✓ Let Down.I had this game when it came to my attention many years ago, and I loved the simplicity of it. But I was let down by the constant glitching and the fact that it seemed impossible to win a jackpot when playing with special gems. So I gave up and deleted the game. Many years later an ad popped up for bejewelled blitz so I thought I’d download it and give it another go. It looks great with new additions & challenges, but STILL it’s impossible to win a jackpot even after hitting the same square time after time. ✓ Fun game but many flawsSo i want to start off by saying i love this game, but there are a couple things that highly annoy me. the first one is when i use a rare gem, i never get the grand prize. ive used hundred and hundreds of rare gems, and i have NEVER won the grand prize. and i always choose the same spot when i get the option to choose my prize, so i know its not just bad luck, the gem has to go in the middle sometimes. im not saying i expect to win every once in 9 times, but every once in awhile would be good. second, this happens more than you would expect, but if i am playing a game, specifically in blitz champions, and the game crashes or i accidentally click out of the game, or even pause it for too long, when i re-open the game, it takes away my coins that i used, or the gem from my item box since i “used it” but it never saves my score, or gems destroyed, etc. so i have to either spend more coins/gems to get another score, or if i dont have enough coins and dont want to spend money to get more, then i cant redo my score and just have to deal with losing 100,000+ coins or a gem. other than these, its actually a really fun and addicting game, and if these issues could get fixed, it would make the game so much better.GejdbbVersion: 2.23.0

The game itself seems to work slightly slower than when it was integrated to Bejeweled. After all the years I have enjoyed Bejeweled Blitz it’s now time to delete this game which has joined the masses in trying to access your personal information by wanting to access your social media and bombard you with advertisements and promotions that nobody has any interest in whatsoever. I’m disappointed. I’ve enjoyed being able to enjoy this game without having to put up with this kind of rubbish in Bejeweled Blitz until today. ✓ Gold Bars Requirement in Blitz Quest is too highThe quest levels are a lot of fun but the requirement on some to “Earn Gold Bars from Blitz Championship Games” is unachievable. it is nearly impossible to earn 250 gold bars from blitz championship games if you only offer one a day and you are ranked upon score as to how many you earn. Most people will never get 250 because those with max boosts win the bars. And that eliminates the other Quests they are able to complete after that one. I have played your games for years EVERY DAY and I have always enjoyed it but this new situation is frustrating. I will say when you updated to add the challenges and the newer daily spins it’s much better. And spin rewards like 10,000 gold coins don’t do much when the smallest thing you can buy with coins on this app is 5 seconds on game time and it’s 25,000. I love the rest of this game, But.. the one time I choose a different prize tile at the end of the game (when u have boosters playing), the 500,000 coin prize was on the tile I picked 1000s of times!! ✓ Why the Owl?Playing the Blitz Championship game today and the owl showed up on bottom of screen over my boosts. I couldn’t use them for a few seconds. In these games a few seconds is the difference between winning and loosing. I only had 30 seconds to play and if I’m not able to use boost for 3 or 4 seconds then what’s the point. Do you not want us to win. Or even compete with each other. I won’t even complain about the freezing up and loosing boost coins and upgrades. Just why? I thought it was a fluke so I let it go. What the game makers have done is completely taken what was a beautifully simple, quick, intuitive FUN game and destroy everything that was good about it. The new layout is far too manic and unintuitive. The whole thing runs slower. FAR too many power ups that, when activated, basically just blow everything up far too fast for you to react fast enough. The responsiveness to the touch screen is horrendous. Way to many cut scene animations that detract from what was a quick and easy to get into game. They offer a special but after you agree to purchase it for one price, they charge you full price. They also have a new thing if you play it on your computer. A pop up asks you to purchase coins in a slick little way that you just click yes to get it out of the way, until you realize that it just charged you money for coins. I've contacted the makers of the game and they referred me back to I-tunes. It is next to impossible to contact them for any reason. It seems to me that the maker of the game has responsibility to make sure that we are charged the correct amount without getting ripped off, but they play the innocent victim. You are forcing gamers into spending money for coins, gold, etc. I myself won’t spend anything on a free game so I will not do so. You have to play the game INCREDIBLY hard in order to achieve upgrades and rewards. If you wish to increase the ratings and gain a better user base please reintroduce the following; - Coins after each game provide at least 50k for x5 score multiplier. Also there was an ad that lasted like 107 and that really took a long time to get past. Way to long end I