ArtPose for Negative User Reviews

Awful and limitedThis app is awful. I deleted the app within five minutes of downloading. I didn't realize this only had a male model not a female one. There are very limited preset poses and its hard to adjust the body..Version: 2.93

Needs some improvementsGood if not really difficult to control, especially trying to twist rotate the direction of the legs and arms. I find myself frustrated a lot yelling, "no not that way!".Version: 1.04

Good but LIMITEDThis app can be very helpful however there are several things that drag it down. The amount of options for lighting and pose are near limitless and completely open for you to manipulate. The preloaded poses are varied and dynamic enough that I find very little need to ever pose one of the 3D models manually. I can usually find a preloaded pose easily enough and move it around a little bit to get what pose I’m looking for. In those respects the app is great however its limitations rear their head soon enough. You are very limited when it comes to body shapes, a problem that is very noticeable with the women models which don’t really mimic any body shape except the classic “superhero” shape. You cannot alter the face/expression and there are only a few options for hair (all of which are nothing near realistic). So any drawings you do from this app quickly begin to all look the same, same body shape, same proportions, same face, same hair. For the price the app is good enough, just wish you could alter actual appearance of the 3D model more. It’s fine if you’re gonna crank out canned drawings of superheroes but if you want to explore drawing actual figures you’re gonna be left wanting. Oh also for the male version of the app always turns my music waaaay down when I open it and won’t let me turn it back up, super weird cuz the woman version doesn’t, I dunno..Version: 1.6

Obj exportAll the pose apps need obj export..Version: 2.93

Not as good as I thoughtDoesn’t work well with the IPad Pro. Posing is awkward and the models’ limbs don’t move in an intuitive direction while adjusting. It works ok for very simple poses or if you use one of the pose options already available without too much adjusting. But it does not have the full range of human motion for accurate anatomy. It will also cause the muscles to bulge unrealistically if edited too much. Also noticed that the orbs for adjusting the limbs would move the wrong joint. The lighting option is ok. It doesn’t cover the full range of hard, soft and ambient lighting. Kind of wish I could get my money back, or have it credited back to my credit card..Version: 1.6

Not quite what I expected.I was hoping that with the promise of node selection and 'easy posing' meant that the app used a system of inverse kinematics (IK) the way 3D modeling packages let you manipulate figures intuitively, do, but that wasn't the case and it seems we're still lacking an app that can follow through with that. It seems like this would be the next logical step as that type of posing system has existed in modeling and animation packages already for quite a long time now. Maybe in a future update. The skinning of the models has improved over other earlier apps, but there is still noticeable pinching in the joints when bent..Version: 1.05

Hard to poseNot a huge fan. I’m experienced in animating 3d rigs but the way you pose these rigs is very unintuitive. you’re constantly having to shift the camera around to rotate a body part in the direction you want, and sometimes the control points will move another part of the body than what you’re clicking on. I don’t know why it’s not controlled like a normal 3d rig like Handy, that would be much more intuitive..Version: 2.5

Doesn't loadDoesn't load past the intro screen! Shouldn't happen with a paid app.Version: 1.02

Control is very hard to useTook a long time to adjust to the pose I want.Version: 1.6

Nice enoughNice enough..Version: 1.01

Almost perfectLove this app, fantastic for creating dynamic poses for art and figure drawing reference. Only gripe I’m having is with the save pose function. I’m not able to save or load any poses..Version: 1.6
