✓ Ruined a great app with intolerable ads, forecasts now inaccurateI’ve had this weather app for years and it’s been super accurate. We affectionately called it my voodoo weather app because it was so good! Now, the ads are extremely hard to deal with, and I’m sad to say that the accuracy is gone. No one wants to check their weather app first thing in the morning and wake up to an intrusive pop-up ad that engulfs your entire screen in a bright white light! To top it off, the “X” to close out the screen rapidly moves from one corner to the other, so you effectively get to play a video game the moment you wake up—almost like they’re trying to trick you into clicking on the ad. No one in their right mind would click on one of these invasive, garbage ads. Thanks Weather Network. Next, they added the endless Temu ads for ridiculous t-shirts and “clothing” at “90% off”, modeled by scantily clad individuals. Great job, Weather Network. I get it, they had to rebuild their app after being “hacked”. I’m sure that had nothing with the endlessly-running Chinese ads. But once the app was up and running again, it was never the same. It seems they are guessing and/or copying/pasting multiple hours/days’ forecasts. Too bad, it used to be a solidly reliable app. RIP Weather Network..Version: 5.83.0

I want to check the weather, and sometimes check the news in weather, and doing so with this app is a nightmare. You open the app, there’s a big ad the size of the screen before it opens. Then you see the weather, scroll down, there’s the news. Which if you try to watch a video, it’s going to show you a 30 second add first that you can’t even skip. Then underneath the news, there’s another ad. Then under hourly weather, there’s another ad. Then under 14 day forecast, there’s another ad. ✓ How could forecasting be so wrong??I have recently moved to canada and everyone here told me that this app is sooooo good, however I have found over the past 3 years of using this app that it cannot even tell me the correct temperature and cloud cover at the current moment, let alone tomorrow’s. i’ve been taking screenshots to confirm that their forecasts are not accurate for 24 hours let alone 5 days. their “radar” loop is a joke. when you play a loop into the future their loop just holds the last radar image and moves it over map in the direction it was last traveling without being affected by microclimates, loss of moisture, terrain and downstream systems like the NOAA radar does. it’s literally the south park animation equivalent of weather..Version: 5.64.1
✓ Potential Malware AdsI’ve used this app for years, just recently they started hosting ads that auto open safari that lock up your screen & force interaction with a “Restore” “Cancel” app just called “TV”. Anytime something like that pops up it’s usually malware, I sent in a report but I’m also deleting this app because I can no longer trust it not to be a malware host just so they can make a few pennies or try to force me into an ad free subscription. ✓ Ad Take-overs!... ❌While I'm generally not against the occasional sensible small advertisement of someone local to make a name for themselves, this app takes real advantage of a loyal customer who now is plagued with whole page, unknown origin spam pop-up ads that are crying Click bait & I'm not even sure your app has been hacked by its own virus of some kind. I wouldn't even allow this quantity of inappropriate spam anywhere near my phone or laptop without first installing a good & reputable anti-virus spyware or firewall. Your app is risking us to install unknown trojan viruses & risk security as we unintentionally click on these unknown, unchecked sites, which I'm sure your third party app do no such things to provide us with that proper & safe gateway. Install ad-free sites like Apple Weather or even WeatherCan, who will guarantee us simple, accurate weather & timely warnings from Environment Canada without dangerous unknown ads that can potentially compromise our phones & IOS software. Mandating customers to subscribe with money to remove these dangerous ads are further fleecing their audience out of their hard earned money & long term trust in wanting to simply find out their basic weather every day. ✓ LocationI was forced to remove my old app for WEATHER NETWORK because it suddenly denied my user / password (either or both) I downloaded the latest version bot had difficulty entering my location but eventually got it. I then was totally unable to enter locations to hold in memory to view other places such as my summer home. I did, with difficulty, find it possible to enter a new location—only in place of the initial location. It appears the site wants to do locations automatically ONLY THIS WAS NEVER A PROBLEM WITH THE OLD VERSION I WAS FORCED FROM! As of now, I have them all deleted from my 3 devices. This makes you scroll for no benefit… except to fit in more ads! And then there’s the full-screen-takeover ads that hijack the screen all of a sudden. So annoying! ✓ Why I deleted this appThis is about the suffering burnt baby bear video that you can see along with the temperature. This isn’t right i wanted to see what the WEATHER I was not prepared for something that would shock me into tears! Things are challenging and seeing this bear suffering made me cry, I mean full out ugly face sobbing! This isn’t weather! This is about a baby bear scorched and suffering and clinging to a tree! I didn’t get this app to see heart wrenching videos of baby burnt animals, nor was I prepared this kind of emotional drama to start my day. This is unfortunate. Your weather news people maybe could post more weather videos not the aftermath and suffering after the weather. If I wanted grief and suffering with or without a happy ending I’ll google it. ✓ One of the worst weather apps I’ve ever seenThis is one of the worst weather apps I’ve ever seen. The app design in itself is just a big blah. The radar is one of the worst, with no settings what so ever, to turn off the terrible future radar future, and the radar is extremely slow, as there are no speed options for it as well. This app needs a complete redesign and overhaul and add settings to the radar to increase the speed, and even get rid of that future radar as it does not make any sense.
