White Noise Pros
✓ Latest version fixes all concernsWhen I first downloaded White Noise, I thought it was a neat little app, with sounds that provide the perfect ambience for studying and sleeping. But having to click 15 times just to get to the noise I wanted and the lack of trackpad gestures made this app lack a necessary functionality. Additionally, the absence of alarms or a sleep timer made using this app impractical. However, with the latest update (version 2.0.0), all my concerns have been addressed, in addition to other features I wasn't even expecting. The mix pad is simply fantastic, both to play with and to actually listen to. The trackpad gestures aren't particularly intuitive (at least for me), in that swiping right actually goes to the sound to the left and vice versa. I'm guessing the idea is that you're swiping that sound "away". Regardless, I'm grateful that swiping does anything at all. I will be recommending this app to all of my friends as a fun and helpful tool. The only thing I can think of that would make this app any better is more sounds..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Brown Noise is my White NoiseI am in love with the powerful brown noise sound that pours through my Bose speakers. I now sleep to it every night! I also really like the timers and alarm options. I first used on my iPhone and I love that it also runs on my MacBook Pro. The new 2.0 update added the mix pad which is very slick. It's actually fun to create new sounds. Excellent job devs! This is totally worth the money!.Version: 2.0.0

✗ Gave my MAC insomniaAfter installing my mac would no longer go to sleep on its own, regardless of power management selections, even when white noise isn't running. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting this problem, and I am very MAC savvy. Eventually i just started unistalling applications one by one. Sure enough White Noise was the coulpret. Went to developers forums to see if they had any suggestions but they wanted me to register in order to post. Sorry but I have wasted too much time and effort on this simple app that I rarely use anyway. A refund would be nice but whats 5$ when i just spent 4 hours troubleshooting my computer and posting this review..Version: 4.9.1
✗ I really like this app, but...I really like this app but it has several things that annoy me. First is that it keeps bugging me to enter a review. Well guess what. Here it is. I don’t like apps that pester me. Especially ones that you have to pay for. If I don’t want to leave a review, then give me an option to NEVER bother me about it again. I don’t usually leave reviews for apps. I don’t have time or the inclination to do so. Sorry. Second, this apps uses too much battery. Third, I don’t need or want the features you keep adding. Fourth, all dialogs presented should have a cancel button. Fifth. Change the unreadable cursive font used in the dialogs. You’re first version had just the right amount of features. On a positive note, I really like the ‘brown noise’ sound and find it restful..Version: 6.1.1
