Termius: Terminal & SSH client for Positive User Reviews

Very convenientGreat app for connecting to my Raspberry Pi for configuring my own website! Love it!.Version: 4.2.0

Design at its bestI’m a bit of a dilettante in this space, using Termius on my iPhone, Mac, and PC to manage private servers for personal use—such a Plex media server running on a Raspberry Pi, a Minecraft server for friends and I, and a scratch server where I learned C++ on my iPhone while I was without a computer—but even I can see that Termius is beautifully designed, both in its visual polish, intuitiveness, and functionality. This app alone makes me wish I had more servers to manage..Version: 4.6.11

Works wellWorks well for day to day ssh..Version: 4.9.9

Great toolThis is an awesome little app that's got all the core features, including ppk authentication..Version: 2.2.3

Absolutely stellarConstant improvements, even on the free version. Reaard them with a download!.Version: 4.21.1

GreatBest term app..Version: 2.2.1

Brilliant app but unrealistic pricingThis app is brilliant on many plans (smooth, well designed, very stable, etc.), I actually use it as its free version, the features bundled being sufficient for my usage. I very quickly considered upgrading to the paying version as SCP was integrated as well as many other great features. That would have allowed me to integrate several apps I'm currently using into a single one. What a bad surprise however when I saw they would not offer a one-off sell option! I mean, this is ridiculous, a SSH Swiss-army-knife doesn't need to be in the cloud, especially if you don't care much about syncs. Neither it justifies a near-to-$10-per-month bill! Do you guys (I'm addressing de devs) realise that you're asking more money than Adobe does charge for incredibly complex and much more added value software (see Lightroom and Photoshop bundle which are less than $10/month)? I mean, Terminus is an amazing piece of soft, but you gotta be realistic, many people won't fall for your overpriced plans... Just because the Woz gave you a cool review doesn't mean you can charge like Apple would! Anyway, many thanks for the free beer, really hoped you guys would consider a one-off paid version which I would gladly pay for, even if it means no cloud sync icing on the Terminus cake..Version: 4.5.7

Life saverThis app is just brilliant. It’s easy to use, well designed, and extremely efficient. Very happy with the facilities it offers, especially that I can save hosts and access them with a simple tap. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a terminal on the go but still doesn’t want to do it lamely..Version: 4.9.1

Simply just worksI’ve been using this simplistic solution to ssh remotely into all of my machines for ages. It literally just works. Throw an ssl driven Cloudflare setup at it… works. Do random secure access. Works. It literally just works. Each and every time 😀.Version: 5.0.0

SSHAwesome ssh tool for iPhone.Version: 3.3.1

Life saverServer needed urgent restart. Twit in office, then found this app - life saver!.Version: 1.5.4

Good feature split between paid / premiumI appreciate that the free product includes most features I want to use as an individual non-business user, and that most of the premium features are ones designed to support a business use case. It’s kind of crazy to see people complaining about the developer charging subscription pricing for features designed for professional use. Nearly all software used in business today is priced this way, and if this software is bringing you value at work you or your employer should be happy to pay for it..Version: 4.5.2

Great appWorks as expected and easy to use..Version: 2.2.3

Stellar (Free Version)I use the free version and have been pleasantly surprised by the features of the free version and lack of aggressive ads suggesting you upgrade. I am a light user without the need for advanced features so this fits the bill perfectly. The interface is clean and pleasantly/intuitively designed. There is no time out or limit as I have encountered with other terminals in the past. I have been using this regularly for quite some time now and have noticed frequent updates that noticeably improve quality with each update. There is also a companion app for windows that allows you to sync your sessions (I believe this is a paid feature, but convenient ). Both Termius for Windows and IOS are my terminal of choice and with that I would recommend at least the trial, you may be pleasantly surprised as I was..Version: 4.26.5

Fantastic for remote codingI’ve used the free version of Terminus from my iPad for about a year and by now I do pretty much all of my coding through it (I’m a deep learning and robotics researcher for context); as long as you’re comfortable working over ssh, the portability of an iPad coupled with near-universal access to the internet (especially if you have a data plan) makes remote work absurdly convenient. For anyone looking to get the most productivity out of this app, I recommend you also become proficient with tmux (or something equivalent)..Version: 4.6.7

Good but...Great terminal app, just not happy that you’ve made the password paste a subscription only option. Also looks like the price has quadrupled..Version: 4.0.0

One Terminal To Rule Them AllFast, fully featured and robust with a great UI. Been using Termius for years and can’t see any reason to stop. And I’m still only using the free version as my needs don’t justify paying for the Pro features but if that changed I wouldn’t hesitate getting the paid upgrade..Version: 4.7.2

Great AppI’ve always found this app very useful. The keyboard and shortcuts are great. Port forwarding is a great feature too; I use it all the time to access internal websites. The previous version was crashing on my iPhone 8, iOS 13.3 - but the devs fixed the problem in the latest release..Version: 4.5.3

BrilliantIf you need SSH on your IOS device this is the App you need. I would buy an IOS device just to use this App for my SSH sessions..Version: 4.9.10

GreatUse it all the time to do minor management..Version: 4.9.9

Incredibly useful appAmazingly convenient. I log into my network over vpn and keep working on my linux servers just as I do with my macbook. Handy not having to carry anything more than a phone..Version: 4.0.0

Great App, Bad Pricing ModelI love this app, and use it several times per week to mess around with my raspberry pi. It's very well-designed. I would also love some of the premium features like autocompletion, and would be happy to pay for them. Unfortunately, the minimum non-free pricing is a $9/month subscription! I definitely get value out of this app, and would probably pay up to $20 for a lifetime unlock of premium features. But I just can't justify a subscription. TO THE DEVELOPER: Please add an intermediate premium tier with a one-time purchase option. Maybe premium but without sync?.Version: 4.5.4

Must have for systems adminsI have been using Termius on all my iOS devices. Though I wished they had a 1 off payment option coz the app is that good and they deserve the payment. I love the sync option and this is one of the best ssh apps I have ever used. NOTE: I am using the free version and would be willing to pay for a cloud sync service through iCloud but as a 1 time payment for individual users where it syncs to their cloud server and restores/updates from there. The developers stand a chance to make money by braking the services to have some that are monthly(for business and teams) and some that are one off (for individuals).Version: 4.11.8

