Reading Raven HD for Positive User Reviews

MultisensoryThis is a great multisensory game to learn letters and sounds. It is fun to play. Great for dyslexic children..Version: 1.2.1

Best early reading appI have spent ages searching for a good and entertaining phonics app for my autistic son, this is perfect to keep his attention. The only thing to make it even more perfect would be an option with an English voice, and to make it really fantastic, have a window in one corner with a real persons face showing how to form the sound with their mouth!.Version: 1.2.1

Awesome!Great app! Our son loved learning with and was so proud to finish each level..Version: 1.4.1

FantasticI've been using Reading Raven with my son, who's two and a half, and I've been thrilled with how engaging and sequenced and effective this game is in teaching basic phonics skills. He's learnt most of his letters in about a month, along with their sounds. In fact, the sounds are emphasized, which is great. I love watching his letter matching skills develop, and then his word matching skills, and now his sound recognition skills. And it's fun to play and Asa a parent it's fun to watch him play. My only suggestion is that my son prefers the circus level the best...about ten times more than any other level. Loves the lions. It'd be great if I could customize each of the levels and select their theme. Just a thought. Thanks for a great game. Worth every penny and more..Version: 1.4.2

CeltHave lots of apps but this is the first review I have written because I are so impressed with this one. If you want to help your preschooler, or 5yr old to read then you need this app. It has even taught me, now I no how to help my girls to read their own books. If you want to give your kids a head start, forget all the other ones, this is the only one you need.....enjoy,.Version: 1.2.1

Pearl b.I have never written a review because I have never felt strongly enough to put my opinion on line. However, this app is fantastic. I am having each one of my children in my classroom go through all five levels. I cannot say enough wonderful things about it!.Version: 1.4.1

Retired kindergartenI find I am impressed with this program. Love the way they have incorporated the letter sight recognition with the sounds and then blending the sounds into the word. Nice interactive voice recording for the child. Nice phonics program for the beginner. Our granddaughter wants to know what is the next level since she has completed Reading Raven 2..Version: 1.4.2

AwesomeRecommend this to all mom, teachers, and kids. Very happy :).Version: 1.2.1

Love it...want more lessons added please! My 5 year old loved this app. Please expand...add more lessons! I had a hard time trying to get my child to want to learn to spell/read...then I found this app. It kept her interested and wanting to complete the lessons that she did all of 5 lessons quick. Please add more lessons!!!.Version: 1.2.1

AMAZINGI am not one to write reviews, but my daughters reading development over the past week left me no choice. This app is simply amazing. Not only is it gorgeous (which I appreciate) but it is so logically put together and engaging that she just can't get enough of it. She essentially went from knowing how to read Mom and Dad, to going through the simple sentence structure in a matter of days. The lessons are straightforward and build upon each other using the same multifaceted lessons (matching, sounding out, tracing letters, completing words, etc) for each level so that while the content is getting more challenging the format stays familiar. This is the way you do "learning made fun". This is why I bought an iPad, and fulfills the promise of apps as an educational tool. Kudos to the developers. A job very well done. I have just purchased Vol. 2, and can't wait to have her start. I already can't wait for Vol. 3.Version: 1.2.1

One of the best in the marketThis is one of the best App I have found. My 5 years old who got ASD loves to record his own voice when reading the phonics. My 6 years old with ADHD could play this for more than half an hour which is a great surprise. It teaches children phonics, reading and writing, and also helps with their speaking. It is a great all in one and you only pay a small fee. Thanks to all the developers..Version: 1.2.1

Fabulous! This is an outstanding ap. I use it at home with my daughter and at school with my students. There are things that I wish it had (multi-user mode and the ability to go back to hear what was read at each level) but the scope of what is covered is amazing. It's 'kiddie' enough to be fun but not so much that my students see it as beneath them. I hope they come out with another one soon as we are almost through all the levels!.Version: 1.2.1

Love Reading RavenThis is a very easy-to-use app that appeals to kids in so many ways and makes learning to read fun. From the colorful bugs and animals, to the stickers they earn with every unit they finish, my kids really enjoy it and I appreciate having a teaching tool that's so much fun for them..Version: 1.0

