GRE Vocabulary Flashcards for Positive User Reviews

Very helpful toolThis GRE vocabulary app is such a boon to my GRE prep! I’ve improved significantly on the verbal section because of my expanded vocabulary..Version: 3.1.4

Best thing to study for GreThis is the 'must' have thing for Gre!!! Really well designed app!!.Version: 2.3.7

Magoosh is the reason I’m going to do well on the GRELove all of Magoosh’s apps. I got the vocabulary app first so I could study on the go, and it quickly became a huge part of my study plan. Then I realized Magoosh has al these lessons and study plans available online so I signed up and have not been disappointed at all. I feel like I’m learning soo much more than I would be able to do on my own, given their schedules and quizzes. Magoosh is definitely the reason I’m going to do well on the GRE. I do wish there was a way to flag certain words in order to build a customized bank to study from rather than seeing the words in one category in a random order. I know they pace you and show you the words you need to work on the most, but sometimes I’d like to come back to a word after going through other words to give my brain a break from the one word that I’m having a hard time with. If they just show me the same word that I can’t remember over and over, it discourages me and makes me wish I could just hit “next” rather than “I knew this”/“I didn’t know this”.Version: 3.1.1

Great for vocabularyThe visuals need an update but apart from that, this is a great app for both preparing for the GRE, as well as expanding one's knowledge of the English language..Version: 2.4.2

Amazing toolHonestly, wouldn’t have learned one word of vocab if it wasn’t for this app..Version: 3.1.0

Great for in the go practice!I've been using the app for a couple of weeks. Like most people I'm studying for the GRE and this app has been so helpful especially when I'm waiting around for clients or whatever. I highly urge you to sign up for the whole Magoosh program (worth every penny) and add this into the mix. It helps you learn by repetition and gives you sentences. I make up my own to try to learn them as well. And then I try to add them into daily life. You learn the words so much faster when you use it. And just ignore your co-workers strange looks. Lol!.Version: 2.4.2

AMAZING APP!I’ve rifled through so many different vocal apps or Flashcards and nothing is as great as Magoosh. Instead of placing your learned flash cards in two categories (learned and not learned) there are three! Why is this helpful? This middle category helps solidify those vocab words you may have gotten one time, but come across again and have forgotten it. Another thing, the words give you context sentences AND it informs you if there are multiple definitions and which definition the GRE will most likely test you on. This is exactly the type of vocab learning app I was looking for and I highly recommend it..Version: 3.0.0

Great for on the go.The app is a very convenient way to review sets of words specific to the GRE. I enjoy being able to review words at any point and at any time..Version: 2.4.2

Good for on the goEasy to use and helpful on the go.Version: 2.4.2

Huge help! This has been such a huge help in learning the vast amount of vocabulary that is needed for the GRE. However, it would be better if there was a function to flag certain words so that you can review them later from the pile. I may feel confident and that I have “mastered” those words in a deck, but I may actually forget later on. Another thing that would be great is that once I have mastered certain words, I would like to focus more on the words that need to be reviewed. By going through a whole deck randomly, it takes a lot of time..Version: 2.4.2

Vocab reviewI really like this app. My learning progressing so much faster since I started using it. It’s at fingertips and instead of browsing internet or be in the social media, I am always learning! It’s repetitive, gets absorbed faster, the examples are perfect, written in such a way that it stays in the brain. However, I would like it even better if I could auto play it with sound, in that way I could learn while driving and doing other activities as well..Version: 3.1.0

Great app for memorizing your gre wordsI used this for a few days, it doesn't take long to finish all of them. And the function to categorize the words into three levels is helpful, you can know which ones are still under study and which ones are already familiar with. I would strong recommend this app for anyone who is preparing gre. I also bought the magoosh practice package. My preparation teammates thought this is one of the best way to practice before you go to the exam..Version: 2.4.2

