✓ Unable to use appDownloaded the app and created an account. Received email account verification but was unable to get app to recognize that the account was verified. Wrote to support and after several days finally got a response that my account had been fixed and verified. But when I try to log in password is not accepted. Tried numerous times to have password reset but all I get is email that says it’s been reset and to click a link to open the app where I can choose a new password. But the link just opens the app to the new account page. If I enter my login ID it fails with account already exists..Version: 4.3.4
✓ Great free app,then ruined with paywall for unlimited scoresI used this app every time went league bowling and practicing, which is very regular.it tracks scores over periods of time,saves high scores and many other useful things. Now with the addition of a subscription system,that is all gone.on the free version you can only see scores from last 6 games,and can’t see historical high scores.thankfully I have photos.back to using my camera.good app,ruined by greed.very disappointing..Version: 4.5.2
✓ When it works it’s been good - needs a feedback optionSo I started using this app at the start of my league season. Our lanes just got acquired by Bowlero and they use their software. It worked great at first but the last time it only recorded 2/3 of my games (the first). Can’t find any option to email or post an issue/bug so I guess I’ll try here. When it’s working I like the stats it shows me and my pin leaves. Just need to fix the problem with score capture and add a feedback/help option.Version: 4.5.4
✓ Ruined by corporate greedWe need some quick cash. Oh, I got an idea, let’s remove functionality that was previously free. Then sell it as a monthly subscription and no one-time purchase option. It’s no longer possible to view your history more than 6 games older, without a subscription. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Bowling is already a dying sport, and this is not helping to rejuvenate the sport. My long standing 1 star review still stands, and I would still rate it 0 stars if I could..Version: 4.11.4
✓ Great concept!This app has so much potential for bowlers! Its just needs some work. There is some serious lagging when it comes to what frame you are in. Also there is another issue with connection. Whenever I go to bowl a 3rd game lately, it kicks me out and will not let me reconnect. Thus, leaving me with 2 games instead of my 3 games. ✓ Promising but…The ability to track your games and show you advance stats is really cool. What’s not cool is not being able to find your ball under the gear/arsenal tab, or not being able to find your bowling alley to add it to your ‘home alley’ in your profile. I wouldn’t expect them to have every ball ever made, but mine is a recent one from a major brand, and my bowling alley is a decently sized one in a major city that’s been around for years. ✓ Still a lot of bugsI love this app and I love being able to track games and follow people- however, there are still a lot of bugs that make this app hard to use. It won’t keep up with active games, it drops connection while tracking your games so you lose the ability to go back and see your games. I need to make a list. ✓ A subscription for a stat app is ridiculous.This app is useless without a subscription. It used to be free and was the best if you wanted to see incredibly detailed stats about all of you and your friends’ games. Now it’s all tucked behind a paywall and you only get to see your past 6 sessions which makes the cool graphs and averages virtually useless. To the developers: JUST USE ADS! Make an ad free version for a one time cost or subscription, and people with money will pay it. I won’t, I am poor. I spent all my money on bowling balls. I’ll suffer the ads..Version: 4.5.3
✓ Lanetalk AppI really like the app. If the bowling center uses Lanetalk then everything will work fine. Problem is that many bowling alleys don’t sync with Lanetalk. Don’t know why that is. And I still have issues with the 2nd game not showing up after the first was bowled. I pay for the subscription too. Not to happy about that. It all shows up at the end of bowling but if I pay for the app, it should work fine..Version: 4.9.4

✓ Great start…This app is pretty awesome with the live tracking. However functionality is a BIT clunky. Some buttons can disappear when searching for a player. Loses connectivity at times, and doesn’t like to restablish and have to kill the app. Problem with killing the app, you need to search for yourself all over again, which can pull you out of the game (PLEASE REMEMBER WHO WE ARE IF, IF WE HAVE TO LOG IN IT SHOULD REMEMBER WHO WE ARE), There are some features id like to see (like stacking of my games as they progress (game 1,2 and 3 on the share screen or an option on the live screen). ✓ UNABLE TO UPDATE EMAIL ADDRESS IN PROFILERequested assistance back in December 2021 directly inside the application "Help" link. No response for three (3) - four (4) months... then a response stating I didn't leave enough information (ah, please read the title of this response). I then cancelled my "supporter" subscription based on the lack of response on my initial problem. WHICH WAS: my email address was wrong in my profile and I COULD NOT CHANGE IT myself to correct the issue. Really, you have a user profile setup and you won't let the paying customer edit it to make corrections? ✓ NO RESPONSE: CANNOT EDIT (correct) EMAIL ADDRESS IN USER PROFILE (Since December 2022)Somehow, my email address .<name> got input incorrectly upon initial registration. Went into Profile to make a simple edit update and the application would mot allow me to change it. Meanwhile, I contacted support back in December 2022 (several times) and never got a response. I liked the application nonetheless and then signed up for a yearly subscription and made payment. All the while never getting a response from support on my issue. Frustrated, I disputed the subscription charge with Apple and they got my money back. I continued to use the application and it seems to work sporadically similar to other’s reviews with the application dropping games. Not sure what the big deal is with not allowing a user to edit a profile. That’s basic Programming functionality. What’s up?.Version: 4.7.1

