✓ Very usefulI use this app on a routine basis. It is easy to use and efficient. My only complaint is that although the account seems to be maintained on line the information does not sync between devices which means I often have to re-enter patient information if I happen to be using my mini rather than my full size iPad. If this got fixed it'd be a 5 star.Version: 1.3.9
✓ Doctor, doctor give me the NEWS...Rx writer is the best idea since electronic medical records and the next step toward the iPhone seeing it's true potential as a "Hand Held Office"; it falls short in the data entry department (Why should I have to search for Fax numbers and key them in by hand when all thar info is already Open Source?), but, nothings perfect. ✓ Best iPad Application for PhysiciansI am not much of a computer person. I avoid them whenever I can. My son gave me an iPad and suggested I look at Rx-Writer. This is the only reason that I love my iPad. It saves me at least 30-60 minutes every day I see patients..Version: 1.1.1
✓ Fast, easy, awesome!Can't say enough about how great this app is. Using it for over a month: saves so much time! Love having a patient's script hx at my fingertips when out of the office. Can make informed decisions about meds no matter where I am. (e.g. Why Mrs. Smith, a one month supply of Xanax was sent to your pharmacy 10 days ago. How could you be out already?) You can tell immediately that this app was developed by a physician because it is so physician friendly and intuitive. Developer has responded promptly and thoroughly to questions. Has already incorporated multiple user suggested fine tuning changes that made an awesome app even more awesome. Only disappointment: the option to email scripts to pharmacies for free isn't truly an option. I have yet to find a pharmacy that accepts emailed scripts. So you will be paying to fax the scripts directly from the ipad, though this is reasonably priced - I paid more for paper Rx pads. (You could email scripts to yourself for free, print them out and then fax them from the office, but who wants to go through so much trouble?) Developer is aiming for electronic prescribing certification and this will be great when it becomes available. You won't regret subscribing to this service..Version: 1.2.1
✓ FantasticI have been using Rx-Writer since the fall of 2010. This prescription app. is top-notch. I use it all day long in my office. Less time for refilling patients scripts, more time for patients. Also, if I am at home on a weekend I have all my patient's prescription data at hand. It is easy to use. Refilling scripts are just a tap way. It helps take better care of my patients. No errors from poor handwriting. I highly recommend this app. for physicians..Version: 1.3.2

✓ Excellent for meds, but what about prescribing procedures & tests?On somewhat frequent occasion I find myself out of the office when a patient have an emergency and have the need to prescribe an MRI, CT Scan, NCV or other study; or some other course of care. The program doesn't give you the ability to write a procedural prescription such as these. It would be nice to add this flexibility to the program. But otherwise, it's a very good program for Rx-ing meds.Version: 1.3.9

✓ Useful appWe find this app useful every day and our scrips are legible. They do not have a way to allow multiple providers to access same patient database. In my clinic, this would be highly helpful. Also, an interface with my EHR SoapWare would be very helpful and time saving. Thy Re quick to respond to bug reports and very helpful over the phone. ✓ Amazing!What a fabulously innovative app! I can only imagine how much time and how many trees will be saved by writing prescriptions electronically through this app. Rx-Writer also increases accuracy, especially for physicians who have a very large client base. It is so much more functional to have all of your patients info at the tip of your fingers, and be able to write prescriptions without needing to worry about drug interactions, correct dosage, or which pharmacy to use. It is all kept on record for you! The writers of this app really hit the nail on the head with this one!! Works like a charm from the trials I've done. My guess is that the pharmacies will also appreciate the 'legible' writing :) D/L this app ASAP!!!.Version: 0

✓ Great Time SaverI have looked at a lot of e-prescribing solutions and this one looks like it might just hit the mark. I downloaded it yesterday and have been testing it and I can’t believe I can fax an Rx right from my iPad! I wrote an Rx for my wife and faxed it to our local Pharmacy, when I went in to pick it up, no problems. I haven’t tried it in my practice yet, but it’s fast, easy, and works like you’d expect. ✓ Outstanding product and customer serviceI have been using Rx writer for over a year. My subspeciality practice is not high volume and I chose to use the free version past the trial period since I can easily keep to below the 200 patients required to maintain the free version. The Rx database is comprehensive and intuitive. More over, what is not available can be free-texted easily. The prescription can be viewed before sending to the pharmacy and most importantly, can be saved as a PDF in my patient folder on a secure shared drive. This enables my staff to retrieve prescriptions and resend to pharmacy in my absence. The support provided by this small company has been exemplary. I get email responses within a short time. Recently, the company's chief officers both took the time to trouble shoot a database transfer to my new iphone. This involved them teleconferencing and networking into my desktop to retrieve my old data and installing it into itunes. I cannot thank them enough for recovering my patient database that I had given up as lost for ever. I have never had this kinda support from other app developers. I would strongly recommend this product over others that are available in the app market..Version: 1.3.6
✓ A novel app but needs better automationThis is a novel application for a iPad enthusiast but I question it's practicality. In it's current form by the time you login, enter a patient and their pharmacy info it's still faster to write the prescription by hand and it also costs per play to use the program for an otherwise free process. Once the patient and pharmacy info is entered the second time around it would be much faster. The pharmacies will appreciate receiving a legible prescriptions. In a future release I would like to see a way to import a patient list and to be able to choos pharmacies from an online list..Version: 1.2.1

✓ TREMEDOUS!!In primary care I can write between 50 and 70 scripts on an average day. On a "good day" I can write enough scripts that my hand cramps! This app looks to save me time, money and a little pain. Because as we all know, we see more patients in less time per patient and the time with the patient is what's important. Hand writing up to a dozen scripts for any one patient takes away from that time. And, being able to FAX and email clear, legible, complete scripts directly to the pharmacy undoubtably will save countless phone calls. This app is comprehensive, intuitive and simple..Version: 0
