Herald Sun as you want us to go all electronic..Version: 9.2.4

I am sick to death of having to continue to re instal the herald sun to gain full access to articlesThis has continued far too long and I have just about had enough you are quick to take the monthly payment but the iPad app continues to lock me out this must be bordering on with false advertising or an acc complaint for not delivering on what a customer is paying for surely you must be aware of this problem that has continued for over 12 months now but no explanations or more importantly no apologies and now on 31 October 2022 this is still happening this is very very frustrating and a shocking way to treat loyal customers/readers the next time it happens that’s it for me if your app is unreliable I have to assume your news is too!.Version: 8.7.3

App crashes, Fixes and says no connection to internet. Now won’t let me cancel subscriptionApp sadly for $29 a month doesn’t come close to a professional app. It has been around for years. It used to be brilliant easy to use a enjoyable experience. But sadly the last 5 or 6 months constantly crashes, freezes or comes up with page not found. Last month I cancelled my subscription as I had enough of the updated app. The subscription was meant to end on 28th of December another payment has come out and it had auto renewed. I attempted to phone Herald sun to inform them of problems with cancellation of subscription. They told me not there problem it’s apples fault and they receive no money from apple for app. They weren’t interested in app crashing or poor quality reviews for app. This is the first time in a decade that I have had a problem canceling a subscription from the Apple Store. I am hoping it’s some how my fault in my attempt to cancel app subscription . I have double checked and screen shot cancellation details. I am hopeful no more money will be deducted for this inferior app. Herald Sun is a major newspaper in Australia I am amazed that from looking at other reviews similar to mine that they don’t invest in a stable app..Version: 8.5

Can this app get any worse?A really, REALLY bad app. I've used other news apps and they just work, every day and as they are intended to work. For some reason the fools that wrote this app think that it is ok to charge good money for an app that on any given day will crash, won't give you your newspaper until nearly lunchtime, or as I'm finding for about the past ten days or so, on each and every day I open it and go to read my newspaper (the one I'm paying them for!!) that I have to stuff around "transferring" my subscription to my "new" iPad (even though it's the same iPad each and every day that has been logged into the same iTunes account each and every day) . Some days this can be a ten second task, on others I just give up after two or three minutes. The owners of this app should be ashamed of themselves, these issues have been ongoing. They ignore emailed queries (or just try to palm you off), how is it that so many other news apps have got it right and they remain such a 3rd rate app?? It baffles me! I've certainly had enough, no more renewing for me!.Version: 3.0.2

Update needs to be fixedCould not read paper till I updated the app and update not working was stuck in loop. Fixed it on my iPad after messing with it for few minutes. Went to App Store and was going to uninstall and download again but checked updates section first. Update listed there from 19/12 said bug fixes and other things so updated from there instead of from inside the app and it works fine now. If you are having trouble on your ipad try that first before uninstalling. HS tech needs to fix the updater as people won't bother jumping through hoops to fix it and just won't bother with the app if it doesn't work..Version: 5.0.18

Unable to read offlineI anticipated that if I download the paper at home, I should be able to then read it offline on the bus or train but stupidly, the app wants to reconnect online before allowing you to open the app. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Why bother having the download feature at all. Please fix. The Age and Sydney Morning Herald do not have this problem..Version: 7.9

RubbishWhat has happened to the Herald Sun, it is completely different to what I used to read in the past . It’s confusing and almost impossible to use. Bring back the previous version of the App, which was a lot more user friendly. I am unable to rate this App because it is utterly useless in its presentation. I am still trying to work out how to get today’s paper. The idiot that designed and put together this App should be fired. I think I might switch to another mob. I think that the Herald Sun is trying to force people to buy there hard copy. Is there any way I could get back to the previous version of this App? Or at least delete this new version..Version: 8.4

What a shocker! Hate it.What happened to the newspaper I used to look forward to reading? This is clunky and not user friendly. Worse - when you close the app for whatever reason while in the middle of an article, when you return - instead of taking you back to exactly where you were, time and energy is wasted trying to find your lost spot. Bookmarks are ok but the automatic version from before was more personal and satisfying. Many other problems but the general question should be - why replace a well functioning product with a vastly inferior version?.Version: 8.5