Brilliant gameThis is a great game and my children love it. The only negative Is that it does not have separate profiles for multiple children..Version: 1.2.1

Retired teacherMy grandchildren love this app and so do I . There seems to be everything a beginning reader might need. Being a retired elementary teacher, I have really enjoyed working with my 5 year old granddaughter and 3 year old grandson. I just downloaded an upgrade and now the actual program itself clicks off when you hit play. All of the instructions stay on. There will be some very sad kids at my house if this is not fixed..Version: 1.4

It works and it's funWhen you buy an app called Reading Raven chances are you actually want your child to build some reading skills and not just have fun playing on your iPad. This app gets the job done and it is also really fun too. The execution is fantastic with solid skill building theory, beautiful art work, level ups, rewards for progress - all the essentials. I really like that the app has longevity and/or is applicable to different ages with the three different levels and settings..Version: 1.0

Excellent AppI’m a teacher and used this app with my oldest daughter 6 years ago and it still works with my 4 year old. It’s best if you sit with your child and complete the levels..Version: 1.5.1

Reading ravenVery educational. My daughter learnt her phonics pretty fast with this app and learnt to read easy words on her own. Highly recommended..Version: 1.2.1

Brilliant, with only 1 flaw. We've found this app fantastic in all areas of reading, it's engaging, relevant and achievable. We're British, so it would be useful to have some English spelling alternatives (mom/mum), but we managed to explain most of those. The only real flaw is that you can only have one child playing at a time until they complete all levels...if someone starts on a different level it loses all the stickers etc. if there was a way to log on several children it would probably be the best kids app I've found..Version: 1.2.1

The best game!My son just completed this game! It is amazing! So many parts, such a great learning game. I homeschool my older son so my younger would go on for about 15 minutes a day during part of our school day. So over the last two months he has spent hours on this game and LOVED it. Highly, highly recommend!.Version: 1.2.1

A wonderful early reading appReading Raven is without doubt the best educational app (of many) we have downloaded for my 4 year old daughter. It starts off nice and gently, which gave my daughter confidence and then slowly gets more difficult with the fun games keeping her engaged. So far she has willingly worked her way up to lesson 4 (about 30 mins a day for 2 weeks) and is now reading whole sentences with confidence. This was a real breakthrough for us because my wife and I were having a hard time trying to get her to read with us. Thank you Early Ascent! PS would appreciate an expansion pack and the same quality of programs in science and maths!.Version: 1.2.1

A must for preschoolers! As a mom and early childhood education professional I am very impressed. I had literally gone through dozens of learning apps and been disappointed every time. This app doesn't condescend to my child, but takes into account that he is growing up in a technological age. It is quick to learn, easy to navigate and my son doesn't need me to babysit him through it, although it is fun for both of us to work together. After his first few minutes playing with the app, he was putting together sounds and working on sight words. This is a life saver during car rides or grocery trips that I don't feel guilty about. Totally worth it!.Version: 1.0

Autism teachI am a teacher that is in l-o-v-e with Reading Raven!! The different lessons makes it easy for me to set up children at their individual ability levels. I like how positive reinforcement and feedback is built right into this app. The various reading skills that are incorporated into this interactive game helps to hold their attention and make reading fun! I cannot say enough positive things about his app. The developers were definitely in tune to core standards and teaching techniques when this was created. A big shout out to A4cwsn for connecting me to Reading Raven :).Version: 1.2.1

Brilliant appMy 3 year old has been playing this since before Xmas and he has learnt letter sounds and writing letters, it helps them learn in fun ways. Worth the money to keep the toddlers entertained.Version: 1.4.1

Excellent!Wouldn't know what to improve upon. Easy to use. Excellent parental controls - even pick the handwriting style you want your child to practice. Best self-checking phonics app! He can try to read the word, click any parts he is not sure about, read the word again (or it speaks it to him and he can tell if he was right or not).Version: 1.2.1

Great educational app for early readersFantastic!.Version: 1.4.2

By far the best app i downloaded for my 3 year old.Very nice graphics and sound. Excellent in teaching sounds of the alphabet to kids. The only reason i didn't give 5 start is i was Hoping for a verity especially for words matching game. Kids learn the word pretty much the after 3 repetition after that it gets Little boring..Version: 1.0

