Innovative Language Learning for Positive User Reviews

BrilliantVery good resource. Could be a little more joined up when going between internet site and the app plus the upgrade costs could be a bit more transparent. Still think it’s worth 5* if you’re going to learn Thai.Version: 1.15.1

Content is great, app needs workThe program really helps you build an understanding of Italian vocabulary. The app is simply old and outdated.Version: 2.2.3

Great content. Horrible introductory music. The course content is fantastic. If you can stomach the irritating noise that introduces each excellent short lesson, you will find this app brilliant and well worth paying for. A bargain but the introductory music would benefit from a focus group..Version: 2.0.1

Good app, but one annoying glitchOverall a good app, but the audio tracks don’t often work for me..Version: 2.7.6

Korean lessonsNot really helpful as accepted.Version: 2.6.3

Great appGreat app ....Version: 2.0.8

So Helpful! When I first started learning Japanese it was so frustrating but after I got the app it felt much easier and enjoyable. The only bad thing is that you have only 7 day’s before you start paying..Version: 2.3.1

ExcellentThe way they explain is amazing and much better than any other Cantonese learning tools I have tried.Version: 2.1.6

Great resourcePretty cheap too. They are always giving coupons away. Got 2 years of basic for around $30. That's like less than $1.50 per month. Definitely worth it, considering you are able to download any lesson on the computer and play indefinitely. What is wrong with you people that want everything for free? Calling everything that it's not free “predatory”. It's called business. Entitled people that think every service should be available at no cost are the worst. Watch videos on youtube if you want free content, jfc..Version: 2.0.8

Always in my pocketI love that I have my Greek lessons with me wherever I go. I also think the way the lessons are structured is very good and builds nicely from absolute beginner onwards..Version: 2.0.8

There is no better way learn Japanese.I love Japanese pod 101. I have been listening to Japanese pod one oh one on and off for 15 years. I used it when I lived in Japan and it really helped me increase my fluency. The only time I stopped, was when I entered Cornell‘s falcon program. Japanese pod 101,In my opinion is the best program available to learn how to understand, speak and communicate in Japanese. Each lesson also has very good grammar points as well. I had to study with a live teacher this year..Version: 2.7.4

OutstandingLike attending a language class. Lots of resources, too..Version: 2.0.6

Excellent formatWhat a simple and easy way to follow the lesson with enough material to look back on. I’m having a blast learning my first second language.Version: 2.3

LanguageReally helpful really learning a lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Version: 2.1.1

Excellent!Very thorough, I'm learning a lot 😌.Version: 1.13

AmazingI am learning Greek and it has a whole different alphabet and using innovative language has helped me speak and write in this amazing language fluently honestly it’s amazing and you can do everything for free. You have the option to go premium but it doesn’t advertise it a lot which I think is good and the only thing I think that you can do on it is have a 1-1 lesson. Highly recommend it hope you consider learning too, Καλά να περνάς - have fun!.Version: 2.5

SuperbVery handy ,informative and easy to learn it !!! Love this app!.Version: 1.5.3

The. BugThis is a good application but at the video there is a bug and this is not cool.Version: 2.2.3

Innovative HungarianI am so very impressed with this fantastic app for learning language skills. For me as a Hungarian national born in Australia having to learn such a complicated language from scratch, it is indispensable having an app like this to learn this language. To the creators of this app and the people narrating this course thank you thank you thank you. Top..Version: 2.6.6

MrJust discovered this app and trying it out in the first week. I am very impressed with the detail and clarity of explanation not to mention the enthusiasm of the tutors which is infectious-(Harika!)This is making my attempt to learn some Turkish a lot of fun!.Version: 2.0.8

Audio stops when screen is off - editI really like this app but the recent update made it so that the audio stops playing if my iPhone screen turns off. This is big deal for me because I like to listen while walking or doing chores around the house, and it’s a hassle having to keep the screen on the whole time (not to mention the battery drain). * Edit: Somehow this problem went away by itself so I’m revising my rating up to 5 stars..Version: 2.0.2

Incredible content in an easy to use app, but...I tried out the app to see if JapanesePod101 was as good as I’d heard it was - and it really is incredible! You get videos, pdfs, audio clips, vocab etc all within the app. It’s really easy to use, too. The only problem for me is that it can’t do everything the website can do - no quizzes, no word of the day, no flashcards to aid memorisation etc. If the app could be filled out a bit more with that stuff, this would be the perfect “all-in-one” service. As it stands you need to combine it with other tools or access the website frequently. It just means that I tend only to listen/watch content once and then move on, with other apps filling out the experience. Still, the content is so good that it’s worth the subscription either way (especially if you find good discounts online!).Version: 2.1.1

Kinda hard to navigate if you don't know what your doing otherwise very usefulKinda hard to navigate if you don't know what your doing otherwise very useful.Version: 2.6.4

Really niceThe perfect app for language learning, it is easy to use and it covers all aspects of language learning (the selection of languages is great too!).Version: 1.15.1

Great, but priceyThis app is really great for learning just about any languages. I like the more “formal/professional” format that this app offers which differs from the other app I’ve used which are more based on mini games and such. Even though this app is more centered on serious lessons, it’s not boring and you don’t get sick of it because it’s not repetitive. You constantly learn new things and it’s not just for beginner as there are courses for advanced speakers too! Personally, I only use this app for more complex languages like Chinese and I don’t see the point of using this app for say, Spanish since to me it’s so easy. However, this app is quite expensive because you need to pay a membership to get full access to all courses. If you want to learn more than one language at a time, you’ll have to pay for ALL languages as there’s no way to get access to all languages with one membership… I really only recommend the basic subscription only when it’s on sale, I actually think the subscription is worth it for what you learn and that’s coming from someone who never pay for app’s memberships. Very reliable app in general. A must have for a polyglot and I’ll be using it in the future for Japanese, Korean, Thai and more too!.Version: 2.7.6

