C# Programming Language for Negative User Reviews

DO NOT INSTALLIT HAS NOTHING!!!!!!!!!.Version: 13.0

Utter trashIs clunky, ugly user interface and all features are locked and require payment.Version: 13.0

Completely uselessYou can’t even compile a very very very simple app without buying compilations!!!.Version: 11.1

They Just Want Your MoneyYou should at least tell someone they have to pay before they download it. Putting it as "free" is basically false advertising..Version: 7.5

Would be good if not brokenWrote a small program to test it out and after running it I moved my phone just enough that the screen orientation changed. I don't know if that caused it or if it is a bug regardless but now I can't see any of the code I am writing except the last curly brace.Version: 2.1

WORST app everThis app requires you to pay to actually run your programs! How stupid!.Version: 9.0

Arrow's functionHi, I just downloaded the app and I was very disappointed when I realized I couldn't move the cursor with my keyboard's arrows because being unable to zoom in the code makes placing the cursor pretty hard and programming really heavy. I hope the problem will be solved as soon as possible. Thank you very much, Hatter142.Version: 4.2

Bad pricing systemRip-off price charging per compilation, really don't bother....Version: 9.0

Can’t test if it will compile code correctlyCan this app handle the Console.ReadLine() command? Can this program handle text color? What are the limitations? This application says free but in order to compile anything other than the demo program it requires a fee. Sure the fee is either .99 for 100 compilations or 2.99 for unlimited but too many developers are taking advantage thinking that it’s only .99 cents so they take your dollar and give you a bad application. If you do this enough it adds up and you lose trust on valid applications. I would suggest you start with a 100 free compilations then block the app from further compilations. We can’t trust the developers demo app since it’s hard coded to compile and run. This app has a ton of limitations and the developer knows that so he structure this to take advantage of that..Version: 12.0

ScrapThis apps do nothing expet sell you compilation autorisation..Version: 3.0

Awful since updateSince the update, now not only do you have to pay for the app, but you have to pay for compilations, do not buy this app unless you want to have to pay around £2 extra. Waste of my money now….Version: 2.4

What a tease...Nufsaid..Version: 3.0

Suggested ImprovementsGood app, but to be more useful it needs: -Intellisense-like expression completion -More responsive keyboard -Smooth, momentum-based scrolling for code (like output) -no compilation time out errors -the ability to accept input mid-build, like a real console -delete more than one character at a time -horizontal scrolling (no word wrap) These improvements are not ordered by importance! Ill be looking forward to the next update:).Version: 3.0

False PricingHas no functionality unless you pay..Version: 9.0

Nice but...Really nice app; however no bluetooth keyboard arrow keys is a huge limitation - if the arrow keys work, 5 stars all day..Version: 4.2

In-App PurchasesThis app forces you to pay for each time your code compiles. Without paying, you get one compile. One. This is ridiculous..Version: 9.0

One time appLets you run the program once then asks you for money to run it again… Useless.Version: 3.8

Hidden CostI run it once, to see if it works. Hooray, it does! I write some lovely code, and I then realise that I have to pay to compile the code... Wow..Version: 3.0

PoorVery poor app! You can only build you code once then you have to purchase more. I used my build with the code provided and couldn't test it with code I typed because I didn't realise you only had one build..Version: 6.2

Only a Text EditorSo far this is a glorified text editor that charges you for compiling code. So far I am new to C# so it is difficult to write perfect code. There are no autocomplete for the methods or functions? If there were at least some functionality you could make this a more worthwhile app to test out certain code without needing the full PC. I'd like to use it for expanding on math functions etc. and learning more about C#. I spend too much time reading back and forth from the reference or other C# websites. The compiling could be faster also. Please fix these it is actually a good idea if it had a lite version of tools from Visual Studio to support it..Version: 7.0

I have to pay to compile??Would give 0 stars if i could why should i have to pay to compile code?.Version: 13.0

Really disappointedYou have to pay money to do anyting.Version: 6.2

Cannot try before you buy -- NOT FREECan't even compile one program to see if the app is even functional/useful unless you buy an in-app purchase..Version: 6.2

ProgrammingReviewPoor, hard to type with, have to purchase extra's for the program to build its self..Version: 4.2

Not motivated to pay straight awayHard to justify paying when user really doesn’t know if it works apart from a screen shot saying compiles successfully for the sample. Would be more motivating to allow user to tinker a bit (say a day or two or with adverts) and then charge..Version: 11.1

Scam !!!This app is useless unless you buy the compilation service..Version: 6.2

Can I give 0 starsDo not get this app unless you want to pay. This app shouldn't even have in app purchases. YOU CANT RUN YOUR PROGRAM WITHOUT PAYING.Version: 9.0

Rip offMy only regret is not thinking of this my self it's a waste of money even if you spend money on the complies it doesn't compile jack. You can't even create a form. And even if you hard code it it won't compile properly..Version: 7.5

