✓ Irritating ad pop up to purchase PRO versionThis app isn't bad in terms of posting the weather in your current location. Except the highly irritating way it automatically adds about 4/5 hashtags to your post on Facebook alongside your weather posting. I hate that. And I keep getting pop up reminders for the weather, and to try and turn it off in the Settings doesn't quite work. In fact trying to in check anything in the settings is impossible because each time u try, u get a pop up box urging you to buy the PRO version. So essentially u can't alter the settings. The developer then launched an essentially identical WeatherShot app (this one) to force legacy users to subscribe to regain access to features we had already paid for. ✓ Can't use camera roll photoWe're supposed to be able to use camera roll photos, but every time I try to use one, the date, time, and temp defaults to where and when the photo was taken. So I'm trying to use a pic from a few months ago, and it says Wednesday 3pm 80F when it's Thursday 8am and 60F. I keep trying to change it but it won't change to the current time and date and temp. I like this app, but I can't go run outside and take pics just to get the most current and accurate info. I'm in FL. It doesn't matter if my palm tree pic is from today or last month. ✓ App forecast data does not update for most skinsThe forecast data does not update for most skins. Skins will show the current weather. And the weather for the forecast is stuck in the weather at the time of the conversion to WeatherShot from the previous app. This is very frustrating if the problem is not fixed soon I will not be renewing next year. ✓ Weathershot review.I had this app everlasting years ago when i thought it was less expensive🤔. I also thought I only signed up for one month but to my surprise there was a little over a $20 charge for an annual acct on my Apple acct. these are the only reasons for the three stars right now. I don’t travel much but I live on Nantucket and so do 3 of my four children so why would I leave? I’ll review again after looking under the hood and playing around a bit. With this new update and renaming my premium features are not carried along which means my images are watermarked again. My payment unlocked all of the overlays for all of the seasons and weather conditions. I installed it but as soon as I went to use it, there came the “pay for trial and then $$$ for each year after that”. So I skip that. Read two more intro slides and press “get started” and guess what - up comes the “pay for subscription”. I skip, press get started and it’s an infinite loop of pain. I would rather the old system where you can use it without the f▪️▪️▪️ing pestering for subscribers. Add to this, the price. Why so much to subscribe? Why no pay outright price? ✓ The Price Increase in too much!I have been using WeatherShot for a long time, beginning with the original versions that was released when you had a “Free” version, and a one-time paid “Pro” version that removed limitations of the free version. I paid for the Pro version, and loved it. Then, suddenly, a couple of years later, you did away with that and decided on a subscription based model. Most of us who purchased the Pro version felt ripped off then - we’ve already paid, yet you are asking us to pay again, on a recurring basis even! Still, I took the chance to tried the subscription model, and actually liked what was on offer, plus the subscription price was reasonable, so I’ve kept my subscription! Now, I have received another that you are not only increasing your price from 5th Jan 2022, but you are literally doubling it! I don’t think the features on offer justify the doubling of the price - a little increase maybe I could consider, but doubling it…? No, I won’t agree to the price increase and as such would be terminating my subscription. A shame really as it is quite a nice app, but not more more than NZD 60 per year!.Version: 5.3.31
