Total Film Magazine for Positive User Reviews

GreatNice app and great reading!!.Version: 3.7.2

Total filmNo issues at all, great magazine great app.Version: 5.6.3

IdiotsIf you people could actually read the description, rather than just look at the pretty colours, you'd see that they explain in perfectly straightforward and legitimate English, the prices for one off issues, 6 months and yearly subscriptions. They were even kind enough to include 3 different currencies. A good app all round in my opinion.Version: 1.0

AmazingIt is great to have an amazing magazine like this in a portable digital format.Version: 3.8.1

A great magazineThis is a must-read for all movie fans. I read Total Film regularly to keep up to date and amused by the writers' work. They've missed a perfect score by one star... only because you can't zoom the text and some of the narrow text columns are "fiddly" to read for us with less than perfect eyesight. Otherwise perfect..Version: 3.8.1

Great new iPad versionI have always liked the magazine and have had a subscription for a while. The old version of the app was very basic and you spent most of the time moving around each page and zooming in and out. This new version is now a proper interractive iPad app and it's brilliant - such an improvement. This is now approaching a perfect implementation of a magazine app and it just enhances what was already great content..Version: 1.9.3

GREATGreat Magazine !!!!.Version: 3.4.4

Movies!!!Love this mag! It has everything I want to know!.Version: 3.7.2

I like it :)It's a great app and a great way of reading total film. However... I have found a few issues where my subscription was not recognised, but this happened circa twice in the last 14 months. This was resolved by deleting and reinstalling the app, which was a bit of a pain and having to re-download issues, but if you take into account the price of subscription and my enjoyment when reading total film on my apple devices, this was a minor irritant. I strongly recommend this.Version: 3.6

The way it should beEnjoyable and easy to read, slideshows and trailers add to the enjoyment. I have been reading Empire's iPad edition but now that my preferred movie mag is in this format I will be switching to it. This is one of the reasons I bought my iPad. I hope this is the beginning of Future Publishing's move to releasing more of their magazines in an interactive, designed for tablet format. I am not a fan of the scanned, zoom to read magazines..Version: 1.9.3

Duh?!Gadlaw and your mom is crazy.. You two are stupid. Of course content is not free. You really think publishers are just going to give out their stuff for free. It's a "reader" app where you can subscribe inside and read issues and is the only way to subscribe. FYI all magazines in Newsstand are reader/shell apps and are all free..Version: 1.0

Great use of iPadNice stuff. Great to see a magazine that is actually working and thinking hard when it comes to iPad issues. A great experience with added features and content over the paper version. If only more magazines would hurry up and follow suit. Recommended..Version: 1.9.3

Needs landscape modeGreat content! Add landscape mode and I'd def give it a 5..Version: 3.4.2

Good app, imbecilic reviews. How can anybody assume the magazine content will be free when the physical copy isn't? The mistake is on your part, not the app's. Don't submit scathing reviews that reveal your own stupidity. The actual price for a copy that needs no printing or distribution is, however, up for debate..Version: 1.0

FantasticThis app really stands out amongst the other magazines I have looked at. I only got my iPad yesterday but have spent a lot of time looking through the newsstand to see how the magazines work and this one seems to have been made specifically for the medium. There are inbuilt trailers, vibrant photos and lovely little touches as articles load up. It's easy to navigate and a joy to read - and it's only £1.99! There are a few free issues so download one and see for yourself!.Version: 2.2.5

Cannot download new editionsI purchased a years subscription. Downloaded first two editions. Now it will not let me download any further editions without paying. I have tried to contact provider and I have reinstalled with no joy. Been a traditional paper mag Total Film fan for years. I am not happy. Do not normally complain through the review section. However I appear to have no other way of getting in touch. Please fix this problem as the interactive mags on the IPad are brilliant and Total Film is a great film magazine. 3 stars in the hope of a fix. It would be 5 if I could download my May edition..Version: 3.1.6

Delight to use and readThis app loads and reads extremely reliably. Also it is very innovative in its design and layout. A lot of work must go into all of the facts, reviews, analysis and humour packed into each week. I like the way each page is cleverly designed with hidden pop ups, pull outs, drop downs etc. with further information on the article and subject..Version: 3.8.1

Its greatGood deal. great to have it on the ipad to read anytime. :).Version: 1.2

My first digital subscriptionI signed up for this a couple of years ago for going on holiday, with The intention of cancelling after a couple of months. However it's actually a really cool app, and half The price of the magazine. The only issue I had was that issues were about 500mb - they've now sorted these so that they less than 100mb which means I'm now using it my phone as well as iPad as I have the space!.Version: 4.2.9

Movie Buffs DelightA great app with interesting ways to navigate through the pages just to keep you on the edge. The addition of movie trailers is brilliant..Version: 3.6

