✓ Great dictionary!It is just an amazing great dictionary and I was using the awesome LDOCE from long time ago. However, I found this app for iPhone as useful as the windows version, because you can have it in your pocket. Finally, I've expected more spoken sentences in the mobile app and to find the example bank from newspapers and magazines. I hope Pearson would add more examples in the upcoming updates. ✓ The best dictionaryI’m an English teacher and since I remember I was using Longman for my studying too. I think it’s the best dictionary worldwide because it has the simplest definitions possible and very practical examples as well as collocations, synonyms, etc. When I want to introduce a dictionary to my students, I always suggest Longman at any level. About this app I should say that everything is better than LDOCE5, but there’s a problem with it about searching a word or phrase. In LDOCE5 when you searched something, the dictionary would give you all possible words, but in this version you should search the exact word without spelling-error to find it. Another problem is about searching for idioms; in LDOCE5 when you searched a word, you could see all the phrases including that word, but in LDOCE6 it’s almost impossible to look for an idiom. Instead you should find the keyword in the idiom and look into that word definition to find it. I hope in next version, they keep everything and improve the search feature.