Quickly workingOne look at the map and my daughter, who just turned 5, wants to go to space. That's lesson 5, so you'll have to do lessons 1-4 first I said. After lesson 1, 20 or 30 minutes, she still wasn't bored and wanted to keep going. It approached a set of 5 letters from all angles with plenty of color, sound, animation, and characters. She enjoyed collecting and arranging her reward stickers in the raven's house. Buy this app if your child, like mine, has been struggling with your attempts to get them to read simple words..Version: 1.1

Awesome!I'm very picky when it comes to apps and this one is so good. It is very well designed, with a great interface for kids, and has one of the best teaching environments I've ever seen from an app. If you have kids and are looking for an app to help with reading and writing skills, get this one..Version: 1.2.1

Wonderful early reader appReading Raven offers a highly structured and scaffolded phonemic awareness environment that benefits non-readers and early readers alike. It's is an app that offers repetition for those who need it and upward movement for those that catch on more quickly. The settings page allows the adult to adjust the amount of information the child is receiving and ensures that frustration levels stay low. My three and five year olds both enjoy playing at their own levels. I have definitely seen an increase in letter name and sound recognition over the last couple of weeks that we have been using this app. Definitely worth the purchase!.Version: 1.2.1

Best so farReally helps my son learn his sounds and letters!.Version: 1.1

Great program that really helps early readers. Our son loved being read to but didn't want to read himself. Thanks to this app he know is having fun reading and his reading ability have really improved (in less than 2 weeks). I highly recommend this if your son/daughter is learning to read!.Version: 1.0

Great reading toolsMy kindergartener is very smart and I feel like of games don't challenge her but I don't want to push her. This game goes at her own pace, motivates and challenges her. She loves it! Thank god tools like this exist to help parents educate our children and be involved. You can even set the game to work on skills that need improvement and eliminate lessons that teach skills they have already mastered. You have to know what they have already learned in school etc. This app could help parents ask the right questions and really make a home school connection. So important. It's our job as parents to be the leaders of our child's education. Reinforce what they are learning at school, supplement what's missing and talk to your children about what they like and how they feel. This doesn't come easily sometimes. Trial and error. Something will work e eventually. Ask god for help. Do what feels right and do it with love:) enough said......thank you reading r.Version: 1.2.1

First class!!Without a doubt this has got to be one of the best reading apps available on the iPad. It's particularly important to note that this application uses 'phonics' to teach youngsters to read which is the same system used by our child's school - something to bear in mind when choosing an app as the last thing you want to do is confuse your youngsters and undermine the teacher's efforts. One of the great things about this application is it's sheer diversity, it's very colourful, well animated and there is always something exciting happening on screen which really help engage the kids. The other really nice feature is that in addition to learning to read it also helps kids learn to write by using their finger to trace the letters making up each word. Well worth the money..Version: 1.1

This is truly remarkable....I find this app inspiring in so many ways, not the least of which is seeing what the new iPad technology is capable of offering to young learners. My only "critique" of the app is that my older son is already too far past this. Please bring out more levels soon!! I can't wait to get my younger son started on the early levels. Of all the wonderful things in this app, the most ingenious and inspired use of the iPad to me is the ability for a child to record their own voice while reading a word. Primarily, this allows for instant audio feedback even without a tutor sitting beside the student. Moreover, the very act of touching the screen encourages sounding out each letter or group of letters one at a time, and enforces left to right thinking. I have been recommending this to all my friends. Keep up the good work, and please add more levels!.Version: 1.0

Reading ravenA really good, easy to follow app for pre-school and reception kids with a great mix of activities. Please develop an English voice version!.Version: 1.2.1

Builds my sons confidenceMy son is the type of person who likes to get it right the first time and doesn't want any of mom's coaching. We love Reading Raven. I can see his confidence growing and his word recognition improving. Hearing himself say the word has helped with his pronunciation of letters. Tracing, matching and distinguishing letters are made fun in this ap. I like that the letters are lowercase and that the phonics are being heard..Version: 1.0

