Very DisappointedThis app had a lot of promise but is badly let down due to it not being intuitive and crashes regularly. Don’t waste your money until it’s sorted!.Version: 9.0

Auto non recognitionLike many fellow victims I bought this program to identify wild flowers from phone images. Like so many others I was conned by the auto recognition feature. I photographed a pink flower - a 5 petals member of the family Portulaceae, the auto recognition came up with 91% probability of a YELLOW 6 petal Celandine- a completely different family AND the developers say they are professional botanists! They should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for marketing such a rubbish piece of software..Version: 9.0

Rubbish! This is a completely useless app. Fails to recognise even the most basic types and makes the most ridiculous suggestions. Total waste of £3.99 which I’ll have to put down as a bad life experience as I have little hope of a refund! I would have liked to have given it negative stars!!.Version: 8.9

GlitchyThis app glitches frequently. The majority of times that I have used it, it has shut down before being able to ID a plant. I can’t believe I wasted money buying it.Version: 9.0

DisappointedFrom first download I had problems getting the app to work. Contacted developers and they told me the standard stuff, reboot, reload, update iOS etc. Every time I tried to use it it froze my iPhone6 Plus; and I am running the latest OS. Shant bother trying to use it any more. Very disappointed..Version: 8.9

Very disappointingI have tried to use this app to identify wild flowers on walks this spring and find it almost useless. Virtually all attempts to identify, by photographing and auto recognition or by manual recognition or going through the entire index have met with utter failure. Why aren’t the flowers I’m seeing featured in the app? Complete waste of money in my opinion.Version: 8.9

Very poor recognition accuracyI have never reviewed an app before but feel compelled to report how astoundingly poor this one is. So far, not a single correct recognition of some pretty common UK wildflowers, plus the app closes unexpectedly and often loses the image just taken. Don’t buy, is my advice..Version: 9.0

Just been for a walk....I've just been for a walk, excitedly taking my app with me, to see what it would add to my knowledge. The answer was, I'm afraid, nothing. On this walk I saw fragrant orchids, lesser butterfly, and pyramidal. We often see burnt, common spotted, early purple, readymade and bee orchids. So it misses out fragrant, lesser butterfly and burnt. I'll continue to see what we have on walks around us, and will report back. If there is a way of reporting back to the designers, it should be made more prominent. And since some of the photos are better than others, it would be good to be able to send in photos..Version: 8.9

Total rubbishCrashes constantly It is sold to identify British wild flowers It can’t tell the difference between a dandelion and a buttercup It does not give you definite identification only a % probability, with second or third choices completely different colour and specie plants I’m not a botanist but this is crap.Version: 9.0

Don’t believe the reviews!!This is literally the worst ID guide ever. I was excited by the photo ID feature. So I experimented with some well known favourites. Not only did it fail to identify them but the suggestions were way way off. So a lovely clear pic of borage in flower suggested wild pansy.. no borage no matter how far I looked with increasingly ridiculous suggestions. Similarly no idea with Sorrel, sweet woodruff, honeysuckle or... wait for it... actual wild pansy. I can’t believe I spent money on it. Very very disappointed..Version: 8.9

Huge disappointmentFailed on first attempt to offer any useful guidance. Not all sure how the ‘automatic’ bit works. Took a photo and got nothing back from the app. Using manual gave me a load of nonsense suggestions. If I had bought this in a shop, I would be back there right now demanding my money back. Patently does not do what it claims it can. Don’t waste your money..Version: 9.0

IncompleteThis could be a useful app if it actually contained anything more than just the common flowers. Just way too incomplete to be much use as a means of identification. I wanted something which could be used as a field guide, without having to carry a heavy book.....that failed! The first flower that I looked for.....not there! Why do they not add other species to make it a useful guide?.Version: 8.9

