✓ Been Reading the ODB for a Long TimeI started reading the ODB booklet since the early 90s and downloaded the app in 2014 which I really enjoyed. I understand that all apps must be updated, but come on did you really have to go and revamp the whole app. All of my daily devotional that were tracked throughout the years are now gone and you can’t get to the Bible translations on Bible Gateway anymore, unless I am just not seeing where to click. I am so disappointed in this app. I might as well just delete it and go back to reading the booklet. Now, I won’t stop sending you my donations as I’ve been sending it in for years but I will have to delete the app. I thank you for your time and God Bless..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Latest updateSad to say that this has been my go to app in the mornings to start my day off after prayer. The latest update removed my ability to see every days reading and if I missed a day to easily see the missing check mark and pick back up. It was easier to find passages and stories that were marked. The monthly download and setup was my preference. It’s more difficult to navigate this update to the point that I will probably just remove it. Thanks for the years it was helpful. Hopefully new subscribers will like this..Version: 4.0.1
✓ DisappointingI’ve been blessed by the messages form the ODB app for years, but recently the app has several bugs, making what’s supposed to be a solemn moment of the day a stressful one. ✓ Updated versions frequently break the appThe app is fine when it works, but when there are app version updates, these often break the app entirely (app won’t even launch/crashes immediately, or opens but does not load readings etc). Further, version updates do not seem to remember your bookmarks, which is a terrible shame - meaning that anyone who ha bookmarked an encouraging reading to go back to later, loses their entire history of such bookmarks..Version: 4.0.1
✓ Works well for a new appI have not experienced issues on iPhone as others seem to - it downloads content so if using wifi I think it will be ok. I love Our Daily Bread literature and it is a blessing to see this as an iPhone app and will be great for family worship. There is room for improvement but it's a good start. ✓ Need to re-install app to make it sort of work…Great app with great content until it crashed after the last update this week. I ended up uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I now have the ability to at least see something. Calendar won’t work, however, and it does not open on today. We love it as our “thought for the day” After a bout of covid we were really pleased to get the App and just listen. When we recently discovered the new App gave you the language choice, we opted for UK English…. after all It’s our language It’s AWFUL !! lovely of you to want to include all local accents but hey, you can’t understand what they’re saying, the diction is terrible. Please, please give us decent English that we can all understand. I actually preferred our American cousins to this! ✓ Crash loadingODB is a useful app but occasionally crashes while it loads. The only way to restore it is to delete it entirely and reinstall, causing you to lose all your settings. It's been buggy far too long. Please fix this issue permanently..Version: 4.0.5

✓ Can’t find my Journal entriesI’ve just this hour downloaded the app at the recommendation of my best friend. I already get the devotional thru my church. I decided to make Journal entries for June 26 and June 29. They disappeared. They just aren’t there. Additionally, I went ( on what the site called “the new site”) to pull up today’s devotional ( August 22) to read and it immediately pulled up Aug 14. I tried the “Listen” and it went to the correct one. I went on to the menu in the upper left hand corner to try to get to the devotions that way and when I hit June 26, it went to August 14. Seems you have many bugs to work out; I’m just one person. I’ll delete the app for now and try again at a later date in hopes that these items have been corrected..Version: 3.3.1
✓ Can no longer share with the appI love the daily inspiration and many times I like to share with our prayer/study group. Of late I cannot share the daily message. When I try to share, it sends an old message. ✓ ODB App VoiceOver Accessibility IssueThis is not the first time I have written about this issue. However, even after 2 updates in the last three days, this issue still has not been resolved. I am a blind user who relies on VoiceOver to access information on my iPhone SE-2022. When I try to access the PLAY button on Our Daily Bread to listen to the day's topic, the button is blocked beneath the photo frame, and it does not identify (see screenshot, photo frame is highlighted, and PLAY is obstructed). This means that this app is completely inaccessible to VoiceOver users unless a sighted person is there to help access it. When my husband turns VoiceOver off, he then can easily navigate to the play button and we can listen to the reading together. However if he is not available, neither is the app. Please grab the nearest iPhone, turn on VoiceOver Accessibility, put a blindfold on, and try navigating your app using your ears instead of your eyes. I would expect that a Christian organization would take the needs of the disabled and senior community into account rather than continuing to put out app updates that do not work. Realize everyone that updated to the new version was also experiencing the same thing! Wrote a review and the developers advised to delete the app. Once that was done the app worked. Now as of April 1, 2021 the app is blank for today’s reading, and when you click on the month it opens and the spinning wheel just continues to spin like it’s trying to open! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! ✓ Newest updateMy girls and I read ODB each morning and have really enjoyed it. I love that i can share it with people and easily go back and reread or read ones we’ve missed. This morning i could not get the app to open and saw that it had done an Update. I had to delete the app and reinstall it to get it to work. I will say that we are not too thrilled about this latest updates format/layout and find that the layout they had previously was much more user friendly when it came to finding and accessing what you are looking for. In fact, it is not even accurate as yesterday I opened the App to read the devotional, then closed it and reopened it a few minutes later, only to be informed that I had "missed a few days"! ✓ Too many glitchesThis app worked wonderfully until the last upgrade. It often won’t open, just pops up and disappears. Now moving back or forward to different days just doesn’t work. It jumps ahead or won’t move at all and the placement of how to move to different days is not straightforward like before. Too many steps to do what was done seamlessly and simple before.