This apps great!!!!!Easy to use and kids enjoy it..Version: 1.4.1

Great AppThis is a fantastic app and my 3 year old boy loves it. It starts off fairly easily but progressively gets harder. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the American pronunciation; give us a UK version please!.Version: 1.2.1

Outstanding Reading App!The quick version: this is the most impressive reading app I have ever seen (and we own a LOT of educational apps). We are a house of readers (I am a former English teacher turned lawyer, etc.). My older daughter daughter requested reading lessons from me at age 3. I got the Bob Books, a few parents' guides for teaching reading, some other learn to read primer sets, and we were off to the races. By the time she started kindergarten she was reading easy chapter books independently (Magic Tree House, etc.). My younger daughter, however, is now four but hasn't been interested in sitting down and doing reading lessons like my older daughter. She likes playing educational apps, but most of the ones that teach reading skills are too easy, too hard, or too boring, and none of them really break down the steps of teaching reading into manageable lessons the way this app does. We downloaded this app yesterday and it was like flicking a switch. She finished the first lesson and (against my wishes, I don't want her to burn out/try to cram too much at once) insisted on starting the second lesson. Then I took her upstairs, pulled out the first Bob Book, and she was able to read it to me without much difficulty at all. Amazing! I am so, so impressed with your app: the quality is terrific, the activities are engaging, and my daughter is actually learning to read from playing it. Thank you so much! Wow!.Version: 1.2.1

Must haveOur three and a half year old uses this app every day or two and is starting to sound out words independently. This is the best reading readiness app we have out of the dozen or so tried..Version: 1.2.1

Raving RavenThis is not a bad app at all, my sin has taken to reading and spelling like a duck to water, thumbs up for this app =).Version: 1.1

Fab app reading ravenFab but need an option of English voice please! Educational yet fun, my girls are completely engaged and don't know they are learning whilst playing. Thank you for this app..Version: 1.2.1

Reading Raven double thumbs up!I'm a mother of 2year 9mth old toddler. She's is just a restless toddler who love to keep herself busy with games to play, books to write and many more. With Reading Raven, she has shown a different shade of enjoyment that she's been delighted, not only for a day but everyday. Educational apps such as Reading Raven not only help children to read, listen, write and recognize but also to focus! We might overlook that focusing is vital in every day's life of learning especially in the early stages of child development. Focus is needed for the children to learn right as they are having high anxiety and energy to endeavor more something new. Not to forget to mention, this apps is a fun way for not only the kids, but parents to join and observe their kids progress. You will also find your kids ask you to help (ask for attention) her that he or she's actually showing that he or shes's excelling. Download the apps then you will find your kids will enjoy with building-up confidence. Not a slight doubt to recommend that Reading Raven helps a lot.Version: 1.2.1

Great app for beginner readersThis app is working really well for my five year old son who has been struggling to make the connection between letters and sounds. He enjoys it and has been spending a lot of time on it which is exactly what he needs right now to become more familiar with sounding out simple words...Version: 1.4.1

Great but no multiple playersThis is a great game and my children like it. The problem is that there is not and I cannot seem to find a multiple player option. I have a four and five year old and wish I could set up different users for each (I would even pay extra for this option!) if it had a multiple user function I would give it 5 stars..Version: 1.2.1

JasonI have 3 children aged 2,4 & 5 and they all love this game. It plays and looks outstanding, oh and they are learning reading skills at the same time. 5 out of 5..Version: 1.2.1

Cool appGreat app, I think the pictures that correspond with the words shouldn't be so similar to one another. Example- the word cat has a picture of a cat and the word sat has a picture of the same cat but sitting. My nephew has had a hard time with those and some others. But other than that this app has definitely helped him with reading words..Version: 1.2.1

Excellent early literacy appThis proves to be amusing and educational especially for remedial or early readers..Version: 1.5.0

Great my kids love itThey r learning a lo..Version: 1.4.1

My 5yo is readingMy 5yo is reading thanks to this app! She has never once been frustrated by the app and has been able to do it without help from me (essential for long car rides)! She has learned so much and is putting sounds together and starting to read! I can't wait for this developer to come out with more apps, great work! (I rarely write app reviews, that's how happy I am with this app)..Version: 1.1