A slow processHere you will learn the words for underline and flotation device ,words that didnt seem to come up in 6 years of learning French and come to think of it not often in English . So I still cannot tell my polish grandchildren I love them ,order a coffee or find the toilet ...Version: 2.6.2

Great way to learn languagesHaving tried several paid subscription apps, I have settled on this one over the last couple of years as I find it is the one that is easiest to progress through and caters to numerous learning styles. I would love it if this app : 1. offered options to automatically delete listened to episodes and download the next one or two episodes for off-line listening. 2. Offered an easy way to switch between multiple languages for those that subscribe to more than one language. 3. Offered smart cards on the mobile app that repeated based on the lessons already completed, and also possibly on the previous correct / false answers (cf duolingo). 4. Some sort of long press / shortcut function - eg play next episode / library / word bank. 5. Maybe in app feed of the ‘daily dose’ app rather than having two apps for subscribers. Having subscribed to the premium plan, the app is holding back the feeling of value for money, not the content - which is first class..Version: 2.0.8

GreatAlthough a lot of the content costs money, the free content is still really helpful and is definitely worth using. Simple to navigate also..Version: 1.15.1

Wonderful Language Learning ProgramI have been an ESL instructor for many years. I have basic fluency in two other languages as well. I recommend this program to everyone I meet who is learning another language, as it's so well done. I have tried both the Prime subscription as well as the Basic subscription for Danish. Both are great depending on how much supplemental material you feel you need. The Prime subscription gives you the option of listening to the individual recorded segments found in both the audio lessons as well as their example material. It also gives you access to a nice flash card system, as well as mini quizzes, among other perks. The Basic subscription gives you access to the entire video and audio library as well, complete with the helpful notes that accompany each lesson. Whenever I exercise, I usually listen to a single audio lesson three times in a row, repeating out loud every Danish word and sentence I hear. I like it that each lesson ends with a little quiz, giving you time to come up with the translation before the answer is given. Then later I read the lesson material (which includes the transcript and notes for Basic membership) and listen again to the audio. The app is very easy to use and lets you download the lessons so you can listen even without an internet connection. Once again, I highly recommend this language learning system. It's simple, fun, as well as informative and thorough..Version: 1.15.1

Good contentI have been using Japanese pod101 for a while now. I usually listen while I work. Part Y because I’m eager to learn and partly becuse it’s interesting, I don’t get bored listening to the same lesson on repeat. Which incidentally is a very handy function. Majide sugoi..Version: 2.6.3

Great AppThank you for an excellent app. I am enjoying learning Hungarian.Version: 1.15.1

AmazingThis review is stating how this is AMAZING!! Honestly it describes and annotates everything, in one day I learned much more than I need to know, I can fully understand how to say greetings, what you like and dislike and, I totally recommend this to anyone is achieving that goal to learn hangeul and speak Korean..Version: 2.6.2

Really great way to learn another languageI have a decent basic command of Hebrew but wanted to improve. I am taking a conversational Hebrew class once a week and feel that my vocabulary and comprehension are not on par with my classmates. So I listen to my hebrew podcasts every chance I get. I’ve learned so much more vocab. I love how they break it down - speaking more slowly And then adding the translation. And I love the line by line expansion. I sometimes use that to test myself. Reading the English and seeing if I know how to say it in Hebrew. And I like that I can create a word list to improve my vocabulary. I also like the cultural lesson and the grammar offered in each lesson. Overall think this is a great app!.Version: 2.0

EasyCantonese easy as pie.Version: 2.0.1

A easy and steady way to learn another language!I have used this product for 6 months now and have over been very satisfied in my progress with learning Japanese. It does feel a bit slow at times but it is necessary to getting the language exposure that you will bring you to understanding even the most complex of languages. The only thing I wish is that they had flash cards on the mobile version and writing flash cards for languages with a completely different writing system from the Roman alphabet. Even without these features, I am still overall very satisfied with the final product and hope that these features will be implemented at a later time..Version: 1.15.1

Immersive learning is the most effective way!I believe immersive learning is the most effective way to learn any new language. The way this app has you listening to actual conversations right off the bat and builds upon previous learning with new is unmatched. When you’re in another country it’s difficult to keep up with the native speakers, but this app trains your ears to pick up the language as you learn. My kids and I use Duolingo as well because it keeps them engaged. However I prefer this method as an auditory learner. I have leaned more Italian in the past month than I ever have. Molto bene!.Version: 3.1.4

Thanks for text size! Thanks for the update to change text size! Such a big help...i hope you don’t mind me asking if you could allow it to be a little larger still. However I really appreciate what you’ve done:) I’m a premium user and enjoy the app a lot. I’ve progressed so much since I’ve started using it. What I really would love to have is the voice record feature from the desktop site next to the line by line audio. One last thing would be great to create my own playlist for lessons I struggle with. Again thanks for a great app..Version: 2.2.4

Amazing! The voice lessons really help, And its overall really helping me. This deserves more than 5 stars!.Version: 2.3

Very useful and goodLove it my French has been boosted after just 2 lessons.Version: 2.0.8

HelpfulThis app is so good. i love it..Version: 1.5.3

So useful the goThis app is So useful the go- forget the car CDs. Plus great format of teaching. Try it for sure!.Version: 2.3

Perfect in every wayThis is the best way to learn Hungarian and I can’t believe how cheap it is. There is so many resources to use it’s almost overwhelming. I can’t recommend it enough..Version: 2.5.4