ended up quitting playing the game. I have been denied the opportunity to complete all of the sections of the Blitz Quest on more than one occasion only because I was not offered enough Free Chests to complete the number required. On the Quest that is ending tonight, 5 are required. I have been stuck at 3 since 8/24. I have opened the app several times throughout the day, but none have been available. I was always ranking well and earning jackpots and lots of rare gems and prizes when I stopped playing. Just downloaded it again a couple weeks ago. Like finding an old friend ... AT FIRST. When I win the daily challenge, half the time (like just now) I don’t get the rare gem even though it says I qualified (cat lights up and meows on far right). I select BANK IT, but it is NOT added. You have to pay pay pay to play with gems, which you need for all the contests, and the good gems are $100K plus - why aren’t they given to you as they used to be, for loyal (paying) strong players??? I can go to Vegas, I don’t need it to be in my phone, too. ✓ Getting disappointedI have played Bejeweled for almost 10 years and spent a fair amount on coins and boosts. Now the experience is getting more and more disappointing. Complaints: 1. I have never ever struck the jackpot “choosing” the prize in the hundreds, no, thousands of games I’ve played. It feels like that part of the game is just plain rigged to get you to buy more coins by dangling a non-existent carrot in front of the player. 2. ✓ Micro transaction garbageI haven’t played this game in a while and decided to come back to it. Boy, was that ever a mistake. You can’t go a single game without being bombarded with full page banners insisting that you spend coins or buy in-game currency of some type. And there’s multiple types of currency (more reasons to spend money, of course). The worst part about it is they send you straight to the payment screen if you touch literally anywhere on the banner but the tiny little [x] up in the corner. But even that isn’t the worst of it. I could forgive all of that if they hadn’t fundamentally changed the mechanics of the game itself. Scores are now heavily inflated compared to what they were 10 years ago due to pay-to-win garbage. “Spend a whole ton of coins to get a special boost with some hastily-made visual effects that makes it so you barely have to be good at the game to get a massive score.” This used to be a fun, competitive, skill-based game. Now it’s a prime example of the worst that mobile gaming has to offer. It’s a shame, really. PopCap used to be a power house of fun little games. ✓ It’s okay I guessThe game isn’t bad it is actually quite enjoyable most the time but some of my biggest criticisms have to be that there are many pop up adds which I get that the game is free and the have to make money somehow but during the middle of a game I have gotten adds and it gets really annoying after a while another one I have is that the game is very glitchy and freezes often or the app shuts down. ✓ Game is rigged and overloaded with advertsPity, it’s a good game and used to be very enjoyable but the format has changed. Firstly, there’s a compulsory “30” sec ad after every one minute level. Those “30” sec ads are normally about 50 secs by the time the ad finishes and you then wait for an option to close the ad. Secondly, the game is rigged to make it impossible to win the coin jackpot. There are 9 squares to choose from with 1of them containing the jackpot. I have tested this and played over 2000 times and never once won the jackpot even though you’re led to believe that you’ll win it one in nine times on average. When playing Blitz Championships, sometimes the game freezes where nothing you do works, can’t resume, time left stays the same. You have to exit game completely and start it up again, thus loosing the 10 or 15 second booster you paid for (points not lost). The next thing that has started to happen in the last few weeks, when you pay 6400 gold bars for daily spin, when you use up the 22nd spin, you would normally get a fresh new screen where hopefully you would get a good spin. This new version is slow i.e. Sluggish and what's with the annoying glittery jewels that distract from the game? However, regardless of whether or not I like all the new features my biggest gripe is that the game seems to be so slow now. ✓ Mostly fun.This is a nice game to play against friends and letting you try to best each other’s scores for a week is sweet. The mini games against strangers for coins, shards, etc. are nice to. If I am more than halfway to the score needed to get the coins and gem, with more than 30 seconds to go, the game is going to crash and kick me out to my phone’s home screen. When you play a rare gem at the end you get a board with an apparent “1 in 9” chance to get a high prize. So I tested it. I played 100 rare gems and each time I clicked the same spot. In a completely fair game the prize should have landed in that spot about 11 times. Nope, 0 times. So that theoretical 11% chance you might expect from a 1 in 9 choice game is actually less than a 1% chance. I’m confident that anything luck based in this game will be rigged. So the good news is this. I haven’t spent anything on this game, nada, nothing. Have I watched the same ad over and over? Yes but usually I just put the phone down for 15 seconds and actually interact with the world or stare out a window. There’s no *need* to spend money. The base game mode with no special gems is always free