Outstanding Phonemic Awareness AppThis has been our district's favorite phonemic awareness app! Even our faithful Earobics teachers love this app! Just today I emailed the developer asking for multiple users and it wasn't 2 hours later, on a Sunday, that they emailed back multiple users was just released and Reading Raven 2 is on it's way!!! Now that's service! They also mentioned assessments were next on their list to tackle! It's all about data! This is a must have app for your reading arsenal! It has longevity, engagement and is very motivating. The activities keep moving to prevent even the shortest attention span from getting bored. Lisa Pospishil-Apple Distinguished Program Leader.Version: 1.4

Reading RavenFrom K-6 teacher. Best app I've seen..Version: 1.5.0

Brilliant for phonics and word learning (UK Parent)This app is great for kids that have started in reception class and upwards,it helps you and your child with phonics letter and word recognition as well as reading £2 we'll spent on this learning aid..Version: 1.4.2

Love!!My three year old LOVES this app. I check back weekly from this specific developer to see if they have made another app because we love reading raven and reading raven 2 sooo much! Please make more games!.Version: 1.5.0

Great Program for Emerging ReadersAs a psychologist who specializes in assessing and treating children with reading disabilities, I am frequently in a position to evaluate different programs to help develop children's skills. Many of them fail to deliver or are not well grounded in theory and/or research. Reading Raven has both theory and research behind its development and it also has educators behind the program with years of experience in developing children's emerging literacy skills. If you are looking for a great iPad program for children's early, emerging skills, this is one I would recommend. Dr. Richard Selznick, Psychologist, Author: "The Shut-Down Learner" and "School Struggles".Version: 1.2.1

BrillMy 4 year old really likes this app and it is very good for learning in an imaginative way. Only downside for an English person is the American accent.Version: 1.2.1

Excellent learning aid for kidsMy son is enjoying this immensely. He likes earning the stickers to go in Raven's tree house. It goes along in an ordered staged way which builds on previous learning. Well worth the money..Version: 1.4.1

Phonics to beginning readingMy 3 year old has gotten a lot out of this. She knew the sounds each letter makes, but this has helped her figure out that those sounds come together to make words. Some of the lessens get really monotonous so I have to stick with her to keep her focused through a whole lessen. But overall a very helpful app in the very earliest stages of reading..Version: 1.4.1

Excellent first reading appWith so many poor reading apps out there, this is just fantastic. I'm an ex teacher and recognize that this app teaches things the right way, gradually building up skills and recognition of phonic letter combinations. Our 4 year old loves it. A++ to the developers..Version: 1.2.1

MrsHave only done level 1am far but my 4 yr old really enjoyed it and was able to recognise the letters and read the words after a session playing..Version: 1.2.1

Excellent for a Struggling ChildMy son has a learning disability and a joint disorder that keeps him from being able to handle normal school routines (memory issues, can't write, etc). This app has helped him tremendously with the phonics and reading he has struggled with this year...all in a format that doesn't strain his hands. We just downloaded RR2, and hope to see more wonderful additions in the future!.Version: 1.2.1

Charming with lots of attention to detailEverything about this app shows a fine attention to detail. The art of the app feels like a high quality children's book, as you can see from the screens. What you can't see, or rather hear, is the excellent audio. The many voices use in the app are warm, inviting, cute and playful. On top of that, there is a rich multilayered background ambient track for the lessens that is engaging and sets the perfect tone. I love it when designers take the time to polish their app..Version: 1.0

Grampa with doctorate in education recommends this appI've been given the task of tutoring my almost six year old granddaughter. She was having trouble with phonics. This is a superior app. Tonight she stayed with the process for over an hour. I've seen an improvement in her level of confidence. My compliments to those who developed this great educational tool. RG.Version: 1.2.1

FantasticVery comprehensive!.Version: 1.4.1

Great reading aideI had to homeschool my son while we were abroad and this app really engaged him and taught him to read without him realizing. I love the different levels, the controls that the child has, the smart way that they have the child trace the letters and the fun interface. The stickers are too many, but my son doesn't seem as bothered as I am..Version: 1.4.1