Meilleur outilMeilleur shell gratuit sur iOS. Aucune pub ou contrainte gênante forçant l’achat..Version: 4.13.8

Great free option for command line terminal on the ipad or iPhoneLong time user of terminus - It’s been so long I forget the program I used to use before terminus. But it was discontinued. And so terminus filled the gap, and I have been happily using it ever since. It has a nice interface. Good features, such as ssh-keys. It works really well over VPN. It’s served me well. I appreciate that they have made a free option available all this time with few limitations. I will consider paying the full version to help support them..Version: 4.11.0

Great appVery good best 1 I've used thus far.Version: 1.5.2

PerfectI can’t say anything less than perfect, although it’s a bit pricey for personal use!.Version: 4.10.9

Really great app, but I have some suggestionsI’ve been using Termius for a long time now because of how easy it is to ssh into servers on mobile devices using Termius, but what I think could be added is the ability to edit files in SFTP, as while I can edit files using nano, I’d much rather edit it on my phone where I can easily go to places in the file and not be limited by the server (backspace speed, etc) Overall experience: really great!.Version: 4.8.5

Best terminal app…and it’s free!.Version: 4.9.10

Very goodVery useful, good emulation, using it to connect to my raspberry pi..Version: 4.10.2

Great AppGreat UI and works as expected..Version: 3.3.0

Far too expensive!Should maybe only be $10 a year, not $100!.Version: 4.1.1

Great AppI use it several times a week to keep an eye on personal servers and AWS instance on my phone or iPad. Access with or without ssh keys, clear interface, user friendly terminal interface. Great App..Version: 3.4.0

Great Terminal App for iPadThis is a GREAT terminal app for the iPad (especially when using the new Magic Keyboard). I don’t have to regularly ssh onto servers (just my local NAS and VPS from time to time), but when I do this really comes in handy! Unfortunately, since I don’t have a regular need for SSH (outside of work), I can’t really justify the subscription cost. I get everything I need out of the free version, but I wish I could pay the developer SOMETHING for how great this app is! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an SSH Client or CLI Solution app!.Version: 4.6.0

Love itEasy to use; adaptive keyboard; excellent for a quick check.Version: 4.8.2

Does what it says on the boxDoes what it says on the box.Version: 4.7.2

Pretty Great but Lacks One ThingOverall, the experience with Termius is incredible. Often I’ll SSH into another computer to do my work, and Termius has made the experience nearly flawless. LOVE: - Keep Alive works extremely well - Remapping Caps Lock — I remap to ESC because of the iPad Keyboard/Trackpad case lacks ESC. - Having ^B as a UI button — I’m a heavy tmux user, and it can be handy. - Port Forwarding — This has been randomly handy working with containers. - Being able to really customize the on-screen keybind buttons to a lot of pretty useful things. - Sync across all devices that can run the app. LIVE WITH: - The subscription model feels a bit steep, but overall the app is polished enough to justify. ROOM TO IMPROVE: - “Custom” / “Better” Themes! Even supporting the community’s “iTerm2-Color-Schemes” (GitHub) list of themes. The project has been great about adding in “exports” for other applications. Even being able to tweak the standard color set would be a huge step up. For example, the blue can be way too dark on the darker backgrounds. - Nerd Font Symbol support - Ligature Support.Version: 4.11.1

Exceeds expectationsThis app never ceases to amazing in how the authors have addressed the limitations of terminal on a phone with the right things in the right places in the right ways! Almost like they use it in ever themselves 😉🤗 Very impressed. Read the help, there’s a lot in there..Version: 5.1.0

Probably the best SSH/SFTP Client on iOSTermius is tough to beat when it comes to a clean, feature-rich SSH client for iOS. Everything else seems to not have as much polish or the barrier to entry costs more. Previously, the SFTP access was locked behind the subscription but has recently became a free feature. The subscription still exists and offers extra features like Touch ID & cross-device sync, but if you only use it for basic SSH access on a couple devices, it’s more than great with the free tier if you don’t mind re-adding your hosts on each device (I don’t really)..Version: 4.11.4

Hmmmmm ...Worked fine yesterday, but hung up with "Waiting" on the app icon today. I had to delete and reinstall to get it to work, and lost all the customization, groups, and hosts I had put in. Not good. Not terrible, either, but I sure wouldn't want to have to regenerate all the configs while I was, say, on a long trip. A way to export and import the configs would be REALLY handy. I work in computer security, and have to wonder if the developers keep up with the latest problem reports..Version: 4.9.10

Everything I needNice interface, easy to configure.Version: 4.9.9

Excellent app!Has everything I needed to get me out of a few sticky situations!.Version: 1.5.4

Best free SSH client on iOSThis is a great SSH client, with support for saving identities, key generation, and port forwarding even in the free version. The only downside is sessions cannot stay open in the background for more than 3 minutes, but that is a limitation of iOS itself, not Termius. I also wish it advised users to use SSH instead of Telnet the first time they use it because Telnet is unencrypted and you should really avoid using it if at all possible. I use Termius for connecting to my Debian server when I don't have my computer on me and need to do something that I can't do through the Webmin interface. The port forwarding feature comes in handy when I need to do something like connect to said Webmin interface remotely or use OpenVPN in public places when it is blocked (Surprisingly, I have run into this problem before, at an airport). Overall, a great app if you have a server and don't want to carry a computer around to access it..Version: 3.5.1

Incredibly helpful and user friendlyI own 2 Macs and a server on AWS. I was struggling to find a way to access to them from my phone. Termius makes it incredibly easy to do that and I can continue to work or use scripts and programs on my commute to work. Especially I can run some Python data science script from everywhere! The Snippets feature is one of my favorite as I’m not an expert in bash commands and I used to save them in my notes. Overall an amazing app.Version: 4.7.8