so there’s no pay walls to hop if you just want to play. In fact, with the luck based bs I mentioned above I’d avoid spending money. ✓ Just awfulIn the middle of a match I decided a power up wasn’t working, so I paused the game and selected to go to the main menu. Now because I was wearing headphones I had the in-game volume turned way down. Instead of taking me to the menu however, a video/audio commercial was played where a man yelled “NEED CASH TODAYYY??!!!!” at the absolute full volume of my device. Now why a commercial would play when I attempted to go to the menu is one thing, but why such an aggressively loud commercial played when every other one that had played had a completely normal volume, is an absolute failure of the developer to produce quality and to respect their players. I understand that these commercials aren’t produced by the developers in anyway, however this isn’t just some random company, this is popcap, and I expected better from a company that used to care about its products and its customers. Also the prices they ask for things as in app purchases are utterly ridiculous to the point of absurdity, and they use a completely convoluted system to make things confusing and get you to spend more money. ✓ Super Encore spoils the game!I love this game and play it a lot, but the new Super Encore is spoiling my enjoyment. In the championship levels it has always been necessary to use the Encore costing 25k of coins if you wish to have any chance of getting a competitive score. The new Super Encore costs 200 shards and you get 5 seconds more than the usual Encore. 5 seconds can make a big difference to the final score. This makes using the usual Encore pointless. I will not use 200 shards for this as they are always needed for upgrades. So, this means that there will be no point entering the championship games in future. This issue needs to be corrected before I get so annoyed and delete the game! There is also the occasional issue of the game crashing on my iPad. ✓ Dark patterns, rigged odds, BUGSThis game is full of dark patterns - pop ups and the like which try to get accidental clicks for the publisher's financial benefit. That is shady as it is. Worse, it sells "spins" and the like for real money, yet does not publish odds like any other fixed odds betting terminal must. While it's fun, the greed of the publishers really calls for an investigation by the DCMS, which regulates FOBTs (which this game effectively turns your device into) since the margins well exceed the 5% threshold. The publisher should also be honest and transparent about the bonus odds after completing a special gem round. Otherwise, fun game. Too bad about the publisher's bad ethics. Maybe find an alternative where the publisher isn't out to cheat the players. ✓ Deceptive tactics to make you frustrated and pay in gameI’m a pretty good bejeweled player in that I score in the 50 million plus each week. What’s frustrating is every weekly spin and every ‘random’ post rare gem game you can never win the major prize. I tested by clicking the middle icon for over 150 games and not once did I hit the jackpot. For odds that’s are supposed to be 1/9 that’s just a poor user experience. It’s really frustrating that the multiplier you’re supposed to get after destroying a certain amount of gems and allowing the board to settle doesn’t come. I’ve recorded my gameplay and tried to figure out why I don’t get the multipliers but there isn’t any reason unless it’s a bug. The new version also changed the objectives of the events as you play. You’re never certain how you can received the reward and just keeps you in game hoping to push you to buy. Like all these game apps they prefer you purchase extras, but fun regardless, most of the time, without purchases. Last night I decided it was time to walk. Why? As I said I haven’t spent a dime. All the powerful boosts are unlocked for me. Got enough coins and gems to last for days. Playing Blitz Champions matches now are no challenge. Last night I beat the 2nd place player in Gold Masters and Mystery Monday by nearly 300,000 each. Where’s the challenge? A new player clearly (if dedicated) would need to spend money or slowly grind out gold to unlock chests (for coins, shards and diamonds). Maybe the developers could have a veteran league, so they aren’t up against the new players. If you want a 3 match game (with annoying adds at times) this may be for you. If you want to succeed and progress in the game be prepared for a long, long grind or spend money. Last I apologize to newer players that walked away after seeing the unfair advantage an established player has. Note. I never hit the grand prize after playing a boost. 2 years plus playing and not once. You get to pick one of nine chances to earn this, each with different payouts. But now the game has become tedious and unfriendly due to all the unresolved app issues.. Earlier Today, I lost 2 diamonds, 3,513 chards, 3,280 gold bars, 6,197,226 coins and #1 spit on the LEADERSHIP BOARD w/ a high score of 16,400,300 due to the TASKS/challenges working improperly. These are some of the same issues from 6yrs ago as stated in Bejewels rating and review data. Ridiculous! I also have a few concerns, such as the cost to buy ADDITIONAL spins, chests rare gems etc.....they are waaayy too expensive particularly for people who are on a fixed income like the disabled, or children, or college students or just your average hard working citizen who maybe working pay check to paycheck.