Best reading appMy four year old would rather play on spiderman than his other abc apps but he LOVES this one! Very engaging, he always keeps choosing to play on it on his own and has completed 4 levels already!.Version: 1.2.1

Fantastic for beginning readersMy 5 year old kindergartner has gained confidence in reading and I have learned was to help him with his reading. My 4 year old is also learning so much about letter recognition and sounds as well. A great program for all! I do wish we could set up different users so they could work on their own pace..Version: 1.2.1

One of the bestThis would have to be one of the best if not the best apps for 4 year olds I have on my phone & iPad and I have over 350 apps. My son loves it. You can set different levels by tapping options and the child gets to very easily record themselves saying the letters, words and sentences as they work through the fun levels..Version: 1.2.1

Reading raven is the best early reader ap we have triedOliver says: "It's good. It helps me learn." As has parents, we agree..Version: 1.4.1

My kids reading has accelerated! My four year old's reading has come on tremendously since playing this game regularly. My two year old twins also like to watch him play (I am sure that they will read at an earlier age than their brother). The content is varied and extensive: we are just starting level 3 (of 5) after several weeks of playing a little, often. My only reservation, as an English man, is the American accent and pronunciations, but this is small beans considering the app's overall value..Version: 1.2.1

Teacher and MomThis app is awesome! Both my child and I loved it!.Version: 1.2.1

Great! My 4 yr old daughter loves this app and is really good at helping her to understand her phonics and learning to read..Version: 1.2.1

Excellent program for little minds!!!!Thank you for such a great, interactive program!.Version: 1.5.0

Reading RavenThis is a wonderful program for helping little children learn to read. The graphics are pleasing to the eye, the voice and sounds more generally are gentle. The fact that there are different levels allows room for the child to grow. My only complaint is that there seems to be a bug in a new feature designed to prevent kids from changing the settings. The program prompts for the answer to a simple math problem, but it's not possible to pull up a keyboard to provide the answer..Version: 1.2.1

Wonderfully interactive reading appThis is one of the most fun and effective apps for toddlers. My 2 1/2 yo grandson has been using this app along with others for several months. He is sounding out words, reading words he knows and is simply delighted when it's his time to use the iPad. We have just downloaded Reading Raven 2 HD and will be posting a review soon..Version: 1.4

Awesome App for early or weak readersI bought this app for my child who is a weak reader. She loved this app! Each level is progressive and builds on the previous exercise. We both loved that you can record your voice so it's your own voice you hear in the playback. Loved that it was your own handwriting when the image was displayed. I personally loved the fact that the app is customizable which means my older child doesn't have to do the preschool stuff, but when my toddlers use the app, they will only work on the preschool items. Highly recommend!!! Hopefully this developer will create more apps like this for grade 1 and up!!.Version: 1.0

Great reading app for preschooler! My son is 5, and will be entering kindergarten. I purchased this app to help him learn and practice reading skills over the summer. He just completed the first lesson, and loved it. Varied content, including tracing letters and words, recording their voice pronouncing words, games where they choose the word that rhymes or starts with the same sound, etc. Nice job on this app. Worth purchasing..Version: 1.2.1

The best phonics-based reading app I have found so far. This app is a dream come true. It is methodical, creative, and has exactly the right amount of repetition. It moves smoothly through early phonics concepts in such an engaging way. There is absolutely nothing I would improve. I have searched for the perfect "learn to read" app for months, and this is the first one that fits completely with our needs. I am so thankful. It would be worth twice or three times the $4 I paid..Version: 1.1

Just what my 5 year old needed!Excellent application that combines game play with reading and rewards! My 4 now 5 year old plays / learns with it throughout her skill growth. She loves the part where you can record yourself reading a word out loud, and giggles back at the recording. Its really helped her along the process. My brother gifted it to my daughter and she thanks "Uncle Brian" every time he's in town and shows him her progress. I'd recommend this to anyone with kids just before and through the early reading stages..Version: 1.2.1

