Things That Go Together for Positive User Reviews

Great for language development! This app has beautiful clear photos and a great vocabulary selection. As a Speech Pathologist I use it to develop a child's ability to use language to explain why the objects belong together. Easy to use and fun! Linda K.Version: 2.0

Great appLove that you can customize as how many pics show at once. My kids live this challenging but fun app..Version: 1.0

Well planned covers all the bases!Tap on a picture to identify it if the child is unsure or unfamiliar with the picture. A clear pleasant voice is used in all instances encouraging the child at every point. Lots of bright attractive photos with interesting and functional themes. I recommend the app for use in a classroom, with one on one, or in a home setting..Version: 2.0

StrongLove that this app uses real pictures and reads the objects out loud as I use this with my visually impaired son. Might like the images to be a little larger? Great Christmas present, thank you grasshopper apps!.Version: 1.0

Perfect for Speech/Language!This is a great app for working on language concepts with preschoolers, and even late early intervention. Thank you for a great app!.Version: 1.0

Things that go togetherGraphics are great! I got the application for my 5 year old but after trying it myself it might be a low level app for my daughter. Thought application would be more in line for her age group!.Version: 1.0

Fun & rewardingEasy for the 5 year old and a great tool to star connecting things for the 2 year old..Version: 1.0

Good appThe items get a little more difficult after each set of go togethers. My son loves the app & is always his first " go to" app. A great starting app for teaching categorization..Version: 2.0

GreatRealistic pictures are great. As a speech/language therapist, I can definitely use with elementary students too, for both receptive and expressive language development..Version: 1.0

Nice interactive app! This application is great. I liked the realistic pictures but wish they were a little larger for students with visual impairments..Version: 1.0

Teacher preschool exceptional education childrenLove the idea of this app. Bravo to developers! Love that you can control how many tiles/choices presented at one time. However, my visually impaired children and those with short attention spans and impulsivity have difficulty perceiving what many of the objects are. Would love better contrast between working surface and the tiles. The white paper on the white tile is not even seen. Also wish one could enlarge the size of the tiles without losing quality of the pictures..Version: 2.0

Great appGreat app.Version: 1.0

"A" from the teacher! This is another nice app. from Grasshopper! I am a teacher and try to let my kids play only educational games on the iPad. This is good for my preschooler! Thanks Grasshopper!.Version: 1.0

Love it!I love getting these apps since I am a teacher with students with severe disabilities. The pictures are clear and the feedback is immediate..Version: 1.0

Things that go togetherGreat app! Looking forward to using it with my class tomorrow. All of your apps are wonderful..Version: 1.0

Kinder teacherMy students love this app! It is great for discussions in small groups. We just discuss why we are making choices before touching our choice. Thank you!.Version: 2.0

My son loves it!Great!.Version: 1.0

Great!!I love that you can adapt this app to fit the needs and level of your child!.Version: 1.0

Speech and Language PathologistThis a great app for matching and categories. It starts off easy and depending on the students performance stays easy or becomes more difficult. The settings allow you to modify the presentation to better meet different student needs. I love this app as much as my students..Version: 1.0

Good app overallI like how this app uses errorless learning to help children learn how words go together. I also like that labels are verbally stated for each item when the student touches them. The aspect that needs improvement are the verbalizations(verbally stated labels and reinforcements)can overlap which could cause confusion to students and may even encourage behaviors with the echoed voice effects..Version: 1.0

Things That Go TogetherAs with all the Grasshopper apps, this is wonderful speech therapy tool for working on concepts with language-delayed preschoolers. I have most of these apps, and my students don't realize they are learning! Thank you so much for making them available for free! (I wouldn't be able to afford all of these wonderful apps working for school system!) Mette SLP.Version: 1.0

Great app for kidsGreat app for kids to play, keeps them busy..Version: 2.0

Great Grasshopper Apps!Fantastic! My young children loved using this app, I'm sure my students will too! :).Version: 1.0

Kindergarten TeacherI loaded content to for matching letter to sound and CVC word to picture. I can't wait until I add more kindergarten standard skills to this app. This is so much more exciting than flash cards!.Version: 2.0

Great app! This will be a terrific app to use with my kindergarten students. I like that a voice says the name of each picture!.Version: 2.0

FunMy little one was having such a great time and learning at the same time too...Version: 1.0

Kids like it!My only complaint is that it automatically advances to the next page--as an SLP I want to encourage my students to verbally discuss "why" things go together..Version: 2.0

ExcellentFantastic app to wok on language and support children's understanding of why things go together..Version: 1.0

Great for little learnersLooking forward to using this app with my ECK kids this year at the beginning to get them used to the iPad. Thanks!!!.Version: 2.0

SLPMotivating and helpful! I work with 0-3 year olds who are developmentally delayed (mainly 2 year olds with Language delays). The apps on this web site have proven to be the most appropriate, well thought out and reinforcing for my students. Thank you for making my life easier!!!.Version: 1.0

Thanks!I have been working with my 4 year old son on matching and sorting by pulling out tons of flash cards which takes a lot of time. This app keeps him interested and we can work longer. Thanks!.Version: 1.0