Clueless. The HS just doesn't get it. Paywall's for newspapers are a fledgling tactic in the online realm and people need reasons and motivation to spend the $8 a month. Currently, the content offered is basic and lightweight and unrepresentative of the paper version. IT IS FILLED WITH ADS, and yet we are paying for it? Irritatingly, the ads are placed in unwieldy positions to sate advertisers (left of the text in articles) and the full page ads every 3 clicks is frustrating. Very few people will pay money for this app in its current state. If we're paying, reduce the ads and increase the breadth of content. A very poor effort considering the bluster of the paywall launch. Stick to The Age people..Version: 1.7.0

Too slow and a bit clunkyI really like the addition of what the printed paper looks like. Once loaded it works quite well on the iPad 3. However the app doesn't support app switching which is a terrible shame. If I close the app to check something else (an email for example), and open the app again it seems to forget everything like where I was up to, what part of the app I was in. It takes too long to respond to touches like when I want to read the paper version it takes too long to open and then once the next window opens there's another delay in opening it. My main points are to make it faster to navigate and support app switching!.Version: 2.0

What is with the stupid pop up ads?I have used this app for years and it has been pretty solid. But the recent addition of an add that pops up and covers the paragraph I am trying to read an won’t remove when you press the x is seriously annoying. You scroll past it and try to creep back only to see it cover the words again!! Advertising fine - having to play games to read something I have already paid for?? Come on..Version: 8.7.3

More failures than Victorian GovernmentI totally agree with the other reviews here as my experience is similar to those posted. Terrible effort from News Corporation..Version: 9.3.2

Not too shabbyI had found this app a little slow to update, but it'S looking like my optus wi-fi is actually the culprit. This app is a pleasant surprise given what I was expecting. The Australian app was underwhelming to begin with but the herald sun has obviously learned from the experience of others in their stable being first. I love the picture quality, I love how someone in Australia is finally getting how the iPad version shouldn't just be a cut down website or a replica of the newspaper. The price is, um, probably about as much as I'd be willing to pay for something like this, but provided Those update speeds can be fixed, this is my daily tram commute sorted for the next couple of years. Maybe five stars is a touch generous, but I hate to see a melbourne app being caned by people who chuck rocks from anonymity. Will there be an Age app Anytime soon?.Version: 0

Worst App Ever!I have just wasted three hours of my life trying to get this app to work as it keeps asking to "transfer subscription" why does it need to ask thus every day? Turning the app off and on again or restarting the iPad makes absolutely no difference either I cannot believe that we have put up with such mediocre quality. Talk about a clunky app it takes more than half an hour every morning just to update also I am going back to "The Age" app were I have no problems getting my news content on a consistent daily basis. If there is any chance that this app becomes semi decent then only then will it be considered. NOT HAPPY!!!!!!.Version: 3.0.2

DisappointedSince my last review HS responded to advise I could now return to downloading the paper and read without having the iPad connected to wifi constantly. However sometimes it downloads and most times it does not! It’s very difficult to select the download button as it’s so tiny! Most times when I reopen the app the downloaded paper has disappeared. Losing my patience. Not worth $30 a month! Don’t bother! More problems than it’s worth. The old app was so much better! Why did HS change what was not broken! The new upgrade has not improved the process at all! —————————————————————————————— Have been a subscriber to the digital version of the Herald Sun for many years. Referred family and friends to subscribe. Was highly disappointed by the recent updates. You now need to constantly be connected to the internet to read through the HS. Previously you could download the paper in advance and were not required to be connected as you read through the content. This was particularly handy while travelling or being in an area where you cannot always be connected to the internet. I have spoken to a number of people who share the same opinion. I will definitely be reconsidering my subscription and am sure others will too!.Version: 8.6

DisappointingI'm really disappointed, firstly the age makes it free. I read the comments before that you had to pay money to use it but seriously paying monthly and approx 7 dollars every time? that's way too much. I wouldn't mind too much for paying 7 dollars for the whole thing and it would last forever. Please note that many students (and of course other people) like to read the herald sun since its more easier to understand in comparison to the age however, 7 dollars a month for a student(mainly) may not seem like a lot to you, but it really is. Please reconsider the price (although I highly doubt you would). And if you're driven for profit, I think monthly subscription would earn you a lot of money in short term but in long term, paying once, there is a way higher percentage of people who would be willing to pay, therefore you'll earn more money (but of course it's just an opinion and I'm just a kid, what would I know?.Version: 1.7.0