Nice way to enhance your Vocab.A must of you're preparing for GRE..Version: 2

Helpful AppI'd like to cite what Chris said in one of his teaching videos - short and sweet. I found it more helpful than the heavy vocabulary book by New Oriental (新东方红宝书). Although I tried to memorize all the words of the book, I'm afraid it's not a good choice (probably) for someone who lacks enough time. The greatest thing is the app is very convenient and handy (since you've got to carry your cell phone all the time). AND! You can use it without Internet! I love this feature since my phone goes 'no service' when in tube..Version: 2.4.1

Great appThese flash cards are very helpful. They allow me to study anywhere and anytime!.Version: 2.3.7

Great for CommutersI work full time, so it's hard to slip Vocab into my daily routine (unless I want to irritate my coworkers with word repetition). I've been using this app to reinforce my memory of newly learned vocab words on my commute to and from work, or anytime I have the urge to look at my phone (better to scroll through this app than instagram right?). I think it helps immensely to be able to study vocab straight through an app, rather than having to access Magoosh through a website. However, I think the app would be more effective if it allowed users to make notes on each card. I make up stories for some words to help remember them, and if I could insert these into the cards so I can review each time, that might help a lot..Version: 2.4.2

Super handy and effectiveIt's been a month now since I've used this app and it is extremely useful. Also saves paper by not purchasing physical flash cards..Version: 2.2.0

❤️❤️❤️ this appGreat resource for expanding your vocab. I like the way it cycles the words you don't know randomly throughout and the ones you really struggle with, it increases the frequency for those 👍🏽.Version: 2.4.2

Gre prepGet this app on your phone!.Version: 2.3.7

GREat*There's an option to "wipe a deck clean" and start over with a deck for those that are having trouble when going back to review. Then all of the words you're comfortable with you can just mark as words you knew the first time so you can focus on the words you want to review* Very adaptive. Great for the not so GREat GRE. I make paragraph long narratives with the words I'm shaky on to give context. Wish there were little pictures for visual learners and an audio/hands free option for driving. Or at least a "say this word for me" option for words you don't know how to pronounce..Version: 2.4.2

Really great app for learning words on the goI didn't think I'd be able to study for the GRE while travelling abroad, but this app Ande all the difference. Learned 150 new words in no time. Only thing I would add is a feature that allows the word to be read to you (to master pronunciation as well).Version: 2.3.7

Magoosh= efficient, fits the needs a busy full time professionalMagoosh offers studying materials that fit my needs. I work full time and have 2 weeks to study for the GRE. I appreciate the concise efficient material Magoosh has to offer. I use this app on my commute home, waiting in line or on my lunch break. Magoosh has been refreshing and easy to follow (I took the test almost 10 years ago using Kaplan study materials which I found daunting and confusing.. oh and Magoosh is WAY more affordable).Version: 2.4.2

Wonderful appThis is wonderful FREE app for GRE/TOEFL aspirants Thank you magoosh.Version: 3.0.0

GREEnjoying using these. Have not written the test yet so cannot give results based review..Version: 2.2.0

Excellent Magoosh ProductI've been using this app as well as the paid online Magoosh GRE study material and it's been enormously helpful. I've been studying now for a month and the Magoosh study plans tell you to study with this app as well as other methods. I've taken their advice and have really been impressed at how much I've retained. I know I'm only supposed to review this app, but go ahead a pay for the online Magoosh access! Its comprehensive and thorough and appropriate for all levels. Do it! Especially if you're too poor to take a GRE class (like me)..Version: 2.4.2

Most comprehensive vocab listI never write reviews but Magoosh emailed me and asked me to since I “answered more than 200 words” on their app. I’ve tried a few GRE vocab apps and this one definitely has the largest word bank; in addition it’s divided up pretty well and allows you to work through manageable sets of words. A decent amount of the words have appeared on my practice tests, and I like how the definitions are short and concise. Overall, would highly recommend this app to the anyone studying for the GRE or someone who just feels the need to extend their vocabulary..Version: 3.1.0

Super Great Tool for GREIf you’re looking to take the GRE this tool is really useful to study vocabulary and it’s free! I would highly recommend.Version: 3.1.4

