✗ Maxim Magazine, buy the print edition.The magazine itself takes quite some time to download. The April issue file size was 232mb and on my 100mbps connection, it still took 10 minutes to download, at the third attempt that is. I have had this magazine freeze twice while downloading. Removing and installing the app is the only way to get the download moving, from the start again. This is the US version of the magazine and probably worth £1.49 an issue but not a penny more. The magazine text on the new iPad (3rd gen) is very pixelated, though the photos appear crisp enough. The file size is larger than other magazines of similar page count, and as said the text and pictures are of lower quality, especially when compared to a magazine like Total Film. I could walk drive to my local shop, buy the magazine and return home before this downloaded and for this reason I would recommend buying the print issue, especially if you have a tight Data plan..Version: 3.1
