✗ X-Plane Integration NEEDED!As an emulation of a GTN navigator, this app is great. But as an actual training tool, it is extremely limited because the flight simulation is incomplete to the point of being basically useless. What this app needs is an interface to a flight simulator like X-Plane so that you can fly a simulated aircraft and learn how to use the GTN at the same time. What’s especially frustrating about this missing feature is that Garmin definitely knows how to do this. The Garmin Pilot app has this exact mode and it is an indispensable tool for learning how the app responds when you’re in a real cockpit. It simply and easily interfaces over wifi with X-Plane and receives position updates from X-Plane. The same implementation here would improve this app dramatically. If this is an issue about pricing, I’m sure most pilots would be glad to pay for an in-app purchase to add this capability. I certainly would be. Come on, Garmin. You’ve got the know-how and you clearly see the benefit of using flight simulators with your apps to improve the training experience.