Great app for language learningI love this app because they not only teach you vocab and phrases in the context of real life scenarios, they also explain the grammar and cultural context so you actually understand it. They break down the steps to be very simple, and the notes and resources for each lesson also help you dig into it more afterwards. For some people it might be enough to use apps like Duolingo, but if you aren't someone who can just "pick up" a new language through the magic of osmosis, Innovative is a much more comprehensive, and enjoyable, learning tool. I've used it for both Hungarian and Spanish..Version: 2.2.3

Too many mistakesI have taken introductory Greek in college and gained enough proficiency to see mistakes in their introductory level. The mistakes are mostly minor but they are many. This assistant lack of quality control gets annoying..Version: 2.1.6

GraciasThank you,I travel to Mexico 4x per year, and have started Spanish lessons.Version: 2.0.8

Excellent appExcellent app We do appreciate your effort and perfect job thank you for much.Version: 2.2.4

Love this app, in my fourth yearThis app isn't the only one I use by any means, but it has kept me on a path of steady progress. I subscribe to the premium version (which has a free month and a nice big sale every year in the beginning of December). I also use it on my desktop because there are even more opportunities for learning and last year I passed the JLPT 5 by preparing using the study guide. I have never had time or funds to take a formal class but I use this in the car, while doing mindless work and in dedicated study sessions. I love the narrators, they make learning fun and interesting and it's great to leave comments on the actual site and get feed back. They even gave me directions on how to add Japanese to my keyboard! Thanks Japanese Pod 101!.Version: 1.15.1

Quite useful and EnjoyableGot this app to learn Japanese. I think it's a great and fun tool, especially together with Rosetta Stone (that forces you to talk to "it"). RS to learn fundamentals and this one to get more native dialog. I'm glad they actually start with fast Japanese dialog first, and then slow it down, and only after that translate. Because it forces you to try and understand what they are talking about without knowing every word, which is what would realistically happen if you went to a foreign country while learning the language. You can always glance at the vocab list first to familiarize yourself and then jump to the lesson. My only wish grammar section was a bit more extensive, but I can't really complain because grammar practice is not really the point of this app..Version: 1.15.1

NateExcellent!! More than just learning a new language, this app includes social, etiquette, locality differences, and culture. Speakers are enthusiastic, passionate, and easy to follow. Thanks.Version: 1.8

Its's Alright in combination with.....I like the clarity of the words spoken. However, There is so much programming hard to know where to start. I am used to the Pimsleur method. I like that structure much better. I do like the fact that you can download the program notes and able to phrases to your word bank. I think this is great in combination with another app like Pimsleur. If you can pair your lessons with with this program that would be definitely worth it. The average person should be able to see results in his/her progress. In case you are wondering. I am studying German. I assume it is the same format as the other languages. As far is it worth the purchase?.....well I am still in the process of the free trial period. However, once I find a way to combine these lessons with the Pimsleur learning I have already been doing. I think it will be well worth the money. I am giving it 4 stars mainly for content. But again,...I think how the lessons are deployed should be tweaked. Hope this helps. Bis später!! Danke.Version: 1.15.1

I wish there was more people who didn’t hav ego payThere are only three lessons that people who didn’t pay can take for each section. That is it.Version: 2.1.6

Really GoodJust started to learn Spanish using this app and also online. This app, and the online learning is fantastic. Loads of tools to use, including flash cards and a word bank. The videos help you to learn Spanish more quickly. Lots of free stuff as well. I've paid for the Premium membership which seems to be great value for money. Easy to follow videos with PDF transcripts. An in depth package which is easy to follow. Overall very happy with the purchase..Version: 1.15.1

SubscriptionI've just tried the app for picking up French and Cantonese. It's very good actually as not just showing the words and phases but incorporating them into sentences and daily scenarios. The only thing that holds me back from subscribing is that I have to pay for the subscription for each of the language I want to learn. For example I want to learn French, Cantonese, German, Italian and Spanish than I will need to pay 5 times to subscribe. It doesn't work like other apps where the premium once is paid for goes for all languages in the apps..Version: 2.0.8

Excellent-very informativeThis app is excellent. It has audio of two people teaching you the language. Break downs of what they teach you. Vocabulary banks and mini tests after each section to test your knowledge. Everything is split into bite size mini lessons where you learn 3-4 new words, phrases or sentences. Making it easy to learn a new language and not feel too overwhelmed by it. You can learn at your own pace and recap whatever you want whenever you want. I recently purchased a subscription for 2 years under a offer which is decently priced for everything they offer you. I would definitely recommend it..Version: 2.6.6

Comprehensive and thoroughIf you're serious about learning Russian try the seven day free trial. Yes there is a subscription and it costs but it is worth it..Version: 1.14.1

Great way to learnI usually spend a lot of time in Spain but this year is a little different! Thanks 2020!! This app is great for learning and keeping what I know fresh in my mind. It’s Mexican Spanish but the majority applies in the same way that Spanish regions have they’re own dialogues..Version: 2.3.1

Awesome appLove this app its teaching me so much an so fast best one I've found.Version: 1.13

FantasticThe premium subscription provides excellent notes and all the features are carefully considered and helpful. Can't recommend this more highly..Version: 1.15.1

PortugueseI have not used the app extensively as I was busy however they keep asking for a review So far I am happy as they do have some grammar & hints on how to pronounce words which some other free sites do not mention I am keeping an open mind They had promised lifetime free lessons but I note they keep asking you to upgrade.Version: 1.15.1

Love the content! The actual prices and what you get with each is very confusing. It’s also on the expensive side. There needs to he more clarity on the price and content tiers. I have a premium plus righ now set to auto renew. (I’m not at all sure why I should upgrade)But it’s really quite wonderful for learning. It has everything that I love about the pimsleur audio, but with many types of lessons and grammar help. You can find the subject matter you want too..Version: 2.4

