✓ This just went on the app scrap heapI previously wrote a glowing review about this app. Funny how that glowing review only came after a problem had been fixed. Initially the tech support group was pretty good but when it came to issues of stability nobody had any answers. Every time an update came out I held out hope that the app wouldn't crash. The problems that finally led me to change were related to PDF editing. Probably 75% of the time I tried to edit a large PDF the app would crash. Sometimes I would break the PDF into smaller documents in the hopes that the app wouldn't crash. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. As far as I'm concerned if I can't rely on the app it isn't worth keeping. I've probably sent 20 or more tech support notes, most of them generated when the app crashed. Enough is enough. I downloaded a different editor today and went through a 17 page 11x17 PDF and marked it up without any problems. I don't know why I stuck with this app as long as I did..Version: 2.2.3
✓ Review UpdatedUPDATE: They fixed the constant crashing but the program is still not ready for prime time. Now when you use the 'signature' feature you have to sign very slowly. If you sign at a normal pace the line comes out looking extremely jagged. When I say jagged I mean that straight lines look just like lightning bolts. There are also some minor UI issues that make it very easy to loose the document you are working on. I really want to like this program but it simply isn't up to speed. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the fact that this one program does what I have been using two programs to accomplish. The problem is that it crashes almost every time I use it. I also wish that the user interface was more intuitive. Hope the developer issues an update soon..Version: 2.0
✓ Does everything but the key job it should do.The app is called WritePDF - but, it's incapable of changing (Adding, replacing or deleting) three characters of text on a PDF file. Until they can fix this, don't bother..Version: 2.4

✓ Basic appThis is a very basic app for annotating PDF files. Overall, it can be handy for occasional use, but certainly not for extensive editing. It is a keeper given the price point. Opportunities for improvements: * Tighter integration with Files. For example, opening a file from Files (the file is actually stored on OneDrive) results in an error message ‘could not open file’. Note that I can still open the file when I open it directly from WritePDF. * I had to login to my OneDrive account twice within a half hour period. * Some annotations such as drawing a line seemed to be flattened and I could not delete when I went back and reopened the file. * there is something about the user interface that does not come across as friendly and easy to use. * file names are abbreviated and show up as icons. There is no option to display files as lists. Bottom line, it is basic app for occasional use at a decent price..Version: 4.4.2

✓ Unintuitive / BuggyI was really disappointed by this app. My main issues with the app are 1) it crashes a lot 2) the interface is SO unintuitive, which makes it really difficult to use. The icons don't conform to the expected standard--I consider myself very good at learning new software, but I STILL hesitate when trying to remember which button to press or I select the wrong option and then I have to go back and edit the mistake. ✓ Page Break between PagesThe app is good and converts word documents whereas PDFPen does not. However, when converting word documents with page breaks embedded, the page break is not recognized and the conversion messes up the documents pages. This becomes problematic with legal documents and contracts when there is a "signature page to follow" situation. I use this app for signing contracts while traveling and this it very problematic for me and I suspect many others..Version: 2.7

✓ Write PDFI find this app somewhat awkward to use, but where I really have issues with it is when I open a file, edit it, save it, and try to reopen it again later, the file won’t open. Message is “Can’t open file”. Not satisfied with this app at all! It needs a lot of work..Version: 4.4.2
✓ BOOM CRASHThis program would be good if it didn't crash so much. It doesn't handle cashing very much, a few lines a squiggle then crash. If you don't save what you have done you lose the lot. ✓ This program is horribleI just wasted $8 on what I thought was a PDF editor. This program does no such thing. Instead of placing your cursor on the line or sentence your wish to change, you end up making a text box, typing in your changes and pasting it over the the area you want to edit. Getting the font and color you want and getting the text box exactly where you want it is clumsy at best. Too bad you have to waste your money on a product that has no way of refunding your money back to you. This is not a true PDF editing software..Version: 2.4

