✓ No ways!I'm not sure who wrote the previous review. Clearly not someone who actually bought the app. I have been a T4A user for years on my Garmin and was hoping that finally, 5 years after the iPad had come out, that they would get this right, but they haven't! The map for South Africa is merely an image file, not vector based and therefore not properly zoomable. ✓ Lack of detail=big problemPurchased this app for a 3-week self-drive safari around Botswana. This app was quite helpful—until you come to any intersections of multiple roads or twisty conflagrations, which is rather common while off-roading in Botswana. In this situations, it’s nearly useless! You have to drive for 5 or 10 minutes, then check again to see if you’ve guessed the right direction. This cost us several hours of being lost multiple times, getting stuck in messy off-road paths, sometimes in dangerous situations, getting dark, very isolated, animals about, and far from our campsite. This was stressful. I am far from a beginner with maps and traveling. The zoom just stops at a level way too high up. At about 1 cm to a mile! The blue dot-arrow with your position is some 200 m across. Why? It seems inexplicable. It was extremely frustrating. I though maybe I was doing something wrong, like I hadn’t unlocked some park of the app. But the app shows the switch for the guide green and good to go. We were very dependent on this app but could not rely on it..BirsayVersion: 2.1.3

✓ Crappy pixelated mapsThese maps are not vector maps that allow you to zoom in. Instead they are pixelated bumps images which are too hard to use on 4x4 tracks. WORSE STILL: the text is hard coded to the image, overwriting the map- you cannot see critical 4x4 tracks! The app ended up being useless in critical areas. ✓ Outdated InfoThe App is a great idea. So much better than buying a guidebook. However the info on Namibia doesn’t appear to have been updated recently. The most current info appears to be from 2015. Some as old as 2011. If they kept the info current (or more current) it would be a 5 star App..Xena_n_MeVersion: 1.4

✓ TERRIBLE APP!This app puts to shame the T4A maps brand. And look at the insane pricing!!!!! It's is a total mess. Completely unintuitive and the cheap and nasty map background doesn't change as you zoom in. E.g. I was trying to look at Victoria Falls (quite a major Town for people using this app) and it's completely covered by a giant 'R" (from Victoria) so no streets and corresponding data is useable. Seriously!!! Their navigator app is also ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE TO USE!!! T4A need to sack their app guy, or leave apps alone until they can produce something which doesn't damage the brand..Tige2021Version: 1.4

✓ Can’t read it. Awful user experienceThe fonts are so large they cover all the roads making the maps completely useless. ✓ Very basic functionalityThe developers do disclose it’s not a navigation app, but really is this the 1990s? No navigation, not CarPlay compatible. Map appears to be static, so doesn’t even move as you drive through it. T4A can surely do better for what they charge - I've spent £15 for South Africa, Namibia and Botswana..RH71Version: 2.0.24