Trying to learn VietnameseTrying to learn Vietnamese.Version: 2.3

Excellent AppThis app is excellent and works perfectly with the website as well, keeping my place when I go back and forth from the phone to computer to iPad. I like the small “bite size” modules for learning so it keeps my attention, can be played on my ride to work or waiting around for a few minutes but also you can get the thorough breakdown to look at. The commentary is well done and sounds very natural. I have been using Duo for sometime now but Duo lacks the listening/voice functionality. Duo is more focused on grammar but with this you get the entire package. I need to communicate well in another language and this app is definitely a great way for me to learn and improve my listening & speaking comprehension. Thanks..Version: 3.1.3

Plan differencesWant to do the writing assignment but its not covered in basic plan🥲. And the premium plus is a lot expensive compare to basic. It could have been little cheaper.Version: 3.0.1

Great potential- less romanizationI think this is a great way to learn the Korean language. But before using this app i would recommend having knowledge of the alphabet and being familiar with the common/basic functions and sounds in the hangul alphabet. for developers : adding a section in beginners where you teach them the hangul alphabet and the commons sounds made would be extremely helpful. That way the romanization can be taken out as it does not help the learner get acquainted with the hangul spelling/writing that Koreans us..Version: 2.6.8

Greatest multifaceted language learning tool I’ve every usedI have used this Norwegian 101 for 2 Years now and have just signed up for another 2 years. I have been amazed about how varied the lesson formats are and it is very affordable This language program has got it all from various reading and speaking exercises to the real prize....native language speakers that help you master pronunciation. Learning tp properly pronounce words and phases is the most difficult task for me, and I have found this program to be a real help. Overall it is really affordable too..Version: 2.5.2

Positive early experience!Learning Japanese through the app, proving to be a very positive experience. Flow of the story to understand context is good due to the repetition, explanation, the ability to practice pronunciation for specific words… I could go on. I have gone for the premium model at introductory offer, but am feeling I will extend as this is so good a fit for me..Version: 2.7.7

Love thisI’m having a great time continuing with my learning progress with this App. As I used to go to a Greek School, before the pandemic, I am a beginner and I am able to pick up where I left off. I would recommend this to anyone..Version: 2.6.2

The audio files are enjoyable to follow. The audio files are enjoyable to follow..Version: 1.15.1

Love it!!I am a premium member learning Korean. It has been a little over a month using this and I think the audio and video lessons are very well made and easy to understand. I love my instructor Claire! She responds quickly and is pleasant. The only suggestion I would like to make would be more lessons with speech. I feel like I understand more than I am able to speak. Typing out responses in a conversation is great but actually speaking fluently is harder in my opinion. Especially since there are different levels of speech. 감사합니다 선현우씨 for KC101 and TTMIK!.Version: 1.15.1

Japanese BeginnersI am an older person and was starting to think learning a second language was beyond my abilities. The tools provided here to support me have been extremely helpful and my confidence is growing daily. Thank you! You have my eternal gratitude..Version: 1.15.1

Very thorough and well orderedI’ve just been using this program, studying Greek for only a week, but I’m already extremely impressed with how comprehensive the lessons have been. The audio lessons progress thoughtfully, building on earlier learning, and the transcripts and lesson notes are an excellent companion for helping to solidify what I’ve learned. Very grateful to have real dialogues and conversations to listen and learn from. Also appreciate that cultural learning is integrated as well. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.6.2

Fantastic appI love that it has many different types of learning for each lesson (video, text, audio, etc.) to make sure you fully understand, and you can download them all for later so you don't have to be online to learn or practice. Also, the layout and design are really nice. The only downfall is that if you want more than the basics, it's really expensive. From the looks of things, though, the quality should be worth the price..Version: 1.4

Urdupod101The Urdu classes available through urdupod101 are the best materials I have found online for learning to read and listen to Urdu. I’ve found the depth of information and the way it is presented on the site to be both engaging and progressive, perfect for a learner trying to pick this difficult language up during lockdown. The app itself seems to have less functionality than the website version though, so I tend to use the browser rather than the app. And both unfortunately have several bugs with the way the Urdu script is presented, and have lots of typos and errors throughout the lessons. I guess this is still better than the alternatives, but it would be even better if the bugs could be addressed and the lessons had a good editor look through to pick out the (every other sentence or so) typos that can be a bit distracting..Version: 2.5.3

Has a lot to offer, among the top, but...You must have the minimum iOS required. If you had an earlier iOS when you bought this app, you'll need to update your device, or save for a new one that can accommodate the required iOS. I'm in the latter category, but this app is very much worth its price, so I guess I'm heading to the nearest Apple Store..Version: 2.1.1

This appSo far I am learning but I don’t like the idea that I have to pay so much because I’m 14 and I don’t have a bank account and mom doesn’t approve of me using hers.. But this app is really helpful otherwise..Version: 2.0.6

Overall best resource ive used for learning a new languageThe app is well made, and if is better than the other apps and websites that ive tried, but there are somd annoying issues. The 35 second music track at the beginning of every lesson is so unbearably unnecessary, especially since i listen to them while driving. Also, the english portions of the russian lessons are so slow, robotic, and scripted; a quick introduction spoken by a human who speaks normally would go by 3x faster. There is about 1:30 of wasted time at the start of each lesson, which equates to about 10% of the lesson. Im sure i will have wasted dozens of hours on musical intros by the time i have become fluent (if i dont lose my sanity from listening to circus music many times every day). There are also some pretty serious consistent bugs, like how the screen freezes when playing audio in the “line by line” feature, which almost totally breaks one of the most valuable features on the app. I need to be able to switch between the 3 versions of the text (russian, pronunciation, and English translation), while listening to the audio, but the screen always freezes when playing the audio. These are just the 2 glaring flaws that ive seen in mg short tine on the app, but i am sure there are many more. I rate 4 stars because the app has so many features, and bugs naturally come with more features, and the app is constantly improving with more content being added and bugs being fixed..Version: 3.1.2