Fails to connect to telemate session1. Have a tmate.io session 2. Try to connect via ssh Get a “ Unable to exchange encryption keys” Otherwise great app..Version: 4.5.3

IPad Pro 10.5 with Keyboard buggySo while I like what I see with this terminal emulator -- it certainly has a lot of great features, I'm using it with IOS 10.3 and the new Pro 10.5. Using the apple external keyboard, causes scrolling to go off the screen, unless you tap the one line keyboard shortcuts away. If you background the app and then foreground it again, the shortcut bar is on top of the screen but missing all the icons. Tapping the screen twice fixes it and brings it to the bottom. Needless to say, external keyboard support needs a help with this release, but otherwise a feature rich program. Wish it supported RS232 via a Redpark Cable..Version: 3.4.0

Simply works. Works simplyI use this to ssh into several different machines around my house. I can reboot a server in the middle of the night, etc. Mostly a drawback of the limited screen size on the phone, but I find myself frequently going between portrait and landscape, to get the keys I want available on the on-screen keyboard. Also, I wish a few keys (del) would auto repeat better. All in all, quite usable, which few iPhone ssh programs can actually claim..Version: 4.7.2

Good app but Tab button needs attentionThis app is great and I have been using it for years. Back before it changed names, the tab was easily accessible. Now it’s hidden away and tab is a sysadmins best friend..Version: 4.3.1

Amazing toolLove it. Highly customisable. Combine with a VPN and it can remotely manage my servers and home. Shake as Ctrl-C is a good example of a productive customisation you can do easily..Version: 4.7.2

As a Linux / Cisco administrator - awesomeAn app that rarely comes with no ads etc, I’d still happily pay for this. It’s PuTTY for your iDevice. Very feature rich, yet simple to use. I deem myself a fairly advanced user - and haven’t been stuck with a lack of functionality to date. Highly recommended..Version: 4.6.10

Termius is great.Termius is excellent. I’ve been using it for a year or so. It supports TrueColor. It handles Unicode well. The UI for configuring new hosts is clear and straightforward. It has the best UI by far for setting up port forwarding, making a process with lots of confusable details fairly straightforward. It has great integration with the iOS keychain for managing secrets, like passphrases for encrypted private SSH keys. So, yeah, it’s one of the more expensive SSH clients on iOS. But you’re not paying for nothing. It’s got many features, solid support for subtler aspects of good terminal functionally, and (most rare of all) excellent user interface design that makes it easy to use..Version: 4.7.5

It just worksI’ve been using only free version of the app and it just works without any fuss or issues..Version: 4.4.1

AwesomeProbably the best mobile ssh client ive used.Version: 3.3.1

Almost thereI use this app to administer my Linux/Raspberry Pi systems on my home network and it works wonderfully. My one complaint is the delay when switching apps. When I first open or switch into the app it will not allow input for around 5 seconds or so. This is frustrating if you are following troubleshooting or installation instructions from a webpage, because every step gets needlessly delayed. It’s not enough to stop using the app, but it’s annoying enough that it should be addressed. Otherwise, love this app..Version: 4.3.1

Works as expectedHave not encounter any problems or limitations that would send me back to the App Store looking for an alternative..Version: 4.9.9

Great clientThis is much like the PuTTY client I know on PC. Great to have this on iPhone for remote management. Thank you!.Version: 4.15.0

GreatFunctional and aesthetic. This is currently my most used app, great job devs..Version: 3.4.0

Almost perfectI love the app, but on ipad pro with keyboard via smart connector, it seems problem when switching between apps in side by side mode. Terminus will not allow keyboard input until the connection is exited and re-entered! This didn’t use to be a problem only the last two updates.Version: 4.0.4

ReviewHonestly the best app, love the colours and all the features, would love to be able to change icons for different servers added though! Other than that, I rate it 10/10.Version: 4.0.6

Great! This is a great app! I use it all the time, especially when I am not near a terminal. Or even when I'm near one but just want to do a spot check. You can set up identities and keys. I just configured it to use RSA public key encryption. I can associate the key with a login and use that configuration to login. Very easy! You can also save multiple configurations for the different hosts and logins you need. I can now admin my system from anywhere. At dinner, on the trail, or anywhere I have my phone, or tablet, and internet. You customize your view so different terminal sessions can easily be distinguished. There is also a handy history log of all your login sessions. I don’t need sftp, but that can be added for the price of a subscription ($10 / year, I believe). For that price you also get snippets (macros), fingerprint recognition, plus more. (Edit) There was a keyboard issue that made ‘shift’ characters hard to enter (caps/special chars/etc) (There was a workaround, but inconvenient). This was fixed, so I keep my 5-star rating. There is a lot packed into this FREE app! Very nice!.Version: 3.5.2

Best terminal, but the pricing...Far and away the slickest terminal app, with a clean UI that blows the competition away. The subscription kills it for me though, just let me make a one-time payment. In the age of $5 - $10 subscriptions everywhere, a terminal can’t justify a slice of that for personal use..Version: 4.6.8

Use Everyday For Work!I am a Network Architect, and I use this app on my iPhone and my iPad to be able to do everything besides the most intensive day-to-day stuff. It is literally life changing for me - as a fully remote worker, because it gives me the freedom to take full advantage of working from home (not being tethered to a single device / a single computer / sitting at a desk, etc. I highly recommend Termius as my go-to terminal emulator on iOS devices for all of your networking needs..Version: 4.10.2

The bestEasily the best terminal app I've come across. That it's free is even better..Version: 2.2.2

Saved my day!Whilst out travelling I needed a quick free SSH client to connect to a remote server from my iPad as it was all I had with me. Installed Termius and within 10 minutes I was connected to the server and fixed the problem. Many thanks - will be keeping his one installed :-).Version: 4.5.2

Best free sshThis is one of the best SSH clients for iOS. Handles more encryption and key types than many others and has reasonable terminal support..Version: 3.0.1

Excellent app to work with remote serversI can’t believe that Terminus is that excellent before I actually use it. I now can fully use my iPad Pro as a device for work, with the full potential to run most of my jobs on remote servers. Highly recommended..Version: 4.9.8