Good app!Good app!.Version: 2.3.7

Magoosh FlashcardsThese flash cards are well prepared and definitely structured so that 1st time GrE test takers can hone in on common GRE vocabulary. The weird, eloquent, decorative words I see on Magoosh GRE test prep quizzes and practice test are all found on this app which leads me to believe that the GrE uses these words (high frequency) on their test. Additionally, these flash cards comes with example sentences to give a learner a better idea of which context this word will be used in and a definition that the GrE will use over another dictionary definition. For example: intimate on google means to be closely aquatinted, familiar, or close to. However, Magoosh Flashcards definition wants you to know the verb tense of intimate (which means to suggest something subtly) because thats how the GrE will use the word. If you are serious about your verbal score on the GrE and are taking it for the 1st time, do it right and use Magoosh Flashcard set..Version: 3.1.0

Great appMakes it really easy to memorize GRE words. One thing I liked about this app was that the words you don't know keep coming back until you master them..Version: 2.2.0

Game changerIt’s the only way to have the words stick in your head. You can practice questions all day long or read the definitions over and over again, but the only thing that actually helped me get the questions correct was being able to remember the correct meanings of the vocabulary. This app really helps drive the words into you memory and not just forget them 5 minutes later. It’s also really convenient because it allows you to study whenever you have even a minuscule amount of time. 10/10 would recommend!.Version: 3.1.4

Great app!!!!Very helpful for me!.Version: 2.4.2

The tools you need, made easyI’ve been thinking about the GRE on and off for about 8 years and finally this year I’m committed to doing it. I want to get it behind me without huge time and expense because I’ve already been pondering it for so long. The Magoosh site and app are both straight to the point, simple and effective systems that give you the practice required to maximize your score in this game of an exam. This app is fantastic for remembering words we’ve seen, but not enough to internalize. Well now, I’ve mastered them and I’m confident that I’ll do great on the actual exam..Version: 2.4.2

Best GRE Vocabulary App!Been learning and stamping the words into my brain. It lets you learn 1000+ words into categories of Basic, Advanced and Common, then review and master them, so u have absolutely no chance of forgetting it unless u r cheating with the app. I have been using this app for a month now, not only remembering words for GRE but also applying it to my daily routine. The words have made me feel so confident and royal, i love the change in my vocabulary and verbal skills now. Its a great app which i am gonna use after my GRE exam as well..Version: 2.2.0

Would definitely recommendReally helpful.Version: 2.4.2

Word Revision Feature is the USPI wish I had this app many years ago. The user friendliness of the interface is brilliant, especially the future where words you get wrong keep coming back to test you till one actually gets it right..Version: 2.3.7

Great setup!I have been using this app daily to practice my vocab for the GRE and I really think the setup of the app helps me learn really well! At first, I thought it was the same as Quizlet but when I started really doing it, I found that it was much different. I am able to think of my own definitions in my head and then I can indicate whether or not I know the word, rather than having to type in a definition that I may not remember the exact wording. I have found myself really remembering the words and not just forgetting them the next day. It seems to be a really great app!.Version: 3.1.0

It helps me both intellectually and psychologicallyWhenever I feel empty, I browse through Magoosh GRE word lists to learn and to fill my emptiness..Version: 2.2.0

Needs more words. But still very good.Needs more words. But still very good..Version: 2.2.0

Very helpful!Great tool for studying vocab on the go.Version: 2.4.2

Powerful Convenient UsefulI like Magoosh vocabulary builder and other useful apps. You won't be disappointed if you try it. Strongly recommended!.Version: 2.2.0

Great app!Very effective in helping to learn the vocabulary words for the verbal section of the GRE! When I first did verbal practice questions, my biggest issue was not knowing many of the words. After using this app, I feel confident that my scores will be much better..Version: 2.3.7

GutGanz gut! Ich hoffe nur, es gibt mehr Wörter..Version: 2.4.2

100% Recommend!I truly never write reviews, but this app was worth it. I searched around aimlessly for additional study tools as I study for my GRE. Some other companies that will remain nameless were asking for upwards of $700 for self-taught materials and I began to feel overwhelmed because expendable funds were not in my future. A friend of mine recommended Magoosh and I checked it out. In under 24 hours, I was hooked - ESPECIALLY with this vocabulary app. It'd been a long time since I've had to study vocabulary but this app is by far the most user friendly and precise studying tool I've ever used. It's so enjoyable that it's one of the first apps I go to in my phone, it's like a game. DEFINITELY worth it 100%..Version: 2.4.2