Not user friendlyI don’t find this at all useful in fact I’m struggling to use it. I wanted to take a photo of a flower then get an ID, this doesn’t. It seems to be lists of flowers with lovely pictures but the order isn’t clear (e.g. yellow flowers, many petals, leaf characteristics etc.). I wouldn’t buy it if I’d known and probably won’t use it, sorry..Version: 8.9

UselessI honestly don’t know what this App is for…. I thought you could photograph the plant in question and get an answer but that doesn’t seem to be the case. It’s useless and I’d love to know how to get my money back..Version: 9.0

Still waiting for "next update"....Bought this app on the strength of promised "next update" to facilitate auto recognition on iPhone 4s. This update has not materialised and I feel I have been "sold a pup". The app itself is not bad but the missing auto recognition on older devices seriously limits its usefulness. How about fulfilling your promises?.Version: 8.9

SearchDisappointed with this app. Flower photo identification is very poor. Can’t find the search button. Quite often pressing a button just takes you out of the app. Identified pictures are good and show leaves as well.Version: 9.0

Ok database, zero automatic identificationI bought this app for the automatic identification through photograph or camera. It doesn’t work. The database is fine but screen size makes it less useful in the field, which is why the identification aspect was attractive. Unloaded..Version: 8.9

Difficult to useI am very disappointed with this app. I feel it was a waste of money. Difficult to use and badly designed. I would not recommend it..Version: 9.0

Waste of timeI have an iPhone 5s. The auto recognition does not work. I get a message saying does not work on 4S or below. Should say does not work at all. Updates seem to be non existent.Version: 8.9

Kept crashingI didn’t find this app very user friendly. It kept crashing, and was clunky to use..Version: 9.0

Update has ruined itSince the latest update the photo recognition does not work, it gives either the same flower or some random flower completely different to the photo.Version: 8.9

SadJust spent an hour using the Auto Rec function to identify two different flowers. It Informed me that the first flower was a yellow species when in reality it was blue and that the second flower was firstly one species and then another quite different species, even though I was using the same specimen to photograph! The thing about this is that the App is probably being used by those who wish to improve their knowledge and this is certainly not going to do that..Version: 9.0

Keeps crashing, auto recognition very poorI thought I’d try it on something easy first. A bold clear photo of a dandelion ought to give just one answer, you’d think. Wrong. Same with primrose. Going to delete and look for something better..Version: 9.0

Don’t buy this app for the recognition featureBecause it doesn’t work. I don’t doubt that the index of flowers is very comprehensive, but that’s not what I bought this for and I’m very disappointed..Version: 9.0

UnidentifiableGreat concept for an app and reasonable and honestly priced, Howver, I couldn’t get any of my photos to be recognised by the app. I tested this against Bing’s on line photo recognition app. Photos that were recognised by Bing were not recognised by this app. I also tried to list all the flowers that are Yellow, and then again by other colours. The app only gave a few of the right colour and a large number of flowers that were no where near the colour. Admittedly it gave low percentage recognition for these. On the plus side, the photos of the flowers on the database are excellent. So if you know the plant the information is great. I use it for verifying flowers that I think I have identified. The developers need to improve the data retrieval algorithm as well as that for plant recognition..Version: 9.0

Feeble hit rate with photo idSo far it’s failed to id forgetmenot, water avens (although my photo was pretty similar to the one in the app) and ragged robin. The suggestions at 95% were amusing, if nothing else. It got yellow rattle and buttercup. I repeared a couple of photos in case the angle was unhelpful. Still no use. Quite a nice general wildflower app but the phito recognition is poor, I’ve found. Wouldn’t mind my money back!.Version: 8.9

Waste of money!Bought this for the auto recognition feature. Constantly crashes and simply doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money..Version: 9.0

Very disappointingThe auto ID is useless, I have tried it with plants I already know and it has not been able to correctly identify any of them. Also, the app does not have a search facility. For example I wanted to look up the diffferent types of dock but there was nowhere to search with this name. The app has very limited use..Version: 8.9