AmazingI love this language app! Very helpful, easy to use and useful. Better than duolingo 😂im happy i found this app.Version: 3.0.1

Great!Love this app, great for home study and also on the go.Version: 2.7.6

Amazing!!I have tried many language apps but this is by far the best one ever! Most apps/programs make you memorize words. They don’t teach you the cultural background or even the grammar! Which is very important when needing to know how to form sentences and have a conversation. Personally that’s what makes this app/website outstanding. There’s so many tools to help you fast track your progress for an affordable price, especially with the unlimited amount of tools available. I’m just starting out as an absolute beginner filipino but I see a promising future for my growth..Version: 2.6.6

Auto play glitchAuto play is great when I’m driving or exercising but the vocals or other tabs don’t work when it is playing the next chapters or sometimes it skips chunk of section.Version: 2.3

Easy way to learn a new languageI love these lessons. They are short so you don’t get bored. I also like all the notes that come with it..Version: 3.0.1

Koreanclass101This app has helped my journey a lot and a few native Korean speakers have been pleasantly surprised by some of the cultural tips I have learned. And there are some funny moments in some of the lessons (Jaewhi’s video lessons in particular!) Enjoy! G 😃.Version: 2.0.8

Awesome AppThis is the simplest most convenient and yet the most effective way of learning Russian in the least amount of time at an unbelievable price, it’s literally a real steal and is one of the best investments I have ever made in my life!.Version: 2.1.2

Awesome lessonsMe and my wife have a very busy schedule and the lessons on here are just the right length. We are able to do a lesson every night and we are progressing nicely. Thanks team keep up the good work..Version: 2.0.4

This app is actually helpfulI only had this app for a couple of days and I already learned so much about Japanese! I’m extremely happy that I’m able to get on this app listen to lessons whenever I feel like it. I don’t feel pressured I don’t get stressed when I got something wrong. This app is amazing, if anyone is reading this and wants to know if this app is actually helpful, yes it is! I highly recommend it!.Version: 2.3.1

Best app ever!!!!Taking Italian for my second year and cannot imagine what I would do without this app. After class it’s so helpful to brush up in terms and pronunciation and before a big test to study. I really enjoy the audio feature hearing fluent speakers or teacher helps me to better understand the language and speak better with my peers in the outside world and class room environment. I also like how easy it is to use on the go which is super important today! Super easy to use an every informative. I would definitely recommend this for language learners!!!!!.Version: 1.15.1

MrsLoving the free version, plenty to be getting on with. Especially good for those wishing to learn without the frustration of being bogged down with gramma..Version: 1.15.1

Better then any other online course.I’ve been learning Japanese for 1 year and I’ve improved. I renewed for 2 extra years and love the diversity and abundance of options. 5 levels are fine and enough for 2-3 years of study..Version: 2.6.5

Please add support CarPlay and Siri Shortcuts! Please add Apple CarPlay Support! This app is a PERFECT candidate for a safe-yet-productive CarPlay experience! Having the 10/15-second jump buttons on my car display while being able to navigate lesson tracks from my steering wheel would be terrific. Also, I’d love to see you integrate Siri Shortcuts! It’d be awesome to tell Siri “Let’s study Japanese” and have it kick the group of lessons that I set for the shortcut. Please make it happen! Thanks for considering! Previous review: Awesome! Improved Audio Playback Controls! - I’m so happy to have audiobook and podcast-like audio controls on the iOS Lock Screen and Notification Center now! This is a big deal! Definitely worthy of a bullet point in your release notes! I’m excited about the new Apple TV app, too. Can you please make it so that it shows green checkmarks or something next to your already-completed lessons? It’d be awesome to see our word bank and have flash cards on the TV, too! It’s a good start! Keep the updates coming!.Version: 2.1.2

The best I’ve found!Over the past few years I’ve tried and tested every language app I could find, yet my progress has sky rocketed in a few short weeks of this app. Whereas before I was desperately trying to spot links to help me learn things, this explains each rule easily and carefully, keeping it short and relevant. While the app is new and can feel clunky in comparison to some of the older kids on the block, the content is better than any of them. 📚.Version: 2.0.8

Amazing! This has to be my favourite language learning app ever! Way better than all the other confusing ones I’ve tried. I’d rate this more stars if I could, but I am in love! Thank you so much 😊.Version: 2.6.2

Fast and EfficientThis app has really helped me learn Korean I am still working on it but there are many reviews and even in paper form if I want to practice writing instead of audios, Soooo organized I definitely recommend this to anyone trying to learn a language fast 😊 Awesome.Version: 2.3

Voice-over and InnovativeVery good with VO screen reader, most buttons are labelled correctly, few appear simply as text and require some exploratory tapping Very impressed 😎.Version: 2.2.3

I’m very happy with this app so far!I’ve been trying to learn Romanian for as long as I can remember. It’s hard to find apps and other things to learn this language. Most are the most popular languages. So the fact that this app has it gets a star. I also love how it explains when you use certain words and phrases. When trying to learn on my own I would often find many examples of the same meaning. And not know why there was so many options for the one word. Here they explain when you would use the right words. Ives learned Romanian there are three different types of “excuse me”. Having it this set up makes me feel a lot more confident and trying to Communicate with natives..Version: 2.0.8

Doesn’t work on iPhone 11Was working but now doesn’t do anything at all. Audio won’t load - app hangs and then restarts itself. Have tried uninstalling reinstalling and updating iOS to 17.3.1!.Version: 3.1.4