✓ Not worth the MoneyI was hopeful this app would be as described, but it is not. Every PDF I open from my computer, email, dropbox, or other apps that has annotations ends up distorted. All of the annotations are all over the place. Also, when I make annotations from the app no one can read them, as they end up randomly on the page or entire pages are missing. I also have PDF expert which with their recent update is extremely more effective that this. I purchased this as it sound like it would be better that PDF Expert but it's not even remotely close. The interface is awful. When are trying to select and open folder you need to perfectly select the drop arrow next to the folder's name or you end up in the higher level folder instead of getting to the next layer of folders. I would not purchase this app until this is fixed. This version should be a beta draft at best. Save your money and wait or get PDF expert. This company also removes features in updates, like in Save2PDF when the print function from within apple email to the app was removed..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Not usableSome time ago, I purchased this developer’s save2PDF app. It had a clunky interface and was not always stable. However, it does a lot of stuff that no other app will do, and I found it to be quite useful. Earlier today I purchased the writePDF app. It is basically a clone of save2PDF, but with many new functions. The interface is clunky as before, but I'm used to it now and can live with that. Unfortunately, the app is often unstable, crashing and freezing so often as to make it impossible to accomplish any meaningful work. I am sure the developer will fix this in time, but for now I would avoid this app..Version: 2.1
✓ Horrible! Don't waste your time, money, or frustrationAs has been often said before, I wish I could give this app a rating less than 1-star. From its design, to its features, and even its mere maneuverability, the whole app is a complete disaster. The app crashes every 5-seconds when editing a document, causing you to lose all your work. Additionally, the 24/7 support is a complete joke as half the individuals don't even speak proper English, and they all talk to you as if you've never picked up a smart device before to try simple trouble shooting. I used this app particularly for timesheets and getting signatures when out in the field. The app can't even handle someone writing their signature, making it look look a jumbled mess in comparison to other signature apps (something that was very embarrassing when I handed my iPad to a client to sign). What really drove me over the top was when I opened the app to find that EVERY SINGLE ONE of my saved files had been erased, causing me to lose a week's worth of work. This app is a hinderance, not a tool for organization or advancement. I hope to see it off the market ASAP. Don't waste your time, money, or frustration!.Version: 3.1.1

✓ Almost ThereI have huge hopes and see huge potential in this app, but it is not quite "there" yet. The Quick Start guide is lacking and some of the options are not real clear. App had a hard time with a 26 page PDF that I was trying to annotate and edit. I will be keeping and using the app for now to replace the couple I had piecemealing the same features. ✓ SwindleGreat app on the surface with useful tools. However there is no mention in the description this is a trial version. Get to end of the 'trial' and the app locks access to your work including any notes you've made before trying ransom it back to you for a princely sum. Reminds me of the Cryptolocker virus. So with no clarity up front how can you trust the developer to allow long term access to your work? Where is the access to your data when the developer withdraws support?! Frustrated and peeved at loosing hours of work. Cannot recommend for anything other than short term note taking..Version: 3.1.1

✓ Great App w/ PotentialThis is a fully functional and great app, but a little confusing to learn. I like it, but prefer other apps to this one. I don't like having to enter email info in the app so I can open PDFs sent via email. I wish I could click the arrow within the email and click "open In" and that would do it but it doesn't show up this way. I will try again later, but in the meantime I intend on deleting the app until I have more than an hour try it..Version: 2.2
✓ Impossible to highlightAt first I thought this app was great. Love that you can convert files to a pdf and add pages to an existing document. However, unless I am missing something, it is virtually impossible to highlight text. You have to tap/hold and drag to select what you want highlighted. The problem is that you can't see what you are selecting. Needs to have a hilighting tool that you can select then just use your finger or stylus to swipe across what you want highlighted. This is why I gave it two star- I highlight a lot and it should be an easy task!.Version: 2.4

✓ App has potential but...This app has great features but it crashes repeatedly when using the highlighting function. highlighter works sporadically. As an alternative I have tried putting colored boxes around important passages of text but the boxes are extremely sensitive and will move if they are touched..Version: 2.3
✓ Unstable and UI issuesIdea of PDF editing is great, but implementation is buggy at best. Crashes at least once every time I try to use it. Text selection tool is a poor attempt to copy the Apple standard. Zoom in, and small font selection bubble zooms too, and so you can't make out any text. Makes it very hard to select text. Object tool set is very good, all you would ever want. Object editing is also buggy. To change the text size, there is a slider which is too close to the edit toolbar, very hard to adjust, and is way too sensitive... A very slight change is 8-12 points so again, very hard to select a specific size. Quick start guide is okay, but not up to date. Manual is web based and online, and having a PDF available to download would be helpful. I wrote my own 7 page manual just to cover PDF editing and to get me going. Other non PDF tools such as printing, are a bonus. Please fix crashing, and clean up the UI..Version: 2.4