Excellent piece of softwareLove this app, even though I don’t use it for work - it is absolutely brilliant for the one-off connection to my home servers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other folks..Version: 4.9.9

Raspi PiIt’s good for quick access to my piiiiiiiii’s brooooooo. Just totally sshing into my stack of pi’ssssssssss. From wan or lan I’ll ssh into anything bro no ones going to protect those sweet juicy ports when I’m around. I’m gonna get up in everyone’s ports!!.Version: 3.6.0

Most excellentI use this to remote manage a server located in another country, it works great. I’ve tried a few other apps but this one is best, I recommend you try it..Version: 4.11.4

A very functional SSH terminal appI have not had any issues with this app, in fact it has made it just way I use SSH on a desktop computer. I managed to work around the limitations of the iPad very quickly. The keyboard functions are a bliss, with some customisable keys. I have been connecting to my Linux PC, and Raspberry Pi with ease. Absolutely Awesome!.Version: 3.5.1

This is such a great app! This is one of the best designed apps I’ve ever owned. I often need to connect to raspberry pi’s running 3D print servers, and it’s actually more convenient to make config tweaks using my phone or iPad than just grabbing a laptop in another room. The fact that I can make edits to config files on a server from my iPhone is cool, but not earth-shattering. The fact that it’s not just possible with this app, but actually useful, fast, and not annoying is a testament to how well it is designed. Bravo!.Version: 4.7.5

Wonderful!I’m relatively new to coding and the terminal, but this app is great. It’s simple to set up and does exactly what you need. I use it to access the terminal on my Raspberry Pi and to manage a Python/Flask web app - all works as expected. One suggested change would be a margin around the main text, as it runs right to the edges of the screen. A margin might improve readability just a little..Version: 4.7.2

Best Terminal App!I never really thought I’d be able to easily use ssh from a phone, the onscreen keyboard layout doesn’t really make typing lots of commands very easy in the way that a pc keyboard does. Terminus somehow gets round this and makes it really easy to do sysadmin tasks from anywhere!.Version: 3.6.3

Needs better entries sharingIt needs more flexibility with sharing host groups with and without credentials between multiple teams..Version: 4.11.8

BestSimply fantastic. The free version is almost ads free (to be honest I can’t tell where and when ads get on the way), can save aliases an passwords, does ssh. Seriously, why would you need more on a phone/tablet? I use it to console my home Pi and run a wakeonlan script for a home lab server that takes around 7/8 mins to boot up completely. Works perfectly and usually takes literally 5 seconds from starting the app to closing it..Version: 4.0.9

Really fantastic for a free appI wish I could give them money for a few extra features without having to subscribe monthly for things. Maybe the free app should be 99p? I’d certainly have paid that for the functionality and use I’ve gotten out of it. Pro tip: especially good for Raspberry Pi users who need to quickly do stuff without going on to an actual computer..Version: 3.5.1

Makes remote working a breezeThis app allows me to not just check on my servers, but also to run simulations from anywhere and the multiple tabs allows me to transfer files between servers whilst out of the office. This app makes life so easy and I highly recommend it..Version: 3.4.0

My go to terminalI’m a software engineer and use Termius to ssh and/or mosh to my Mac in my office. I use it many hours each day, seven days a week. I’m very happy with the current version. I do have one currently unresolved issue — when I run Termius on my iPad Pro and split the screen with a second app, I cannot get keyboard focus back into the terminus terminal window after using the 2nd app. Using termius in split screen mode requires a lot of patience to continually unsplit the screen as a workaround for focus. Termius support has told me it will be fixed in the next couple of weeks. I do appreciate the quick response..Version: 4.6.8

👍👍👍.Version: 4.9.10

One small tweakPerfect! Well, almost. The app will close the connection if you are not active for a short time. But I have to say, that's my ONLY complaint. Make that timeout a bit longer and it is absolutely perfect. Not just a "good" app.... there is nothing even close! That makes it absolutely essential. Whatever flaws it may have, such as the short timeout, are grin and bear it because there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that even comes close. I give it double the number of stars above..Version: 4.6.10

Very handyVery handy little terminal letting me manage my servers over ssh. I wish it had a local terminal emulator too, but its great at what it does.Version: 4.13.9

ON FREE VERSION AND IS STILL THE BOMBThis app is an amazing TELNET,SSH,MOSH app. No ads. I use it all the time for my nas server and my Pihole. Keep up the good work!😆.Version: 4.7.2

Termius is amazingThis should be an editors choice app. I have used Termius on all my devices for managing hundreds of servers for quite a while now. I can say with confidence it is the best application of its kind out there right now. However, there is one critical issue. We will be implementing ProxyCommand with cloudflare for security on our servers, but ProxyCommand it is not implemented in either the Linux or iPhone apps. We won’t be able to use Termius anymore unless it’s implemented. I love this software and I really don’t want that to be the case 😢.It would definitely be extremely appreciated if this could be implemented! Thank you so much!.Version: 4.11.9

Great for SSH connectionRecommend for anyone wanting to remote connect to a Linux server..Version: 4.19.0

Fantastic utilityVery competent SSH client. Easy to configure, including for instances that need public keys. The killer feature for me: works on PC/Mac/iOS/Android and the config syncs automatically between all my devices. Add a connection profile on one device, it’s immediately available on the others. Great for anybody who uses multiple devices. Add a new profile on one device, it’s immediately available on the others. 5 stars for sure..Version: 4.8.0

Great, but over pricedYou app is great, as a free app, but seriously over priced for the premium version. I’d probably have paid a £20 life time upgrade, but £7.99 a month? Why, what you get is not worth it, and before you say it’s for the cloud access, just let people use iCloud, we trust that, we don’t know if you are trust worthy or not..Version: 4.7.3

Best iOS SSH client I've ever usedI've been searching for a long time for a really good SSH client for iOS. I've bought and tried quite a few and none are a patch on this one. OK - its not cheap but it 'just works' and does everything I want. The longer I use it the more I like it. Totally reliable and with a very easy to use interface..Version: 3.5.1

So far so goodNot in love with how much they simplified things, I wish the interface was clearer.Version: 4.25.0