Good appEasy to use. Has about 20 decks. 50 words in each deck and has a total of 1000 words..Version: 2.3.7

Great way to learn new vocab! The words are repeated in a way that you are bound to learn them. At the beginning it's frustrating because you will most probably not know any of the words but after a bit of practice, saying that you know the words is a huge confidence booster. I highly recommend this app! The practice GRE tests become so much easier when you master the vocab in this app.Version: 2.3.7

Great app for GRE students!I am a non English speaker studying for the GRE. The Magoosh vocabulary app has been incredibly helpful in my learning process. It's easy and convenient to use anywhere! I am now more confident that I can improve my reading and writing scores. I would recommend Magoosh to add the pronunciation of the words, otherwise I have to look it up in the online dictionary. Also, since the writing exam doesn't allow a spell check, I would recommend Magoosh to create a capability to practice the spelling of the words. Thanks and I look forward to taking the GRE!.Version: 2.4.2

User FriendlyVery user-friendly and convenient App to improve the Vocabulary.Version: 3.0.0

Very good appEasy to use and navigate. Two issues I have though: 1- it sometimes cycles through the same few words too often meaning I miss practicing other words in the same section 2- the ‘Back’ button often freezes on my iPhone X meaning I have to force quit the app and reopen it.Version: 3.1.1

Great app for learning vocab on the go!I've been using Magoosh's online program to study for the gre. This is app is a great and efficient complement to the program for when you want to learn some vocab on the go. The system also lets you sync your progress online with your progress on the app..Version: 2.3.9

A must haveAbsolute necessity for GRE takers. Love it..Version: 2.3.7

Very usefulThe rapidity and interaction with the user makes it so that you practice your weaker spots rapidly. Going forward, Magoosh should strive to make the definition more lively as to improve word memory “add synonyms, photo, idiom or explain word provenance or fun fact” ..Version: 3.1.0

Another great GRE test prep app from MagooshI have been using Magoosh for GRE test preparation for several months, and I am very impressed by the quality of materials and the variety of mobile tools they offer. It is definitely a very good value for money, and a top quality support..Version: 2.4.2

The best vocab appRecommend to everyone who is taking GRE.Version: 2.4.2

Wonderful app!Wonderful app! helps a lot.Version: 2.3.7

MissThis is a brilliant app to say the least. It's very convenient and thus really allows you to make the most use of any downtime. It's unique way of helping one master the words is also very strategic. The pool of words is very appropriate and relevant to the exam as I have encountered almost all those studied. I definitely recommend this app to all GRE candidates. One minor addition I think would be quite helpful is if we had an option to hear the words' correct pronunciation . This would encourage many to incorporate the words in day-to-day conversing!.Version: 2.3.7

Great app!At first, I thought simply looking at Flashcards and saying if I know it or not, would not help me learn knew words. However, I was wrong, I have consistently pulled up the app in my free time and worked through memorizing these word. Within weeks, I learned about 50 new words! I even started to notice these words being used in my daily life, and I began to practice using them as well. I love the simplicity of it and how much progress I’ve seen in my vocabulary in such a short time. My only recommendation is that a variety of activities for the words be created for additional practice, sort of how Quizlet is set up..Version: 3.1.3

GreatIf you can make it pronounce the word and definition that'd be great.Version: 2.2.0

App is good but...The app is very useful and well thought through. However, it is difficult to re-set the flashcards once you have completed a deck. The "reset button" never works - I often have to re-set the entire app or re-install it completely..Version: 2.3.7

Easy to useSo great for studying on the go!.Version: 2.3.7

Highly recommendUser-friendly, adherent closely to the new GRE. Highly recommend..Version: 2

