✓ You get nothing for free.So my brother had this app and recommended so I downloaded. He pays in fairness but the free app is a waste of time. It shows you what the weather WAS like on the maps. So the actual map is always historical not what is going to happen In The future. You get the odd alert in fairness but you 10 x more annoying ads for other apps. ✓ Buyer beware: Post-purchase downgradeI paid for adverts to be removed from this app some time ago as I found the 8 hour animated display very useful. They have now downgraded the animation to be a small fraction of what it was and you now have to pay extra to get the 8 hour animation back. Without the 8 hour window I do not find the app useful. The developer thinks that this is fair because they say I only paid for adverts to be removed. I think this is not fair because I paid for adverts to be removed only because I found its features useful. If those features are removed then it is no longer the app that I paid to remove ads from. If I pay to unlock the features I used to enjoy there would seem to be no guarantee that they won’t remove more features and place them behind additional pay walls in the future. It’s a good app, but I strongly object to the practice of moving essential features behind a pay wall after one has paid to remove ads from those features. If the legacy features were unlocked for the legacy users that paid to remove ads from them then I would of course amend my review, until then; one star, buyer beware..Version: 3.17
✓ Retrograde step for the rain alarm!!!What a shame profit comes before user experience. The simple app that gave a good sequence of rainfall over 8 hours has now been compromised to raise money with the nasty “in app” scenarios. ✓ A useful app, but ads are really annoyingThis is a very useful and friendly app, I’ve been using it for years but the ads have become very invasive in the last versions.I understand that you should buy it to get rid of them but I cannot buy every single app just to make the ads go away, despite they’re cheap or not, it’s very annoying and you bother other people when you’re watching the app and suddenly a strong music or explosions promoting a game breaks the silence and your phone almost falls down from your hand. Instead of pushing me to buy the app, it makes me wish to uninstall it. Again, I like the app but this ad methodology that I can see on many apps are really anti-purchase. ✓ The zoom fix is annoyingSince the last update, every time I open the app it shows an extremely zoomed out image. If we can choose a radius, it makes sense that the app will open showing that radius or at least a similar one, but not one where the radius chosen is just a small dot. ✓ Please find a better sourceReally love the idea of this app. I own a jeep and like anyone with a convertible, drive with the top down. Nothing like an unexpected storm. The problem is, the data pulled is inaccurate. I am often alerted there is rain in the area. I look at the map data in RainAlarm, and there is rain, but if I used any other app, no rain. Used TWC or WeatherBug...nothing! Should mention, today, not a cloud in sight, but received an alert. Please look for another weather source to integrate your app with. Thanks for the effort. ✓ Ads...ads...ANNOYING ADS!!!!I’ve owned this app for many years, and it has saved my bacon a few times, saving some expensive equipment from being drowned in heavy thunderstorms. The free version sufficed, and I could tolerate the banner ad at the bottom. Recent updates not only have those, but now as you view the radar annoying video ads pop up and fill the screen which are extremely annoying! I know they are used to generate revenue but there comes a point when they’re counterproductive. Nobody watches the things and only aggravate users, making the app less enjoyable. Why aggravate your users even more so? The annoying, intrusive video ads have taken my 5 star rating down to a 3. If it gets worse it'll go down further..Version: 2.18

✓ I miss the eight hour reviewIn a previous version that i paid for the app had settings to view the previous eight hours rain radar, this was a handy feature as a groundsman to see what conditions might be like in a location away from where i may have been at the time. It was a farmer who put me on to this app many years ago & i suspect they will be missing this feature also. I was hoping it would be in the pro version but sadly it is not.