Useful, Login from AnywhereIt’s a really useful tool for me to remotely log in from anywhere and have administrative access to my linux servers. It performs well and I’ve had no problems with it at all. It’s really a pleasure to use..Version: 4.10.9

Great but costlyFeature wise and all that jazz is great. Stable, reliable, customisable... only positive things. But the pricing is whey to high. There should be an option to sync your credentials at least via iCloud or such. And keep the rest for pricing tiers. Grateful to still be able to use it for free..Version: 4.14.2

Nearly there...This is a great product for a low end user like myself. I just use it to connect to my Raspberry Pi. The interface needs some improvements, and the long awaited feature to duplicate Hosts will never come to early!.Version: 4.6.2

Does what I expect and more.I don’t often need an ssh client on my phone but when I do Termius has been exceptional..Version: 4.9.9

We need a mid pricing scheme.First of all, this is a fabulous piece of work and invaluable for a business environment. I am a programmer and personal power user that uses Termius to manage my systems at a museum as a volunteer. I need 2 or 3 premium abilities. A no support one time purchase or half price “non profit” package would be great. I do appreciate what I can do in Termius in the free version but I want part of the rest. Thanks for the work. I know what it takes. Steve Eddy.Version: 4.13.9

Best terminal app - shame about the subscriptionThis is by far the best terminal emulator on the app store. I use it most days for hours at a time. It helps my workflow and is constantly being improved. Agent forwarding works great and the mosh support makes mobile life less annoying. I would highly recommend this app if you need to do any terminal work. It loses a star due to the subscription model. Whilst I understand that this brings in a revenue stream for the developer it puts me right off. I would rather pay a one-off premium (£20 or so) to access these features instead of tying myself into yet another subscription..Version: 3.5.1

Good Free SSH ClientI tried a few SSH clients but settled on this one for use on an iPhone. Key importing is a bit tricky, but if you don’t need SFTP and just a terminal this is pretty configurable and does everything I need. With port forwarding I can even get my remote Windows or Linux desktops up on the iPhone. Basically this is a very nice SSH client... I’d recommend it..Version: 4.6.5

Great stuffGreat and awesome app to carry everywhere you want and use it to connect at anytime to your server through the ssh client it provides. No needs to carry your laptop with you all along the day. Just click on the app on you your screen and type some informations and you’re connected to your server as if you were with you laptop. I completely recommend it to everyone who is looking for something small and robust..Version: 4.3.5

Great terminal appAs bad as trying to work a terminal over a mobile phone could be Termius is definitely up there with making the best out of a bad situation! It has lots of thoughtful features that were clearly the result of years of active development effort..Version: 4.9.2

The future is hereI’ve been using SSH since Putty.. unfortunately putty is still used! Welcome to Termius... it’s literally changed how I interact with my servers. Couldn’t recommend it more! It’s a necessity for anyone who remotely interacts with servers. The snippet features are just insane, and the UI is beautiful..Version: 4.6.8

Awesomeness!All I need….Version: 4.16.0

Excellent AppA very nice approach to handling control and escape sequences. Very usable application.Version: 1.5.4

So handy!I run many embedded Linux machines across a large site. It’s so convenient to be able to connect to them over ssh or sftp and say “Hi” without needing to lug my laptop around. Absolutely worth whatever I paid for this..Version: 4.24.0

Handy and easy to useUse this to do some simple monitoring work when I’m on my phone. SSH to the remote server with full functionality !.Version: 4.10.3

Great free app, subscription is way overpricedNot much to say. It’s a terrific free app for use as an ssh client. Can’t fault in any way. However the subscription pricing is ludicrous. 60dollars a year? Half the features locked away are certainly useless for 90% of users, so even if they justify this pricing you pay for a bunch of features that just aren’t useful. A 2 tier pricing system would be preferable with appearance options and syncing behind a lower tier and others (ie additional protocols) behind the current subscription pricing. I use this app daily, but the pretty basic features I want are lumped together with a load of extensive but specialised features I would never use and so can’t justify a subscription..Version: 4.5.1

A handy and well designed appWouldn’t want to miss this app on any of my iOS devices to quickly manage a remote system via SSH. Key based auth. and grouping is well supported and designed..Version: 4.11.1

Fantastic app for SSHIncredible app for SSH with a great built-in SFTP tool. Themes could use a bit more customizability though!.Version: 4.10.3

Excellent SSHEasy to import key file, easy to use!.Version: 4.9.9

Great app, and quick supportI’ve been using the free version of this app for years, and it’s always been very stable. A recent update stopped it working for me, I raised a case, and within 12 hours a fix had been rolled out, with excellent communication and an apology! Great company, app and support - can highly recommend..Version: 4.11.4

Cool appThanks!.Version: 1.3.0

Occasional users… read the user guideI’ve not found a more functional and feature-rich ssh client for iOS. I don’t use Termius often, mainly because tapping on a phone is challenging, especially for long strings of commands that must be syntactically correct. Termius tries to help with that with Gestures mode (among other usability features), which you can conveniently toggle on/off. You’ll want to pay attention to that though—I wasn’t aware of the feature and it felt as though I was unable to scroll in the terminal pane (couldn’t see the entirety of command output). Same too with some necessary iOS input accommodations like “locking” the <CTRL> key in order to allow, say, <CTRL>-c. If you phone buzzes and it’s not behaving like you expect. Check for some of those other keys!.Version: 4.11.0

BrilliantI cant compare to others as I’ve never needed to find one. I have all my nodes listed and it connects with pre-saved credentials. I’ve been using this for years. Fantastic.Version: 4.9.9

Outstanding! No idea how I got by before I discovered Termius for iOS. It’s one of the most used and useful apps on my device..Version: 4.8.1

Great SSH terminalI use this to get SSH access to my Rasberry Pi2 and MSi Cubi-N from my iPad Air2 and iPhone SE. It works great. It is also good to see a new innovative releases. I love it and use it all the time. The app is being made better with every release..Version: 3.4.0

Good ash clientIf you know what you want this for, it does what you want..Version: 4.9.1