Super helpful! The Magoosh GRE vocab app is excellent. Words are grouped by difficulty. I started with the first tier containing 50 words and am working my way through each level. The best feature of the app is the way words are organized within each tier. New words are interspersed among words I’ve already seen and learned. Words I didn’t know at first appear throughout the session helping me to lock down the new information. I also own Kaplan’s GRE printed vocab flashcards but I’m finding the Magoosh word list and definitions to be more applicable to the actual test..Version: 3.1.0

Study the common words if you’re short on time!I think I’ve reviewed an app once in my life but I felt the need to review this one. I had very little time to study for the GRE, and I had never really studied for a general exam before. My strong suit is math and I was terrified of the vocab but I spent about an hour a day for nine days just doing the common words. I took it today and got a 324! Very happy given the little amount of time I put into it 😅 highly recommend to anyone and everyone taking this absolutely unnecessary and unrepresentative rest lol.Version: 3.1.1

GoodReally great resource to study. Only flaw is that app continually circles through the same 10 - 15 words. Makes it difficult to review the entire word bank. Hence 4 starts instead of 5..Version: 3.1.3

Excellent Free AppWhat really impresses me about this Magoosh GRE vocab App is that it's so user-friendly. It is very comprehensive and covers a wide range of words. They have different levels so you can start off with the level you want. Also, I love the fact that they are not pushy: they are NO extravagant adds pushing you to buy their other products. I've read about their GRE prep and the majority of the reviews are so positive that I decided to purchase their very affordable prep, too..Version: 2.4.2

Really helpfulThis app is extremely well done to help you learn extra vocab for the GRE. Easy to use on the iPhone..Version: 2.3.7

Amazing App-Just what you need to keep goingThis is an excellent app that I use anywhere! Especially since I work full time and most of my free time at home I spend is for drilling. One hour train rides turn into vocab study sessions. One bug I have been noticing with this update: after you close the app, sometimes your progress will reset. Example I was reviewing 39 words and learning 5. I reopened the application to find that progress was sent back to 19 reviewing and 3 learning!! Please help with an update, Thankd!!.Version: 3.0.0

Great AppIt's great for reviewing the words you might have forgotten, and very good for helping you memorize new words. Smaller and simpler definitions are great for getting the basics down.Version: 2.2.0

Great App for GRE PrepI am taking the GRE In a few months and I need to get my vocabulary up-to-date. This App helps with that. It’s intuitive and easy to use. There are three subsections it seems these words are broken into; “Common”, “Basic”, and “Advanced”. I find the common deck to be more difficult than the basic deck which was a surprise given their order. The Magoosh GRE App is terrific for on-the-go studying. I use it especially when on the bus to work. My only criticism is the word ‘Raffish’ in the Basic III deck. The definition was lost on me for a while and I felt the contextualized sentence was lacking meaning. Would recommend!.Version: 3.1.0

Words words and more wordsThis app is wonderful. I learn by writing and rewriting things, so I wasn't sure this app would even work for me. UNTIL I figured out that I can write the next 10-15 NEW words from the app on flashcards each day and have them pasted on my wall in the kitchen (room I spend the most time in), but while out and about I can still access the vocabulary I'm working on! It is also nice to track where I'm at -- quite rewarding..Version: 2.4.2

Synonym! Synonym! Synonym! It’d be much more interesting if you could provide a few synonyms for each word..Version: 3.1.1

Amazing Also what i need to seeThe app is amazing and would highly recommend anyone preparing for GrE and Gmat. Some things i would like to see if the developers see fit. 1.After completing each set i would like to see the full list of words to go back and see a certain word. Sometimes it takes a lot longer to go and check the meaning of a word or recall a word as I have to scroll through or reset everything. A feature to reset maybe just advance basic or common sections or each set individually. Along with whole thing. 3.a really cool advance feature will be to pick difficult words from each section like a fav button tap at bottom right (the ones i am not able to recall after zillion times cause i have 1k words to memorize) and then a new section pops up saying practice section. 4.There should be a vocab test where the sat etc option which test you on all 1000 words. I know as a consumer you keep asking more but these are my suggestion. Love the app, website. Great work and i recommend you guys to everyone i know..Version: 3.1.1

