✓ Best "first app"This app taught my daughter, then barely 1, all the basics she needed to know about using the iPad. And it kept her busy--and laughing--when she needed distraction. She's 3 now and a full-fledged iPad expert, and now her 1-year-old brother is following in her footsteps, beginning with all the wonderful Wonderkind apps, of course. I can't say enough great things about them. Take the leap and just buy the bundle. Seriously. The designers deserve the support, and trust me, once your child learns how the first one works, you'll end up buying them all anyway. My only suggestion to the designer is to add a setting to make the app shut down when the iPad is left untouched long enough to shut down. I can't count how many times I've picked up my iPad only to find the battery nearly dead because the app has been running--its music quietly tinkling out the speakers--for hours while the iPad was unattended. They are a great beginners app for young children because they make no demands; they simply deliver loads of delightful surprises for touching the screen. Even Grandma gets a kick out of the clever new surprises she keeps on discovering. Naturally, every child will have their favorite page. My 2-year-old grandson just loves to upset the ladder the man is climbing to pick apples and set the dog a barking. He could do that all day. I love the pages where so many things happen on a city street - elevators go up and down, shawarma (gyro) venders cut meat, buses pick up and release passengers, people walk their dogs, street performers perform, plants fallfrom window sills, helicopters land on rooftops, rain clouds pass, the sun comes out. There are so SO many things to discover in every picture. It's a wonderful introduction to the touch screen for little fingers and curious minds. I recommend getting them all..Version: 1.4.2