Great free app, pro too expensiveBrilliant, reliable SSH app, certainly the best I’ve tried so far (and I’ve tried a few). Sadly I am once again looking for an alternative — I’d love to use (and pay for) the pro features, but the pro version is just massively too expensive for this kind of app. A sensible one-off payment, or possibly a much lower subscription, and I’d have upgraded long ago..Version: 4.6.7

Great App.Thank you.Version: 4.9.9

Really good app i my opinionWorks well to remote into my Linux VMs.Version: 4.9.10

Fantastic terminalExtremely useful for keeping your sever running with only access to a mobile device. Has a lot of great features and seems reliable..Version: 4.9.10

Pretty solidIt’s pretty good, gives a good unified interface across many devices. It’s expensive for what it is though; if you were just using this on desktop use FileZilla and putty and you’re set, but I know no one is maintaining something like this on iPad for cheap..Version: 4.13.9

This app is great and so easy to useI use this app to ssh into my laptops so I can get some real work done (thanks apple for putting a M1 in an iPad with such a limited OS). It handles keys and whatnot in such an easy to use manner. It’s a bummer that iPadOS kills anything in the background after 20 seconds so you can’t leave this app if you want to keep a connection open. Overall though, this app does nearly everything I want. It would be cool if we could have split windows like tmux/iterm..Version: 4.8.5

NicrReally nice. The only thing is the paid version which is abusive for a simple ssh terminal.Version: 4.10.5

FantasticIf I could give this 10/5 stars I would! It’s free, ssh and Telnet work perfectly. Has a dark mode and a customisable keyboard - what more could I ask for? Great application..Version: 4.3.7

FantasticGreat app. Good layout and customisable hotkeys. Good idea to integrating swipe gestures. Works well. Loving it..Version: 2.2.1

Great SSH ShellTermius is a joy. It is a breeze to install, easy to use, 100% reliable, and visually appealing to boot. One minor issue is that the edit server buttons are a bit unintuitive—some explanatory labels would be nice to have. Another feature that could be helpful is feedback on failed connections: I stumbled a bit while configuring Termius to access my server via both a domain and an intranet because the software did not report whether it tried to connect through the intranet or through the open web..Version: 4.0.5

Perfect app - a bit shady review proddingI am a paid subscriber. It is cheap for what it does and it does it very well. I would have given 5 stars but docked a star for the following. The app asks you what you think of the app and gives you some smiley/frown faces to pick from. I picked the max smiley face. Then it asks if I would review the app and I said yes because it is an amazing app. It then pops up a screen to where you can give it 1-5 stars and looks like an Apple rating. I give it 5 stars and then it has a button "for Write a Review". I think I would not and skip that and then it just goes away. I then check on Apple and no ratings are there. So, they are basically tricking people to get them to Apple ratings only if they are already loving it. So the ratings here will be skewed by this..Version: 4.21.1

Brilliant SSL clientIve been using Termius for over a year as a paid user and it’s my go to SSL terminal. Well worth it. (Just for the snippets) I use it on iPad, iPhone and Mac. Highly recommended - take it for a spin, you won’t regret it.Version: 4.10.5

Fantastic appReally enjoy the app and the features available, most easiest ssh application with features other ssh clients don’t support like Port Forwarding, SFTP and etc. Would it be possible to add an feature to allow multi servers to be added automatically possibly with an json api. For example name,host,ssh_pubkey, user..Version: 4.6.8

Good but not perfectI still use iterm2 as my go to ssh client. Termius looks nice but is not as flexible. I like having a hot key terminal ready to go The sync option could be very handy but I find it doesn’t sync frequently and don’t know how to force the sync. I find my new digital ocean servers don’t appear for ages. Very frustrating I’ll keep Termius around and hope it fixes the sync issues.Version: 4.18.0

It’s goodSolid, just works..Version: 4.10.0

Great for managing home infrastructureI use Terminus to manage both my Mac Mini and my array of Raspberry Pis as well as my remote VPS. Brilliant interface, support for SSH and Mosh, and support for SSH keys (including generation) makes this my go-to app for remote management. Love it!.Version: 4.9.5

Great ssh / terminal appI've been using it for a long time and almost every day at one point or another. It's interface is fluid and easy to follow. There no fighting with termcap settings and genuinely for me it just works. It has a lot of features and support for things that I have not had a need to use on my ipad (port forwarding, pubkey auth for example) and really all the basic and not so basic features you would want with an SSH client. Anyone looking for a ssh client should really give this a go you won't be disappointed..Version: 4.10.7

Perfect all in one appUsed this to mosh/ssh into a google compute engine flawlessly. SSH Tunneling (port forwarding) works perfectly with safari as well for my Rstudio server. (Had a minor bug on iPad where my kernel wouldn’t connect to my Jupyter notebooks on my other server, but it’s probably nothing to do with this app and more to do with iOS, since the ssh tunnel worked fine as far as being able to connect to the jupyter server). There’s even an unexpectedly convenient workaround for keeping your ssh tunnels open in the iOS background through the location tracking option. Everything I could have asked for as a first timer working with servers. Amazing job Termius team!.Version: 4.5.2

Great ssh client.Even without premium this is a great way to get in and run commands..Version: 4.7.3

Very well made appIs super clean, love the design. Well written app. I wished there was one time pay option to remove faceid restriction only or certain elements. but the app works amazingly either way. Inspiring design..Version: 4.7.9

Manage My Linux Home ServerI’ve used this app for a long time now, its been rock solid for managing my Linux home server and on occasion a friends server. Never had any serious issues, and I’ve used the SFTP a few times to get or upload files which is pretty sweet extra. The app is everything I need for free, don’t see why you’d use any other app if you only need shell access to your server. Thanks for making it :D.Version: 5.2.0

Very easy to useThe key script and keyboard additions make it exceptionally easy to use.Version: 2.1.0

Need to fix background connectionsPrompt has resolved with there connection manager work around, using GPS work around, need todo the same here. I think you need to put this at the top of the help page, Because I looked at this page however I didn't read the very last sentence on the entire page because I didn't think 'History' had anything todo with resolving connection issues..Version: 4.5.2

