Those information are so useful, and the design makes me feel inconvenient in comparison to the LDOCE5. I suggest to move those information to the very top of the interface. Suggestion 2. The status bar is all-black when using the app. At least shows the time and the battery. Other than these, I think this app is pretty robust. ✓ The worst dictionary app everI'm a dictionary lover and have bought variety of dictionary apps, including the previous version of Longman dictionary, so far. Trust me, this is the worst dictionary app ever. Looks like it's designed by someone who never uses dictionaries. Firstly, it doesn't show example sentences unless you tap a tiny button placed next to the definition. (The page of word “have” has as many as 70 of such buttons. Who wants to tap them 70 times? It’s a torture!) For language learners, it's critical to read words in sentences to understand how it’s used. But with this app, it’s just impossible. Secondly, it doesn’t allow you to move to the next item. In most dictionary apps, when you look at the meaning of a word, say “regret”, you can easily browse alphabetically-adjacent words, “regretful”, “regretfully”, “regrettable”, “regrettably”, etc. just by swiping the screen. It’s not the case with this app. Not only that swipe doesn’t work, it even resets the search field every time. As a consequence, you have to type “regret” in the search field five times to check the five words which belong to the same word family. Thirdly, the word list, The Longman Communication 9000, is broken. The list is divided into three parts; high, medium and lower frequency words. But when you check lower frequency words, high and medium frequency words are being mixed in the list as time passes. Fourthly, the user support is terrible and the development is not active. You cannot expect to receive sincere support. They just say “Oh, I understand your frustration. I’ve forwarded your request to developers.” And nothing has been improved for ages. Fifthly, THE WORD OF THE DAY suggests completely useless words. Here are some words I’ve been recommended. (Now, you get how less they care about English learners.): Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Jerusalem Bible, EMEA(European Medicines Agency), Brown, John (1800-59 a US ABOLITIONIST), the Poconos Overall, it’s laughably terrible experience to use it.
