β Update Ruins AppThe latest version 5.0 changes the interface considerably and ruins what was an excellent app. The map is useless and leaves you staring at the equator where there is no aurora, not at your home location. The POES images of the oval do not update. And the percentage estimate of aurora visibility is of questionable value and takes up too much screen real estate. It includes geometric activity, auroral predictions, Kp outlook, A index, radio flux, solar activities, solar winds and proton flux. For a small fee you can receive alert notifications (great if you live in the area). β You will never miss the Aurora again!It's a fantastic app! If you you don't really know what all the technical stuff means you can still understand when you will see the Aurora or if it is present where you are! Even if you pay the extra on top of downloading the free part of the app it's worth the small change you put in just to get an Aurora alert! This would apply if you will only be far enough north in the Aurora zone for just one time in your life! if you really want to understand all the technical stuff then the website has all the info you need and if you can't find what you are looking for then they will email you very quickly with the links you need! This is the only app to use if you want to see the lights. All of the Aurora zones are catered for and I managed the lights for the first time after many winter visits to Finland!.Version: 1.11
β Alerts no longer editableOn selecting Alerts the app crashes but the app does seem to be US biased in that alerts only come through in daylight hours and the updates seem to finish just before it gets dark here in Scotland.