Wow... premium is expensive!App is effective. The lack of a keep-alive is painful at times, but it does the job for me >90% of the time. Premium “subscription” is now $60/year. While my essential needs are satisfied by the free version, the price really seems like gouging, especially since it used to be much lower. Too bad, as I would prefer to support the developer, but that is a lot to pay for occasional use and some features I don’t really want. $30 for lifetime is more in my budget, understanding that most lifetimes are a couple years at most..Version: 4.7.8

It’s a pretty good app - but needs one off purchaseThis is the type of app that I want to support. I’d love to give a one-off payment to support, however the subscription cost is absolutely astronomical / bonkers for what this app is! So unfortunately, you’ll never receive a cent from me. I think there’s lots of people out there with homelabs or those that like to tinker, but at $200+ a year for this app… there’s just no way people will cough up! I 100% believe you’re missing out revenue. Consideration should be made around tiering your product around - a free version, one-off payment version, and subscription version. Even if features were gated off by versions, i.e. new features wouldn’t be made available to those that made the “one off payment version”, unless they buy the new version..Version: 4.16.0

No problems at allThe only feature that I think is missing is the ability to have multiple concurrent sessions.... maybe I’ve just not found it.Version: 4.3.12

Perfect, my most used appLove it, use it every day to access multiple servers on my iPad Pro. Now that I have a physical keyboard, this is my most used app..Version: 4.3.4

My go toI use this both on my mobile devices and my Windows computer to connect to my server running Ubuntu Server 15.04. It works great and might even replace Terminal ssh on my Mac at some point..Version: 2.0.0

Does the jobJust one recommendation, please do a connection check to port 22 before asking to put username and password everytime.Version: 4.11.9

Great AppAfter using this app for a while I was surprised at how well it functioned and how smooth / easy to use the interface is. Would recommend!.Version: 4.0.4

Outstanding free offering, but...??Well done. A really good terminal. Not sure who the subscription is aimed at but if the model is to get rave reviews for the freebie to drive corporate subs, so be it: it's a great terminal which understands iOS properly, with a thoughtful interface, good keyboard and solid terminal emulation. I'd love some of the non-hosted features, and would even pay for them, so long as they were mine to keep, but the price is way more than I could commit to as an individual..Version: 4.9.6

Exactly what I wantedKeeps the connection open, supports unicode and emoji on the command line, looks good and behaves how you'd expect. An essential tool for anyone who lives in the terminal and wants to do so on iOS..Version: 3.6.3

Almost thereTermius has long been a quality app, well written and well designed from a UX point of view. Unfortunately it is another casualty of the "great subscription revolution" that offers no perpetual payment option, instead requiring subscriptions. I would happily spend money on this product if it was perpetually priced, but with a subscription model, I will stick with Free. If you can survive around the locked out features in the Free tier, this is an excellent choice. Otherwise, find an alternative with perpetual pricing..Version: 4.8.2

Great s/wEasy to use + fairly intuitive. Maybe cheaper solutions but this works well for me..Version: 4.10.3

Great App, but can’t afford paid versionThis is a great app which I use to connect to three Raspberry Pi’s in my house to do updates etc. It’s really slick. But for what I use it for, it’s too expensive to subscribe. I get it — if you’re managing 100s of linux servers for some company then maybe…. But I’m just a guy who tinkers with Raspberry Pi’s. So I use the free version! (Which is still great!).Version: 4.17.0

SSH to Single Board computers from ipad cliTerminal or Command Line Interface are apparently not natively available to ipad users. This "Terminus App", (please note spelling is not Terminal), provides an intuative coding enviroment. It is very easy to use. If you are new to controlling one computer over wifi using SSH, there are good tutorials on utube etc. The main advantage, is that your ipad screen becomes the monitor of another computer, provided it is already connected to your home wifi. This can be especially usefull if the second computor is not hooked up to its own monitor. The concept of SSH has many more advantages to explore, eg encripted file sharing between the said two computers. Oh and with Terminus, "one ipad, to control them all!" In the sense that, if i have a bunch of, in my case fun single board computers, i can seamlessly switch to controlling them all, individually via Terminus. This is because, once set up, Terminus remembers SSH initialization IP addresses and passwords etc. Again, if any of these terms are unfamiliar, easy tutorials are to be found on the internet. Cheers.Version: 4.14.2

Superb softwareI’ve never used free software of this quality. One day if I get serious about coding I hope to subscribe..Version: 4.3.6

SSH serverSimple tool to connect SSH server. Like it..Version: 4.10.0

It's very goodBut arguably some shortcut features suitable for the reduced typing capabilities in iOS might make it even better..Version: 2.1.0

Port forwarding doesn’t persistVery good app. Been using it for a while and I totally recommend it. Port forwarding, though, doesn’t persist in the background; connection usually terminates after a minute or so. Other than that, the app is really handy!.Version: 3.5.2

Amazing appThis app hands down is one of the best quality apps that I've seen in a while. Also developers are amazing. I had a question and got a response quickly with clear instructions..Version: 4.14.1

FantasticLove the new redesign! They key groups under Customize Keyboard are impossible to view though..Version: 4.0.0

I cannot switch keyboard in my terminalDear developer: Your software has higher response speed between server and terminal. However, I cannot switch keyboard in my terminal. Because server will recognize “control + space” as what i input in command line like ”ctrl + c”, but actually it is the operation to switch language from english to greek keyboard for example. I sincerely hope you can develop some functions that i can switch my keyboard without exiting “terminus”. Thank you very much!.Version: 4.10.9

Best FREE terminal appFinding a free terminal client app with no ads that gives you the ability to save commands and unlimited hosts. They do well at telling you what they offer with their premium services, but do not push it or ad pop ups like others. Or watch this video every time you connect. Apps like these, that give you your ssh connection and if that’s all you want then have at it, but if you want more you can pay are few and far between. I suggest using the free version, and just on principle alone purchase some premium or the premium app. They are constantly updating and very active. I don’t leave many reviews for apps. And yes, us Linux, bash, terminal snobs are picky…but they do a very good job at having options for everyone. From advanced to noob..Version: 4.10.8

