✓ Over 1.5GB is ridiculous for a children's appThe developers need to find another method of getting content into the app without requiring users to download it all at once. Other than large games with high levels of graphic detail, there is almost no reason that any app should be 1.5GB in size. It just eats up people's space on their devices..Version: 1.9.2

✓ Sparse, repetitive and very AmericanI was disappointed with this game, the letter matching is repetitive as it only seems to have one example for each letter. Some of the words attributed to objects are very American, ie a plane in this game is 'a jet' which can be confusing. If your child manages to get more than 30 minutes of entertainment from this game I would be very surprised. So overall, good idea but poor execution. ✓ 1.59Gb's !!!!This app is 3 times bigger than any other app I have. Even MS Word is only 433Mb. Surely some of the audio & graphics could have been optimised. If you are like me with only a few hundred Mb's available at any time on a 32Gb iPad, you may need to think twice about the resource requirements before purchasing. ✓ DisappointedMy 4 year old was so excited for this game and even saved up her money to buy it. It was a complete dud. One portion of the game requires you to trace letters by connecting the dots of play doh. This thing was so finicky that it would never approve the trace - even after I did it. ✓ The letter tracing is terribleMy 3 year old likes to play with it, but he gets very frustrated with the letter tracing. The app forces you to make letters in a single stroke, like you would in cursive writing. A much better approach would be to split the strokes into multiple strokes, like a line and then a half circle for a D. The letter writing also forces you to draw the letter in the same direction as the example, but if you miss the opening animation that shows the path, you can't complete it. Some visual cues on the screen would be in order. As an adult I couldn't get it to recognize my letter p, and I know how to write, thank you. Refining the letter writing would definitely make me rate this higher, but it's a huge problem right now..Version: 1.2

✓ Good idea in theoryI think the idea of this app is a great one - it teaches children the fundamentals of writing, spelling and other productive things; However, the execution is poor. The portion that teaches kids to "write" with dotted letters is so sensitive that unless the child draws exactly as it suggests and follows the dots perfectly, it tells them they're doing it wrong (and in a very loud and negative way, which actually discourages my child: "NO! That's not where you're supposed to start!") Maybe for older children it's good, but not so much for preschoolers just learning to write and building confidence..Version: 1.8

✓ Fun in parts but...Nice idea to have a playdoh letters app. It is colourful and has fun parts like the squash the playdoh and make the characters. Areas for improvement include need for British accent version, need to make it easier for kids to trace letters and general upping the pace of the play so kids don't lose interest..Version: 1.2
