✓ Great app when it workedI downloaded the new version of this app on the iPad and it crashes right away. Both this one and the inrat. It works on the iPhone but not the iPad. Except for that, the old version works great and helps a lot for me studies......please fix the crashing.Version: 9.4

I have purchased, downloaded, followed many broken links on the internet in pursuit of a comprehensive study guide for my Ground School, PSTAR, and Transportation Canada Private Pilot Written Exams studies. All my searching came to an end when I discovered the Canada Private Pilot Test Prep By Dauntless Aviation. I used it from Ground School all the way up to my Instrument rating. The material is easy to understand with detailed explanation on all subjects. I have and will continue to recommend it to my friends and others who are looking for an in-depth program to supplement their in-class experience. ✓ Fabulous appI've had this app for about 1 1/2 years now and have more than gotten my money's worth out of it. I used it to study for my pstar and now for my ppl. It is constantly updated to stay current. Rather than having to carry many books around, I can bring the app wherever I go and study from anywhere. Answers are explained very well. It's been very useful for tutoring me and very practical. I would absolutely strongly recommend this app. It's well worth the money. ✓ Excellent app to prepare for the Private PilotI used the PC version of this to prepare for my PSTAR and am now happy to see they've released an iOS version. I started using it yesterday to prepare for my Private Pilot theory papers. I scored a 100% on my PSTAR and am looking forward to good results on the Private too. There are a lot of good questions, the app runs smoothly, and the explanations are informative. There are a few small niggly issues in the app, but I contacted dauntless and they said they are aware of them and will fix them in an update soon. Nothing to seriously distract from a well deserved five star rating, though. This app will easily pay for itself in time saved..Version: 7.9

✓ Great toolIt's true you may find a couple incorrect questions/answers and, the interface could use a tweak, but over all this app is worth the money. I Scored 93% on the RPP written exam using this app as my primary study guide. Use the practice exams to find your weaknesses. Use this app's data base of explanations and other sources like TC AIM, Pilots Handbook, etc., to improve your knowledge in those areas. Once you can blow through the practice exams with scores in the 90's you should be able to ace the real thing. I look forward to using this app again in a couple years to prepare for the PPL..Version: 9.6.3

✓ Good questions and I like the "click here for explanation"This app is pretty straightforward, it just has a bunch of questions just like the ones in the exams (I don't know if they are actually the same, but they do feel like the same kind at least). When you get a wrong answer, usually there is a reasonable "click here for explanation" link that tells you about the subject so that you can understand what is the correct answer. It does not just give you the correct answer, but usually gives you the explanation as to why, which is very useful and usually avoid you having to go get a book and find the explanation for yourself. This explanation is in tiny characters on the iPod version, however, which makes it hard to read and requires you to put it in landscape so that you can read. It would be nice if when you choose an incorrect answer, it would stay on that screen so that you can read the text, instead of advancing to the next question automatically. Since this is a practice thing, advancing automatically makes sense when you get a correct answer, but when you answer wrong, then it makes sense that you would want to dwell on that question for a minute to understand what you need to know to answer correctly. The iPod and iPad versions are basically the same, no difference in layout or graphics as far as I can tell. I only use the quiz mode because I find the other modes are just head cramming and do not do much for me. Also, the "program updates check" funciton seems to work, but it does not let you know if you have the latest version before asking you to update, so that you are never entirely sure if you are downloading the update for nothing because you already had the latest version of the question database. Overall I have to give this app a 4 star because the questions are well written, do not have spelling and grammar mistakes, and basically it just works well for quizzing you..Version: 8.0