Replaced several other SSH/SFTP clients on PC/Mac/iOSI have been in IT for 15 years at this point and have used basically every major terminal emulator and SFTP client there is on every platform (PC/Mac/Android/iOS/Linux/Solaris/BSD/HP-unix/et al.) Paid, free, doesn't matter, I’ve shelled out the cash to buy serious SSH clients. But none have really cleaned up the whole experience as well as Termius here. I can shift between any of my systems, iPad, iPhone, Mac, PC and share the same set of devices, public key auth credentials, and scripts. Nobody does it like this, at this level of quality, in such a great looking cross-platform UI. Yes, it costs money for the subscription. SO WHAT! Do you want to have a cloud service that does all the above and gets better with time while responding to new tech? You gotta help pay the developers that make that work. Just give it a shot, the 14 day free trial thing will tell you all you need to know. For me, I have paid upwards of $700 for other systems that provide these features.... on PC/MAC... but not mobile as well. So is Termius worth a few bucks a month? Of course. Would highly recommend..Version: 4.3.10

Does what it saysI often need to connect to one of my servers to issue a command while on the road. This app does that job perfectly..Version: 4.9.8

Excellent app!Helps me update server changes via ssh in emergency situations. Very good app even when using the free version..Version: 4.12.0

Great appAlways my go-to for ssh-ing from the couch. Each new update just makes it better. Highly recommended..Version: 2.2.0

Great ssh terminalEasy to use, ctrl and arrow keys accessible, keyboard hides and restores. Like it a lot.Version: 2.2.4

Amazing clientThanks for sharing so many features for free and hope it doesnt change anytime soon :).Version: 4.9.10

AwesomeNice and easy to use.Version: 2.2.1

Utterly BrilliantIt just works, unimaginably well, especially from iPad with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. No issues with any of my Debian servers. I don't need the Pro features, and subscription would be too expensive, but I would have been happy to make a one-off payment (e.g. $20) or a donation to support the developers. I wish Apple wrote software this good, with the features I need, no bloat, and full compatibility with open standards and non-Apple platforms..Version: 5.0.0

UnbeatableUnbeatable ssh client - set it up properly and it will be good for life. I live on a terminal & ssh connectivity, I know. Thanks. Amazing work and it only gets better and better..Version: 4.3.1

Working even better than beforeI have been using this app for connecting to my external and remote servers for years now, and they have made many necessary improvements to the app over that time. It has gone from usable to useful. I use it enough, and have enough confidence in their maintenance of the app, that I am now putting in my own requests for improvements and features I'd like to see in future updates. I rarely write reviews for apps or anything else, but when they requested it this time, I am gladly giving them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. 😀 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍👍 😀 🖖 Live long and prosper.Version: 4.0.9

Everything you’d want from a terminal on iPhoneWith the sole exception of maintaining sessions, which is an iOS limitation anyway (I mean just install tmux on your target machine), it’s perfect..Version: 4.7.2

One of the better free terminalsDefinitely one of the better terminal apps and it's free. Seems to work well and the console adjusts it's size to fit the iPhone's screen (no scrolling horizontally since text is wrapped) - that feature alone has a edge on some of the other terminal apps on here. My only suggestion for this to be even greater is have the ability to be able save command macros or shortcuts. I'm usually typing the same stuff into my SSH so it would be cool if we could create present commands we could access via a right side slideout-like menu, but I'm sure that's something that could be offered in a paid version..Version: 2.2.1

What happened to the snippets button? This app was great but the recent update took the option away to use snippets inside an active terminal. The snippet button “{}”disappeared from the keyboard and there’s no option to add it back. I had a nifty maintenance snippet I’d run on my raspberry pi periodically. UPDATE: I figured out how to add the snippet button { } back. On the keyboard hit the 3 dots (top right) then the gear icon. From there press the “+ ADD KEY GROUP” text. Now just make a new group including the snippet button (located at the top of the button list). Boom..Version: 4.14.0

It works and it’s awesome. The app is pretty cool, no ads whatsoever and even though there’s a subscription option, it’s pretty much optional because you get almost you need without it and the subscription only gives you some nice to have conveniences. The app looks good and is easy to customise to look and feel as you’d like. Highly recommend..Version: 4.16.0

This is an amazing applicationI don’t usually write reviews, but wow. For a CS major, this turns an iPad into a serious production machine. I can connect to my Uni’s SSH and take advantage of the pico and VIM editors, as well as GCC for my school projects. I essentially have an entire development environment at my fingertips, weighing in at less than 2lbs, from anywhere; you don’t get much better than this after you take 10 hours of battery to back it up into account. Time to grab yourself a keyboard cover, or Smart Keyboard for a Pro user, and get to work. The paid features are great for professionals as well, just really not necessary for lightweight development. If you don’t have an SSH server to connect to with this, it makes it worth it to pay $5 a month for a droplet or similar cloud platform and load it up with tux, VIM, GCC, and all the goodies a developer could want to maximize workflow. The addition of MOSH support only makes this 100x more viable for this type of implementation as well. Keep up the amazing work!.Version: 4.0.4

Useful on-the-move app to check server statusWorks well on an iPhone and gives me terminal access to remote servers. Extended keyboard gives access to useful control characters and navigation arrows. Great for emergency use when desktop terminal not available..Version: 4.9.9

Great for remote console on iPad.I’m using Terminus for as remote controlled camera , it is simple to use and the connections are always robust responsive. I would recommend this app especially for anyone using raspberry pi systems via ssh. peter _ b..Version: 4.10.0

ExcellentExcellent SSH client. Usable on a phone even, very useful when you are out and about and something has crashed. Now supports Mosh! Thanks!.Version: 3.4.0

Thanks TermiusIt’s never been such a pleasure to program in pure Linux system on my iPhone and iPad , it literally changed my workflow. With a Bluetooth keyboard connected to iPad, the 3rd gen iPad immediately comes back alive with Termius, thanks guys you’re doing amazing works.Version: 4.0.2