GreatGreat app! Very helpful.Version: 2.4.2

Great appUsed all the time! I did recommend to few of friends. However, instead of just two buttons - " I know" and "I didn't know", I wish it could be more like "I am not sure".Version: 2.4.1

Must have appVery helpful GRE vocas!.Version: 2.3.7

Awesome app!Very helpful study tool for GRE vocab prep. 10/10 would recommend..Version: 3.1.0

Great appThe app allows you to learn through repetition. Great app..Version: 2.4.2

Super useful! The flashcards are so useful because they provide a sentence and definition. If you don’t know the word you can simply press “I don’t know the word” and the word will keep coming up until you decide to press “I already know”. It’s a great way to keep tract of what words you know and what words you need more practice with. With this app you save the time of creating your own flashcards. You will always have the flashcards on the go, you’ll simply open the app and you can practice anywhere, anytime!.Version: 3.1.1

Great toolThis app is really useful for learning the vocab. I like that it separates words into three categories so I can focus on the words I'm not as familiar with or am still learning. I do wish that you could skim through a deck, so that words that were learned longer ago could be reviewed quickly. I've also come across a glitch. While reviewing a deck I already completed, only two words in the entire deck would be repeated, whether I pressed that I knew it or did not. That was frustrating..Version: 2.4.2

Fantastic technique for learning vocabularyI’ve been studying for the GRE for some time and after using this app I really wish I had known if it earlier. It truly provides all the words that I have found to be of the most importance to know and has better techniques for learning them then any other app or online sources I’ve seen. Top marks from me. I truly feel from all my prep this is the best means for learning the words necessary for success on the GRE..Version: 3.1.4

Great way to slowly build vocabI'm using this product in combination with other Magoosh scores to boost my GRE score to where I want it. That said, these vocab decks are a great resource in and of themselves. Whether you need to start from the basics or just need to brush up on some higher level words, Magoosh has put together a comprehensive list of common GRE words. Each flashcard comes with the word on one side and a definition, part of speech, and sentence using the word on the back. Magoosh further narrows the scope of what you have to learn by focusing on the connotations and denotations of each word that are most likely to appear on the GRE. If you're studying and want to raise your Verbal score, you should give these a try..Version: 3.1.0

Flashcards like no otherVery helpful in building your vocabulary. I have used it for some weeks and I'm loving it. Highly recommended..Version: 2.4.2

Definitely would recommend. The vocabulary app from magoosh is fantastic. It is extremely convenient because it gives you the opportunity to learn hundreds of commonly used GRE words anywhere you go. In line, in class, anywhere. I have learned so many words that I never would have learned without this app. It is definitely worth getting this app if you are serious about the Verbal section of the GRE..Version: 2.4.2

Great App, life saverI love this app. It has been absolutely crucial to my GRE study. One frustration though is that there is no way to scan a pack of words. After mastering 50 words, I would like, periodically, to go through the entire pack and see what I have retained. For some reason it rotates the same words (that I click "I knew the word" and have been already mastered) so many times it can take 15-30 mins to review 50 words. I understand the app wants to bring the same words up over and over to increase retention, but I would like to see an overview the words. It would be great if there was somewhere I could go to see a list of the 50 words in each pack..Version: 2.4.2

They’re really good!I really enjoy using these Flashcards. It’s way more conventional than carrying around the regular paper ones. My only complaint is that once you’ve mastered every word in the deck (and you want to review) they’ll repeat words over and over again, so you’re not sure if you’re missing out on words because the words aren’t appearing one after the other. If they could somehow implement showing all the words in a deck (like a list), it would ensure that I’m really reviewing ALL the words..Version: 3.1.3

Worth itDude I can’t believe this stuff is free cause for someone who’s too middle class to afford enough time and money for GRE practice, this app and all other Magoosh apps are great!! Sounds like a fake review I know but I promise I’m for real dawg.Version: 3.1.4