Magazine 2.0Digital distribution isn't a new concept yet many companies have failed to fully embrace it and offer something different. In a world where news is instant, one has to ask if magazines even have a place anymore. Total Film are definitely trying to buck that trend with the new fully interactive version of their magazine. I would have begrudged paying almost the same price as the paper version, if it was just a flat digital clone but this is something else. The visuals are sharp, there are cool little animations and trailers are just a touch away. Another massive bonus is the fact this version of Total Film is completely ad free. Most magazines are packed full of targeted adverts but this blissfully puts a big read line through that paradigm and leaves the reader free to enjoy the interviews, reviews and features. I hope that is something which remains the norm. Well worth a look and I hope many other magazines get this treatment. I will add that I recently met two marketeers from Future at Kapow Comic Con and was dared to try the app and leave a review. I honestly thought I would be writing something leaning towards a feeling of disappointment but I was happily proven wrong. Kudos to you Sam (I'm sure that was your name), great work..Version: 2.0

What is there not to like?Total Film...you rock. Please keep doing that thing that you do. Nuff said.👍.Version: 5.0.1

Good appNot sure why other reviews are negative as so far the app works and is nice. It could do with some user improvements to make the experience better but on the whole good value..Version: 3.8.1

Great informationThis magazine has all you would want/need to know about any and all films in/coming out to theaters..Version: 3.8.1

Very good, and only £13 a yearLove it! I was expecting it to be a magazine page shown on the screen but it's actually designed for the iPad (or iPhone or whatever) with little animations and the likes. Also looked at Empire which is £30 a year, don't know if it's a better magazine or not but I'm very happy with Total Film....Version: 2.2.5

BrilliantI don't normally read Total Film nor write app reviews, but I got the latest edition to check Future's "FutureFolio" magazine suite, and my my was I blown away! Super-slick, brilliant formatting of the magazine that works perfectly on the new iPad. It's much better than the Adobe Suite that most big magazines use (eg Wired, National Geographic). It would be brilliant if Future use this software to update their gaming magazines (PC Gamer, Edge, GamesMaster and so on!), rather than their current scanned-magazine versions. Superb..Version: 1.9.3

29 versus 7.99 what more do you need to know!?I have always been a fan of Total Film but did not want to pay around thirty bucks for the latest issue nor did I want to pay twelve for an issue that was two months old. Now you do not have to do either buy it through your dirty old iPad for around eight bucks before it even hits the New Zealand newsstands ... Easy I love movies and I love my Film news and reviews other than the intellectual heights of Sight and Sound it does not get better that this..Version: 1.6

AwesomeI this digital download is fabulous however like the last writer to many ad's, I know the bills has to payed. I started downloading magazines because your paying $5 to $6 for a magazine full of ad's, haven't that said Total Films is a one of kind magazine. Love the articles & interviews along a few sneak peaks. Thank you & keep up the great work.Version: 3.6.5

Great for movie lovers!I used to read EW but they updated their app and it won't let you read the mag and when I called to tell them, they had no solution. BUT, in the process, discovered Total Film, waaaay better than EW!.Version: 3.7.2

Love itJust like a mag but cheaper and in my iphone.Version: 1.2

Fixing subscription problems...If anyone is having problems accessing issues that you've already paid for then try this... - Go to the App Store and make sure you've updated the app to the latest version - In the app, go to the Help section (there's a "Help" button in the bottom right corner) - Click "Restore Purchases" in the top right Worked for me! And well worth it too - great mag! :).Version: 3.4.4

AwesomeNot sure why this is scoring so low as it works fine for me. Bargain price if you subscribe monthly, interactive ness is good and can delete and reload previous issues as your memory dictates. A little tip if you are having trouble once subscribed: delete the app and reboot device as this has solved an issue for me..Version: 3.4.4

Great!Huge improvement over their old one, which was, let's face it, a bloody rip-off. Mags that simply put a (sometimes pretty unreadable) pdf out thinking that will do should be ashamed of themselves. Titles that rethink the magazine for this new tablet medium (essential) should be commended!.Version: 2.0.2

At your fingertipsTotal Film has always been one of the best film magazines and now it will reach even more people with this iPad app. True, it lacks the interactivity of the Empire app (also superb, BTW), but it is £1 cheaper than the printed mag. However you like your Total Film, you now have a choice. Have to say I'm thrilled with the Newsstand app and eagerly await more additions..Version: 1.0

Full RateHi . Not only this 5 stars but also the all stars we can see in the sky , will go to your rate.Version: 2.1

My favorite magazineUPDATE: just downloaded the new version optimized for the retina display. WOW. I'm liking this new format!!! the font size can be adjusted now, the pictures look much better!!! haven't had much time to actually read it to test out other new features but so far, I'm happy. Now, as soon as Newsstand downloads automatically, I'm changing this to 5 stars!!! I am very happy that my fav magazine is finally on iPad!!! And since I live in the US, this is waaaay cheaper than my old paper subscription! Only thing, and maybe it's me, but newsstand is not automatically downloading the new issue for me. I get a notification from TF that a new issue is out but I needed to go to the app and download it myself...same as MacLife which I think is the same parent company as TF. I will change it to 5 stars when it does download like its supposed to, cuz the magazine is just great, no complains. Just tiny technical issue..Version: 1.9.3