Don't Miss It!What We Liked: Reading Raven is a fantastic, comprehensive phonics app. We use it as a core part of our iPad-based schooling for phonics review and practice with my 7-year-old and for simple, introductory letter sound and tracing activities for my 4-year-old. The huge selection of activities lets you tailor the app for any child, you can use it in countless ways based on your child’s needs rather than moving them through an arbitrary array of exercises. The intensive phonics-first approach is my preferred way of teaching reading. The combination of letter sounds, decoding read aloud recording activities, and tracing the sounds and words being learned come together for a powerful reinforcement of core reading and early writing skills. Not only is the app educationally effective, it’s also delightfully designed – great graphics, animation, and performance all the way around. Don’t miss this one. What We Didn’t Like: The ONLY thing I’d like to see changed with Reading Raven would be to have multiple player profiles available. I have two children using the app, and they both have different difficulty settings and each want their own progress and treehouse to decorate (naturally). My solution right now is to have the app installed on multiple devices and try to keep them away from the one that their progress isn’t on, but that’s tricky. Overall: Finally – a seriously educational app that leads children from early phonological awareness and phonics right up to reading full sentences while integrating printing skills and teaching through games. Reading Raven is an incredible learn-to-read app, easily the best I’ve encountered to date in the App Store. I’m in love, and so are my kids..Version: 1.2.1

Finally a good educational game!My 4 year old son loves this, hes even replaced this with his usual bedtime story book. Very educational and fun at the same time. Clear instructions and easy for young ones to understand and lots Of activities to choose from. Recommend..Version: 1.2.1

Great appThis app is amazing! Both myself and my husband love to see our son using this application. Not only does this help build phonics skills, it also helps to build letter recognition and writing skill. Reading Raven has been perfect for our kindergarten student! I highly recommend this for the beginner reader!.Version: 1.2.1

A great app just got better!I have downloaded more than 800 apps over the years, and Reading Raven is one of just a handful that remain on the home screen for regular use. As a special educator working with K-1 students, this app is a fantastic learning tool. With beautiful graphics and a well designed interface, it is perfect for young beginning readers to practice phonemic awareness, phonics and letter recognition. Now that you can set up individual accounts for each child, it will be even better. Thanks for making a great app even better..Version: 1.4

ExcellentMy son loves this fun app. He is learning his letters and sounds without even knowing it!!!.Version: 1.2.1

My kids love itI have kids that just started school. This app it's exactly what they need to review what had at school. They consider it a game and have great fun..Version: 1.2.1

GreatMy four year old loved this app. Like someone said a UK voice would be nice but her Dads American so we found it was ok. This is the best reading app I have found and uses child speak for letters which surprisingly some don't. Awesome app..Version: 1.2.1

Needs more levels but awesomeJust wanted to let you know this is an Awesome app!!! My daughter loves loves loves playing it. I love what & how it teaches. I am begging you to add more levels though. I have only had it a week & my daughter has finished all 5 levels :( I actually thought there were more when I bought app. Please add more to make this perfect. Thank you.Version: 1.0

Excellent app, my daughter loves itExcellent app, my daughter loves it.Version: 1.2.1

Fantastic! My four-year-old son absolutely loves this game, and I have no issue at all with him playing on it as I can see an improvement in his letter recognition and formation in just a number of days. It has such a variety of activities that he stays focused when playing for some time. He particularly loves the feature which enables him to record his own voice practicing certain words, and then listen to himself back!.Version: 1.2.1

UK voice would be nice as an optionMy three kids (7,5&2) all enjoy this. The American pronunciations throw them occasionally though. I really like that you can rearrange the treehouse whenever you like and skip ahead to whatever game you want, many similar games are very restrictive and that can be off putting..Version: 1.2.1

So far so goodSo far so good. I got this game for my 6yr old daughter that is currently in K. She started playing and at fist it was easy but the game progresses to sentences. She is loving it ! She is liking the rewards and is so far keeping her interested… but she just got it… so with that being said we will see how she keeps up with it. The only problem we have had with the app freezing was during in incoming call. My iPad is linked to my phone and when the phone rang it froze the game. It was an easy fix by closing the app completely and opening it again..Version: 1.4.2
