Vibrate on silent neededIt would be great if the app can vibrate the phone after each inhale/hold/exhale (when in silent mode at work or wherever you don't need the sound).Version: 2.8.1

WonderfulI've struggled for years to develop the concentration necessary to meditate. This app has solved the problem. It has visual and audio cues to help you regulate your breathing, and can adjust it for several different breaths-per-minute rates, and of course for the desired session length. One thing I'd change: The graphic design/art/fonts are terrible. Pseudo-Buddhist/Asian exotica. Nothing about the meditation method is particularly Asian or Buddhist. So a cleaner, more neutral, more western look would be more appropriate and less distracting..Version: 2.8.1

Very goodNot the best looking app out there but a very good one nevertheless. Helped me changed my life around a few years ago. Like anything else meditation or pranayama related, however, you need to be regular with your practice. “you should meditate 20 min each day, unless you don’t have time, then you should do an hour.”.Version: 2.9.1

64-bit update requiredThis app is good and I use it everyday. But this app may stop working very soon once there is a new iOS update release. Currently it is 32-bit and needs to be updates to 64-bit. Easily earned a place on my homescreen 😊Has been valuable with aiding my daily breathing exercise prior to my vocal traning/recording sessions so far. I'm especially fond of the ability to keep track of completed excercises. I've also found this app to surprisingly help calmed and relaxed me much more effectively than any of the binaural wave apps I've been using too..Version: 2.2.2

The update anytime soon?So I really like the idea here, but I personally bought this app, and first thing I see upon opening is a message saying that this app may not work with my iOS, idk what that's about. Pranayama is a great breathing exercise an all I want is a sure fire app that will be reliable. So how about that update?.Version: 2.9.0

Game changerI originally heard about this app from Commander Mark Devine and the box breathing he teaches. It works great. With the full version of this app you can adjust the settings and label custom exercises. I set it to inhale 6 seconds; sustain (hold) 6 seconds; exhale 6 seconds; sustain 6 seconds. I labeled it “box breathing” and set the timer for 20 minutes as Devine suggests 5-20 minutes a day. It has a different tone for each portion of the cycle. As you get used to the different tones you can close your eyes and still stay on track with the cycle. I like to do this exercises sitting in the dark with my eyes closed. By now I know what part of the cycle I’m on based on the tone that it makes. I like to flip my phone upside down as the screen is really bright. (I suppose that would be my only suggestion to the developers is that you could turn the screen off while using this app.) After the 20 min of box breathing I follow up with a 15 min gratitude meditation from a different app. It is a bit time consuming but well worth the effort. It is a game changer when facing the day with clarity. Because I’m in a calm present state, over time it has significantly reduced anxiety and helped me connect and communicate with others. After I enjoyed the app for a while I explored it deeper and read all the suggestions for better breathing techniques. I have integrated these techniques into the “box breathing” with even better results. Thank you for this app!.Version: 2.9.1

A breath of fresh air!This is a great app to learn how to breathe properly, something we do well as babies, and poorly as we get older. You have to spend some time getting to know the app and the various ways of using it, but this reflects the variety of options the app provides. Plenty of choices to take you from the basics through to more complex breathing techniques. I've not had any of the problems other reviewers refer to, eg sound works perfectly well for me. I use it on an iPad. Please persist with the app exercises, you'll really notice the difference..Version: 2.9.0

Very good tool for relaxingI have found the pranayama exercises extremely helpful in relieving stress and promoting a relaxed focused state of mind. The app is not 100% perfect, however it is one of the most genuinely useful apps on my phone..Version: 2.9.0

Great app; minor upgrades neededThis app is great for teaching and guiding breathing for health. Pros: It has a ton of settings, so any level user can begin the app and work up to advanced breathing. There are 3 levels. Each level has 3 stages and each stage has 2 options for a total of 18 preset programs. Even better, these preset programs can be played for 5-60 minutes, your choice. You can also customize a program. The customization allows a lot of user control over the features: time, inhale length, exhale length, and hold lengths. It also allows you to set progressive increments of programs. I do this to build up to the advanced levels of breathing in a single session. There is also a lot of concise educational information right here in the app with links to more. Cons: I wish I could give it 4.75 stars because my con list is not worth a full star deduction. Here are the cons: 1. The app pauses if it is sent to the background. It needs to be able to run in the background. 2. It would be great if it could be programmed to open several times per day. 3. The tracking feature is off by one, so it tracks the wrong data. It also does not track 9 of the preset programs and it should. 4. There's no way to track customized sessions. This feature should be added, especially when the customized breathing programs follow the ratios from the standard preset programs. 5. There's no contact information in the help section..Version: 2.9.0

Really calming, easy to use, visualHi I really like this app. I know in our Western culture we don’t pay attention to our breathing and just take it for granted. However our breathing rates and methods can have a huge effect on how calm we feel and things like high blood pressure. I find that using this app for 10 to 15 minutes makes me feel really calm. Reduces stressI've used this app for a year at night to help me sleep and reduce stress. I couldn't be happier. My 6 year old son was having issues sleeping and was getting into trouble at school. New ChangesI've been using this app for quite a while now and love it. However, I'm no techno expert but it seems that with this new version has some major changes. The level I was practicing at is no longer an option - the inhale/exhale/retention ratios that are programmed are less than what I have been practicing at. So I created a custom practice but it does not register on the log of how many hours I have practiced. I wouldn't mind if it was on the free/lite version but this is the version I paid full $ for so it seems that now I'm getting a far inferior version for my $..Version: 2.8.1
