โ Still a โGo-Toโ in 2020Iโve been using both Photo Toaster (and their excellent text on photo app TitleFX) for over 7 years and when I came back to apple this year, it was one of my first downloaded apps. Iโm happy to see theyโve not messed with it too much and itโs still the phenomenal photo editor I remember! Updates are always welcome but they need to keep the three filter categories of Basic, Premium and Deluxe and keep every filter in it, as well as all their great frames and extra tweaking options. I am sure itโs due to Apple adjusting the process over time. But itโs broken this legacy software. My only suggestion is that it would be really useful to be able to resize the photo. As far as I can work out there is no way for the user to specify photo size. Or had a confusing interface while lacking the capabilities of Photo Toaster. In Photo Toaster, the contrast, saturation, color and exposure controls all work as expected. One can figure it out within minutes. Changes occur immediately and can be undone just as quickly. Despite owning more apps and programs than I need or should even have (Iโm a bit addicted to new and improved), I find myself returning to this one on a regular basis. โ STILL THE BEST!Since my 1st iPhone - before I even knew what Snapseed was - before I learned how to use any other photo app, I had the pleasure of using the Toaster. When I was a digital novice, it was easy to learn, yet produced results. Others have mentioned that it s good for beginners and also quick editing of good quality, and this is true. There may be apps better suited for professionals, but they are invariably unwieldy, time consuming, difficult for me to use. And I'm not stupid. The Toaster is perfect for my needs. I use it in combo with Snapseed and Photogene for most things. Upshot is - buy it! Actually, I have all the East Coast Pixel family apps, and am pleased to comply with their review request. I have been using this app for years and love how easy it is to use, how professional the presets make a photo look and how reliable the program is. The edited photos are saved at the same quality as the original meaning even printing large photos always look great. I highly recommend it to beginners although there is full manual adjustability available if you prefer it and each preset is fully adjustable too, which saves lots of editing time by starting with a professional preset and tweaking it to suit your composition. It does not clone or remove blemishes/ unwanted objects from your photos though, you need TouchRetouch app for that type of reliable quality edit. I find both apps together cover most of my editing needs. TouchRetouch also saves edited photos at original quality so you won't loose any quality working on a photo using both apps. So far app has worked faultlessly and is really easy to use. Very very recommendable. Okay, try the freebie if you must but, for how little it costs, just go for the full version. I do have one suggestion to the toaster guys - being able to select parts of the image for separate editing would make this already 5 star app even better. As soon as someone figures out a program that recognizes that an image has been enlarged and can fill in the missing pixels that would normally cause the image to look distorted. That program will get 5 stars from me. I don't understand why with all the tech out there these days, why am app such as this hasn't been created? Such an app could also be used as a focusing tool for images that are blurry or out of focus. But all in all the ECP is a very good application.....Version: 6.7.5

โ Handy and easy to useI love using this app on photographs. It is easy to use, and stores recent pictures so that you can return to finish the picture off at a later time. In particular I like the cropping tools, and the lightening/darkening spot brush. I tend not to use the filters or presets, but textured are fun and can change the mood of a picture completely. And you donโt have to join the Borg, either. PhotoToaster is good for freelancers, family photographers, and small business owners โ anyone who wants quality photos without frustration. There are shortcomings. (1) No access to images in the cloud (meaning you have to either paste them in or have them on your photo roll); (2) Frames arenโt adjustable; (3) The app allows you to mark up photos, but it isnโt clear how to change the markup color from the default screaming pink, or the stroke width; (4) The lighting (lightening?) brush needs work - because it doesnโt; (5) Feature descriptions need improvement..Version: 6.7.5

And unlike the Ps app, there is no lag, your changes occur as you work. This is my go to app, with TitleFx when I need captions or other graphics. It has many easy to use options, - and the ability to take a photo and make it as brilliant as your eyes saw it.