Someone needs to be sackedDownloaded the new app. On opening it takes me to the HS opening page where all I can do is click on "Update". This just repeats the above process forever. Removed HS from my iPad3. Rebooted, redo downloading etc, same result. GRRRRR! Then repeat above only to be finally told that the new version needs the latest IO, which an iPad3 cannot install. I was given the option to download the old version. Did that only to be forced back to repeat all of the above. So now, just as I was convincing my wife to move from paper to digital, I can't even open the darn thing Come on HS a tiny bit of intelligence please and let me use the old version. And HUGE brickbats for writing such faulty software.Version: 5.1.0

Not as good as The Age appI like the idea but the app needs a LOT more work before it becomes a good enough competitor to The Age app. The printed version is too slow and very clunky to load. When the iPad goes to sleep (or I close my case for a minute) I need to load the entire home page and paper version again - and sometimes it simply does't load so I need to close down the app and open it up again. The developers should take a look at how The Age app works and simply duplicate their approach - then it will come down to which paper people want to read..... I'm dropping my subscription to this..Version: 2.0.2

PatheticWorst app I have by a long way. I love reading the herald sun, but can not cop this app. If the app even works in the morning, which at least half the days it doesn't, I am asked to log in AGAIN. After 5 log ins, I am told I am logged into too many devices. Sorry, but I have only got 1 iPad. I ask for help from customer service and am told that this is "easily fixed" by clearing all my cookies and cache on my browser. How about you just fix the problem rather than me having to do this very week ? Today I subscribed to The Age, oh what a wonderful experience. Accept that you have made a mistake with this app and change it. You will lose so many readers if you don't do something soon..Version: 3.0.2

UnsubscribeNot worth the continued increasing cost if user experience is not a priority to invest in. As a paid subscriber why am I presented with pop up ads mid article that cover the content I’m reading and cannot be dismissed? The continual app crashing, articles not refreshing, incorrect feeds, issues with downloaded print copies when trying to read offline, the list could go on forever. Clearly by the feedback here that is strong and constant HS has demonstrated they have no intention of investing in user experience and human centered features as people just keep paying the inflated services while they laugh all the way to the bank. Hopefully subscription numbers dropping will force them to reevaluate people who support paid journalism when there are many other services (paid and unpaid) that are so much better and value their readership..Version: 8.7.3

Worst app everWhoever wrote this app is obviously not a regular reader of newspapers. When you come back to the app after using it once instead of reloading the front page again and allowing you to choose which stories or sections you want to read, it gives you a series of headings, none of which allow you to find the stories you might have skipped over the first time you switched the app on. Also, when you open the app for the first time, you get the spinning symbol for what appears ages, before a picture comes up. Herald Sun editor, if you want to see a good app, look at the Australian in your News stable..Version: 8.7.3

Poorly ExecutedThe authors should look at Bloomberg Businessweek+, Flipboard, and even The Daily for ideas on a better execution. In this case, you should stick with the free website. The app has outdated navigation and content refresh is handled poorly..Version: 1.1

Poorly Implemented. Slow, huge downloads, lacking in articlesThe title says it all, really. The app forces you to read it in sideways or landscape mode, which isn't the most ergonomically friendly way to use an iPad or other tablet. Downloads are huge and take some time. Worse, you cannot download all updates (news, sport, confidential, TV, etc) concurrently. Rather, you have to do them one at a time. If you're trying to get ready to go to work, catch the train, or whatever, the last thing that you want to do is to sit around while the HS app takes its sweet time to download the day's paper. When you open the app, all sections take a while before they become available to read. Tap on a section, go to it, then return to the home screen and again, it takes up to 20 seconds before the app is once more usable. Content is lacking. It seems to have only a tiny fraction of what's in the paper version of the newspaper. No letters page is a HUGE ommission. You can read a downloaded PDF version, but it's small, and you have to scroll around the page to view the tiny text. You're better off buying the paper itself. I've given up on using the app. If the H-S ever decides to respond to user comments and fix it then maybe I'll go back to it. But in the meantime if you want to see how a newspaper app can work really well, check out the H-S's direct competitor, The Age..Version: 2.0.2

