✓ Crash cityFor years I have been reading business insider for my daily news, and it is a fantastic news source. The website is great, however the app has consistently crashed for years and I just can’t imagine how it has not been fixed yet. I can usually get about halfway through an article and then it will crash and exit. If I try to reopen it and go to the same article, it will crash at the same spot. Does this on about 95% or articles I try reading through the app, quite ridiculousl considering it has gone unfixed for years....Version: 4.27

✓ Decent but BiasedContent it good for keeping up with current events and the personal finance articles can be interesting from time to time. Other than thats its just another biased news source. Most articles on politics and the economy lean Left, which is fine both sides are respectable, but it would be nice to either have equal amount of articles on both sides so we can see the whole picture or only have articles that list out all facts without opinions sprinkled in. ✓ Can’t read a single article.Used to be good but good ol’ greed always wins. Now you can’t click on a single article without a video ad popping up! I don’t mean an ad before a video, but a video just to click and read an article. What’s worse, if you’re listening to your own music, you have to close out the ad and then go back to your music app to start your music back and do this for every article you you read..Version: 4.26
✓ Going After Paying Subscribers, BI?Do NOT appreciate every time I bookmark an article being asked to login or create a profile. Also noticed that article updates don’t happen as quickly as used to. ✓ Please add support for Apple NewsI have subscriptions to WSJ and Business Insider (both purchased, separately, directly from the publishers - not through Apple). When I want to read WSJ content on Apple News I get the option to login to my WSJ account. This allows me to read WSJ without getting an Apple News+ subscription. However, there is no option to login to my Business Insider account on Apple News. So the only way to read Insider is through the app (which isn’t aesthetically appealing in the slightest). Please add support for using Insider subscription in Apple News like WSJ allows!!! I’m saving Insider money by purchasing directly from you instead of using Apple, why would you not allow me to use this subscription in Apple News??.Version: 13.1
✓ Pretty awful updateHadn’t used it for a while and went back to this app recently. Crickey, what an awful app it is now. The UI is terrible. It scrolls uncontrollably fast meaning it just scrolls quicker than you’d anticipate, jumping past lots of articles. It has double articles showing and lots of them just don’t load images (even with a fast internet connection...). Not even sure how this passed QA..Version: 7.0

✓ Auto-Play Audio is awfulBusiness Insider is my favorite place to go for quality content on what’s important to me. However, as of recently, they’ve implemented auto-play mid-roll content that goes around your phones settings and blares audio at top volume. To turn it off, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of your page and pause the content. I can’t have this when I take the train in the am and hope they can change this soon. Don’t sell out to marketers demand for higher engagement. The user experience is important!.Version: 4.25

The content has always been much stronger than the app and the new version is even less stable than previous version. It consistently crashes when viewing any of the scrolling lists. ✓ This Used To Be A Go To App - Update Needed To Fix Bugs!Business Insider has been one of my core longtime favorite sources for business news. And as of the last time the BI app opened, I can say the user interface is clean, simple, and easy to use. But the critical portion of that last sentence is "the last time the app opened" (or launched)! For the second time in the past three months, an overnight push update via the Apple App Store has killed the BI app! In both cases, the application will open to the green screen with the Business Insider logo that I always see for a moment while the app is launching. However, it is again stuck on that launch page. I have to force close the frozen app. So you have the information: I am using a new iPhone 7 (128GB), I am not experiencing issues with any other applications, nor any issues with iOS. If you click on the subscription options, you can choose Weekly, Monthly, Yearly; but you can’t Unsubscribe. ✓ Forcing subscription and clickbaity... its 2020!Really unfortunate decision by Business Insider to update the app forcing users to subscribe monthly in order to see their sub-par content; especially in the age of digital information. What’s worse, is that a solid portion of their articles are click-bait heavy. The rest, which are borderline “journalism” are hardly engaging to say the least. “I retired at 30. ✓ Expensive App for Little to No Good StoriesThe monthly to yearly rate is very expensive. I would suspect that Insider has invested a lot of money in their marketing department, but little in their journalist and reporters. All articles have headlines that make it appear that there will be some good advice or different ways of accomplishing something. ✓ Trial Subscription scamSigned up for what appeared to be a trial subscription, made multiple good faith attempts to cancel the subscription within 2 business days through Apple and through Business Insider. Unfortunately, after multiple email exchanges with Business Insider I'm stuck with an annual subscription for $49 that cannot be canceled. Very very misleading marketing - deceptive bait and switch business practice. ✓ Quality DecreasingThe quality of articles has decreased drastically. I use to love this app, as it wasn’t so biased. Nowadays it seems like there’s a bitter democrat running the page. Bloomberg has been my go to lately. If I’m gonna to pay for the articles, I want them as unbiased as possible. Bloomberg seem to post facts as BI seems to post feelings and emotion.