AmazingAmazing.2.Version: 1.15.1

Love it but…I honestly so love this app and the ability to use everything in sync with the computer and the phone:3 But was wondering if there is a flash card version of your “word bank” or something…:( As I think that option would be so useful to test you vocabulary and to learn in faster !.Version: 2.6.8

Highly recommendedI would definitely recommend this App for starting and improving your Japanese language learning journey. I have the Premium subscription for two years and I’m finding it extremely useful..Version: 3.0.1

Very good for learning ThaiThe app with a 1 year Premium Plus subscription is very good. My only current issues are visual portions of videos sometimes not loading if the app have been open for a while. I have to restart the app. My other issue is with the My teacher portion of the app and audio/photo files not loading. It seems to be an authentication issue as the same thing happens if I am not logged into the web browser..Version: 2.7.6

Enjoying the RideYour app is quite phenomenal. I just went through ‘my’ first lesson with you and I find your method and way of structuring the ‘didactic’ material efficient and kind of ‘airy’, so to say, I mean well organized...in other words, I think you did a great job, this learning tool can be really useful. Thank you. Congratulations and keep up the good work;) Bogdan.Version: 2.0.6

OutstandingSimple to use best alternative to a class room.Version: 1.14.1

GreatGreat way to study a language off line. Everything you need from ILL in one place. No matter what language you are studying..Version: 1.8

Lots of potential, serious issuesI liked the pronunciation videos enough to immediately sign up for Premium, they were that good Then I tried their flashcards- very disappointing. Enough issues that I emailed support. Ten hours later not even a ‘Hey we got the email’ auto response that everyone seems to have nowadays. Word bank is glitchy- I only have 4 words in it so far, but only two have Pinyin, the other two don’t? This app was set up by third party guys that never need to use it. Those in the company also seem to not be users, based on their design layout ! An example is: In Mandarin there are 4 separate tone marks. In the App’s version of flashcards the Pinyin is small , and the tone marks are tiny! If you can imagine a flash card on a phone where 90% of the screen is ‘white space’ while the useful info takes up less than 5% of the screen?!? Who in their right mind would think this is even ok let alone ‘good’ ?? so, tldr. Great vids but poor design which.Version: 2.1.1

Super ConvenientI use the Innovative Language app with my premium subscription to ThaiPod101. The app has the main features of the study lessons that are on the website. You can listen to the podcast styled lesson audio and the shorter review and dialog audio tracks. It has a download button so you can download lessons to take with you to listen in the car or you can just stream the audio without downloading. The audio continues to play when the iPhone goes to sleep and you can start and stop audio from the lock screen and it remembers where you were last time you used it. As well as this the lesson pdf with useful cultural information and detail from the lesson is available from within the App. I have paid for a subscription, however making time to sit at my computer to do study hasn't really worked and I haven't got through as many lessons as I wanted. This allows me to download the lessons, listen to the lessons while I'm getting ready for work each day or when ever I have a spare moment. If I need access to the lessons notes, I don't have to go to my computer. The App is nicely laid out, and easy to understand. The lesson format is not boring. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have the flashcard feature that is on the website. The website has a feature where you can add words from a lesson as a deck of flashcards, which really helps with memory retention of the new words. I feel I would be a language learning machine with the flashcard feature added. However even without that feature still deserves 5 stars..Version: 1.4

Best way to refreshI did live in Czechoslovakia, but that was some time ago. I do remember some Czech, but what I do remember is varied or I just struggle with certain words and pronunciations. This app is great because you get simple lessons that have text along with pronunciation and great dialogue. The kind of real dialogue you will hear in county. Moreover the lessons have pronunciation at normal speed, then follows with a slower speed. In Prague they speak quickly, so you better get use to it, but sometimes Czechs will be more accommodating and speak slowly. I love how you can printout and download lessons so you can practice on stuff later. The lessons are not wasted on useless or obscure vocabulary and phrases..Version: 3.0.1

Best language learning App!!By far the most easiest to use and extremely helpful language learning app. Covers everything..Version: 1.15.1

Handy apps on bedIt is handy, sleek . Most importantly, learning a new language on bed while u can't sleep is awesome.Version: 1.4

It’s quite goodYou can use physical lessons or listening ones so if your on a walk or jog then you can just listen to people explaining it to you.Version: 2.7.6

Let me just speak facts.I am currently learning Japanese and I was just downloading many language speaking apps and so far, this app is on my top 2! This app I feel is so underrated and I love this app because it gives you LEGIT STEP BY STEP examples of things! I love this app soooo much and I just started on it! I am really glad I have witnessed and to whoever made this app- DESERVES A RAISE PERIODT. I love this app thank you very much and I’m sure I speak for a lot of people here! Keep doing what you’re doing!!❤️❤️.Version: 2.5

THE BEST!! Amazing app and desktop learning for SpanishAmazing for serious learners, I’ve tried a few other courses and Spanishpod101 blows the socks off them. The lessons are easy to follow and the additional learning material that you get really helps all the lessons sink in… you have mini quizzes, actual tests to track progress and wordbanks, flash cards and more to enhance your learning experience. Cannot fault them, I am 13 weeks in and am confident I will have conversational fluency in another 6 months 😁.Version: 3.0.1

Afrikaans is a SHORT ANo one says Afrikaans with a long A. I bought a subscription to brush up after being gone for 25 years. As a program I think it’s structure is very good. It’s difficult to find any help with Afrikaans. I give it 4 stars for annoying lesson music, lack of proper pronunciation of the language, and the audio reminders that I can upgrade my basic subscription ($6) a month to more in depth lessons. Other than that it’s great. So developers PLEASE fix that. It’s seriously like fingernails on a chalkboard!.Version: 2.5.4