Great appAnother great app. I love it. I will use this app for therapy with special needs children. The pictures are great which makes it more interesting for the children. Keep up the great work with your apps..Version: 1.0

Higher level thinkingAnother great app from Alligator Apps! This is a great activity to get Your little ones to use some higher level thinking skills. Thanks!.Version: 1.0

So perfect for my little guy!!!!Thank you.Version: 1.0

Going TogetherThis app is very engaging and requires close concentration to recognize relationships. I cannot wait to show this to my son. What I especially like is the varying levels of difficulty. A very valuable app. Eaff1963.Version: 2.0

Awesome!!!!!My grand babies 2 and 3 love this...my older one needs less help!! My two year old grand baby loves to clap when she hears the positive comments!.Version: 1.0

On a quest for kids logic apps!So glad I found Grasshopper Apps! Logic and spatial relationships are such a great thing to introduce to kids through iPhone apps! I also really like theGames: Sporty Mind Puzzles - a little trickier, really good!.Version: 2.0

Little match upsVery good.Version: 2.0

Great app for making associations!Very clear presentation. Great pictures. Many of my children in language therapy will benefit from this basic presentation..Version: 2.0

Too high for delayed kiddosI enjoy many of the alligator apps; this one won't get a lot of therapy use. The items paired are much too high for many of my Early Childhood and Developmentally delayed kiddos/ children with autism. There are great pictures for the pairs; it just would be nice to see things that are a bit more simplistic and part of a child's daily routine, school/bus, teacher/school, folder or book/backpack, sock/shoe, milk or juice container/straw, spoon and cereal or ice cream, crayon/pic, chair/table or desk, etc. Varied levels would be great: beginner, intermediate and advanced. I will use it for my two children though (3 & 6)!.Version: 1.0

Things that go togetherI'm am SLP with a large preschool and "spectrum" caseload. This app is very good for working with both populations. You have created another "hit"!.Version: 1.0

MargalexGreat app, good for all ages..Version: 2.0

ThanksMy 4 year olds who have some delays and don't talk like the click sound and the naming of the objects. However, even with my verbal input, they do not get associating objects. I will keep the app on the iPad because they may grow into it..Version: 1.0

Special Ed Teacher's AideI love this app! Even better the students love it! It uses pictures they know and understand. It is nice to be able to put a student on this app and work with another student close by. I highly recommend this app!.Version: 2.0

Thanks for the great free appMaking links and associations is such an important cognitive skill! Its very nice to have another way to let students practice..Version: 2.0

Things that go togetherVery useful app. I like it a lot, but would really like it even more if pages didn't advance automatically. I want time to discuss why they go together, so want to advance manually. Could this be an option?.Version: 2.0

SLPThis is a great app to use when working on things that match. Items are named and errors are immediately identified. This is interactive and additional discussion could be easily facilitated..Version: 1.0

Very goodMy 4 year old loved it. To improve, more audible feedback. Also a button to check the correct answers rather than the pieces moving only into the correct answers. A few American touches, such as baseball mitt and ball which my daughter could not answer. Overall, worth a download..Version: 1.0

This is greatThis app is fun and easy to use. I like that I can add my own items. I can use it in many ways with my students..Version: 1.0

Perfect timingJust finished the Peabody test with my non speaking kids, this is a great addition to see if they understand matching concepts . They love to hear the name of the picture out loud. Excellent..Version: 1.0

Magnetic tile optionI wish it had magnetic tile option, otherwise it would be perfect!.Version: 1.0

Things That Go TogetherGreat app. Wonderful way to sit down with your child and learn new words..Version: 2.0

Fantastic!My daughter's loving this - another fantastic app!.Version: 1.0

Great appLiked it, especially all the options..Version: 1.0

PcmslpThis is a wonderful app. I have really apprepriated the free apps that have been made availabel to me through Grasshopper. I use one of your apps at least ten to fifteen times during a days work. The children do not know that they are learning when I use them for therapy. They have lots of fun with the app..Version: 1.0

Things that go togetherSeems good on first use. Like how it gradually increased in difficulty, with both number of items and complexity of connection..Version: 1.0

Things that go togetherThis app is very good for those that have language problems. The tiles say their names and make a sound when placed correctly. I would highly recommend this app for young children..Version: 2.0

This is great for younger children AND English language learners!I can't wait to use this app at school but it will also be put in my granddaughter's folder.. She always asks me for something new in her folder :-).Version: 2.0

Great work well done! But?I love this app an the fact you can customise the pictures and audio is a good idea, I have been able to tailor it to my child's need, but there is one thing I find frustrating! You can spend alot of time creating and then at a click of a button your child can undo all that work! Please can you password protect the reset setting function in a future update. Then I will give 5 stars. Great work though..Version: 2.0

GreatGreat app.Version: 1.0

Great appMy 2yr old loves this..Version: 1.0

Love It!I love apps with wonderful real life photos. And this one helps my son associate which items "go" together and allows me to expand on them by discussing more items that go with the matching pair as well items that would not. It helps him to expand his knowledge base and executive/organizational skills (which autism kids often have a tough time doing)...i.e. collecting all the things you need to take a bath etc..Version: 1.0