Love the Magoosh Vivian app!Perfect for on the go or that little down time you have during the day at work between clients or appointments. Hey not only quiz you on the word, but continuously come back to the word to make sure it’s actually learned and not just memorized. As Chris has said in the videos in the month program (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!)), you can’t make a habit of just reading vocabulary off a page and expecting to memorize it all; that’s just not how our brains work. We have to integrate it into our everyday lives. But for just an on the go refresher, it’s an awesome addition to the entire Magoosh program!!.Version: 2.4.2

Ton of useful words and it keeps you on your toesPerhaps I'm asking for too much but would love for there to be other formats to quiz the words ie. Multiple choice questions or linking words together. Also would like to be to get the audible option to listen to the words..Version: 2.3.7

Great Vocab AppI'm very happy with this app, but wish it had a way to incorporate a multiple choice quiz or see a quick list of the words (in case you remember a definition but not the word.) Also, including phonetics on the front of the flashcards would be really helpful... I mean, I'd like to feel confident using these words in a context other than a backlit screen. Overall, it's a great way to learn and improve your vocabulary. I'd easily recommend it, though there is (like with most things) room for improvement..Version: 2.4.2

One of the best strategies to learn new vocab!I've been able to learn new words more quickly and efficiently with this app than any other GRE prep material I have used. It was frustrating at first because, despite seeing words repeated over and over, I could not remember their meanings. However, as time goes on the words start to stick, and by the end of it you will be surprised at how many words you can immediately recall the definitions of!.Version: 2.3.7

Pretty good!Definitions aren’t always perfect but was still very helpful!.Version: 3.1.4

A+Great for on the go review. 15 minutes here and there adds helps me learn a lot of words and is great for reviewing mastered words. Easy and clear to use, enough repetition and review to put those definitions into long term memory with enough practice..Version: 2.4.2

Great app covering a lot of GRE vocab! The app is user friendly and functional although would be useful to have a feature that allows flagging of words..Version: 3.1.4

PerfectPerfect.Version: 2.4.2

Great App, But…Update: I mistakenly hit “did not know” for this silly “WE OFFER COURSES” card and now I’m being served this obnoxious ad every other flash card. I’ve had this app since about 2011. So I’ve stuck with it. But I’m thinking I should download something else that’s not so determined to sell me a course I don’t need. I’ve made it clear, via in-app options, that I am NOT taking the GRE. Yet Magoosh keeps interrupting my personal-studying with ads for their courses. What was the point in the app asking me if I’m taking the GRE if it’s going to keep blasting me with “DID YOU KNOW WE OFFER COURSES?!” regardless of my answer? I’m 35 and completed grad school a literal decade ago. I’m doing this for me. Please patch in a way for this to stop. Thank you..Version: 3.1.4

Easy to use!Enjoying the app so far! Easy to use the flashcards and go through the definitions. I like how the flashcards are divided by what I haven’t learned, what I’m learning, and then what I’m reviewing based off of whether I knew the word when self-testing. It helps me keep track of what I’m still working on. I haven’t taken the test yet, so I will post a follow-up review on how helpful the words were after my testing date in late August!.Version: 3.1.4

Life from Zim🇿🇼 in China🇨🇳I have tried so many Flashcard apps and this one is just the best.👌🏼🙌🏼 I like to work with the ‘vocabulary builder’ app too because it helps test some of the words I will be learning from my flashcards app. Every time I get a break from work, I jump into these apps and in just 2 weeks my verbal score’s sentence completion marks have improved significantly. I wonder if the two apps could be integrated into one? Sometimes I want to go back to a certain word but can’t seem to do that in this app, Would it be possible to bookmark certain words for later in-depth study or something..Version: 3.1.3

Just one thing is wantingIf there were some images integrated to the flash cards, that would make a huge difference in memorizing the words, since the visual memory has a long-lasting performnace.Version: 3.1.4

Best GRE appAbsolutely excellent app. Had very little time to prepare and the flash cards were a life saver!.Version: 2.3.9

Very easy and convenient! This is an amazing app. It allows me to learn new vocabulary during my commute to work (in the subway). It is very easy to use..Version: 3.1.0