SpanishEasy to understand with excellent videos.Version: 2.3.1

You’ll never learn from anywhere better than hereI was very skeptical of this app and site. I’ve been trying to learn russian and every source I went to just seemed to not be able to do the job and I thought it would be the same here. I was proven wrong quick, I have learned to quickly and understand so much more than anywhere I’ve been. I paid for the bigger package too which comes with a teacher and she has been a wonderful teacher and has taught me a lot and is even helping me go to school in russia. Never had a bad experience and it was worth every penny to use the site..Version: 2.0.8

Could be betterThe lesson list on the app is not set up the same way as on the website (japanesepod101). Better integration with the website and app would be better so I could see my dashboard in the app and see the same lesson navigation on both app and website. Another option would be for me to have a continue on [other device] function so if I want to switch between phone and computer the app/webpage would be initialised to my last lesson for me..Version: 2.0.4

Russian helpClear discussion on how to use important words in context. Easy to listen too and a good introduction..Version: 1.15.1

AdoreiEsse programa ajuda as crianças aprenderem a falar Hebraico bem!Isso me ajuda muito no dia a dia na escola.Version: 2.0.8

Motivating and comprehensiveIt’s highly addictive and fun to learn with. The best things in the app are the word bank and flash card which you get only with the premium and premium plus subscriptions though..Version: 2.0.8

Innovative Language Solutions is the best,I love using Innovative Language Solutions! I am using it to learn Chinese now, and used it for Indonesian a couple of years ago. The lessons are engaging and provide great context for all the relevant vocabulary. I play the lessons while driving or doing housework and use the line-by-line audio, lesson transcripts and flashcards when I have time to study. I wish I had found this years ago! A paid subscription is definitely worth it so you can learn faster..Version: 2.6.3

French IntermediateI was looking for something that took more directly to comprehending and speaking French as it is spoken by native speakers. So far. Looks great in that respect. Short conversation deconstructed, enjoyable and fast moving format - Steve.Version: 1.15.1

Can’t cancel subscription. This is crazy it’s charging me over 30 dollars a month the app doesn’t even appear on my phone I would love to get this sorted out ASAP..Version: 2.0.8

AmazingI never write reviews here but this app deserves all the stars in the world. This app is life changing because day by day it is allowing me to learn Spanish in a very simple, fun and rewarding way. What started off as a whim has now transformed into a hobby and I have fun every day working on my Spanish for an hour through this app. Already, in a week, I feel confident to speak Spanish at a beginners level. Qué bueno!.Version: 3.0.1

It what they say they are:)I’m not even through the first lesson yet, and I’m loving it :). It is actually funny hahahaha ! I would 100% recommend to others. P.s I would have used some of the French I’ve learned but I’m not good at the spelling yet..Version: 2.5.3

KeenanFantastic App. Really helping me learn fast! Grazie Mille!.Version: 1.8

Really great!Love this App!.Version: 1.15.1

It is helpful. It is not so easy to self-study a language without speak with a native speaker. But this app is useful for me to track my progress for review and then help me reach my study goal in time. I think I will try to subscribe it again after I memorised about 1500 vocabulary (so I can review all the old and new vocabulary time by time). Not sure if this company have special price(S) for people who wanna try to subscribe two or more languages together..Version: 2.5.4

Learning by repetitionIt’s very helpful to repeat lessons and take tests. I would like an app which checks my pronunciation.Version: 2.7.4

This app is all you need!I’ve only had this app for about 2 hours and after trying almost every other language learning app out there, this one really hits the mark. I used other apps in the past to learn Japanese and now I’m learning Urdu (which is not featured in almost all other mainstream language apps). If you actually want to learn a language and not just a couple travel phrases this app is the real deal..Version: 2.1.6

Excellent for studying JapaneseEngaging, interesting and effective. Great for studying while out walking or hiking then reviewing later while looking at the app. I like the ability to change the font size now. I'm glad for the auto play audio function but wish it would give you the option to continue to the next lesson as well. Apple Watch support would be nice too. Overall great job! Great teachers. Excellent lessons with many levels..Version: 2.7.1

Great, but important improvements needed. This app taught me a lot, despite its own format, sort of. I totally agree with other feedback I’ve seen saying we shouldn’t hear the translation second. We should hear primary language first and then the new language. If I hear a bunch of unknown words and then my language, I can’t remember what it’s translating. If I hear my language first, I know what meaning to look for in the phrase. Also, the subscriptions are so expensive. The 7.99 subscription doesn’t even let you listen to the vocab words separately, which doesn’t make sense, since you could just scrub to that part of the lesson anyway, so it’s just an added inconvenience unless you pay..Version: 2.0.8

Japanese languageReally easy to learn.Version: 2.0.6

Great lessons but too expensive every monthAlso, after my trial expired I cannot go back to lesson one to remind myself of this app. I registered a long time ago and wanted to see get through lesson one again to see how good it was presented. The fact you don’t give out even one lessons for free is a mistake in my opinion. Common now, you have hundreds of hours of material and you are greedy for 1 lesson that came free on trial? Cannot rate 5 because of those 2 reasons. But from what I remember the content was very good..Version: 2.1.4

Almost greatI love the Japanese content, which has really helped me increase my fluency after years away from the language. The only reason for the four stars are several shortcomings in the functionality of the app. It does not remember the location in a dialogue when the app is in the background or the phone is asleep, and it constantly logs out of the app. A better means to continue on to the next dialogue would also be useful, as the current auto play has issues..Version: 2.0.6

Best Online Hindi Program.Best Program to learn Hindi Online ever. I tried so many different paid and free versions, but Nothing comes close to this program. Best wishes all. Made a big difference to me. For those whose First Language is NOT Hindi, this is the program for you. If you can’t learnt Hindi through this program, your desire will be difficult otherwise. Thank you Mahantji Dr. Balliram Chadee.Version: 2.6.3