Horrible appSeriously? Charging for every test build/run for anything you do? Horrible for anyone wanting to code a few small scripts testing things on the move when you can't even check if your code compiles without errors unless you're willing to pay..Version: 9.0

Purchased but not happyYou are stuck in System, and cannot import any other Assemblies. System.ObjectModel.Collections or any non standard Assembly is unimportable. The code is compiled remotely which is a real bummer considering, offline compilation is at really what we need on IOS. I hope the dev chooses a different approach to integrate mono with an IDE on this platform..Version: 7.5

Rip off - DON'T BUYThis is a piece of junk designed to steal money. It is too bad I can't rate it any lower. Looking at the reviews, they must be scamming or paying people to write reviews to make the numbers go up. So sad..Version: 9.0

Nice app for Us beginners BUTI bought this for one price payment a few months ago and the compiler was working just fine BUT he recently released an update that gives a limited amount of complitions you can do and you have to pay £2.99 on top of the original £1.49 to get full access to the compiler. You can run 500 times if you pay 2.49 etc... I think they is some ripping of worth QQ about right there.Version: 2.4

Insufficient Compilations.Apparently there are no compilations available and I have to pay to get some. It makes no sense. I need more, for what I am working on, and it is just not enough. I'd only need around 10, I get 0..Version: 4.2

ReviewIf you're going to charge per compilation and have the customer start out with none just have an upfront cost to the app. Sadly this is pretty much the only C# compiler I can find on the App Store..Version: 9.0

GarbageThis is the definition of a trash app, you have to compile your code on a server, making offline use impossible, and to make things worse, you have to pay for your code to be compiled..Version: 7.5

Its not freeThis app required to be purchased 😡😡😡.Version: 7.0

ScamDon't buy, it's a waste of money. It Doesn't even understand the most basic of code..Version: 7.0

Doesn't workGimmick that only compiles the sample..Version: 3.3

InApp scamThis app does not work. Requires InApp purchase to use it, otherwise it does not work. Apple needs to investigate and reclassify this app..Version: 6.2

Meh...Wont process a loop... 😞.Version: 3.0

Keeps crashingI got this app because I am a beginning programmer, but every time I enter the app, it crashes almost immediately. I tried turning my iPad off and back on, but that didn't work. I have tried almost everything but it won't stop crashing. Please fix this..Version: 3.0

Rubbish, but does compileThe compiler is rubbish to use, no way to save files etc... But it does compile..Version: 1.7

InterestingLooks like a pretty solid app but you are charged based on how many times you compile..Version: 5.0

Good Learning ToolFirst off, the only reason this app gets a decent score is because it's pretty cool having access to a compiler on the iPad. I say access because the app sends your code to a remote server to do the compiling. As you would guess this can be kind of slow. Nonetheless, the real gripes are with the code editor itself. The lack of being able to select and copy large chunks of code, or even delete large selections is a pretty big oversight. As a result I'm mostly coding in the ipad notes app then copying to the editor. This slows me down further and also results in bad syntax errors due to the tendency for the notes app to add capitalizations where I don't what them. You are also very limited in the type of code you can run. The editor only gives you access to the basic system namespace, and there are a few strange limitations with having to declare basic methods as static. But it is good to be able to test code for reference..Version: 3.3

Source Code Saving Is a MustI'm a Visual Studio Developer in C# and VB.NET and found this interesting. Need source code saving at the very least. Inline help would be nice especially since I'm sure the whole .NET Framework isn't available and this would be helpful to see what is available without having to provide documentation. Compiled code to actually run on the iPad or iPhone would be fantastic but I realize Apple's licensing policies is very restrictive. Looking forward to the next release..Version: 1.6

Don’t botherYou have to pay for compilations from the start. Don’t waste your time..Version: 13.0

Appears okI don't think £1.99 is too much to pay for what appears to be a rounded, robust implementation of c#. Where I live thats the price of a regular americano. Think of the hours involved in making it. In app purchases are very common these days and I like that approach. The problem here is one of marketing. The app developer just needs to be up front about it. That way any new developments (as opposed to bug fixes which should be free) could fairly be sold on as well. I've decided to buy the app. I've been a professional coder for donkeys years and this is just what I need at home to make the switch from VB to C#.Version: 3.0

I mean it's good, just the paying system is bogusFor a mobile compiler it is very good and does it like Visual Studio would, but I am not investing in an app just so I can test my code a couple of times.Version: 9.0

Would give it higher rating, but...I was disappointed to find out that there was no automatic indentation, which I found to be a bit of a pain when trying to format my code. Also I would love if the creator would add some frameworks to use such as XNA/MonoGame, but that's just my opinion..Version: 7.0

Really?Honestly, you might have a chance of making money from this if you added ads to it so you don't have to charge for IAPs.Version: 8.0

Screen locked and arrows functionalityNot having a screen autorotate and arrows functionality for a Bluetooth keyboard makes too much of a problem to code. Limiting it to a vertical point of view with no space to c ur code plus no zoom available. It has the potential and looks promising thou..Version: 4.2
