✓ Beautiful and easy to controlFirstly, the sound is easy to turn off if you know where to look. Once you open the app for the first time a little widget button will appear in the upper right corner of your Mac, it looks like a black donut. Click that, click preferences, uncheck the box beside sound. You can also adjust the volume there and change a bunch of other stuff. I don’t know how much Ram it’s using, my Mac has 16GB which is a lot more than the average computer would have (or need) so that might impact your experience. I love having the calendar on the desktop, it’s extremely convenient. For a $1.99 it’s a really cool app that adds sophistication and functionality to the desktop..SwagswagmoneybagsVersion: 1.0

✗ Speakers will not turn offI really like this app except for the fact that speakers make a loud shhh sound when when animated (not running off the battery). Settings within the app do not turn it off. Mute or volume on my Macbook Air do nothing. I may have to delete the app entirely. Isn't anyone else having this problem?.PrairieVolVersion: 1.0

✗ Nice app, but...I really like this application and wondered why such animated desktop backgrounds haven't been seen before. I was very impressed with the quality of the graphics and how the animation could be customised. The crystal clear on-screen clock and the display of upcoming events on iCal on my desktop are very useful features as I can see at a glance exactly what I need to achieve at the beginning of a day. However, there is one big problem for me - everything slowed down when I used it, and a quick look at Activity monitor showed that I was really burning out my memory. After a few minutes my machine started to get quite hot as well. I have a Mid-2010 Macbook Pro with 4GB of RAM, so not that new now but still at about the same level that the developers recommend. I run some quite memory-hungry applications as part of my daily work so unfortunately this app is out of the question for me to use on a regular basis, which is disappointing as I was otherwise very impressed. Maybe make it so that there is an option just to have a static image displayed, rather than a moving one? I imagine that a still image would use less memory than a moving graphic even when the rotation speed is set to zero..Rainbowcat203Version: 1.0