✓ So little use for free usersI hate writing this review because in the past this app has been extremely helpful. But recently, this app has decline in value. Originally it was around 50% of data was available to those who use the app for free. But now you can’t even see all your previous games without spending money. Now 95% of the app is inaccessible to those who don’t want to spend 5.99 a month just to track bowling stats. ITS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!!! I get you wanting to make money and that’s understandable but the greed has gone too far. I literally can’t use this app since all of everything that I liked about it has been taken away. ✓ Works one week, won’t work the nextIf this program was debugged and fixed properly this app would be out of this world and would be worth paying money for! But the same problem is always consistent where it’ll work one week and work great, then the next week it won’t even get past the opening “Lanetalk” screen with the logo I matter how long you sit there and wait. And sometime (hasn’t happened in a month) if the app does open it wouldn’t let you look at a report for anyone’s game(s) cause it would just crash and you would reopen the app to it just crashing again when trying to pull up the report scoreboard..Version: 3.5.0
✓ Crashes/won’t sync properlyBeen using this app for about a month. 1 week will link up the next won’t do a thing but keep you in limbo during an event. Also if ya join the weekly Troup tourney it only tracks 2 games for that night then ya have to go back in and claim from history. Sure wish there was a way to keep all 3 games or during the event discard your worse game. So it would keep track of all 3 games on your weekly status. To many bugs to deal with plus it would have been nice to create different buckets to keep your games separated for different leagues. It would have also been nice to see your actual ball speed, they give you red bars instead of the speed. However, I happened to open the app today and I could only see 3 of my claimed games—everything else was locked behind a subscription. I could also only see very limited stats. ✓ Tiered packagesIt is frustrating that when a user was a paid subscriber prior to new features and a new their comes out and the items you ask for required the user to pay again to upgrade. Especially when the user has already paid for a full year, so I would have to pay the full cost all over again. ✓ StatsThe app good takes a long time to load in features don’t always work so I just add my games later which is probably the best feature I don’t have to track while I’m bowling sometimes it takes a couple days for games to show up but not a big deal. What really irritates me is the stats and calculations the have no explanation on how they calculate something or any real way to expand on anything it really lacks there. PinPal was and still is the best for keeping true statistics on your bowling game..Version: 4.9.4
✓ Subscription fee is dissapointingAfter our lanes just upgraded their computer system it was awesome to see all your stats and get a real-time update of your actual average. All the guys had the app and we would talk about our scores. Since the app was free I was totally fine with dealing with some of the bugs that came along with it. However, they just switched to a subscription based service and I plan on deleting the app. I can’t understand how they can ask for $25 a year in order to keep track of your stats forever with the same bugs others have been complaining about. The app has trouble claiming games after you have already claimed the first game. It doesn’t automatically recognize you are bowling a second and a third game and I’ve had to go in and reclaim the series every time. Plus it now only tracks the last six games so your average is never correct. I would be willing to pay a one time purchase to support the developers but the creation of a subscription plan just to access your stats is disappointing. Especially since I recently bowled a 300 and the app now says my highest game is a 215. Please consider a one time payment and I would be much more interested in supporting your app..Version: 4.5.1
✓ Was Great…no longer so.Used the app for about 9 months and was just starting to like it enough to consider subscribing, when something happened. Almost everything was moved into a pay tier. Now having worked with software vendors for decades I decided I am not playing that game this time. If a feature was free and they move it into a pay tier they will do it again. I do not feel like being on the hook for monthly subscriptions only to find out what I was using now costs more. I read some reviews and apparently this has been done by Lanetalk in the past, so it only confirms my suspicions. I was at league tonight and someone was using it and I told them I had deleted my app and I used to love it and he said they reversed the decision and opened it back up as it was before. Apparently this is not the case as I just reinstalled it and it is slightly better than when I removed it the first time but still most features are behind a paywall. I will not be sucked into using an app then my data held hostage for money down the road for a new tier to pop up. It was fun while it lasted. I will be deleting it again after this review is posted. ✓ Manual Scorekeeping is BrokenI have lost dozens of games in the short time since I purchased the pro subscription early January. Every time I complete a game, save, and click add details to the next game it opens back up the prior game and I have to click save again and then it disappears and all data is lost. All of the effort of tracking pins for nothing. I have submitted a cancellation and refund request as the product is defective and does me absolutely no good at trying to improve my bowling..Version: 4.11.2

✓ Very Poor AppI’ve given this app months to improve, but it hasn’t! I look forward to follow my daughter in her bowling league @ Bowlero Euless, Texas. I’m lucky if I get to follow a few frames out of 3 games. My daughter has been bowling for 25 years and this app is a pure disappointment. What is the point having it. It works at other houses., but never at Euless! If they are going to have it it would be nice if it worked. I hope maybe you could do something! However the app won’t update at my bowling center anymore. I can’t look up any more of my games. I can’t see any live scoring. I really like it and want to continue to use it. ✓ Update GarbageThe update claims to be in to fix bugs. I did the update just to find out that now I have to pay to see what was previously included. I think that’s garbage. This isn’t the way we grow the sport you have to show value in the app to get people to purchase it, I highly recommended this app and doing the upgrade to a lot of people. However, I will not recommend this app to anyone going forward. I will also recommended everyone to get rid of this app and choose 10 pin toolkit. The surprise updates to gain more profit is not a way to grow the sport. I understand needing to make more money to keep improving but not the way you’re doing it. I’m not probably gonna be the only one that’s upset about this. I’m not gonna be the only one that dumps the app and I’ll be interested to see how your pro staff handles this update and the truly unprofessional way to make more money. ✓ Not reliable!!For example, today out of my 3 games during my League it only shows one game and it can’t even find the other 2 games! I’ve been using it since it first came out but it is frustrating and not at all reliable!! This has happened many times before and to my team mates as well.
