Only thing that would be nice is an option to rotate the video or all the snap shots in case you need to. I made a time lapse where I put the camera horizontally but the camera thought it was vertically shot an I had to use iMovie to rotate the exported movie from O'Snap to make it the correct orientation. ✓ The best timelapse app for iPhone.I have tried seven timelapse apps and tested them side by side and this outperforms them all. For some reason it's export compression is the best and looks great and the full manual controls are great. Only wish the menu was viewable in landscape as currently only works in portrait which is not what you are likely to record your timelapse in. It works very well! Very happy with it. I've done a few tests with it at 3 seconds per frame and they've turned out great. Done some quick tests with it at quicker intervals, too, and for the most part it works pretty well. ✓ Fun diverse app for amateur to pro with great serviceGreat app for both the amateur and pro to turn any iOS device (with a camera and compatible iOS version) into a time lapse machine. I really like this cause I've got a few devices so I can capture different angles of the same event. My favorite part is that you can capture images at your devices max resolution and export them to your computer to post process the sequence. One thing that makes this app different is that it takes individual snapshots and sows them together later into a video which allows the device to capture for longer consecutive periods than say Hyperlapse would. But the in-app purchase ability to unlock importing photos from your albums makes this app absolutely fantastic! ✓ Surprising depthI spent a long weekend with this badboy and it kept revealing cool features. It's set up in a super-practical way, so that it kind of trained me to find nice little options all over the place (starting with the presets). Onion-skinning! Didn't even know what that was. The lite version basically has everything except export video, which makes total sense- you get to play with all the features. I shot time lapses of sunsets (I recommend intervals of over 2 or 3 sec.), nature walks, friends participating in illicit activities (easy to edit out specific frames...), etc. Made an awesome video when I added sound from my iPod tunes. My kids and I made some incredible stop-motion videos today with a table-top tripod (with a Glif Plus iPhone bracket), one with my daughter walking (step by step) toward the camera in her shoes, then her moving out of the shoes and us then moving the shoes along step-by-step. However why do you - the developer, insist on additional in app purchases to unlock the new features you add? It makes me - the end user, feel a bit cheated. If all the features were included in the purchase price I would have given it 5 stars. ✓ Great appThis app is really neat! It's just like the old pencil-test machine I used to use for animation. But better of course! U can go into the frame sequence and delete frames individually. My one suggestion would be to have all the frames appear on one page, because sometimes u need to quickly go back and watch the movie to tell which frames need to be deleted. As it is now, there are pages which show, for example, frames #1-60. And u have to click to get to the next set in the sequence even tho they are all in the same movie. What you can do with OSnap that you can't do with iOS Timelapse is set frame rate and add, remove, or reorder frames. However it is too basic. iLapse does allow to set the orientation in landscape and unfortunately the default prevents the iPhone to be on its side due to the volume control buttons... ✓ Very pleased.I purchased this app before traveling to meet several friends. Our mission was to finish the restoration of a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda before it's owner died of terminal liver cancer. I knew there would be several of us pouring over the car like ants, and I also knew that other friends who couldn't make it would like to see the process unfold. Time-elapse photography seemed like a perfect idea. OhSnap made it happen. I propped my iPad on a bar stool, plugged in the charger and let it go. It ran all day for 2 days straight. I had plenty of battery (with the charge helping) and it didn't even consume a ton of memory as I had feared, even using max-res settings. Everyone was stunned at the resulting videos, and it made his family very happy to watch afterwards. Unfortunately, our friend passed away before the first photo was snapped. You need to export the images to camera role, if the phone storage is low, this will fail. It does not allow listening to music while the app is running. I prefer to piece my movies together on my computer, so I transfer the photos to VirtualDubMod on the PC. I use hi res photos to make my movies this way. Plus, if you run out of space on your iPhone, this is the only way to generate your video. You do NOT need to be jailbroken to do this by the way. For fun: Stand your phone on a wall timer - the kind that spin slowly, and record a panning timelapse that spans several hours. Neat stuff!