Great app for vocab preparationOne thing that I have really been struggling with in regards to my GRE prep is the vocabulary used in the verbal section. This app has been a great on-the-go tool for the commute to and from work that I can use to enhance my vocab. One tip: for the first couple tries of when you’re learning a new word is to read it in context and cover up the definition and try to infer the definition from the example. This really accelerated the process for me to learn the decks efficiently as I previously tried to rote learn the words by definition..Version: 3.1.0

Great app for learning GRE vocabI have been using this app for a couple of weeks now and it's been really great to test my knowledge of vocab that can and will be on the GRE. I haven't taken the actual exam yet but I have been doing practice questions and a lot of these words have appeared on the practice exams. I only wish that you could hear the pronunciation of the words. There are some words that I've never seen/heard of and it would be nice to hear what they sound like. Sometimes I get stuck on how to pronounce a word that I don't focus on learning the meaning. But besides that I think this app is great. I also appreciate that you also get examples of how the words can be used in a sentence..Version: 2.4.2

MangooshDespite the funny name, the application is very useful. It is smart and adjusts the frequency if flash cards based on your feedback (whether you know the words or not). Another good feature is the audio pronunciation. It would be nice if they add synonyms and antonyms. Also a set of flash cards for roots would have been useful. I personally HATE memorizing a bunch of strange and unfamiliar words but this application makes the learning process fun and fast. I love it..Version: 3.1.1

So awesomeI love using this to study. I do flashcards while I get gas, wait for food to cook etc. I love using it, it's super easy and intuitive! My only wish is they had an option for me to hear the word. There are words I've never seen written but have heard and used verbally, so there are times where I think if I could hear it I could check off that I know that word. Plus I want to incorporate new words in my every day conversations so I'd like to hear new words said so I know I'm pronouncing it correctly..Version: 2.4.2

Magoosh flashcardBrilliant app!.Version: 2.4.2

Great vocab learning toolWorks really well for study or General vocab improvement. Provides sentence examples and reviews each word several times..Version: 2.3.7

Essential GRE prepMagoosh is making a huge difference to my GRE prep, I'm so glad I signed up. The apps are great and the flashcards work offline. The materials are a must-have for anyone who wants to improve their GRE score..Version: 2.3.7

App is amazingSo I am getting ready for med school DPT. This app Is amazing because it pronounces the vocabulary words so you learn to use them in every day speech. As well I am extremely dyslexic so have something that is audible is necessary for me. Believe it or not this is the only gre prep app that I could find that is audio. I started by using the Flashcards eventually got the whole course prep. I have already used Kaplan and also tried a few others, and felt lost and overwhelmed. Having a learning disability trying to process all the information can be difficult. But this program is amazing. You learn from your mistakes and see yourself improving. It sets a day by day schedule and the price is great . As well Each problem has a video explanation of how they arrive at the answer. Have not taken the test yet so I will update you on the outcome; however, I finally feel confident that I achieve the score I need to. I do recommend this to anyone who is dyslexic..Version: 3.1.1

Great for fitting in that vocab practice! As you are going through the flashcards, you go from learning to reviewing to mastering a vocabulary word. There are many decks in sets of 50, which are easy to sit down and focus on one deck at a time. I usually do about one deck in on my commute to work. It's great to go over on the bus because it doesn't require data. Great way to fit in studying while you are walking, commuting, or doing another activity. Love it! You can also wipe your progress to retest what you retained..Version: 2.4.2

Already Learning So MuchI’ve been using Magoosh for just two days so far to prepare for my GRE General exam coming up in six weeks. Using their one-month advanced study plan and keeping up with the vocabulary flashcards, I’m already feeling like I’m learning A LOT. I’m very skilled in math (I’m a math major in college) yet the instructional math videos still give me useful tricks I haven’t seen before that can significantly improve my speed on the quantitative section of the GRE. I struggle a lot with the verbal section, and the vocabulary flashcards make all the difference in learning new words. After going through just one of twenty vocabulary decks, I’m already seeing my recently learned vocabulary popping up in verbal section practice questions. Magoosh is so effective in teaching you real content that will help both your knowledge and speed in the GRE. The user-friendly online interface makes practice very interactive and effective. Highly recommend..Version: 3.1.1