Slow and painfulHas a lot of potential to be a good news app (like including the Print version unlike the Fairfax apps), but is painfully slow to load, doesn't remember your last view, doesn't support multi-tasking and is so annoying when you're iPad sleeps and you have to manually navigate back to where you were reading (not to mention wait for it to slowly load again). Think the development team should really fix this, and fast. I've gone back to reading the Herald Sun from their website and only use when i need to download the paper edition for when I'm flying and can't access internet..Version: 2.0.2

It’s supposed to be a newspaperAll I want to be able to do is read the daily paper, without having to go out and buy a hard copy each day. I don’t care for endlessly scrolling newsfeeds. There are plenty of other outlets for that style of news. Alas, the reading of the paper is absolute rubbish on the rare occasion it actually loads correctly. Make it full screen and fluid to turn pages and it would be a winner. This clunky mess they call an app is all but useless. The Herald Sun would do well to check their app ratings and feedback, as would anyone else considering downloading this as a source of information..Version: 8.4

Why, oh why?I’m now having to delete the app every day, after it was going so well for so long. If this keeps up, I will have to cancel my subscription, just not worth it. You should have this problem fixed by now!.Version: 9.3.2

This is atrociousI had no issues with the previous app but the Herald Sun have taken a huge step backwards with this version. This app, and I don’t like to be negative but have no choice here, is absolutely atrocious. For some reason they have put in a large header and footer that blocks out a lot of the page. Ummm, why? It serves no purpose. When you come back to read it later on, it takes you back to page one instead of where you left off. The library doesn’t store past editions. Didn’t they beta test their app first? They really need to lift their game and do something about this app as it is hugely disappointing..Version: 8.5

Shocking start to the dayDownloaded the app, restarted the Ipad, then did it again, no joy, it kept reverting me back to the down load page. Still not working.....Version: 6.1.0

Too hard!!!I’ve been a subscriber for years, through my old work email address &, since retiring, through my new address. So many articles insist I need to be a subscriber to open them. I humour it & attempt to, it immediately offers my previous address, WHICH DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE !! And it doesn’t accept saved password for this address. I type in my new address & it rejects this saved password too. And sabotages any attempts to change password , saying account does not exist. Though it recognises the accounts bank account & helps itself when hungry. I gave up a few months ago, just couldn’t be bothered anymore & unsubscribed. A month ago I succumbed to some click bate & gave it one more go! Silly me. It remembered again how to take my money. It worked for a few days before once again only recognising “subscribers”. Can someone at the HS tell me what the answer is, why do you only deal with special people? You actually owe me money now, any response to that?.Version: 8.7.2

Hate the App love your paperI love to wake up in the morning and read your paper. Wish the app didn't freeze and refuse to down load all the time. Guys fix the bugs!.Version: 3.0.2

Does "I like it" work for the herald sunI am frequently deleting and reloading this app so it will recognise my log in details. I have had to change and re-enter my password repeatedly. Sometimes that works other times it doesn't and I have to ring someone to reset the whole password - complete waste of time. Just today I logged in after deleting the app, still denied access, do the same again, go through the process of resetting password on the herald sun website, log back in and able to view one item, then tried to download paper 5 mins later, only to be denied access. Complete rubbish! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!.Version: 2.0.2

Just so awfulSo glad to see others are equally angry with this update. Why, why has this happened? I would give it zero if I could. The one key thing in a digital reproduction of a paper is actually be able to save it to my digital scrapbook. That used to be so easy via the clipping tool. With this update no clipping tool exists and as other reviews say trying to save anything at all or forward a good photo to my nephew etc etc is just so hard and it no longer looks like it did in the paper. As for trying to save or send the great graphs and boxes of info HS does so well. Just impossible! Why, why has this happened?.Version: 8.4

Not worth the effortDon't waste your time with this app. It constantly crashes for no reason when using on iPad with ios5. I got it to keep up with Australian news whilst living in London but really The Age app or www.heraldsun are much more reliable.Version: 1.3.0
