✓ 70 year old rookie bowlerAs far as bowling goes, I started April 17, 2023 at the age of 69 and I have endeavored to become a above 200 average bowler with a goal of 300 game and 800 series those are my goals and Lanetalk is instrumental in me achieving my goals. I think my average is around 173 I’m not detained to 300 game yet but I’ve bowled some pretty good games and 240s and considering I’ve only been doing this about 10 months Lanetalk has been valuable tool. I can create. I can keep track of my scores and watch my progress. I’m very happy with this. ✓ Nice AppThis is a nice app for bowlers. However, the search option for completed games is missing for iOS 13.0 version. I just updated my OS and the search option was there before and it is gone now. Update: Changing the rating to 5 stars as the search option for iOS 13 has been fixed in the latest update. ✓ GlitchesI enjoy the app but it has bugs or glitches where it will not always group you series together and several times it will double one of the games in the set showing 4 games in a 3 game set another example of a glitch was it picked up 1 game in the set but the other 2 were missing… on a positive note I do love the app and being able to look back at you games in great detail.Bosslady99Version: 4.6.2

✓ Active developers but still minor issues.Every once in a while there will be an adding error in the 8th, 9th or 10th frame where it will give you a wrong total score on manually added games. The only way to fix it is to edit a frame and make it look like you left more pins than you did. I have a screenshot of an example if the devs want me to email it. This has happened since the day I downloaded it all the way through current version. I know it will be fixed soon but it is frustrating for now. Still working on getting my house to set up LaneTalk with their system, which would eliminate this problem I’m experiencing, they just explain it’s a difficult process but something they would like to do. ✓ Trying againI used it before but quit because it constantly dropped games and there was a rumor they were going to start subscription. I already use a good app so I quit. I’ve decided to try it again but see two problems already. One house I bowl in isn’t offering Lanetalk, one of my balls isn’t on the list (Storm Lock - my go-to ball even though it’s old) and there’s no way to delete balls from the list..IijnbhggbbfjkVersion: 4.7.0

✓ Could make the data more usefulI like the app and use it regularly but there are a few things which would make it better and where the data is already available First, more detailed ways of analyzing personal scoring data should be available, - what are my scores, leaves and stats for only first games, second, third, etc? - what are the same stats per frame? First frame across all selected games, second frame, etc - what are my stats per lane, assuming two alternating lanes. It would be best if you could number the lane just like you identify the house Next, publish these stats by average range, just like the rankings are done Then, do the stats in the prior step per league Pros write these sorts of things down in their personal logs so why not give your users the same capability, without their having to deal with notebooks and spreadsheets?. The data is already available and could be much more useful for serious bowlers. ✓ Solid!The best score keeping app for bowling. I like having statistics each time I bowl, I can also follow along and see which spares I’m improving on and which ones need more work. I have tried other “manual entry” bowling score apps and they are clunky. This one is pretty smooth, the interface is easy to use and looks nice. There is so much potential here to offer more features. It would be nice to be able to have places to log notes, oil pattern info, etc. I am a subscriber because I love bowling and see the potential here. ✓ Good featuresI just started using the app now that it has become available for one of the centers I bowl at locally and I am enjoying it so far. It was a little touchy at first because I wasnt aware you have to press a couple of buttons to save the game for the day but now that I have caught on it is super useful and good to see percentage stats right in front of me to show some things I need to work on. Lastly I like the ranking system where I can see how I am compared to others that bowl in the same center as me. I still use pinpal as a secondary scoring system but use this one also..Green.PBA.2023Version: 4.9.4

✓ Awesome!Every bowler should have this app. Very helpful and you can watch other leagues bowling live even if you aren’t present. Trying to make it to the top of the leaderboards every week is my challenge. I’ll make it someday. ✓ I really hope they don’t abandon this app.This app hasn’t been updated in 3 months, but I really hope it gets some good tweaks soon. Me and some friends went bowling the other day in order to try out this app and the least I can say is that I am impressed. All my data, from the score to the pin leaves, is kept (and I could even look back at previous games I played). ✓ Great app but….I absolutely love this app. I’ve used it for almost 3 years now. I’m happy to be a paying supporter of it but it definitely has its glitches. Doesn’t always want to connect. Sometimes it only shows 2 games of a 3 game set. I’ll continue to support it in hopes the glitches it does have eventually get addressed and worked out. ✓ Love this appLove this app. Only reason they aren’t getting 5 stars is because I finally bowled a 600 series (618 to be exact) but when I went to claim my games only the first game showed up. Have checked back several times and still only the one game. Husband had this issue also except he got his 1st and 3rd game scores. ✓ Good but hope developments come in the near futureI love this app. It keeps track of my scores bowled from previous months or even years and it keeps track of my progress on current games. I would like to hopefully see a simulation strike ball shot. What I mean is you select the ball your throwing, select the oil pattern and run the simulation so it gets an idea of where you want to stand so you hit the pocket every time for a strike. I would also like them to add balls in so you can see your arsenal or other peoples arsenals. While this might take a while I believe that this is possible. I would also like a better free subscription. I like the premium but I wish they would offer more things to the free users. ✓ ManI loved the app when I first got it. Paid for the subscription. Now I can hardly get it to connect to take/keep scores. I deleted the app and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it. Was told my old password wasn’t right and got a link to reset it. Now it says invalid link when I try to reset it. Now I can’t login at all It started off great and now it’s extremely buggy. I’m not getting what I paid for anymore Update: my experience has gotten much better since my first review. I will bump it up because I do love the app. I was frustrated with the functionality for a few months but the problems I have seem to have been worked on. ✓ Great insightI’ve been using this app for about eight weeks now, so far, it’s pretty dang good! You can look into your shots and see where you need to improve your game. ✓ Needs polishSome of the links don’t work correctly and I cannot add balls to my arsenal because the formatting of the screen does not allow me to. But the feed seems to cap at 26 games for one session, because when I threw 65 games in one session, none of my followers could see it, they only saw 26 games of results. ✓ Great potentialLanetalk is the only app to my knowledge that will work in tandem with bowing centers who are willing to keep record of almost every score you throw. There are many bugs and glitches that need to be worked out but this is new technology that we haven’t seen in bowling ever. ✓ Fascinating AppThe app is just plain fun to use and offers great value for tracking your history and following friends and competitors in your league or in other cities that have scoring equipment compatible with the app. I especially liked being able to track results of my various leagues even before having to wait for the official emailed results. They appear to be upgrading the app and I look forward to seeing what they can add to the platform for increased functionality.
