✓ Convenient way to quiz yourself and good examples to retain informationYou know you'll be using your phone right before sleeping, might as well use it to study for your GRE or just to learn new words, in general! The app itself is a bit buggy, and pausing a video and playing it again removes any video speed increase you may have assigned in the settings. My favorite part is definitely the instructional videos that go in detail into all the types of questions you’ll see and how to approach them. There’s a ton of material in the videos for the quantitative section but there’s always a summary at the end which makes it easy to skip to the end on topics you feel like you already remember pretty well..Version: 5.5.1
✓ Blown awayI’m never one to review apps or really anything but the world needs to know how worth it this program is. I studied pretty hard for the gre without Magoosh the first time I took it and didn’t do great. After watching all the videos and doing the practice I went up a total of 10 points. ✓ Best Money I've ever SpentIf you are serious about studying for the GMAT then this is the App for you. I have tried out other Apps for prep and none compare to this. It is easy for On the Go.. I usually view the videos when I am out and about on the train to work or when I am away from home. It is great to screen shot pics so you can later review and jot down notes. The only bad thing is you cannot do practice Q's as you can on the website - but I am not sure if I would be able to answer Q's on my iphone anyways - a quiet place is best. It also tells you which videos you have viewed and syncs with your version on your computer!.Version: 1.1

✓ Fantastic resource - wish I had found it sooner!This app was the best resource for preparing for the GRE - I wish I had found it months earlier and not just the week before my test! I got the app simply for the practice questions that I could do from anywhere but was amazed by the amount of extra value included - from the explanation videos for EVERY practice question, to the very detailed and very helpful video lessons, I was impressed at the quality and how helpful they all were! I used to be a high school teacher and I was both impressed by the quality of the lessons, and by how much I learned - even about concepts I used to teach! The videos on strategies for solving particular types of word problems and approaching the unique question types on the GRE were really really helpful!.Version: 5.5.1

✓ Great resource for long or short term studyingMagoosh has been an amazing resource for me as I prepare to take the GRE. Whether you are just starting out and want to go over all parts of the test or you just want to focus on a few specific areas, this app makes it really easy to learn new skills or freshen up on old ones. The videos are clear and easy to follow and there are endless practice problems. My favorite part was that it gave you an explanation for each question so you could learn from any mistakes. ✓ So far, so goodMy only complaint so far is that in the math videos, they don’t go over the practice questions at all! This seems pretty counterintuitive to learning. They reveal answers and if you get one wrong or can’t figure out how to use the short cuts to solve them-you just have to move on and not know what your doing wrong or how you’re thinking is wrong..Version: 5.4.3

ProvidesWhen I decided to apply for graduate school I absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of material I need to brush up on and some concepts I needed to completely relearn. I looked for different books and resources, some of which did provide some useful information. ✓ Good product, vocab app formatted for phone and iPad but not the videosIn general Magoosh is a great product the website is very well done both with the videos and the practice questions (in particular the video and text explanations of the answers). The vocab app works well on iPhones and iPads. Though in an iPhone6 the screen is a bit off and you need to scroll down to progress for each word which isn't necessary in smaller iPhone screen The only problem with these apps is that the picture quality of the videos is so weak you can't watch on an iPad. This is weird became we the quality of the same videos is great on the website and the picture quality is fine even on a bigger computer screen. Apart from that all good.Version: 1.3

So even if I understand the content, I watch the video to learn tricks for use on the exam. My only complaint is that the videos skip around a bit. ✓ Nice, but could reflect browser betterI love that I am able to access these videos on my phone. I like to watch them while I work out on the elliptical or if I have downtime away from my computer. The only complaint I have is that it doesn’t show you your lesson plan.