Great podcastsHHave used these for other languages too and find them useful and engaging and good value for money.Version: 2.1.3

Ross BroomhallExcellent App - Though a little confusing to navigate through the menu at first. Once you are used to it it’s brilliant..Version: 2.0.6

Such a great app 👍👍I only Started yesterday and it’s helped me learn sooo much it’s such an amazing app it’s interactive and lets your hear the sound in a different manner u can listen to it on the go or anywhere and if u miss any words u can replay the audio it’s so helpful 👍👍👍 but it dose have some in app purchases which u don’t have to buy but I would recommend because it gives you more space to think and learn about the language..Version: 2.0.8

Great app, very useful and handy!I recommend this it is awesome.Version: 2.0.8

Spectacular!Really enjoying the app. Highly recommend! :).Version: 2.5.3

Learning JapaneseThis is a fantastic app.Version: 1.15.1

Dar ArdalBest Italian app on the market. All lessons in bite size chunks making it easier to manage memorising volcabulary. I do find some of the lessons very heavy on grammar which is sometimes difficult to remember. But after trying many different apps this one I feel is the one where I am making good progress learning alongside using MosaLingua too..Version: 2.0.8

PLEASE ADD SERBIAN LANGUAGE!!!This app is amazing I have looked at a few languages on here, this looks to be the absolute BEST Language app there is to exist. However, I am super sad because I am learning Serbian and there is no Serbian on here. PLEASE add Serbian !! Thank you :).Version: 2.1.1

Finally found the right oneI’ve downloaded so many apps, paid for so many apps, bought a lifetime subscription to Rosetta Stone, and purchased a year’s subscription of Pimsleur before I came across this. This is the first thing that actually has me learning to speak Korean. I ended up getting a Premium + membership after trying out the Premium for $1. I was speaking and understanding from the first lesson - is learning a new language still work? Of course. But this has been the most effective thing I have tried. A caveat - during my struggle to find the right tools to help me learn Korean, I did come across a couple good apps that taught me how to write and read the korean consonants, vowels, and several syllable blocks. That has been a really good foundation now that I found this. If you are learning Korean, I would 100% recommend skipping Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur and choosing this app instead. I would, though, recommend getting an app or two that teaches you to read/pronounce and write the alphabet to lay a foundation for using this app. You can find good ones that are either free with ads or pretty cheap if you want the ad-free experience. I have a long ways to go, but I am finally on my way there. The lesson pathways that are provided take away the time and effort needed to figure out what you should learn - you can just focus on actually learning to speak your new language!.Version: 3.1.4

Easy & logicalEasy & logical app with a mix of fun and technical.Version: 3.1.3

Learn at your own pace…Great app, very intuitive. Builds bridges to help you move forward, rather than walls that make you want to give up… I would definitely recommend this app..Version: 3.1.4

BEST WAY TO LEARN A LANGUAGE DON’T USE DUOLINGO!!!Use this app it’s amazing! I was learning Japanese on Duolingo for two months and learnt next to nothing. Two weeks of this and I can already use simple sentences, ask questions, give information about myself, plus so much more. USE THIS APP IST SO GOOD!!! You do have to pay quite a bit especially for premium plus, but in telling you it is so worth it!!!!!!! You get a personal tutor to help you as you learn, give feedback and set assignments for you to do! So helpful! So if you’re using any other app, (especially duolingo) put it down right now and download this!!!! Would rate 100 out of five!!!!!!!.Version: 3.0.1

Excellent Learning AppMade Japanese so much easier to learn and so enjoyable!!!! Listening to a native Japanese person and breaking the language down, slowing the speed of the speech is brilliant. Absolutely love it!!! PH..Version: 1.15.1

Easy to use more options to learnI love it it’s been 6 days since I downloaded the app and it’s great. The only problem is the monthly price is expensive.Version: 2.0.8

Best language learning system everClear, fun, step by step. Best app ever.Version: 1.14.1

A big improvementThis app has really improved. Now I can view my dashboard, autoplay etc! I have been a Premium Plus member since December and it is definitely worth the extra dollars. I personally would like a little less romanji and English dialogue but I know you need to cater to all abilities. My wishlist for this app would include the ability to just autoplay all the dialogues or create a playlist of just dialogues..Version: 2.2.3

Best game I ever downloadedEvery single thing is outstanding this app will help me out when doing Spanish lessons at school x.Version: 2.2.4

WowAmazing! You get the first 7 days free like absolutely no strings no bank details just 7 days free with your account. I’m gonna buy now as I’ve been able to get started and love it!.Version: 2.6.8

加油The format and the timely repetition of key points during the lesson, are the key to learning this difficult language well!.Version: 2.1.6

Fabulous Language Learning SystemMy family is using Innovative to learn Thai. We are native speakers of English, and also know French, so Thai is very different from everything we know. Innovative makes learning this new language really fun. Every day as we eat dessert after dinner, we listen to about 7 minutes of Thai classes. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but over time, and with consistency, it really adds up. We also practice our Thai alphabet (using the video lessons Innovative provides) so that one day we will be able to read and write Thai in addition to speaking it. It is a fun and educational way to spend time together, where we can all learn, and no one has to be an expert. We get closer as a family. I highly recommend it..Version: 2.6.3

Great additionsI am already a premium user of Cantoneseclass101, so having all the features available on the app is a great convenience..Version: 1.15.1

Very good learning system!I purchased the Premium package, a very good investment! The online as well as app have lots of resources with a well structured learning system. I highly recommend this app as well as their online learning (you have access to both when you purchase the package..Version: 2.3

I paid twice whyI will check this time if you take another money you will be in problem because I paid for one year.Version: 2.1.6
