✓ Very weakThis is just too simple to be of any value, and I’m not sure it’s even working as expected, because I’m not sure what the intention of this app even is.Version: 3.7
✓ I don't like itI don't like this at all. There is no information on notes prior to going to a keyboard with a note and you have to hunt around for the correct note. And there is no way to repeat the note and reinforce what you are trying to learn. If you are like me and completely new to music it is very frustrating. I would like some written instruction as to what the notes are before I start the hunt. I had to look up basic information on the Internet before any of this made any sense and switching back and forth between this app and the Internet is silly. It is a waste of time unless you already know music. It is not basic..Version: 1.8
✓ It works okIt's fine but it doesn't do ledger lines, which i hoped it would as I struggle with those in particular, but it's pretty cheap so i guess i can't complain much really. Certainly works but doesn't quite match what i'd like it to do, so I shall keep looking for a better app. Unless they add ledger lines into it!.Version: 2.0.5

✓ Not helpingMy kids are both learning instruments so I purchased this app to help them memorize the notes. They are 11 and 9. The app works great in theory, but if they guess a wrong note it doesn't make a noise to alert the user it is wrong. So what I am finding is my kids will just push all the notes as fast as they can until they hit the right one. I fell for this for a while, but now realize they weren't learning anything because they knew that it didn't matter if they missed the note. I would love an update that would allow this because I have had to purchase other apps in its place so I can just listen as my kids practice..Version: 3.6

✓ It's okIf you are brand new to music notes it might take awhile before you actually learn anything because as soon as you manage to find the correct key it jumps to another note without any reinforcement. So it's a guessing game at first. Not really a good way to learn and might be frustrating for some people new to music. It will be great for speeding up your ability to read notes but only AFTER you get a basic knowledge going so it won't be so trial and error oriented. It could be much better if it had a couple of levels of skill and start off actually teaching you notes before jumping into 'flash card mode.' Just sayin.'.Version: 2.0.0

✓ Almost PerfectionI absolutely love this little app. I have finally found the a almost perfect app to learn and practice notes the only thing i wish you would add is more notes up and down the trebble and the bass clefs. This alone prevents me for giving 5 big stars. If you ask more money for the update; I would be glad to pay extra..Version: 3.0

✓ Good but unprofesionalLayout is good. Covers basic notes on staff. As you become faster at reading notes the app loses it's challenge because it displays notes slow. 3 stars. Effort was put into it and it shows, it's a good app worth a dollar. Sadly it deserves 1 star because of the terrible unprofessional picture of his daughter at the beginning of this app!!! ✓ Good for quizzing yourself, not learningI'm very pleased with this app as a flashcard replacement. It's great for testing yourself. However, to learn the notes in the first place, it's not the best. The three testing modes currently available will show you the note on sheet music, (1) with blank piano keys, (2) with labeled piano keys, or (3) with a list of possible notes. Unfortunately, there is not a mode that shows the note correctly labeled from the outset. (Learning mode instead of testing mode.) It would be a valuable enhancement to be able to review the notes, correctly labeled, to learn them in the first place. Right now I'm having to guess and wait to stumble upon the correct answer, which is confusing. It's a solid app for quizzing yourself, though..Version: 1.5

✓ Plays note an octave lower than writtenThis is a great music flashcard app, I just wish the note it played whenever you tap the correct answer wasn't an octave lower than the note shown on the staff! ✓ USELESSIt's hard to believe the other reviews. I can't imagine how this helps anyone to recognize notes on sight. The lines, from the bottom up, are EGBDF, and the spaces are FACE, and it's more useful to memorize the positions of notes than to try to find the right answer by tapping every key until you hit it right. (And that much you can easily draw, yourself, and maximize time on the notes you're least sure of, too.).Version: 1.5

Pitch of notes is not accurate - eg if the note showing is 'C', and it's the C above middle C, the only 'answer' on the stave is to hit the 'middle C' - not helpful if trying to teach a child note reading. ✓ Music notesI’m disappointed with this app bc of the changes that was made from the previous app. The other app had a limit to the times before there was a score%. This is never ending and I can’t use it at my school or my music studio bc the kids need a reward or a frowning face for their efforts. The previous app was so great bc I could do team playing as well as individual scores and the band director where my kids went from my school complimented me for the learning of the notes I taught so he didn’t have to. ✓ Notes - Learn to read MusicThis app works but think it may cause frustration in those just starting out. For those who are already accomplished keyboarders this app would be of no benefit. It falls into a category of software to make kids busy at least until they get mad and throw the iPod or iPad out the car window and generally ruin their childhood. O/K maybe not quite that bad. It's not a complete keyboard and so is pretty restricted in what can be done with it. Save your money for a portable battery powered keyboard. A big step up..Version: 1.5
